Chapter 3
This is more of Jane and Lisbon's honeymoon and them enjoying it. I felt like they needed a honeymoon. Thanks for the reviews and follows. I really appreciate it. I should have the next chapter very soon.
Disclaimer:Don't own the show obviously.
After the wonderful dinner, Jane and Lisbon went back up to their room. Lisbon went to her suitcase and retrieved her new white lacy lingerie.
"So, know what, I enjoyed today and I'm glad Abbott convinced me to go on this honeymoon. We do need this." Lisbon admitted grinning. She had felt so happy to just spend time with Jane and starting their marriage.
"Good. I enjoyed today as well. Good old Dennis. The romantic." Jane responded grinning getting out his pajamas from his bag on the bed and then he put it back down the floor.
"I might have a surprise. I feel kind of sexy." Lisbon took the lacy lingerie in the bathroom.
"Oh, I can't wait." Jane responded.
Lisbon dressed and strutted out the bathroom. She might as well enjoy this while she could since, she won't be able to wear this type of thing in a few months.
Jane looked at her wide eyed. "Wow, you look fierce, Mrs Jane."
"Do I?" Lisbon grinned sneakily heading to the bed.
"Of course." Jane grinned sitting on the bed against the headboard. He had dressed in the white t-shirt and pajama pants from the other night. .
Lisbon climbed on the bed . She went up to Jane on the bed on top and kissed him. Her hair fell down around her shoulders as she slipped her strap off to reveal her breast. Jane's eyebrow's arched as he watched Lisbon slip out of her lovely lingerie top.
"Teresa, you are more beautiful than ever." Jane whispered as she moved closer to him.
"They say that women are really sexier when pregnant." Lisbon whispered in his ear.
"OK, let's enjoy our sexiness," Jane smiled as they melted their love together as he wrapped his arms around her.
The next morning, Lisbon woke up and it was still so new and overwhelming that she and Jane were actually married. It was something she she thought she would never do. For years, her job had been the number one thing and her life. She had in the back of her mind the small hope of marriage and family. She never thought when Patrick Jane came into the CBI that fateful day, he would be her future husband and especially that she would be the one he would eventually move on with her remembering that it was impossible for him to move on from his wife and his need for revenge on her and their daughter's killer. The killer that took 10 years of his life to avenge. Over the years, despite him driving her crazy, she came to look forward to coming into the office other than to do her job. Over the years, they seemed to becoming closer and he began to trust her more to share with her. She didn't remember exactly when her feelings changed for him. She knew they had at some point in their relationship. She was aware nothing could really come out of it until after Red John was gone. She realized now the times when Jane didn't want her involved with Red John was because he wanted to protect her. She knew he must have cared for her and possibly loved her then.
She looked over her and saw Jane beside her his armed sprawled on the bed and saw his left hand with the ring she put on the day of their wedding. She smiled at the thought. She had seen him sleep so many times on the couch but never as peaceful and happy as now and she was the one that caused that happiness.
"Good morning, Sunshine." Jane looked her awaking up on his side and then took his hand to put on her face and greeted her with a quick kiss. His blonde hair in a mess. Then the name registered. He was starting to call her pet names. She hated pet names! She should have expected that with them being married.
"Did you just call me Sunshine?" Lisbon looked at him with a disgusted look on her face.
"Yes. Oh. My goodness. That look is adorable!"Jane grinned look at her disgusted pout.
"Don't call me that!" Lisbon refused still with the pout on her face. She turned to side right by him.
"Okay, names of affection not to call Teresa-#1 Sunshine." Jane stated pretending to write in a notebook and mentally taking note. "What about princess?" He begged looking at her with longing eyes.
"No, that makes me think of that god-awful bridesmaid dress Grace wanted me to wear. You called me princess then." Lisbon elaborated. Oh, how she hated that dress. Jane had almost walked in her getting dressed.
"Luckily, you didn't have to wear it cause her fiancee turned out to be a psycho." Jane paused. "That was one of the first times I saw you in a dress. I really did think you were beautiful." Jane remembered. "I called you an "angry little princess" who lost her tiara." Jane grinned. He really did enjoy the sight of her in that pink monstrosity of a dress. He loved seeing her grumpy look, so he certainly was happy he talked Grace into Lisbon being bridesmaid.
"Don't call me princess." Lisbon looked at him seriously. "Especially not in public."
"Is it okay to call our daughter that, if we have a girl?" Jane asked.
"Yes. Why exactly are you doing this?" Lisbon with her eyebrows arched with a confusion.
"Because we're married. We need silly nicknames."Jane remarked. "Names of affection-#2 Princess not to call Teresa. What about cupcake?" Jane grinned. He was so enjoying this. He just figured out she did not like pet names.
"God, no Jane! Where did you get that from?" Lisbon looked at him again with her disgusted pout. What was he thinking? Cupcake?
"Name # 3-cupcake-not to call Teresa. I've heard couples call each other that. Darling?" Jane asked laughing.
"It's a little better, not much." Lisbon finally agreed that one was okay. She patted him approvingly on the arm.
"I'm getting a positive response. Number 1# Darling name to call Teresa. What about dear?"
"That's better. Well, I think it's sexy when you say my first name. Usually I don't like how people say it. I like how you say it." Lisbon admitted. She did enjoy him calling her by her first name, if only she could get used to calling him Patrick. She knew he wanted her use his first name more often. The only she really called him that was when talking to her brothers.
"Te-res-a" Jane enunciated. "What about sweetheart?" He then asked.
"No, it reminds me of Pike. He called me that all the time." Lisbon rolled her eyes.
"Good point taken. #4 name-sweetheart-not to call Teresa." Jane noted. "I'm running out of names though. How about honey?" Jane asked.
"Alright. That's fine. How long are you going to ask about this?" Lisbon wondered.
"Until I get positive responses of a couple of names." Jane admitted.
"I don't particularly care for pet names. They seem so juvenile." Lisbon admitted.
"You didn't mind when I called you honey and darling at the poker game with Jimmy." Jane noted.
"I don't mind those names." Lisbon admitted. "What are we going to do today?"
"We should go down to the beach." Jane said excitedly. "And then look at the map and decide where to go from here."
They soon got up and dressed in the clothes for the day. Lisbon dressed in a sundress and Jane put on his one of his tropical shirts and khaki pants. Lisbon's mouth dropped at the sight and then she quickly closed it and grinned.
"You're in khaki pants! I never thought I live to see the day of you in khaki pants. When did you get these?" Lisbon questioned. She had never seen Jane in casual pants. She had seen him in his tropical shirts, of course. That's all he wore after getting back from his island haven but with his suit pants and jacket. Then he started wearing vests again after she said she liked them.
"I did some shopping while you were doing the wedding planning. I thought I better get some casual clothes. Did I ever tell you about my sarong I wore on the island?" Jane asked grinning. He was pleased she was impressed.
"Oh. A sarong?" Lisbon laughed. "No, you did not tell me. I can't picture that." Lisbon laughed again.
"Yes, I wore one. It was quite freeing." Jane grinned.
"OK, Blondie. I want to see you in that sarong." Lisbon smirked as she grabbed her purse.
"Maybe I should show it off to you like you did with your little number last night.!"
"I look forward to it!" Lisbon grinned. "Let's go eat breakfast and take off."
They walked down the stairs at 9:00 and went into the dining room where they had dinner and Doris greeted them and smiled. "Good morning, you two. How was your night?" The table was set for two places.
"It was very good, Doris." Lisbon smiled as she sat down in front of one of the places set.
"Yes, it was." Jane grinned sitting down as well across from Lisbon. Doris had set up the tables for breakfast with fruit and toast.
"Now, we have some choices today. We have omelets, Gary can do scramble eggs, pancakes, sausage." Doris described.
"Definitely an omelet." Jane grinned.
"Pancakes." Lisbon said.
"So, did you do anything fun?"
"Well, we went on a carriage ride and looked around town at the furniture store." Jane admitted.
"The carriage ride sounds lovely. What are you doing today?" Doris asked.
"Going to the beach." Jane answered excitedly.
"That's nice. Where else do you think you will go on your honeymoon?" Doris asked.
"We don't know. This is kind of a spontaneous trip. We didn't plan anything." Lisbon admitted.
"Our boss wanted us to go." Jane piped up and grinned.
"He sounds like a very good boss." Doris smiled.
"Yes, he is." Jane commented grinning.
After the delicious breakfast and talk with Doris, Jane and Lisbon traveled to Galveston Island State Park beach. Jane and Lisbon enjoyed walking on the beach especially Jane They strolled along in the sand among people including couples and families with children playing in the sand.
"I miss the beach." Jane noted. He remembered his time on the island in South America. He would walk around for hours thinking about good memories of Angela and Charlotte. They had started coming back for him. That was when he really started to miss Lisbon and seeing her everyday. Writing to her helped and knowing she knew he was safe.
"You miss California?" Lisbon asked observing his blissful look.
"Well, sometimes. Not so much the actual place. I miss the people more than the place. You know, Wayne and Grace, Sam and Pete."
"I miss them too. Do you miss it as home?" Lisbon asked. She sometimes missed the CBI and seeing Wayne and Grace and their children. She sometimes missed being head of a team, but now it didn't seem important. She knew Cho would be an excellent leader. It was never so much a home to her, just a place she lived and worked. Her team was the home at the time. She never really established a home there. She never had time. In Washington, she was able to buy a house and make a home. Now she was going to make a home with Jane.
"Well, my home is with you and will be with our child. I don't miss the bad thing and person associated with it." Jane expressed.
"Understandable, but have you ever thought about going back to see their graves?" Lisbon asked. She wasn't sure of how he would react to her question especially considering he had killed Thomas McAllister there. She didn't know how he did it, but she didn't need to know. All she knew was that Jane had called her afterwards. It was a message she listened to countless of times after Abbott's team at the time gave it back to her. It was amazing how much of a good person and boss he really came to be considering he was the one that gave the news the CBI was closed down.
"Angela and Charlotte. "They're not there. It's just earth." Jane admitted unbelieving looking a little sad.
"I suppose you're right. You know what, they're in your good memories like my mother. I don't need to see her grave to remember her by." Lisbon elaborated.
"The good memories have come back. I have thought about going back sometimes. That has crossed my mind."
"Okay, I'm glad to hear that." Lisbon understood.
"In a way, I made peace with their deaths when I hallucinated Charlotte, the teenage Charlotte. She wanted me to move, well my subconscious mind really, but I saw it as her. She approved of you." Jane admitted with a little bit of tears.
"I believe she really came to you. And I'm glad she approved." Lisbon smiled with a tear in her eye.
"I think at some point we should go back to California Wayne and Grace would love to see us." Jane stated. "And see Sam and Pete."
"I'm not sure when to start telling people about our miracle." Lisbon wondered. She wasn't sure when the right time would be to share the news, but she wouldn't worry about as of yet. Everyone would be happy of course.
"We'll worry about that we get back." Jane finally stated.
Feedback is really appreciated.
