"She wants you to be happy."
For you… I'll strive for it.
His cobalt eyes looked down at the bouquet of pink carnations he had placed in the spirit Kagome's clearing which felt empty and void without her there. Beside him Kagome, the living one, gave him silent support with just her presence, her warmth at his side offering him more relief than words ever could. And when she drew him into her embrace, his much larger form dwarfing her own, he couldn't stop his lips from quirking a smile her love and understanding filling him with a joy that even his sorrows couldn't prevent.
Fare well old friend I'll never forget you.
AN: Blame Dragon Age: Inquisition. Seriously. Also writers block might have had a hand in the lack of updates, been stuck on how Kagome's going to destroy the jewel and my brain hasn't been able to move past that because lets be honest the canon way is pretty lame.
Side note, pink carnations mean I'll never forget you.
