A/N: Just a random thing I wanted to say. I don't know about you guys but personally I think Alexandra Daddario is getting cooler and cooler, like she appeared in Battlefield Hardline and stuff. When I first saw her in the trailer I was like holy shit! She went from Percy Jackson to Radioactive by Imagine Dragons to Battlefield.
Anyway just wanted to share what I thought about Alexandra. In my opinion I just think she is becoming more badass.
Luke POV
"Percy…" I rushed forward and embraced him. "Dude you have been missing for weeks! Where the hell have you been? And what the hell happened to you?"
It seemed as if Percy was put into model/army boot camp as every single inch of him seemed improved but there were strange glowing lines on Percy's arms. They twisted and turned like a snake, sending off soft pulses of purple light. Percy's eyes seemed to glow with hidden power. His eyes were like a swirling pool of silver and black that seemed to stare straight through your soul. He tilted his head as if he was listening to someone speak before turning to me.
"Luke… are you sure we can trust Kronos?" he suddenly asked. I narrowed my eyes.
"What are you talking about Percy? You aren't thinking about siding with those dreadful Olympians are you? Especially with Artemis?"
He shook his head, "No, but can we trust the fact that Kronos won't throw us away when he conquers Olympus? He is known as a master manipulator."
"He won't betray us Percy, we are his most faithful servants." I said.
"Luke, when I was down in Tartarus, you wouldn't believe the things I seen down there. There is enough things down there that can drive a god or goddess insane but as I spend more time in there, I came across a strange figure." Percy started. "A figure I still need to kick in the ass for making me experience so much goddamn pain," he muttered under his breath which I barely caught. I decided not to comment on it.
"The Primordial Goddess of Night Nyx showed me the error of my ways and what Kronos would lead to. Don't do this Luke, When Kronos wins, he will murder the mortals for fun, he would betray everyone working for him and slaughter them to bits and pieces till they cease to exist. Join me Luke, together we can work for my mistress for a deal that no mortal or immortal can refuse. The deal was sealed with an oath to Chaos."
"Percy," I began. "How are you so sure that Nyx wasn't manipulating you to work for her? For all I know, she might be the one that would murder people in the streets. To torture your friend's right in front of you."
"I told you Luke, she swore on Chaos. Chaos, Luke. It was an unbreakable promise. We can work together Luke, we could rule over part of America! Undisturbed, untouched, all that is asked is for your allegiance." Percy stuck his hand out for me to shake. "Together Luke, we could rule America together."
I stared at Percy's outstretched hand then toward Percy's hopeful face. "Perce… I can't just abandon these monsters… I can't just abandon everything to join you…"
Percy's face immediately formed a scowl. "Please Luke, don't tell me you fell for the empousa." I could feel the blood rise to my face as I shook my head. "Luke, despite who your godly parent is, you are the worse liar I have ever met in history."
Luke growled as soon as the words godly parent left my mouth. "Don't remind me who or what my godly parent is. He is scum just like the rest of the gods out there. The titans will rule the earth. Even if you are sided with one primordial, there are tons of titans. They could overpower your mistress in a snap."
"I'm trying to help you Luke, don't do this! Please let's just work together." Luke scowled and whipped out his sword and pointed it toward my neck.
"I stopped working with you when you decided to abandon me. Now get the Hades off my ship." Percy's eyes glowed at my threat and his fingers twitched as if aching to grab his dagger and stab me right then and there.
"Luke… I will give you one last chance; join me before this ends up in a three way war." I glared at him but he returned it with equal force.
"You are making a big mistake Castellan, when you are ready to admit your mistake, come find me…"
Percy vanished in a swirl of shadows leaving me standing there with a sword pointing at nothing.
I sighed and went to the sink to wash my face. Everything went by so fast. One minute we were having a casual… well semi casual conversation, next thing I know it ended up with me drawing my sword out on Jackson. All I can conclude was that Percy was no longer a friend.
He was the enemy
3rd Person POV
Olympus was filled with buzz about the recent news about how two of the big three's weapons fell into Tartarus. Currently a meeting was being held in the Throne Room. Inside was filled with chaos. Gods and goddesses were yelling and screaming at one another. Not one of them were able to hold a civil conversation. Zeus and Hades ganged up against Ares in full battle armor after learning that part of the reason their weapons of power were missing was due to him.
Athena and Poseidon looked on the verge of murdering each other as both of them glowed with a massive aura of power, glaring daggers at each other. Hermes was yelling at Artemis about how her son led his son astray to the Titans while Artemis paid no attention to him and sharpened her arrows, giving quick but angry glances at her brother Apollo as he stared wildly at the chaos that was erupting all around him.
"ENOUGH!" Flames burst all around the throne room. Everyone was silent as the flaming goddess walked through the throne room. "Look at you all… bickering like little children. If you believe yourself to be grown-ups then you best act like it!" Everyone looked down in shame.
"Now," Hestia said, calming down. "Since everyone is finished fighting, I believe we can continue with the meeting."
Zeus cleared his throat. "Ahem, thank you sister. Now as we all know, my weapon of power is of major importance and it has fell into the pit along with Hades' ridiculous helm." Hades sent a murderous glare in Zeus's direction but calmed when Hestia laid her hand on his shoulder.
"Now if Poseidon' useless son wasn't on the quest and perhaps my daughter… Zeus threw a glare in Hades direction which he met. "Then maybe this wouldn't have happened." A flash of anger passed through Poseidon's face as the ground began to shake.
"And Artemis' son! I knew he was bad news, waiting for the perfect time to betray us, holds all the same characteristics as that bastard Orion." Artemis nodded in agreement while Hestia stared at them in shock.
"How could you say that brother? Your daughter has put him through many difficult hardships and-"
"He is a useless male!" Artemis snarled, interrupting Hestia. "Right from the moment he was born I knew he would be just like Orion. He even looked just like him."
"How could you know when you never given him the chance?" Hestia asked. "Were you blinded in your own beliefs that maybe your son could have been different from the entire male population if he was raised properly?"
"I did raise him properly! I gave him food and shelter, all the things a person needs to live!" Artemis growled. "He just chose not to accept the generosity of my gifts to him. Deciding that he needed more, no doubt he was turning just like his father and the pig who birthed him."
Poseidon rose from his throne in anger, leveling his trident toward Artemis. "Say that again niece, I dare you." Artemis glared at Poseidon and whipped out her hunting knifes.
"Perseus' father was a pig, just like the one who gave birth to him."
Poseidon let loose a torrent of water. Artemis quickly leaped in the air and landed besides Poseidon's side, slashing her knives through Poseidon's Hawaiian shirt, drawing ichor from her cuts."
"Enough!" Zeus stomped his foot and the entire throne room shook. Thunder rumbled outside and lightning threatened to destroy the skylight above. "Return to your thrones… NOW!"
Artemis and Poseidon grumbled before returning to their appropriate seats.
"As I was saying, Artemis' useless son-" Hestia shot Zeus a glare but he pointedly ignored it. "Has committed treason. It has been confirmed that Perseus is now trying to bring rise to our father." Collected gasps went throughout the room.
"No doubt, with the combined power of my bolt and Hades' Helm, he would be able bring Father back up to the surface in no more than a year. It is most likely Perseus who interfered with the quest as they were bringing the items back to me. As for seeking revenge on Olympus, I have no idea why." Zeus answered staring at the several confused looks around the room.
Hestia smacked her forehead. She couldn't believe the density of these gods. They always thought their actions would have no consequence. She was about to speak up before noticing Artemis's twin as he stared at his fellow gods and goddesses in disgust.
"I may not like Perseus due to who his father was but I have managed to look past it recently and I believe that Perseus may be justified in his actions however bringing back Kronos may be a bit overkill."
Zeus and Artemis's eyes widened in shock. "How could you say that Apollo? What have we ever done to him that could possibly deserve as much hate as this?"
"Well with Arty's little prejudice against us males, Perseus no doubt suffered a horrible life. I know I didn't help out a bit by glaring at him every second I had but the kid has had a terrible life. You guys need to give the little kid a break."
Zeus's eyes seemed to bulge from his head. "ARE YOU INSANE APOLLO? THE BOY YOU ARE DEFENDING IS RISING KRONOS AS WE SPEAK!"
"Perseus has a legitimate reason as to why he is doing this. Perseus has suffered for hundreds of years under my sister's treatment. He has had one of the worst lives imaginable, living with the hunters and being hated by all the gods because of his father." Apollo replied calmly.
"I didn't really hate him, it's just that little Ms. Man Hater over there always kept Percy near her so I couldn't approach the little guy." Aphrodite said as she examined her manicure. "I just wanted to bring him to my place so he could have escaped the hunters for a few hours, perhaps a few months or years."
Artemis wrinkled her nose in disgust. "You wouldn't dare violate my son."
Aphrodite raised an eyebrow, "Why do you care? And who said that I would violate him? For all I know, he would have enjoyed my company."
"Woman, you had your eye on him for years!" Hephaestus grunted. "Stop trying to hook up with every damn man you meet or see! You already had thousands of children and you hooked up with my god forsaken dim-witted brother!"
Ares gripped his spear and prepared to stand before meeting the gaze of Aphrodite. She immediately flashed a grin toward him causing Ares to sit down before turning her full attention back to Hephaestus.
"What can I say? He is like eye candy. He has the most amazing body and the most beautiful locks of raven black hair I have ever seen. And his face is like pure perfection!"
"Well, he does have my looks. My entire family is filled with lady killers." Poseidon grumbled. Zeus glared at Poseidon.
"I think you are thinking of my sons Poseidon." Poseidon raised an eyebrow but didn't comment.
"I care because Perseus is still my son, whether I like it or not. You can do anything to him except take his virginity or make his ego bigger." Artemis growled. "He deserves neither of those things."
"That's the point Arty, you never let Percy have his childhood. He was abused and threatened ever since he was born. Imagine what mother would say!"
Artemis leaped from her throne and tacked her brother to the floor. Landing punches all over his face and body as Apollo struggled to protect himself.
"Don't bring mother into this! She would have been proud of me! Eliminating all the pathetic and arrogant males on this planet! The world already had enough of you useless males, populating the planet and spreading your seed in every maiden you find. By killing every one of you filthy males, the world would finally be at peace."
"Don't mess with me Arty. There will never truly be peace, the way you raised your child just ensured him of that! That's how serial killers are born Arty! They have no sense of love or compassion at all! All they know is violence and torture! Just like what you did to him!" Apollo struggled to say.
"Then I will lock him up and throw him off Olympus myself if I have to!" Artemis growled.
Apollo shoved Artemis off him and wiped the blood away from his bloody nose. "You have changed Arty. I thought you had a sense of family. Instead all I see is a cold hearted murderer. Who only cares about herself and what she gets. I don't see the sister I once loved anymore, I just see a spoiled little brat who doesn't care about family, not even for her own son."
"Then walk away! Walk away from everything like you always do! Walk away from me, walk away from father, walk away from your family! Go back to that little hole you crawled out of! I hate you!"
The entire council was silent as they stared at the interaction between the two twins. No one moved a single muscle.
"Apollo?" Hermes said uncertainly.
Apollo squeezed his eyes shut, holding in his tears before flashing away.
Hestia watched the entire scene in shock. Her entire family was falling apart. Family ties were being broken apart and there was nothing she could do about it. She watched Artemis' expression of rage change into one of uncertainty at what had happened.
Hestia sighed, and flashed out, in hopes to find Apollo and comfort him.
A/N: Huh? Love it? Hate it? Let me know in your reviews below and also here is the first chapter reviewed over by my beta The Sorrowful Deity. He did a great job by the way. No doubt this story will become better with any mistakes corrected and what not. Anyway leave any suggestions you have and reviews are always appreciated. Probably the following chapter after the next chapter will take place during the Titan's Curse I hope. I don't know, I'll just see where the wind takes me.
