A/N: Truly, I have to apologize to you all. I started writing this two years ago at a very different stage of my life. I went through some realty hard times, both personally and professionally that prevented me from really having the drive to continue this story. Between working on my degree among other responsibilities, I simply that simply didn't have the time to continue this commitment for all of you, and I sincerely apologize for all of you who have been following this since the beginning and have literally been waiting years for an update, or those of you who have followed this story recently with the expectation that I would be a normal person and update.
I am making a commitment to you all, that I will post a chapter at least once a calendar month. With that being said, I hope you all enjoy this, and please let me know what you guys think.
Rebekah's POV
The rest of the night continued much the same. Rebekah between Elena's legs, Elena between hers. They stopped only to eat, and reluctantly to allow Elena moments of rest.
While Elena slept Rebekah watched her in intrigued silence. Rebekah wasn't sure that she had ever been as peaceful as Elena was in the moments of her sleep. Elena snored lightly, while Rebekah played with her hair. Her face was so neutral so relaxed, Rebekah noticed small lines of worry between her eyebrows.
Rebekah knew better than to question how they had come to be there; she knew how. Elena's life had been stressful and she had only lived 18 years of it. Rebekah remembered her own life at 18- well the 18 in the 19th Century. She lived through the war of 1812, gold fever, and the civil war. Everyone she had ever known had died. She remembered in the 20th Century, watching new people she had met go off to fight in the war. It wasn't more than a few days after that she had the dagger plunged into her heart.
It had come as pure surprise to her when she awoke again only two years ago, to find herself in the twenty-first century, with portable phones, and computers, the internet. New and old fashions coexisting together, debit cards. Everything was so new, and so instant. She travelled to New York, and San Francisco and, Los Angeles; revelling in the new music, and the television sets everywhere; but once again she had no one left alive that she knew, besides her sleeping siblings. Why Klaus had freed her she would never know, especially not since he had simply let her leave and go on about her business, and try to sort out her life.
New York had been her first stop, She had money, most of in in bonds that surely had accrued interest over time. Imagine her surprise, as well as the banks, when her 100 bonds were worth over twenty million dollars.
She'd immediately had taken half of it, hiding it in various places that only she would think to look, invested some, and the rest she spent getting herself into the proper century, buying clothes that looked like they belonged in the era, not like she was from 1923. She spent time learning how to use technology, learning how to use public transportation, and of course learning how to drive the new cars.
Once she had mastered those things, she decided that she would go from town to town in a cycle and period of time, learning and meeting people. She didn't care much to search for covens of others; she was content to explore this new world on her own. But being alone got boring after a while. She decided to return to the place where her journey began in America. Mystic falls.
She looked down at Elena again, She could have had this so much sooner, if she had just come here instead of wasting her time exploring, she could've had Elena sooner. She cursed herself silently, as to not make any sound to rouse Elena sleeping next to her. She had lived a hundred lives, met hundreds of others; and yet here was this human, whose life she could have missed entirely, had Klaus not freed her.
There was an anger that bubbled below her surface for a moment, and then dissipated. Klaus had been the one to trap her yes, but he had also been the one to free her and that had to count for something. And it did, her release allowed her this, a true moment of humanity. She wondered if Elena relished her humanity, if she would ever be inclined to sacrifice it, for an eternity.
Living forever really wasn't all it was cracked up to be. She lived, and stayed the same throughout any age, while the people, very human people, that she had learned to care for had slowly begun wasting. It happened slowly and gradually, usually in their thirties, they would start to age, creases and lines finding purchase on their aging faces. Spots and blemishes appeared on the freckled skin, that began to droop and wrinkle. Their faces aged, but Rebekah stayed the same; and this got inexplicable after a while, so Rebekah had to cut ties with them all eventually. She attended a lot of funerals, visit a lot of palliative care units, and a lot f retirement homes. The people were often too old to remember her, if they were even still alive; but she still held on to them and listened to the stories they would tell her about their lives.
It was impressive to her, how much human beings could accomplish, despite their fragile nature, and short lifespan. The love they grow to feel, the relationships they open themselves up to, the hope that they always manage to find; she wondered if she too might find those things, or if she was finding them now.
She felt Elena stir beside her, and she looked back down to see the most beautiful pair of brown eyes staring back at her. It was absolutely remarkable to her that this human being could see that she was, and not hate her for it; she looked past Elena to the window where a small stream of light was passing through. The night was done.
"I see you're awake." Rebekah laughed as Elena made small sounds as she stretched. Elena's hair was dishevelled but that was to be expected after the night they had. Elena looked incredulously at Rebekah.
"I would probably still be awake had you not been stroking my arm like that." Elena said rolling over. Now she was resting on her elbows looking up at Rebekah. It was a nice sight, Elena in her bed.
" Well honestly, I didn't know what to do with myself," Rebekah sighed, "We were in the middle of something last night before you fell asleep." She finished playfully, turning on her side so they their faces were close together.
"I mean, if you wanted to finish what you started…" Elena trailed off, her teeth between her lips. Rebekah chuckled at that.
"What I started! Don't tell me you forgot so soon." Rebekah said moving Elena's hair behind her shoulder. "You started it with something like this…" Rebekah planted a kiss softly to Elena's bare shoulder, she moved higher up, placing kisses to her neck. "And then this," Rebekah said letting her hand go underneath the blankets, trailing down Elena's chest between her breasts, down her stomach until she reached the apex of Elena's thighs.
"Are you remembering yet?" Rebekah asked, breathing huskily into Elena's ear. Elena's response was to moan into the pillow, goose bumps appearing beneath Rebekah's fingers. Rebekah let her fingers dip further between Elena's thighs, finding her clit and stroking lightly; not enough to push Elena to the edge, but enough to make her squirm. "This was the exact point in time where you started dozing off to sleep, leaving me very wet, and very wanting for whatever you had planned." Rebekah said, taking her hand away from Elena's centre, turning her onto her back.
Rebekah straddled Elena's lap, leaning down to kiss her feverishly. Elena moaned into Rebekah's mouth, and that made Rebekah smile.
"Lucky for you my love, I have no intention of making you suffer; I'm going to give you exactly what you want. You just have to tell me what that is." Rebekah kissed Elena's neck, biting softly at its nape. Elena had a certain smell, much stronger than usual. There was a certain musk to her that Rebekah couldn't place, Rebekah didn't want to place it; just enjoy it.
Rebekah trailed her hand back between Elena's thighs, placing more pressure than before. She felt Elena quake beneath her, and it sent a shiver up her spine. She revelled in her ability to make Elena want more of her. She continued like this until Elena began bucking her hips into her hand, signalling her desire for release.
Rebekah was all to inclined to give Elena what she wanted, as Elena's moans reached a zenith, so loud it made Rebekah's ears ring. She leaned down to Elena again, slowing the motion of her fingers.
"Tell me what you want Elena, I want to hear you say it." Rebekah husked between kisses. Elena groaned, her eyes opening fully to meet Rebekah's. Rebekah could tell that Elena was so close, she just needed that final nudge, but when Elena said nothing, she stopped her fingers movements entirely.
"Don't tell me you haven't learned your lesson? I would've thought you would be quick to answer me." Rebekah said, climbing off of Elena, standing at the foot of the bed. She watched Elena's eyes travel up and down her body, clearly enjoying what it is that she saw.
"I want to touch you, and make you cum; but before all of that… I want you to take me." Elena said, her voice cracking with desire as she pulled the blankets off of her body to reveal her whole body, completely nude.
Rebekah's eves scavenged her form, committing every curve to memory, the way the shadows fell on her body, the way she was propped on her elbows, the look in her eye as she watched Rebekah take her in. with little indication or forewarning, Rebekah sprung into action, spreading Elena's legs and laying down between them.
She didn't waste time making Elena's dreams come true, slowly and deliberately using her mouth to drive Elena back to the edge that she had been on only moments ago. She felt Elena's body react again, the same way it had the first time, writhing and choking on her own moans. A low groan escaped her mouth as her body went rigid with pleasure, thrusting her hips into Rebekah's mouth one last time. There was a low mumble from her lips, as her mouth opened in rapturous pleasure, but said nothing.
Elena's body shuddered as Rebekah moved from between Elena's thighs, crawling back up her body, placing a trail of kisses as she went. Elena's mouth remained agape while Rebekah began to kiss her neck, her jawline and her lips.
Rebekah was suddenly pushed onto her back, with Elena atop of her. Rebekah could feel heat and passion flowing through her veins, while Elena started a descent of her own. Rebekah could feel her breath as she left wet kisses down her midsection, and thighs. She felt Elena's fingertips digging into her flesh as she spread her legs. Rebekah felt her centre pulse, needing and wanting more. She could feel Elena's hair as it moved in the crease of her thighs, while Elena's breath was washing over her core.
She could feel her desire seeping out of her. There were so few things she wanted more than she wanted this in the moment. She moaned as Elena's tongue lapped at her clit, flicking quickly- but then slowly ran the full width of her tongue across it. Rebekah held back her moans as much as she could, but when Elena entered her with two fingers, she couldn't stop them from escaping her lips. She could feel her chest reddening alongside her face. She felt a pull in her stomach so intense she couldn't stop her body from tensing and shaking.
The build-up was torture. Elena would go slowly, then quickly, and then slowly again. Rebekah couldn't take it any more; she grabbed Elena's hair in her fist, and rocked her hips back and forth against Elena's mouth. She could feel impending release only seconds away, she was sure Elena could feel it too, because she immediately enveloped her core, and began feverishly moving her fingers in and out of the apex of her thighs.
It took only moments for Rebekah's body to concede to Elena's talents, and her body began shaking and twitching as she was on the crescendo of orgasm. Elena didn't stop, she kept going, sending Rebekah's body into another orgasm only minutes afterwards. Rebekah tried to escape from Elena's mouth but Elena followed her around the bed. It only took another few moments that felt like seconds to Rebekah for her to be rocketed into an earth shattering orgasm.
Rebekah couldn't breathe, she couldn't speak; her mouth opened but no sound came out. Her calves were starting to hurt, from her muscles tensing so hard. Her eyes grew dark, she could feel the blood rushing to them, enhancing her sense beyond what any average human being could possibly imagine. The veins at the side of her eyes, and down her neck were black as night, of that she had no doubt. She could feel them pulsing quickly, needing reprieve. Her fangs were out; she could feel them piercing the inside of her lip while her teeth were grinding together from the sheer intensity the orgasm was bringing her. It took a few minutes after the intense orgasm's intense effects subsided for her to actually be able to breathe properly again. Her mouth was so dry she couldn't speak. Her eyes only took a moment to return to normal, her fangs returning back to their place.
Lucky for her, Elena had likely thought of her thirst, and had gotten her a glass of water to satiate her thirst. She drank it down quickly without much thought before turning to Elena and kissing her passionately.
"I can't believe you did that. I have never cum that hard in the thousand years, I still cant breathe. " Rebekah said slightly gasping. 'I still can't believe it. I want to describe how wonderful that was but I don't even know how to describe it." Rebekah said finally catching her breath. "Honestly, my mind has gone blank."
" A one thousand year old vampire is unable to access their vocabulary... I didn't know a little human could have so much power." Elena said, as she descended upon Rebekah's lips. There was a wild flurry of kisses that followed, before Rebekah had to let Elena come back up for air.
"Don't let your head get too big now Elena Gilbert. You may have phased me for a moment, but don't forget that its only because I let you." Rebekah said quickly biting her lower lip before rising out of the bed, and throwing a shawl over her body and beginning to retreat down the hallway.
She heard the pattering of feet in the hallway long before she saw Elena's small frame while she descended the stairs. She was in the kitchen, pouring a coffee when Elena finally entered. She turned quickly giving Elena the cup full of the warm substance. She heard Elena hum gleefully as she drank, and Rebekah resumed her work in the kitchen.
Rebekah got out a frying pan, eggs from the fridge, and some bacon. She reached in the back of a cupboard to find a toaster, brand new; had never been used. 'A product of all that money.' Rebekah thought to herself. She pulled out a loaf of bread, and some butter from the counter. She quickly made Elena two eggs, toast and some bacon, and set it down on the table in the centre of the room. Elena looked up at her for a moment, searching for something that Rebekah couldn't place before starting to eat.
Rebekah got herself a cup of coffee, black, and sat across from Elena as she ate. She watched as Elena ate quickly, her mouth furiously chewing the food. Rebekah was so thirsty she couldn't stand it, she needed blood, but she knew that it would be common courtesy to wait until Elena had eaten.
"Aren't you going to eat Rebekah?" Elena said between bites of food. She looked at Rebekah expectantly, but Rebekah couldn't figure out why. Elena did know that vampires by virtue of the name drank blood right?
"I don't really eat Elena, I feed." Rebekah answered, taking a sip of her coffee. "I try not to do it to human beings if I can manage." She added, slowly setting her half finished cup down. Elena nodded, swallowing before speaking again.
"I know you drink blood Rebekah. I'm asking why you aren't enjoying a real and wholesome breakfast with me, and are instead opting to drink a coffee that I'm sure doesn't taste good to you." She asked eyes locked with Rebekah. "You certainly deserve it after all of the hard work you did this morning." Elena wiggled her eyebrows at Rebekah.
"I don't really make it a hobby to feed in front of humans, it tends to make them… squeamish." Rebekah said, twirling her ring around her finger. Looking at Elena unsurprised.
"I don't mind Rebekah, it doesn't bother me in the slightest." Elena said shrugging her shoulders. "I cant control when I am hungry, neither can you. I don't expect you to stop being what you are because of some perceived sensibilities." Elena said a smile coming to her lips. "Now is one hell of a time to be worried about what might disgust me considering all of the dirty and depraved things we've been doing together."
Rebekah laughed while getting up and going to the fridge and going into the crisper drawer, and pulling out a bag of AB positive blood. She popped it into her now empty coffee mug and popped it into the microwave. Once the timer was finished, she took it out and cut a hole in the corner of the bag, pouring the contents into her coffee cup.
She sat back down across from Elena, drinking down her meal. She could feel her eyes brighten, her throat getting more lubricated. She had energy again. She felt so good, so healthy and full of energy. She smiled happily at Elena as she set her glass down, empty, on the kitchen table.
"You've got some on your face." Elena remarked. As Rebekah raised her hand to wipe it Elena's hand had already found the blood. Rebekah felt Elena's thumb collect the blood, and it was a half a second later, that Elena's thumb had found its way into her mouth, leaving the blood on her tongue.
It was erotic to Rebekah, the way that Elena looked at her like she was going to devour her, it was the first time that as a vampire she felt truly like someone wanted to take her, and make her feel wondrous things. There was a hunger behind Elena's eyes, and something else to that Rebekah had never seen, something more than love, than longing, something else entirely.
She wondered what it was until Elena captured her lips in a kiss again, smiling into it, their tongues intertwining in each other's mouths.
"You're beautiful. I wouldn't change anything about you for the world." Elena said in a voice so low that even Rebekah could barely hear.
For the first time in her life, someone had given her a compliment and really meant it, not said it to get into her good books or into her pants. Someone had looked at her, and seen something that they liked, that they appreciated, and something that that wouldn't change or trade. That was a foreign concept to her. Nobody, not one in over a thousand years had ever given to her what Elena Gilbert had given to her in this exact moment.
The realization made her so happy, an emotion that was becoming more and more common the more and more time she spent with Elena.
