BREAKBREAKBREAKBREAK

I run to join Fluttershy and help Rainbow Dash to her hooves. I drape one of her hooves around me and Fluttershy does the same. We lead her carefully towards the others and keep her standing. She brings a wing to her forehead, breathing heavily. She must be in pain.

"Are you alright, Darling?" I ask.

Rainbow Dash coughs, staining her wing with blood. Twilight approaches her slowly, looking straight into her eyes intently.

"Can you hear me, Rainbow?"

She nods slowly, blinking. Her eyes scan us all and she remains still for a moment before extending her one wing and shoving Fluttershy and I away. Her gaze darkens and for a moment I feel fear strike my heart. Is she about to attack us again? We all back towards the edge of the cliff.

"R-Rainbow?" Fluttershy stammers."

I glance back at the others and see the slightest hint of a smug smile on Pinkamena's face. As though she knew the spell wouldn't work and refused to warn us. Applejack pushes through the crowd and approaches the angry pegasus. She stares at her pleadingly, tears filling her eyes.

"You don't want to attack us, Dash. We're your best friends." She says. "You remember us, don't you?"

"I remember you," Rainbow Dash speaks gruffly. "But you sure aren't my best friends."

Fluttershy collapses to the cold stone ground of the mountain and bursts into tears. Applejack bites her lip and breathes harshly, returning to us. We all seem to limpen with defeat, becoming fully aware that there isn't anything we can do. Rainbow Dash may be back to us, but she'll never forgive us. As Rainbow Dash turns to walk away, Cadence opens her wings and takes to the air, dropping to the ground to intercept her from the front.

"Princess Cadence?" Rainbow asks.

"We did not travel miles to find you, almost get killed, lose probably our most reliable asset of infiltrating Canterlot Castle and give up the most valuable magical advantage in all of Equestria to have you walk away. These girls saved you from being a monster, Rainbow Dash, and you are going to be grateful for it."

I glance back at the girls, all looking taken aback. This is surely the most angry and demanding we've all ever seen Cadence. Twilight takes a step closer, eyes pleading forgiveness.

"Please, Rainbow."

Rainbow faces Twilight, teeth clenched.

"Don't think this has been easy for me, Twilight, because it hasn't been easy at all. You five have been safe in that castle this whole time, but me? When you live in the clouds you're an easy target. Especially when everypony knows you were one of the Elements of Harmony. I fought for you all. Even though you drove me away, I protected you as best as I could. I lost a leg for you guys. I can't see out of my right eye because I was trying to protect you."

While Twilight balks, Rainbow turns in a huff and walks as quickly past Cadence as possible with only three legs, keeping her wing outstretched for balance. Twilight looks back at us, then makes eye contact with Cadence.

"Don't worry, girls, she's not leaving you unforgiven on my watch." The former princess chases towards Rainbow, only to be stopped in her tracks by a sudden impact.

The figures of three small ponies zoom to the ground in a blur and land in front of Cadence with a loud THWACK.

"And how do you plan to do that, EX princess of love?"
