Ace raised an eyebrow at his son at the request he had just made, "Are you sure, son?" Ace questioned his twelve year old son, for some reason in the back of his mind Ace could just see Megumi and Marco for some stupid reason not agreeing with this one bit.

"YES OF COURSE DADDY WHY WOULDN'T I BE!" His yelled just grinning widely at him.

Ace sighed rubbing his temples knowing that one or both of his partners was going to yell at him even if he thought about making the kid play dodge ball but with balls of fire and plus he didn't think Joz would be happy about having to fix the ship…. Because of him…. Again.

"Yeah sure Kiddo," Ace grinned widely before leading his son down the stairs towards one of the multiple training rooms.

Edward was practically bouncing with every step he took as they enter the room, "So what do you want to learn kiddo?" Ace asked.

"I want to learn how to throw a punch just like you and Uncle Luffy," His grin only seemed to widen at the thought of knowing how to fight like his older family members.

Ace paused for a few moments thinking about that before he returned the same grin his son held across his lips, "Alright then," he pushed him forward softly to stand in front of a mirror both of them faced the mirror, "Ok, feet shoulder width apart."

He watched the boy in the mirror as he shuffled into the correct standing position, Ace took up the same posture and brought his fists up watching Edward taking the same stance.

"Now you move with your hips not with your feet," Ace instructed as he twisted his hips in the direction of the punch he was throwing.

"Like this?" Edward questioned as he threw his punch, he flattered slightly but for his first punch it was good.

"Excellent," Ace grinned remembering that always praise a child never say you were doing it wrong, "But remember feet firmly on the ground you want all your power to go into the punch rather than you shuffling about."

"Why does Mum hit open palmed?" Edward asked as he threw another punch.

"It depends were you hit… Your mum always aims for here," Ace moved towards Edward and tapped under his chin, "Whilst I always aim for here," he tapped Edwards stomach. "I hit here to wind the opponent, whilst your mum hits the chin to throw them off balance."

"So how to hit is based on fighting style?" Edward questioned before shifting to do it open palmed.

"Bring your arm back a little more," Ace explained, "Your Papa uses aerial attacks, whilst your mum has the staff to help with her attacks."

"Whilst you have the devil fruit?" Edward questioned.

"Your dad, has a devil fruit so does me and papa but we us are fighting style to help heighten are devil fruit abilities," Megumis voice came for the doorway.

"MUM!" Edward turned grinning widely at her.

Ace turned slowly seeing a smirk across her lips, "Hi Love."

"If you're going to show him how to fight, remember he has to know balance."
