Chapter 28: Brother vs. Brother.

Gavin's mouth had dropped at the series of information he had managed to gain access to. All the secrets that the Foot had he is now looking at one by one, all thanks to his friend's program that let him pass the system's firewalls. All the information he managed to gain access to is nearly overwhelming, there were suspicions of illegal activities going on and now he had found it all.

"This is way more than enough that I need," he said to himself as he searched more, looking more file up. A curious eye rose as he clicked on a file and saw that some trash and recycle files came up, which struck him odd in his book. "Why would they keep records on trash? I mean unless they do tax decuctions on them now, then what?"

Curiosity now gripping him more he clicked on the recycle records and was even more surprised when a login screen came up, "Now I know there's something odd going on. Why would records like this need a password? Only to hide something in an uninterested place." He decided to find out the reason.

Opening up the program again Gavin then typed in a few commands which caused a loading bar to appear. Slowly it started to load up the information as many different words appeared on the login screen. One by one the bar filled up until access to the file had be granted to him. Once that was done both of his eyes widen as many different files popped up, all with different labels and the likes on it.

"Imprisonment…tortures…therapy…training?" he began to read off the screen as he scrolled through them. Then finally one file that caught his attention completely, "…Junko's…overall progress?"

For some reason he clicked on it, and was surprised to find multiple journal entries, all dated all the way back to nearly two years ago. "What are you hiding Junko…or Mr. Saki, whoever is behind this?" Now things were much shadier than they originally were. Who is his friend exactly now? Is there something more to him than what's actually letting on?

Looking down at the clock on the computer Gavin sighed at the time, as much as he would want to look through these one by one he knew that he couldn't stay in the system for too long before getting spotted, so he would need to save that for another time. Reaching into his coat he took out two blank disks. Placing the first one inside he then started to copy some of the other information he came across over. Fingers drummed as it took a couple of minutes before it fully copied over.

Once it finished he repeated the same thing with the second disk but this time copying all the information on the recycle folder, everything within. Chances are that Junko may want to see this, but for another time when they were away from the Foot building. As the data was being copied he then thought of a backup plan for just in case things didn't turn out right. He did a bit of research and knew of a few things. He wanted to make sure this data got to Junko's hands, or at least someone he trusted. Both eyes then looked up at the web camera attached to the computer, an idea came to mind.

Reaching out he then found a piece of paper and pencil that were placed at the station, in case customers needed to take notes. He grabbed them and jotted down something before turning back to the camera. Reaching up he turned it on, taking a moment to compose himself before hitting the record button.

Kelly, the girl at the front counter of the internet café, was looking over some paperwork she had to finish when she noticed Gavin approaching her. Putting the papers down she then gave a smile, "Done already?"

"Yes," he nodded, but for some reason he looked nervous. "Kelly, I need you to do something for me."

"Like what?" she responded, the smile dropping as a bit of seriousness could be sensed inside of him.

He then took out the blank CD, which is inside of a case, and handed it to her. "I need you to hold onto this."

"What for?" she asked, taking the case in hand, and looking down at it, but dismayed in seeing nothing written on it.

"It's important, and I might forget about it since I'm really busy," He explained, trying to be vague with his words. He didn't want to frighten her with what could really happen. "I might be getting transferred to another state and with all the haste I might not be able to give that to the proper recipient."

"Then why not give it to him now?" she asked, calming down from the seriousness.

"It's complicated, just if I don't come back to get this in like ten days, then can you take it to the post office and mail it to that address?" he pointed to the paper on the inside, which had an address written on it.

"Uh…sure, I still don't see why."

"Thanks Kelly, I knew I could count on you," he smiled as he turned and left the building, not once looking back.

Raph grunted as he used everything in his power to keep his struggling brother down. The red clad turtle was not too long ago sailing across the rooftops, trying to clear his head sometime after all the stress that had been getting to him. It was then he decided to go down to the docks because the swishing of the water always was calming to him. To lord to be hold when he arrived he had spotted his brother on top of one of the warehouse.

Then it was like instinct took over, he was getting a second chance at getting his brother back and he wasn't going to ruin it. So he charged Don and managed to get him pinned down after a brief scuffle, and now he was having trouble keeping said brother down, when it was always easy in the past. But Donny has changed and now had much more fight in him.

"Don't even try it Donny, you're coming back home with me kicking and screaming!" Raph grunted.

Don is currently panicking as he struggled to get free, but with one arm pinned down by Raph's Sai and the other twisted behind his back there was no leverage to get free. "No…No…I can't go back…why didn't I pay more attention!" He cursed to himself as he was so easily caught off guard. He should have been able to sense his brother coming but was too focused on his mission to do so.

"Raph…get off!" he shouted, he knew it wouldn't work, but he still did it anyway.

"No way, you gave us the slip last time and I'm not going to let that happen again!" Raph responded as he tried to think of something. He needed to secure Don so that way he couldn't put up more of a fight, if there was some way he could bring his brother back home then things should be fine.

Time seemed to slow down in Don's mind as he continued to struggle, the feeling of being helpless showing in his desperation to get free. A feeling he had been having most of his life. A feeling that he never wanted to experience again…because of the memories of his abusive life at the hands of his family. All of them were now flashing before him, which sparked anger in him.

No, he wasn't going to go back, in fact a bit of payback seemed to be warranted in this case. Soon his struggling started to ceased as he then moved his leg, bending the knee so his foot was planted firmly on the ground. He then started to shake himself from side to side, which caught the emerald green turtle off completely.

"Whoa, Donny what are you-AH!" he cried out as his brother then sharply rose up and managed to throw him off his shell. Raph rolled on the ground and managed to get back to his feet quickly, but then his face frowned as he saw that Donny had gotten up and managed to dislodge the Sai from his hand. And in a quick instant he threw the weapon in his brother's direction.

Acting swiftly Raph ducked and reached a hand up, managing to catch the weapon in the air. Pulling it down his teeth gritted, now things have just gotten harder. "Donny, please, don't make this harder than it already is."

"No…I'm not going back…not to…that life," Don responded, putting a bit of emphasis on the word that. Which caused Raph to raise an eye, not sure what he meant, didn't he like his home anymore? Or did he…have a change of heart?

"I have no idea what the Foot did to you bro, but I can't just stay back and let them continue," he placed both of his weapons back on his belt, not wanting to use them for this. "Please, don't make me have to get rough right now."

The black clad turtle then took up a defensive stance, which is something he couldn't afford to do right now: fight his brother. He already had a task he needed to do and couldn't waste time with him at all. Yet he couldn't run off, no, since that would mean the job given to him would be a failure. Somehow he would need to deal with Raph and complete his job at the same time, so he needed to keep this short.

As he took up his stance the memories from years before, the altered ones that he wasn't aware of. He sees all the torment and ridicule he had to face, but that was when he was weak…but now he's much stronger than before.

"Rough? You should have thought of that before when we were kids," Don spat out with malice

"What?" Raph said out loud, confused and not sure what his brother meant by that. "I don't know-"

He didn't get a chance to respond as Don charged him, for what intended to be a shoulder ram. But to Raph's surprise he barely caught his brother jumping in the air behind him and had just barely dived forward into a roll to avoid a leg sweep. Turning back to face his brother Raph had to react quickly as Don charged once more and launched a volley of punches, which he barely managed to block.

"Don, stop it!" Raph blurted out, ducking to miss a right hook, and then did a back flip. "I don't want to fight you!"

"Well, I do!" Don said as he ran and did a jump kick, which connected with Raph's plastron, which caused him to stumble back with a groan.

The red clad turtle held the radiating spot as he kept his sights on Don, not wanting to take his eyes off of him. He knew that this encounter would be useless unless he fought back, something he didn't want to do. But if he wanted to bring his brother back then he would need to do it.

Mentally nodding to his decision he readied himself just as Don started once more with a series of punches. After the fifth strike Don then threw a right hook, which Raph caught and in a swift move, dipped under the black clad turtle and got behind him, managing to twist his arm behind his shell and wrapped his free arm around Don's neck.

The Olive green turtle gurgled as pressure had been applied to his neck, cutting off his air. Reaching up with his free arm he tried to pry Raph's arm from his neck while he also tried to free his other from behind his shell. He mentally smirked as he heard grunts coming from his brother, indicating there was struggling to keep him trapped. Slowly Don started to pull the arm away from his neck, clearing his air waves thankfully.

Raph grunted as a bit of sweat started to form, he was trying his best to fight back against Don. He had no idea his bro was this much stronger, being able to pull his arm off of him, even though it happened slowly. It was almost as if he was matching Raph strength for strength. But the red clad turtle knew that if he kept on holding on Don would run out of energy eventually, making it much easier to subdue him, he just needed to bid his time till-

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang!*

Rapid gunshots went off, causing Raph to jump a bit and look around, thinking someone was shooting at him. Unfortunately this proved a distraction for Don as the black clad turtle felt the grip loosen enough for him to easily break free, elbowing Raph in the plastron before leaping forward, putting distance between the two.

"No…that's the Foot's distraction, now is when I'm supposed to take out the target!" He shouted in his mind, trying to find out what to do. There was no way he could do his job with his brother here, he'll get him spotted and ruin the whole mission. So as much as he didn't want to, he'll need to deal with his brother first and hopefully they'll be enough time to still finish things.

Raph rubbed his plastron as a bit of pain still radiated from the spot, both eyes narrowed as he locked eyes with Don. "Why are you being so resistant, why can't you just stop and come back!?"

Both of Don's eyes narrowed as he heard this, anger filling him as the memories came back, ones where his work were taken for granted, and they basically abused it. No that wouldn't happen again. "Why, just so you can have your work horse again!"

Raph frowned at that, why would he say something like that? When have he ever been a work horse to them? Something wasn't right at the moment and hopefully he could find out, "What the shell do you mean? We never considered you a work horse?"

"Don't even try to deny it, it's far too late to try to apologize for it," he held his stance, waiting to see what his brother would try next. "I won't be mistreated anymore!"

"Mistreated…what do you mean?!" Raph shouted as he was verbally being caught off guarded. "Do we never done that!"

"Lies!" Don got angry as he heard this and launched himself, nearly tackling the emerald green turtle, but he jumped back a bit. "You all never cared about me!"

Raph jumped just in time to see Don doing a leg sweep, his mind is still processing what he just heard and couldn't wrap his mind around it at all. Where was he getting this, and why is he shouting things like this? "Donny what are you talking about!? You never were mistreated!"

Don gritted his teeth as he did an upper cut, which missed, then spun and tried to strike with his elbow, still angered at the denials he was hearing. "Stop with your lies!"

Raph caught Don's elbow and tried to wrap his arms around his brother. "Donny I have no idea what you mean! Whatever the Foot did to you or said, it's a lie!"

Donny ignored what his brother was saying, trying his best not to get trapped by him at all. "No you're lying!"

"No, everyone misses you!" Raph wrapped his arms around Don, keeping his arms pinned to his sides. "We can't function without you. Leo is not himself anymore, he's determined that we'll find you!"

"Shut up!" Don grunted as he tried to break free.

"Master Splinter cried for you, he misses you the most!"

"Stop lying!" the olive green turtle shouted as he tried to push against Raph's arms, slowly succeeding in pushing them apart a bit.

"Mikey is the only reason why we are keeping hope!" Raph shouted, hoping his words will somehow convince his brother, he had to try anything. "He's the most determined to get you back!"

Don's teeth grit as he tried to block out the lies that were being said, instead trying to focus on the abusive memories, going over them and seeing the truth before him. But for some reason something unexplainable happened. It was as if a bit of a ripple appeared in his memories. He shook his head and they disappeared, much to his relief.

"And Don…I promised myself that I would hold onto you for a long time…but not like this!" Raph grunted as his arms were being pressed apart, until finally his hold gave.

The black clad turtle pushing his brother's arms away and thrusted his head back, smacking right into his face. Raph cried out and stumbled backwards, holding onto his aching face as his eyes closed in response. Not being able to see Raph then felt his legs being kicked out from under him, landing on his shell with a shout.

A second passed as he opened his eyes, only for them to widen as he saw Don above, with both of his Sais in hand above his head. Before he could react his brother slammed them down at his hands. The prongs then pinned his outstretched hands to the ground, effectively trapping and leaving him defenseless. Immediately Raph pushed against his own weapons that kept his hands trapped against the ground, but they held firm.

With worried eyes the red clad turtle looked up, seeing his brother's angry face before him. "Now…it's time to feel what I feel," Don seethed as he kneeled down at his brother, and with both hands he wrapped them around his brother's neck and applied pressure, squeezing the throat tight.

Eyes widen as Raph felt his air wave closing, cutting off his oxygen supply and causing him to choke. Immediately his life and death response kicked in as he pulled on his trapped hands, his sais shaking but not wedging out as he thrashed about, legs flailing as he tried to get free. He felt the grip on his neck getting stronger as gurgling sounds could be heard. Raph struggled to breathe, but nothing was getting through as he slowly felt the fight leave him, almost passing a point of fading.

Don looking his brother in the eyes as he applied more pressure to choking the life out of him. The black clad turtle was determined to eliminate one problem he had in his life. Finally after so many years of abuse he was finally in control and now fate laid in his hands. He was finally making the decision and is going through with it.

"AH!" he cried out as a sudden pain shot through his head, causing him to release his grip and grabbing his head. Both eyes shut as the pain in his head radiated, causing Don to stand up and stumble back a few feet, showing no sign of ending at all.

The red clad turtle gasped for air once his airwaves were cleared, sucking up as much air possible, puzzled at what had just happened. The same curiosity doubled as both eyes looked upon his brother, seeing him in pain somehow. "Don…" he wheezed.

He didn't even hear it as the olive green turtle released another cry of pain, now falling to his knees as another jolt hit him. The flash of memories played at him in a fast rate, the same ripple from earlier appearing, but slowly losing its power as it started to disappear. Tears started to fall from his closed eyes as the pain intensified, fingers digging into his head, almost as if he wanted to reach inside and scrap the pain away.

The gunfire started to die down as all Raph could do is lay there and watch his little brother in pain. He wanted to go over there and try his best to help him, but the way he's pinned prevented that. Once again with all his might he tried to push his Sais free of the ground to get his hands free, but boy did Don dig his weapons deep into the ground good.

Finally after what seemed like forever the cries stopped and replaced with labored breathing. Still on his knees the hold on Don's head lesson as the pain receded slowly and became tolerable. Finally he opened his eyes, but they quickly widen as the sounds from the area finally hit him, and he realized it was quiet, except for shouts.

Breathing quickly the black clad turtle then looked into the widow that showed the inside, and gasped as he found his target, still alive and his men recuperating. He had just missed his chance, and now the task is a failure.

"No…No! this can't be, I missed my only chance!" he felt like a panic attack was about to come, dread filling him at the possible outcomes that could come with this. "What's going to happen…what's…sensei…going to say? No…what's sensei going to do?" The panic remaining at the thought of what his sensei might do to him because of this failed mission. This was another way to repay him for the kindness showed towards him, plus removing another threat from the public, all ruined now.

"Donny!" He heard Raph call out, prompting him to look his way. His teeth gritted as the sight of his bound brother came into view, anger once again boiling at the cause of his failure. He wanted to go over there and finish the job he started but for some reason…he couldn't.

He tried to make a move over to him, but it's like his body acted on its own and stopped him, feeling a slight bit of pain in his head once more. "Ugh!" he cried as he rubbed his aching head, stopping any movement towards him.

"Don…please…listen to-"

"Stop…just stop!" Don shouted as he shook his head once more before he looked at his brother. For some reason now he couldn't' harm him anymore, he wasn't sure why but it just felt…wrong. Almost like he shouldn't and it's not like him. This just confused him even more, frustrating him as to questioning that something is wrong. Right now his flight skills were tingling and he had to get out of here, now.

"Don no!" Raph cried out as he watched his brother turn and run off. The last thing he saw his brother's shell as he leaped off the roof and out of his view. The red clad turtle then laid back with an irritated growl. He had just got a second chance at getting his brother back, a once in a lifetime chance, and he once again blew it.
