A/N: surprise, another update for you all. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing.

Elena's POV

Saturday morning with Rebekah passed without much incident. After they both enjoyed breakfast, they decided to go out for a stroll of the property around Rebekah's house. Elena hadn't been paying much attention to the grounds around the house, but now in the morning with the sun beating down, she was noticing things she hadn't the day before.

They walked around to the back of the house, to find a big pool, and a terrace with nice furniture, a bar patio and a shed that just peaked around the corner of the house. Elena looked around, curious about how Rebekah could afford all of this, even if she was over a thousand years old, and spent all of her time working… there was no feasible way for her to accumulate her wealth. Elena made a mental note to ask Rebekah about it later, but for now, simply opted to enjoy the back yard.

"Rebekah," Elena said, turning to look at the blonde beside her, " this place is beautiful, why do we waste time at my house when we could be here, lounging by your pool." Elena said laughing a little bit, the sheer surprise and wonder surrounding Rebekah never seemed to cease.

"I didn't really think about it… I suppose that is always an option." Rebekah said, grabbing Elena's hand quickly. Elena's heart started hammering. The contact with Rebekah always made her pulse race, throbbing in her veins. She was sure that Rebekah could hear it, and smell it, it made Elena feel a little bit bad. She couldn't imagine what it felt like to be continually starving, and knowing that if you quenched your hunger that you could kill someone. She wondered if Rebekah had ever done it; took a life. Elena realized she didn't know much about Rebekah.

She pulled Rebekah by the hand and looked into her beautiful eyes, getting lost in them for a moment, her curiosity besting her.

" have you killed people before." Elena asked, a slight tremble to her voice. Part of her wanted to know, another part of her didn't. She wondered if her opinion of Rebekah would change with the answer.

"I have, I'm not proud of it."Rebekah said, "I have never killed anyone just to kill, there have been times where, I've needed to feed or die, and I chose to feed. There have been times where I was being hunted…" Elena watched Rebekah's lip tremble as she continued. "I've watched people I love die, after living wholesome lives, I have never killed for the sake of it, I don't have the same bloodlust as some of the other vampires. I have never wanted to take a life, I have only done so out of absolute necessity to myself."Elena watched, shaking her head slightly as she listened to Rebekah speak.

"None of that is your fault Rebekah, it has never been your fault, it will never be your fault." Elena said reaching her hand up to stroke Rebekah's face tenderly, watching as a tears began to form in her eyes. Elena felt for her, there were times that she herself had done things that had hurt other people, out of necessity, she understood Rebekah's self-blame, she truly did. All she wanted to do was make Rebekah feel better.

"I know it isn't my fault. But we all have choices to make in our lives." Rebekah said, Elena made eye contact with her, as Rebekah's eyes began to fill to the brim with tears, these spilling over, and running down her cheeks. Elena could tell that she was trying to hold it together, but failing to do so. " I remember all of them, every face, every name. I went through newspapers to find out who they were. We all make choices, and we have to live with the consequences." Rebekah's voice was very soft at this point, Elena could tell that this was clearly a dark topic for Rebekah.

Rebekah was full on sobbing at this point. Elena didn't know what to do, she didn't think she had ever seen someone so vulnerable, let alone a vampire. "Living with the guilt is one thing, but letting that guilt consume you does nothing for anyone- living or dead." Elena said wrapping her arms around Rebekah's midsection, holding her tightly.

Elena could feel tears dropping onto her shirt, but she could feel Rebekah breathe easier with every passing moment, letting a little bit more of her weight rest on Elena's shoulders. Elena could smell her skin, and her hair. She lifted Rebekah's head and planted a chaste kiss to her lips.

"I will never blame you for what you had to do to survive." Elena said looking her in the eyes. "My opinion of you will never be based on that, it will always be based on what kind of person you are." Elena watched as Rebekah wiped tears from her eyes, and took her hand; stroking the back of it lightly.

"Come here, lets sit for a minute, and you can tell me about the first time."

Elena led her to one of the lounge chairs on the terrace, sitting her down gently and finding a space beside her. Elena took Rebekah's hand in her own, waiting for Rebekah to speak.

"The first was when I was first turned. I woke up on the floor, covered in blood. I had no memory of what happened." Rebekah said shuddering slightly. "My father and my mother came up with a plan to make us immortal, after the werewolves in the next village had killed my youngest brother, Henrik." Elena watched as Rebekah twirled her daylight ring around her finger. "My family's witch, she refused to cast the spell, so my father convinced my mother to cast it. Spiking the wine at the harvest dinner, she dosed all of us with blood, my father promptly running us through. I woke up next to Klaus hours later, to my father dragging a poor girl from the village in behind him."

Elena gasped, the image playing in her mind. She couldn't imagine having her father kill her. Maybe it was harder to imagine because her father was dead. Nonetheless, she felt for Rebekah, there was a crippling feeling in her chest watching Rebekah describe her turning.

" he told us to drink, or die," Rebekah said, sighing loudly. "I watched him cut her arm, and he held it up to my mouth. I couldn't resist. I drank her blood." Rebekah said it slowly, Elena could see Rebekah's eyes getting dark, the veins around her eyes becoming jet black as she relived the scene playing in her mind. "It was euphoric, a little of that poor girls blood could've gone a long way- but it didn't." Rebekah's eyes were back to normal again.

"My parents didn't realize what we would become. The balance of nature was skewed by our immortality. To compensate for every advantage, we were also gifted with weaknesses. The sun burned our flesh, the herbs growing at the bottom of the tree that granted us immortality burned our flesh and made it impossible to compel others, we couldn't enter any fellow villagers homes…" Rebekah laughed a little bit. "It was blood that had given us the immortality my father so desired; and it was blood that was required to sustain us."

Elena watched as Rebekah's face got a steely resolve, as she continued her story.

"There was no way to know the hunger that would overcome us; the need to feed overrode any sense that we had. The village was rampaged by us, until there was no one left who trusted their ability to avoid us, what with our enhanced senses, and superior speed. It wasn't until my father found oust about my mother's betrayal that things stopped going to plan for him." Rebekah said, standing from her seat. "It turned out that Klaus was not my fathers child, and this revelation sent my father into a blind rage, and he killed my mother. We split after that, each of us going our own way." Rebekah finished and began pacing, eventually to a standstill in front of Elena.

"I'm sorry, that was a much longer story than what you asked for." Rebekah said, sitting back down next to her.

"It's okay, I wanted to hear it as you wanted to tell it." Elena said, turning her body to face the beautiful woman beside her. "I can't imagine what you're feeling or what you were going through." Elena let her hands go to Rebekah's face, forcing the other woman to look at her. Brown eyes met blue in that moment. "I never want you to face that kind of pain again, and if you do, you won't face it alone."

Elena searched Rebekah's eyes for something that she didn't know how to she found it, that is when Elena leaned her head forward to press their lips together. Nothing existed but them in that moment, the feeling of Rebekah's lips on her own transported her to a different dimension, a different planet, Elena wasn't entirely sure where, she just knew it was far away from earth.

Soon enough their kiss intensified, leaving Elena breathless, but she almost didn't want to breathe, she wanted to remain like this for as long as she could. Elena deepened their kiss, getting completely lost in the feeling of Rebekah's skin on her own. She couldn't tell when her brain started screaming but it had; she needed to breathe, so she broke the kiss finally.

"Do you feel up to continuing our exploration, or do you want to go back inside?" Elena asked, careful not to push Rebekah too far after their conversation. She knew how hard it could be to relive painful memories, hell that was half of her life.

"I would love to take you through the woods, sometimes if you're really quiet, you can spot a deer in the brush, but if I'm being quite honest, you sound like an elephant walking through fall leaves half the time, so we'll definitely have to work on that first." Rebekah said, laughing at the look on Elena's face.

Elena pouted a little bit, but then smiled. "Well I have an idea, since we aren't going to venture into the wilderness, why don't we just venture into the pool?"

"Well, I suppose that could be an option, but the real question is, did you bring a baiting suit?" Elena heard Rebekah ask. Elena cursed internally, knowing that she had not in face brought a baiting suit, having not known that there was a pool to require a baiting suit. Elena thought for a moment, before smiling again and turning to Rebekah.

" I hardly think a baiting suit matters." Elena chimed triumphantly. "When I can just take all of my clothes off and go in naked." Elena watched Rebekah's face change from neutral to a look of shock.

"The pool is not inside Elena, you could be seen." Elena noticed a blush forming on Rebekah's face.

"Your house is down a long lane, the pool is directly behind your house surrounded by forest." Elena said removing her top first, exposing her caramel skin to the sun. "No one would see me unless they've been following me." Elena's pants were next, she shimmied the. Down her legs and stepped out of them, leaving her in only a bra and underwear. "Plus, the only person I want to see me like this," Elena said while removing the rest of her clothes, baring it all, " is sitting right here in front of me, getting a front row seat to the show."

Elena's now naked form was on display, and she watched Rebekah take her in. Elena watched Rebekah's eyes struggle to stay on her own, despite the fact that this wasn't the first time that Rebekah had seen her fully naked. She turned and took a few steps towards the pool until she reached the steps and slowly descended into the water. She turned back to look over her shoulder at Rebekah.

"Are you going to join me, or will I be alone, enjoying this nice and warm water myself?" Elena turned back around, and immediately heard Rebekah stand up from her seat. It was only once Elena had entered the pool fully and she turned around to find out where Rebekah was that she truly experienced beauty for the first time.

Rebekah stood before her, fully nude, also descending into the pool, the water distorting the parts of her body that were already submerged. Her legs and part of her stomach appeared as nothing more than a blur beneath the water. Rebekah's top half was completely visible, and now it was Elena who struggled to keep her eyes on Rebekah's.

It was only a moment until Rebekah had completely descended upon Elena. She could feel Rebekah's body radiating heat against her own. It sent shivers up Elena's spine. She couldn't stand the feeling of being so close, and still not touching each other. Surprisingly enough, it was Elena that took the step forward, bringing their bodies together.

"I didn't realize how utterly beautiful you are, I mean I did- I mean you're not just beautiful you're a lot of other things too, but you're still beautiful…" Elena continued rambling for a minute. "Wow, I can't believe I just said that." Elena was about to continue again, but was stopped by Rebekah's lips on her own.

It was only a moment until they were intertwined, warm and wet bodies colliding with each other. Elena moaned into Rebekah's mouth as her hand gripped her ass under the water. Rebekah's lips found her neck in a moment, eliciting a low growl from Elena. She grabbed every part of Rebekah she could as she felt Rebekah's hands venturing lower and lower.

It took only a few minutes of Rebekah's hand between her legs to have Elena shaking and purring into Rebekah's ear. It wasn't until Elena looked up that she noticed the look on Rebekah's face, a look that she recognized well; hunger.

Rebekah's eyes were black as night, her veins black and angry. Elena's heart began to race, she knew it wouldn't help- Rebekah needed to feed. Elena brushed her hair out of the way, and looked at Rebekah fondly.

"Feed, it's what you need right now." Elena said, offering her neck to the other woman. Elena saw questioning and concern flash through Rebekah's features. Rebekah opened her mouth to speak, and Elena noticed her fangs were fully out. "Don't try to be coy about it, I can tell just looking at you, this is what you want, it's what you need. Me being so close to you, it's driving you crazy."

"I can't Elena, I don't think I will be able to stop. I want to devour you Elena, your blood is driving me crazy." Elena could hear the pain in Rebekah's voice. Elena could feel Rebekah's eyes on her, the way her gaze was glued to her neck.

"I know you will. You only need a top up from this morning." Elena said, pulling Rebekah's face towards her flesh, "you will know when you've taken too much." Elena coaxed Rebekah until she felt the press of teeth in her skin. When rebekah finally took a bite, there was a sensation underneath her skin. She wanted Rebekah to take more. She needed her to take more.

It was only a few moments until Rebekah's mouth left her neck, and Elena could feel the blood dripping down her neck, between her breasts and into the pool. She looked up at Rebekah, whose eyes had returned to their normal and exquisite colour, veins hidden again.

"Was that so bad?" Elena said, turning to Rebekah, whose mouth was still covered with blood. Elena wiped the blood from her lips and placed a kiss to them. Rebekah returned it, heat in her eyes as she backed Elena up against the edge of the pool.

"You really shouldn't have done that." Rebekah said, her eyes boring into Elena's. "I could have kill3d you, I could have truly killed you, it took all of the self control I possess to stop." Rebekah's voice was breathy and heavy while she spoke. The words intended to sink into Elena.

"But you didn't. And I knew you wouldn't." Elena said, wrapping her arms around Rebekah's neck, pulling her closer so that her ear was level with Elena's mouth. " I felt something, with your teeth buried in my skin like that, it was erotic to feel you feeding on me; I don't know it sounds crazy."

"What did you feel exactly?" Rebekah said, suddenly moving to look her in the eye. Elena saw genuine concern and confusion in them for a moment, and then curiosity.

"I felt high. I felt like I was floating, my skin was slight Rebekah." Elena said, thinking back to the sensation. "I could smell you, and feel you so intensely… it was like I was you-but still somehow me." Elena finished, looking at Rebekah.

Suddenly Elena was turned around, Rebekah's body pushed flush against her own. It was happening again, the feeling that Elena had just described. She could feel the hair on Rebekah's body standing on end, she could feel her muscles moving as Rebekah caressed her, and feel the breaths Rebekah was taking.

"Are you still feeling the sensation? Rebekah asked, Elena county feel her hand travelling lower and lower until it was between her thighs again. Elena's arms were on the ledge of the pool, pushing her body further back into Rebekah. Rebekah's hand was was working her quickly to orgasm, she could feel it building quickly and intensely, like a fire rampaging through her veins setting her skin alight with pleasure.

"I'm definitely feeling it, as well as something else." Elena moaned, throwing her head back in pleasure. Her moans were escaping her mouth like breaths. She could feel her nerve endings exploding like fireworks. She tried to hold it back as best she could, but with every passing second it was becoming more and more difficult. The longer that Rebekah applied her talents, the less and less resolve Elena had.

"Rebekah, if you don't stop- I don't know how I'm going to survive." Elena moaned again, precariously close to the edge that Rebekah was pushing her closer and closer towards.

"You really wasn't me to stop, when you're this close?" Rebekah said, letting her lips trail along Elena's ear. That brought Elena one step closer, so close she could feel her need for release becoming unbearable.

"Don't stop fucking me Rebekah, or I swear I am going to lose my mind." Elena moaned, her hips bucking into Rebekah's hand. She couldn't stop, she was so close she could see the dead drop of the edge that she was at. She was so close, close enough to feel the adrenaline moving through her veins, she could feel Rebekah's pulse quicken behind her, she could feel the tensing of the sinews, the strain all of this hard work was putting on Rebekah's arm.

"Oh my fucking god Rebekah, I'm going to cum!" Elena shouted, unable to moan anymore, as the air was stolen from her lungs with a guttural growl. A stream of obscenities flew from Elena's mouth as she was rocketed into outer space, tears forming in her eyes as she threw herself back on Rebekah's hand to prolong the contact. For a moment Elena could feel her veins expand while her orgasm crescendoed down into a low hum in her muscles.

When she opened her eyes, everything was in clear focus. She could hear and smell everything. She didn't fully understand what was happening. She could smell Rebekah's excitement from where she stood, the smell intoxicating her.

She turned to face Rebekah again, to plant a kiss on her lips; but Rebekah held her at arms length for a moment, searching her facial features.

"Elena, why do you look like a vampire in need to feed?" Rebekah's voice was pure concern. It was then that Elena looked down and saw what had Rebekah on edge. In the reflection of the pool Elena saw it. The black eyes, the throbbing veins around her eyes.

What the hell was going on?
