Tied up in ancient history,

I didn't believe in destiny.

I look up, you're standing next to me -

What a feeling.

Shikamaru stood on the balcony that same spot he stood so many years ago, the spot that changed his life. The spot where he kissed her and she delievered a blow he never saw coming. But he tried not to think about that. Instead he focused on the sun setting over Suna. It was so different than back home. Sure it was the same sun but out here it seemed brighter, so bright it seemed to set the whole sky on fire with it's bright reds and oranges.

He knew it shouldn't be possible really but it wasn't just the sun. Everything in Suna seemed brighter the sky, the colors, and of course a certain set of eyes. He knew he'd do anything for those eyes.

He was jerked out of his thoughts when he heard the door behind him open. He kept his gaze out on the setting sun even though he heard a set of footsteps come up behind him.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Temari said leaning on the railing next to him gazing out at the vast city.

"It is." He said simply happy to have her presence next to him.

"So are you going to be going home tomorrow? I think you may have some smoothing over to do with your girlfriend." She said casually though he knew what she really meant to ask. Did he even still have a girlfriend. He was pretty sure he knew the answer to that.

"I really don't think she's going to care when I get home. It's probably best to let her get things in order actually." He said this caused Temari to turn to him.

"Hey listen I am so sorry about all this. I really didn't mean to ruin your relationship and everything." She said this time it was his turn to turn towards her.

"I'm not." He said simply as he pulled her closer again. "I wouldn't change a thing." He said leaning down kissing her.

Yup he knew right there that he had made the right choice bringing her into his house during that heat wave. Those bright eyes were worth it.

What a feeling in my soul -

Love burns brighter than sunshine.

It's brighter than sunshine.
