"Hana?" Called Mona snapping her fingers in front of the distracted blonde. "Hana!"
"What?" She replied pulling her eyes away from the new guy Caleb. Mona couldn't deny how cute he was, but she did have her sights set on Noel. Since Ali was losing her control since she joined those losers Spencer, Aria, Emily and poor little Chloe. It was finally her time to shine after being in Ali's shadow for so long and betraying Hana's trust in all honesty Mona felt bad for turning on her long time friend.
Three and half years ago
The sun was beating down on Mona as she ran across the DiLaurentis lawn carry a tray of ice lemonade to the threesome.
"Here you go" smiled Mona, placing the tray on the bar of the gazebo pour an equal amount of ice tea in each cup like Alison had asked for.
"Thank you," sneered Alison her honey blond hair spread out on the lounge chair like a halo " you're dismissed"
"Why are still here?"Snapped Alison rising up as Naomi and Riley giggled at her antics; Mona felt her hands clam up as she tried to respond. "Well? Answer me"
"You said I could hang out with you today" whispered Mona "we would be friends"
"Why would I want to be your friend ?" Laughed Alison as her minions joined in with her " the only reason your here is because my mom is forcing me to hang with you, just like me she makes me do with Spencer and Chloe"
"Well-"
"You know what we can be friends" smiled Alison,
"What!" Snapped Naomi and Riley in protect to such suggestion.
"But you have to go through our trials" smiled Alison
"Anything" gasped Mona
"Dump Hefty Hana," laughed Alison "do that and you can sit with us"
Looking back now Mona could see that she was all swept in the idea of being Ali's friend and popularity; she didn't even keep her word. The next year during spring break she dumped them joining those losers for two years the fab five ruled the school. Mona never understood seventh grade was when Ali moved to Rosewood and Riley and Naomi ruled Rosewood Day why did they all have a falling out in eighth grade? They could since when she returned from family trip to the Poconos that spring she was different and hanging with Chloe more often. Shaking her head Mona pulled herself out of her thoughts; glancing over she saw Kate practically throw herself at Caleb.
"I think we should invite Kate to sit with us." Whispered Mona as she ate her lunch silently as Hana, Riley and Naomi snapped their heads to her.
"Are you drunk?" Snapped Hana
"Hear me out now," smiled Mona " Kate will think we're being friendly forgiving her for what she did to you last year and turning on us" gestured Mona to Riley and Naomi, claiming they were the ones who had gotten her drunk and crashed Hana's dads sports car. "Will make her do these trails and she has to pass to continue sitting with us then at my birthday dinner we'll humiliate her,"
"Brilliant idea Mona," clapped Riley and Naomi in union.
"I don't know Mona" whispered Hana
