Shippo studied the man the denizens of demon world trembled in fear of, the rumors that circulated about spoke of him as a holy man. But Shippo knew better it was purity of intent not of soul that made Shinobu so powerful, more so now that his binding chains had been cast aside.
And that he decided is where he would start his explanation.
"Mother once told me that she could see a person's fate though she's never been able to interfere with them, just give that person… a push, the ability to un-chain themselves."
"She told me this as well, that she could see but only up to a point."
"No, no not the visions that would at times assault her, she has literally learned to see chains that bind us to our paths, though she said they looked more akin to thread with multiple knots, multiple destinations, tug hard enough and like a slip knot it all comes undone and fates plans fall apart."
"Seems like simplistically stupid way of doing things.'
"Perhaps, but how many people truly think that the major choices they made weren't really their choices at all? Besides the powerless are easily re-tethered, and fate cares little for your journey just that you make it to your designated destination." Shinobu tilted his head relenting, consenting the point. "Shinobu the moment you set that tape down you severed your connection to fate. You tugged hard enough to undo all of fates knots in your thread."
