When I started this story some two years ago, I never thought it would amount to some 230,000 words. I never expected it to take two years and I never expected to get such a big following. For those who have been here since the beginning, I say thank you for your support. And sorry for all those times I vanished for months at a time without updating! (If I've picked you up along the way, I say the same things to you, but less apology for vanishing since you probably endured less of them!)
There have been some great memories; reviews in multiple languages (Credit to the bloke who wrote it in Elvish), people trying to visualize Meganium leaning against a wall (One of the first reviews asked how that actually works), and the repeated question as to whether there would be Mega Evolution and whether Ash would ever get with Cynthia. However, my personal favorite was the time I was sat in a kitchen early in the morning after my brothers stag-do (I was his best man) hungover yet writing out notes for the next part of the story.
I've been asked many times about what my plans are for this story after it is finished. At some point I will go through and update the whole thing, fix errors and change a few things, but that won't be for a while. However, I am undecided whether to write another story based around the same Ash. If I did, it would go one of two ways; either a sequel a few years in the future, or a series of one shots based around Ash's 7 years away. Some stories have been told throughout "The Lost Master" but I have a few ideas for some more. I am curious as to which people would prefer, so either stick it in a review or a PM and I'll consider it. If I were to do it, it wouldn't be for a while, but I'll probably stick something in here if I do. Equally, if you think the story should just be left alone and nothing else written about it, then tell me!
As for any other Pokémon story, I'm not intending to write another in the near future. If another plot takes my fancy I might do it, but I've not got anything planned.
As for anybody who wants to post the story elsewhere. Go for it, just make sure that it is properly referenced, and make sure there is a link back to the original (On FanFiction). Also, I've had a couple of people ask about whether they can write a spin-off for this. Go for it, again reference it with a link back to the original and if you could let me know that's what you're doing that would be great. If I like your plot I may include it in any sequel I write. (I.e. if you wrote something that happened a year after the events of "The Lost Master" and I like it, I will assume it has happened.)
Anyway, I think that is it. Great job if you read this far (Or even read this in the first place!). It's been a pleasure writing this, and I hope you've all enjoyed reading it as much as I have writing it.
