He awoke feeling fragile and foggy, and even an hour later the simple task of pushing himself up was more of an ordeal than it should have been. Dressing himself was even worse as his body screamed in protest with each jarring movement but as loud as his body protested his mind was just as equally silent. Finally done with a simple task that was far more arduous than it should have been he found his thoughts finally stirring though they wouldn't move beyond a sudden need to leave as he immediately felt stuffed and suffocated in the small room as he began to pace.
I have to leave now.
But where…
Where…!?
The word looped in his head over and over again like a broken record drowning out even the pain each of his steps shot through his body and the sound of Kagome screaming at someone outside the window.
Where?
Where?
Where?
Turn.
Where?
Where?
Where?
Again and again until a fragment of a memory wedged itself into his thoughts so abruptly that he came to a stop.
"Oh little one, what a terrible path you walk."
The first words the spirit Kagome had spoken to him so long ago broke the looping in his head and decided him.
…Kagome….
Spirit Kagome knows what I will do…
Where I will walk…
And who will stand in my way.
He pivoted one last time before leaving the room each step forced his mind to settle back into silence and by the time he reached to door he felt nothing.
Lack of update are due to the fact that I am finally a full fledged adult with my own place so it took me a while to get fully settled.
