I was leaning against a cell, staring at the fire, listening to Beth sing. Her voice floated around the prison, bouncing off its walls. Beth could sing, that was true. I loved listening to her voice as she carried her tunes, just the sound of music made me feel relaxed. Though I wasn't familiar with the song, it made no difference. Just to hear her sing anything was enough. Sometimes I sang along with her, but tonight... I just listened.

"Some reunion, huh?" Daryl mumbled, looking at Rick who was standing beside Hershel. He had Judith in his arms, and the baby was so beautiful, just sleeping peacefully.

"She's in a jam." Rick responded, looking down at his infant daughter.

"We all are." Hershel spoke quietly, his eyes tired and weary. "Andrea's persuasive. But this fellow's armed to the teeth...bent on destruction."

"So, what do you wanna do?" Daryl asked, looking to Rick.

"We match it." Rick replied, his face matching Hershel's. Tired. "I'm going on a run."

"We'll head out tomorrow." Daryl said surely, ready to be with Rick until the end.

"No, you stay here. Keep an eye on your brother." Rick glanced down to Judith, who was beginning to stir, making soft sounds. Daryl looked over at Merle, then back to Rick. I could see the hint of shame in his eyes. "I'm glad you're back, really. But if he causes a problem, it's on you."

"I got him." Daryl assured, and I touched his arm.

"I'll take Michonne." The sheriff announced.

"You sure that's a good idea?" Dixon asked.

"Well, we'll find out." Rick looked down at Judith, then back up. "And Carl. He's ready. You hold it down here."

"You got it." Daryl nodded. Leaning my head back against the wall, I let out a breath, listening to Beth sing. Feeling closed in suddenly, I walked away from Daryl, and I could feel the eyes on me as I walked past Merle.

Once outside, I walked over to the exercise yard. Everything was quiet, and I had a sense of dread as I sat down on the picnic table. Not the dread as if something were about to happen, but it was a different kind of dread. Sadness flooded through my heart as I thought of Andrea. It was like she was a family member you hadn't seen in a long time. Then, she shows up... She's really there.. Now everything just felt empty because she was gone.

"Hey, girly." Merle's voice interrupted my thoughts, and I glanced over at him walking up, before looking back at the field.

"Hey." I said quietly, watching the stray walkers stumble about in the distance.

"Look, I know ya don't like me an' all, but I gotta ask some questions." Merle said seriously, sitting on the bench of the table. I looked over at him, and his face looked conflicted in the darkness.

"All right." I kept my eyes on his, curious as to what he had to ask.

"What happened? After the roof?" Merle asked, never looking away.

"Huh." I chuckled, looking back at the field. "Well, we went back for you, for one."

"Know, Daryl told me." He snorted out a laugh. "Sorry for pushin' ya down on the roof. Knowin' you came back for me and all."

"No ya ain't." I laughed lightly, looking over at him. "You're an ass, ain't no denyin' that. I only went back for Daryl... Anyways, after the city, the camp got attacked. Amy died, along with others... Morales and his family split up from us. Said they wanted to look for their people. Rick and Shane decided it was best for us to leave the quarry."

"Bunch of pricks." Merle grumbled, and I glared at him.

"Hey, those pricks got us this far." I growled. "Much as I hate to admit it, even Shane... But I ain't sad over him. I'm glad he's dead, even if that makes me a bad person."

"It don't." Merle shook his head.

"Yea..." I sighed, looking up at the stars. "We found the CDC. A scientist, doctor, whatever... He let us in, but there ain't nothin' left. Everybody's got hope, but ain't nothin' left. Goin' to the CDC proved that. Jacqui stayed there and died with Dr. Jenner.. Back on the road again we went. Daryl, Cheyenne, and myself. We stayed attached at the hip with your brother. He watched out for us. Protected us.."

"He's changed." Merle said flatly.

"He's become better. He's a good man." I said surely, looking over at Merle. "We lost Sophia. Herd of walkers caught us off guard. Sophia ran and we couldn't find her. That's when we split up and Carl got shot.."

"By who?" Merle asked, and I looked away again.

"A man named Otis. He was one of Hershel's people, it was a stupid huntin' accident... We moved onto the farm, kept searchin' for Sophia. Daryl had an accident-"

"What?" Merle cut me off, and I shook my head.

"Ran off into the damn woods by his damn self, lookin' for Sophia. Got thrown off his horse, got an arrow through his side. Then to top it all off, when he came stumblin' back to the farm, Andrea shoots him in the head.." I chuckled.

"An' that's funny?" Merle asked, his voice a slight growl.

"Well, she only grazed him. I went crazy, yellin' and tryin' to get at her. Luckily they held me back from killin' her. I was so mad, so scared.." I admitted, looking at my boots, my elbows on my knees.

"Thought he was dead?" Merle asked.

"It looked bad." I replied. "I thought she killed him.. He was okay though, he's tough. After all the bullshit, Hershel had a barn full of walker. Thought they were just sick, a cure'd come along. Wrong... We knew it was wrong. Shane decided to take matters into his own hands, and he let 'em out. Hershel's family, friends..neighbors... And Sophia was in there, too. 'Course, Shane couldn't put her down. Rick had to do it."

"Damn." Merle was looking out at the field.

"Long story short, they stumbled across my brother and mother when they found this kid who was part of another group. Bad group... They spent forever tryin' to figure out what to do with him. Dale got killed by a stray walker.. Shane staged this whole escape for the dangerous kid, and then tried to kill Rick. Rick killed him.. The farm got overrun by walkers and we had to run. I just remember Cheyenne and Carl were missin'. I was on the bike with Daryl, shootin' walkers. Then, I saw them. I saw Rick. I saw Carl... I saw Cheyenne, runnin' toward the house. I don't know why, but I jumped off the bike and took off. I got to 'em, by then it was too late to try and find Daryl. We were surrounded by walkers and we had to go..." I shook my head, trying to fight the lump in my throat.

"Well, don't get all emotional, girl. You're with him now, ain't ya?" Merle fussed teasingly, and I snorted a laugh.

"Yea, guess I am... After we left the farm, everyone found each other, except Andrea and Shay. We moved around through towns. House to house... Winter wasn't easy. Starvin', cold... One night, I fell asleep after the best night of my life, and woke up to the worst day. Maggie was yellin' for us to get up, said walkers were comin'. We got dressed and got the kids. Cheyenne got bit. Waited for the fever to take her out... Daryl, he's so much stronger than I am... He had to help me. They had gotten so close, all three of us had. I hated it so bad, it broke my heart." I wiped a tear from my cheek, staring out at the dark field.

"Sucks." Merle said quietly.

"It sucks." I agreed. "After that, I got sick. Stayed in that house for about a week, maybe more. Once I could travel, Hershel gave us the go ahead. We left and kept movin.. Finally found this place. Got in, one of the prisoners set us up. Walkers got in, Lori had the baby at the wrong time... T-Dog got bit shuttin' one of the gates. Didn't see it, Carol was with him.. We've just been tryin' so hard...and I think, sometimes, maybe it's for nothin'."

"Maybe it is. All gonna die on way or 'nother." He mumbled, still looking out at the field.

"But then... I start thinkin' about your brother.. He gives me somethin' to live for. I know it sounds corny or whatever... But, we've been through so much together, and..I just can't let him go. I love him." I looked at Merle, shrugging.

"Those are big words." He said, looking back at me. "Sure you mean that?"

"A hundred percent sure." I nodded. "I ain't never trusted no one. Especially not no damn man. But I trust him. Trust him with everything I've got... Can't lose him, I'd lose my fuckin' mind."

"I understand that." Merle nodded, and he shook his head. "Can see it, too. Could see it all over his face when we left. He couldn't stand bein' gone. I wondered what it was. I knew the group had grown on 'em. But you. You're the one he was missin' the most... My brother done dipped out on me an' fell in love."

"You know, you can be one of us." I said quietly. "Don't too much like ya, but you could grow on someone."

"Uh, huh." Merle muttered, and I heard the sound of footsteps from behind us.

"Spencer?" Daryl.

"Yea, come on and have a seat." I turned back toward him, give him a smile in the dark.

"You good?" Daryl asked quietly, standing beside me.

"Fine, your brother and I were havin' a chat." I teased, looking back at Merle.

"That's right, she's been tellin' me how much she loves ya. Guess ya been puttin' it to her right, baby bro." Merle grinned, and Daryl lurched forward, causing Merle to jump up from the table.

"Do you ever shuttup, Merle?" Daryl growled, and I laughed.

"You kids have fun, now, ya hear? Don't be gettin' too frisky out here." I could hear Merle walking away from us.

"What's that all about?" Daryl asked, and I grabbed his hand, pulling him toward me. He stepped up in front of me, and I opened my legs, allowing him to get closer.

"Wanted to know all about what happened after the roof." I said quietly. "So, I told him. Told him the shortest version possible."

"You sure you're all right?" Daryl asked, touching my face.

"Fine, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Know you don't like talkin' about Chy." He replied, his voice gentle.

"Still stings. A lot.." I admitted, resting my against his chest. I could feel his fingers in my hair.

"Miss her too." Daryl said gruffly, and I closed my eyes.

"Please, please.. Don't ever go again." I whispered, taking him in. I just wanted to freeze time. Freeze time, stay like this forever...

"Told you I ain't." He back away slightly, his hand sliding up my neck. I felt his finger under my chin, as he lifted my face up toward his. "Never again." He mumbled, leaning down to kiss me. The kiss was soft, his stubble prickling me. Leaning back up, he stepped onto the bench, sitting beside me. Standing up, I sat back down in front of him. Leaning into him, I looked out at the field.

"What are we gonna do?" I asked quietly.

"Kill 'em. Try and fix the gates... Ain't gonna be easy." Daryl admitted, and I ran my fingers up his arm.

"Not the walkers I'm worried about." I mumbled, and Daryl's lips were near my ear.

"We'll be okay." He assured in a whisper, and I let it go. His arms were around me, his hands resting on my legs. Tilting my head, I allowed him to nuzzle my neck, planting little kisses in a trail across my skin. Prickling my skin. Goosebumps formed across my arms at his touch, and I felt him nip gently at my neck. Pressing further into him didn't help the situation.

Daryl's hand began sliding up my leg, and I smirked, knowing he was very much up to no good. His fingertips drizzled up my leg, and with his other arm around my waist, he pulled me even closer. His lips on my neck made me feel dizzy, as his hand found the tip of my shorts. I could feel his fingers sliding underneath the material at my upper thigh, tracing the fabric of my underwear. Turning my head to face him, my lips touched his cheek as I leaned up closer to him.

"Tryin' to get us in trouble.." I whispered into his ear, and he snorted.

"You like it." He muttered back, and before I could say anything else his finger slipped under the material, offering skin to skin contact.

"Daryl.." I could only whisper his name in light protest.

"Shh." He whispered back, his finger moving in slow, teasing circles. It was like I couldn't breathe, I was so wrapped up in the moment. Turning toward him, I stopped his hand. Grabbing his face, I kissed him hard, turning even more toward him. Still kissing him, I stood from where I was sitting. Daryl's hands were at my shorts, unbuttoning them. Wiggling out of them, I kicked them off, not even paying attention to my boots. He pulled down my panties, planting a little kiss between my legs, making me take in a breath.

Leaning down, I unbuckled his belt, and he ripped it from his jeans. He pulled them down just enough, and pulled me down onto him. The sudden act caused me to cry out lightly, in a mix of slight pain and complete pleasure. My arms were around his neck, my hands tangled in his hair, as his hands found my hips. His lips were on my throat, on my chest, planting kisses. Throwing my head back as I moved against him, I could feel him pulling me down and lifting me.

I looked back at him, our lips meeting as we created a rhythm with each other's bodies. His fingers were squeezing my hips, keeping me grounded. I felt like if he let me go, I might just float away. My fingers were tangled in his hair, pulling gently, pulling him closer to me as we kissed. One of his hands let go of my hip, moving to my lower back. He held me close, kissing me roughly, and I could feel his teeth scraping against my lower lip.

Whimpering against his lips, I started grinding my body faster against his. Harder. He let out a low growl, his hand leaving my lower back, and resting on the nape of my neck. Daryl's face was pressed against mine, cheek to cheek. His other hand was still on my hip, giving a little added pressure to my movements against him. I could feel it building up inside of me, a thin layer of sweat had formed across my skin.

"Daryl.." I said his name breathlessly, trying to figure out what the hell we were letting happen right now.

"Just..let it go." He growled against my lips, his hand still on my neck. He pulled me closer, biting down on my neck. I cried out softly, the pleasure building up and releasing. Daryl quickly pulled his head back, kissing me on the mouth hard. I had stopped moving, but his hand on my hip kept me going, as I cried out against his lips. Kissing him back roughly, I pulled him closer, biting his lower lip softly. Earning a growl, it made me smile against his lips, as I tried to catch my breath. The kiss had broke, and his forehead was rested against mine, as we sat still on the picnic table.

Breathing heavily, I closed my eyes, and I could hear his heart thudding against me. I hadn't realized that we were that close together. So caught up in the moment, I hadn't realized that we had gone that far until it was too late. At least nobody came out here! I shooed the thought away with a small grin, leaning my head up lazily to look at him. His hair was matted to his forehead, and he gave me a smirk.

"You're crazy." I muttered breathlessly, and he chuckled.

"Should probably put ya pants on." Daryl teased and I huffed out a breath, slapping his chest gently. Carefully, I positioned myself to get up off of him, and I felt his hands back on my hips. Guiding me up. In the darkness, I could still see my shorts. We had a tiny bit of light, and I quickly gathered my clothes, putting them back on in a hurry. Somebody's bound to come checkin' up on us. Been out here long enough.. I watched as Daryl grabbed his belt, sifting it back through his belt loops.

"That was amazin'.." I mumbled softly, walking over to throw my arms around him.

"You're amazin'." He said hoarsely. "Now let's get inside."

"Mhm.." I nodded, still feeling hazy. We walked back into the prison and toward the stairs. Ignoring the looks from Maggie and Glenn, we walked up the steps and over to our cell. Throwing the blanket over the door, Daryl walked over to the railing outside of the cell.

"Let me know when we need to take watch." He called down to the others.

"Will do." Glenn called back up to him, and I could hear the hint of a smile in his voice. Daryl came back into the cell, shutting the blanketed door.

"Wanna go for round two?" He asked gruffly, teasingly.

"You're fuckin' crazy." I said quietly, as I laid down on the bed. He came over and laid down with me, rolling over to face me. Halfway on top of me. "I want you, Daryl."

"Good, 'cause I fuckin' need you. Now, again." Dixon growled, his lips near my ear. I giggled softly at the way he undressed me, making sure to tease me with gentle tickles here and there. He kissed down my neck, down my stomach. I shivered at his touch, and when I felt his breath tickling me, I moaned softly.

"Daryl.." I managed to say his name, and I felt his tongue slide over me slowly. I couldn't breathe at the feeling, every part of me letting go to him. Grabbing the side of the cell's bed, I tried to keep myself quiet. Clenching my jaw shut, I kept myself from crying out as his tongue moved faster and faster over me. It was close, the pleasure building up quick at the feeling of his tongue touching me. When suddenly, he stopped, the fast movement ending. His tongue moved in slow circles, and I could feel my legs shaking.

Biting my lower lip, I moaned again, still trying to keep quiet. He picked up the pace again, causing me to have to clench my jaw. My hands found his head, tangled in his hair, I squeezed the hair at the back of his neck. It felt as if I were daze, nothing but intense pleasure hitting me, causing my body to shake in spasms. I cried out softly, immediately hoping no one heard it. Pushing him away gently, I sat up, glaring. My heart was pounding and I was breathing heavily.

"Hn." He grunted, letting out a chuckle. "You sound so fuckin' sexy. You know that?"

"You.." I couldn't say anything else, I just plopped back onto the pillow, breathless.

"I, what?" Daryl was over me, looking down at me. His blue green eyes seemed to light up with boyish charm.

"Bad, bad." I mumbled, in a daze, feeling high. My heart was pounding like a jack hammer still.

"Gonna lemme have my way with you?" Daryl whispered, kissing my jaw, and down my neck.

"Go ahead." I whispered back, enjoying all of the love I was receiving.

"You sure?" He asked seriously, his eyes still lit up.

"Only for you." I leaned up, kissing him. I must have taken him by surprise, because he hesitated a moment before kissing me back. Kissing me softly, I felt his hand lift my leg to his side, as he entered me gently.

"I love you, Spencer." Daryl said gruffly, stopping a moment to look at me. I felt my heart melt at the sight of his eyes looking at me like that. Looking at me with nothing but love.

"I love you, too, Dixon."
