She wasn't stupid if he wanted her out of the way he had the means and the power to do so.
So she was pleased when he stopped to listen to her.
"Thank you Shinobu, for allowing me this chance to speak with you." She cleared her throat when he did little more than continue to stare. "I told you once before if there was ever anything you needed you had only to ask. I will not pretend to understand what burden you seem to be carting around but I wish you would speak with me, sometimes voicing your problems makes them easier to bare." Her eyes closed as she remembered the times he had been surprised by her hospitality as though he were unused to it.
Shinobu does not come from a kind home.
Nor has he led a kind life…
"I'll reiterate dear, I am here. And I will listen." Her brown eyes warmed as she gave him a soft smile. "Despite what you might think, not everyone is terrible, not everyone can be categorized in such a black and white manner or even grey there is a spectrum of color and no one person can be classified so singularly." She watched as confusion swept through him, and move aside when he pressed forward in his hurry to leave.
"Shinobu… we are here… we are family… you are family… and you are more than welcome to take what we offer." She spoke just loud enough for the departing figure to hear as he made his hurried escape.
