Temari laid down on the bed after slamming the door behind her. The door did only little to silence the muffled argument in the kitchen. She did it, she just ruined a home. Now she was no better than the women she used to hate. And that thought drove her insane. How was it that she kept hurting the person she cared about more than anyone else? She didn't try but yet she kept doing it over & over.
She put her arms over her face in some vain hope to block out the conversation as the guilt started to seriously creep up on her. How did she become the type of person she hated? There wasn't too much time sit in self pity as soon the door flew up Shikamaru standing in the hallway.
"You gotta go." He said she could tell by the look on his face what had just happened. And honestly she didn't need to be told twice. Getting up she made her way as fast as her injured body could take her to the nearest exit. He could tell by the look on her face there was no way she could make it. But right now he had no choice but to pray for the best. "Go north you'll end up at the Yamanka compound Ino will help you till I can get there."
"What about you?" She asked as she made her way to the window. It was a stupid question for Temari to ask and she knew it wasted precious time they didn't have but she knew she needed to know.
"I can fend them off the best I can. Don't worry about me I'll figure something out I always do. Don't worry." He said before grabbing her hand. This time it was him, he needed to waste the very little time they had. But he needed her to know. "I forgive you." He said giving her a kiss on the forehead as she smiled. "Now go!"
She quickly jumped out of the window heading north like he directed her.
'Of all the fucking times to be injured.' She thought to herself noticing she was still moving fast. Well she was fast for even a shinobi, but not fast as her normal self & definitely not fast enough to outrun any ANBU after her. She followed the direction he told her to move but hardly made it very far before she felt multiple pairs of hands grab her mid run. She didn't have to look up to know it was a group of ANBU trying to hold her down as they apprehended her.
But what she didn't know was that Shikamaru was back at his home where he was being secured as well with a lot less fighting as he sat in his traditional thinking position.
