I felt heat rush to my face as I fought to find the words.

"I….uhm….that's a lie." I stammered, though she only giggled.

"If it were then why are as red as a tomato?"

I didn't know what to say to that, however then she nudged me slightly and once I had dared to turn to face her, only to see that her eyes were sparkling with pent back laughter.

"You don't have to lie to me Tenou, is it the truth or not?"

Her voice was strained with the laughter that she was trying to hold in.

"Uhm…it's stupid, I know you're straight….. Just…. Forget about it." I mentally kicked myself for being so careless, especially when she could find out! However what she said next startled me more than her question.

"Why did you assume I was straight?" her voice was haughty, like she was jeering at me.

"Wait what?" I asked, trying to figure out if she meant by that what I thought she had.

"Haruka, have you ever even heard of me having a boyfriend?" She asked, rolling her eyes at me as she walked a bit away before turning back toward me.

"What about Seiya and Dark haired guy that sometimes picks you up from school? Aren't you with him?" I asked and she laughed, a clear bell like sound.

"You mean Mamoru? Good heavens no. He's just a friend of mine and he is with Usagi." She stated with a scoff then added "you've gotta be kidding about Seiya…He is just a friend of mine."

I felt heat return to my face as I made the connection.

"So you're….." I began but she cut me off with an amused grin.

"Are you really that thick?" she giggled before she added "Yes Haruka….I'm a lesbian."

The words seemed to stop time and I seemed to go numb however then something hit hard against my back and I whirled around only to find that darn Frisbee laying in front of me.

"You guys need to learn to aim." I chuckled as I threw it back, though I was a fine one to talk because I ended up throwing the thing sideways and hitting a tree.

Hotaru giggled at this, though she covered her mouth quickly and glanced up at me in fear.

"Oh yeah, laugh it up…I can't throw." I retorted, rolling my eyes as I ruffled her hair before sitting down. Though I vaguely wondered what her father had done to her that caused her to be so afraid of me.

"You're okay kiddo, now why don't you go play? After all that's why you wanted to come here." I added and she glanced at me then looked down.

"Uhm… maybe you can come paly with us?" she whispered, almost too low for me to hear and I chucked.

"Sure thing kiddo… though I don't know how good I'll be at throwing." I answered and she glanced up at me, disbelief and joy shinning in her eyes.

"Michiru-san? Will you come too?" she asked and the mermaid like girl chuckled.

"Of course."

The look that came over Hotaru's face broke my heart, no child should be afraid to just ask to be played with.

I followed them over to a secluded part of the park, however then Michiru pulled me back.

"You never answered my question." She stated with a smirk and I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck nervously.

"Fine I did."

"You did? Meaning you don't now?" she teased and I sighed. I did not want to admit that I still did.

"Uhm….." I began, rubbing the back of my neck nervously however what Michiru said next made me freeze.

"Haruka, you wouldn't be so defensive if you didn't. But I have to say you are cute when you get all flustered like this."

I felt my blood presser shoot up as she paused to catch the Frisbee and toss it back to the little pink haired girl who passed it to Hotaru.

"Fine….I do like you okay?" I admitted in a whisper as she turned to me and smiled slightly.

"Well I like you too Haruka-San."
