Mario was playing around at the outskirts of the Sunshine Airport with an old umbrella, laughing his head off with joy as he touched several poles with it. As he ran downhill with the umbrella, Mario tripped, landing flat on his face as the umbrella drifted into the air. Mario looked up, gasping as he ran back uphill, trying to get the umbrella back.
"Oh no, oh no!" Mario exclaimed as he attempted at jumping towards the umbrella, but fell down several stories instead, landing in a dirty mud pit, much to his annoyance. Several pigs surrounded Mario, curious as they watched the red capped plumber get up and run towards the umbrella.
"You don't see that every day," Donkey Kong commented as he and Petey Piranha were eating through piles of bananas.
"Where's that red capped plumber?" Dry Bowser asked Toadsworth while the two were playing golf at the Cloudtop Cruise.
"Oh, Mario?" Toadsworth responded as he swung his golf club high in the sky, shrugging. "No idea. He's probably doing something adventurous."
"Ouch!" Mario exclaimed as he was hit in the nose by the golfball, glaring at Toadsworth. "Watch where you're swinging, old timer!"
Toadsworth chuckled nervously as Dry Bowser just shook his boney head in response.
"This time he's really gonna get it!" Bowser Jr. laughed as he set up a series of traps at the Grumble Volcano, rubbing his hands together. "Come on, Mario... don't keep me waiting..."
Bowser Jr. then watched, to his dismay, that Mario managed to jump through the obstacles with no trouble at all, making the young reptile groan in despair as he wondered what he did wrong.
"What do you call a pterodactyl that's scared?" Mario asked the trio of characters as they were waiting in line at the Coconut Mall.
"What?" Birdo, Waluigi, and Toadette all responded in unison.
"...a terrordacyl!" Mario joked as he laughed.
Awkward silence followed as Birdo and Waluigi groaned, with Toadette just shaking her head in disapproval as the smile on Mario's face disappeared.
