Cheering up Uncle Thatch.

Request from Rankochi: :O I' actually up to date! But it's been long since my last review. Could you do one where Eddie and Umi make one big surprise for their uncle Tatch who is a little down? :D

Umiko hummed softly to herself, as she watcher her Uncle Thatch he had a large grin across his face but Umiko was like her mother never reading someone by the face but their eyes. "Eddie...?" The blonde questioned her older brother.

"What is it Umi?" Edward asked her,

"Does Uncle Thatch look sad to you?" She asked.

Edward hummed looking down to the deck below, he hummed softly in agreement, "You know what Umi for once I actually think you are right."

He groaned in pain rubbing the spot on his arm where his younger sister just punch, "WHAT THE HELL!"

She rolled her silver eyes before she grabbed hold of her brothers arm and tugged him down below deck heading towards the kitchen. Umiko shoved Edward into the kitchen locking the door behind them.

"What the hell, you crazy woman!" Edward yelled.

"I want to cheer up Uncle Thatch and mum always says the best way to cheer someone up is by making them a cake," Umiko grinned widely.

"Umi..." Edward sighed, "I know you want to help and everything but we can't cook we both know that."

"Well..." She hummed looking around the kitchen before her eyes landed on her Uncles cook book collection, "We can follow the book."

"When did you ever follow a book," He sighed before he took one the cook books off the shelf, "Come on then."

Umiko cheered and started to rush around the kitchen picking up the ingredients that they needed.

"Megumi," The Siren glanced up from her book seeing Ace in front of her, "Have you seen the kids?"

"No... not since Lunch time actually, oh they will be fine they are, our children you know what they are like," She smiled widely at him.

Ace hummed before glancing round, "Hope they aren't breaking anything."

"Eddie," Umiko whined loudly as she sat in front of the oven watching the cake raise, "How much longer?"

"Another five minutes or so..." Edward answered flicking through the pages of the cook book.

"But I want to decorate it know," She whined.

"What on earth are you two doing," There mothers voice filled their ears.

"Uh oh..." Edward muttered as he turned towards the voice their mother stood in the door way looking at the mess they had made of the kitchen.

"Mum..." Edward greeted.

"Thats not answering my question Edward," his mother warned.

"Mum, it's my fault... I made a cake for Uncle Thatch he looked upset... see..." Umiko had pulled the finished chocolate cake out of the over and showed it to her mother placing it on the island in the center of the kitchen.

Megumi froze before smiling widely at them, "Go on decorate it... I will get you dad to clean this up."

Thatch hummed to himself as he sat in the mess hall, Umiko and Edward told him to sit down and keep his eyes closed. "You can open them now," Umiko instructed him.

Thatch burst out laughing at the sight in front of him, a chocolate cake covered in sprinkles and flakes everything you could imagine, "Whats this for?"

Both Umiko and Edward hugged him tightly, "For just being you."

"I couldn't ask for a better niece or nephew."
