Meditation had never been her strong suit, she often found herself distracted soon after as a solitary thought would invade her mind and bloom until her mind was riddled with random thoughts. Like now as she should have been meditating to sort through the other Kagome's memories and theories pertaining to the Shikon no Tama, instead after a short amount of time her mind had wandered an unintentional and completely off kilter thought sparking before bursting and her mind was once again abuzz.
And before she realized it her mind had veered.
Life had become a merry whirlwind of faces over the past several days as Kagome returned home. Her friends had fretted and family had hovered, Shippo in particular had been practically glued to her side tending to her like a delicate piece of finery and Shinobu…
She could feel her face warm and her heart stutter as her stomach swarmed with butterflies, they had done little more than kiss or exchange fleeting touches, small things they had always done, things that had always spurred her body into reacting only now it was so much more.
Perhaps it is because there is no more doubt no more worry to dampen what I feel?
"Momma." And exasperated voice teased. "Your mind is supposed to clear when meditating not full of Shinobu." She sputtered attempting to defend herself as he laughed. "Well during the time you weren't filling your head with thoughts of your beau did you manage to dredge any helpful memories up?"
"I'm not sure… maybe? She- I?- had a theory about making a wish on the jewel to end it."
His jade eyes sparkled with curiosity as a red brow rose. "A wish? What wish could possibly be pure enough to end it existence?"
"A wish, from the right person, that it was gone."
"Could it be so simple?"
