Chapter 32
Rebekah was sitting in the courtyard with Stefan for the first time since Lilly was born. Then baby was in the shade in her pram. Rebekah was startled as Bonnie came scurrying down the stairs.
"No Kol! You don't get a pass for something like that!" Bonnie yelled at him.
"BonBon..." Kol pleaded. Bonnie turned back to him and for a moment Kol could see how much she hated this.
"No, Kol, this was a long shot from the beginning and I almost let myself believe that this could be something but I don't want this for myself and I don't want this for my baby," she yelled at him and Rebekah could not stop watching. Stefan was in absolute shock. Bonnie pulled off the beautiful chocolate diamond and hurled it at him; Kol's face turned hard and menacing then. Bonnie hadn't been expecting that and she trembled.
"Fine then little witch," he growled, "if that's what you want be gone!" Bonnie reached for her suitcase like a lifeline and scurried from the courtyard. He knew though that the tears she shed were the real deal. He had terrified her, something he had vowed he would never do but he'd needed it to be completely convincing. As she settled in the car she was still crying.
Kol was seething and Rebekah walked over to him, rubbing his back.
"You never did deserve her Kol," she whispered. "Just-what did she do to you or what did you do to her?" She was as curious as a kitten.
"I'll go talk to her." Stefan offered, taking Lilly in his arms. Once he was out of ear shot, Rebekah just rubbed his hand again.
"What happened?" She tried getting the glee out of her voice but a little of it came out.
Before Kol could answer her Caroline came bustling downstairs into the courtyard.
"What do you mean you don't believe us?" Caroline said.
"I can't believe that we almost bought into it but this is Mystic Falls all over again," Kol growled.
"Now you're going to my brother?" Klaus growled as he jumped over the railing and landed in the courtyard.
"Klaus reconsider!" Caroline pleaded.
"It was a mistake Caroline!" he growled at her but with his back to Rebekah he whispered 'I love you'.
"I wish I'd never met you!" Caroline hauled off and slapped him.
The girls were all in the car finally and as they drove away there wasn't a dry eye in the bunch. They cried halfway to Florida. Fortunately the men had called ahead to Lucy and explained the whole situation. She was waiting for the girls with a pot for tea. However they hadn't been inside for two seconds when Lucy gasped.
"OMG you're pregnant! Bonnie you're pregnant and Elena too!" Lucy gasped. "Please explain because I know the two men worried sick about you can't procreate."
"Well it turns out originals are special vampires," Bonnie and Elena smiled. Lucy grinned and enveloped them all in a hug.
"Now stop crying the fighting wasn't for real. You've got your hormones all out of whack. Kol has already called here three times and Elijah half a dozen to see if you'd gotten here alright and to leave instructions for your care..."
Elena's tears came back at the thought of Elijah. Though they didn't have a show like Kol and Klaus (who wanted to up his brother in the theatrics department) but it still hurt to be away from him.
Lucy saw this and had her sit down instantly.
"Though they have informed me of what's going on," Lucy said. "I want to know why-from the three of you."
Bonnie took a deep breath and began to explain everything to Lucy.

Elijah was feeding Elena's birds and playing the music that they liked when Rebekah came in.
"So she left you and now you're taking care of her pets?" She scoffed. "Just get rid of them." She was already planning on giving them away because-really-the noisiest creatures on the face of the planet are the ones that the doppelbitch liked? At least Katerina hated animals with a passion.
Well, that and hating Elena are the two things they have in common.
"She's going to be moving somewhere nice and away from all of us," he got out with such sadness creeping in (which was easy as he thought about his decision to leave all those months ago) that Rebekah ate it up. "I told her that I would care for them until she found a place."
"Will she let you near your baby?" Elijah didn't look at her but he could hear her slight anger.
"She isn't." He gave her a glance and her façade faded to that of anger.
"Then kill her once the baby's out of her." Rebekah's answer was quickly out of her mouth. "Kill her, find someone a whole lot better than her and have that happy family with that person."
"Why do you care about my love life sister?" He asked and she was thrown off.
"You're my brother." She said but the real reason was that she hated the attention they gave those little brats from Mystic Falls and not her. She's their sister and they'd rather have them? She'll kill them and have the attention on her. At that moment, Klaus and Kol walked in.
"Perhaps she's right Elijah," Kol said menacingly, "how dare Bonnie take away my child and Elena yours. We couldn't have children for a thousand years and now by some miracle we do only for them to be taken from us."
"Neither one of you would ever get close enough though," Klaus said. "The girls will be on their guard and looking out for all three of us. They're not stupid."
Elijah rubbed his forehead. "I know that." He looked at them. "I was thinking of using Jeremy to get to Elena." Surprise flittered across Rebekah's face. "I killed him once-I'm pretty sure that I can do it again until Elena decides to allow my child to live here and has me compel her to forget about said child." Horror flicked across his brothers' eyes but it was gone before Rebekah could even know about it.
"Maybe the same idea could be used on Caroline and Bonnie-make them believe that the only child in the Mikaelson family is Lilly." Klaus had a cold glint in his eyes.
"Oh thank gods you've finally come to your senses!" Rebekah was full of mirth, "I was afraid you had really changed. Kol you completely had me fooled! I really thought you were in love with that little witchbitch! I mean I know Elijah can go soft but not you. You lost any trace of humanity centuries ago! Now, I will gladly help you dispose of these worthless pains in my side and we can be the real Mikaelson family again - pure blood always and forever," Rebekah declared triumphantly. "I will drink every bottle of champagne in Klaus' cellar when Caroline, Bonnie and the doppelbitch are ash!"
"Are you sure about that?" Klaus asked menacingly. "You do have a daughter after all." His eyes stared into his sister's, unable to see the little girl he had protected from storms and played with in there.
He saw how shallow and self minded she really is. This couldn't really be his sister-but fate liked to kick them all in the butt.
She waved off concern. "How were you planning on bringing them here, first off? Are we going to wait until the babies are born or are we going to kill them and the children they are carrying?"
"You would kill an innocent child, just because of who its mother is?" Elijah asked her.
"No-that would be Kol." She snapped at him. "I'm not nearly as cold and cruel as he is."

Stefan and Lilly were searching most of the Quarter when he spotted Jeremy and Davina at Cafe Du Monde. Going over there, he told the two what was going on.
Jeremy and Davina sighed and said, "all of us believe that she was the one who hurt Elena and you by default."
"She was asleep!" Stefan argued but Davina shook her head.
"Fake sleeping." The witchpire told him. "I've done it enough times and besides-Elena not only told Elijah but had him see her memory of it."

Rebekah was smiling as she was thinking of all the ways to kill them all when Elijah asked her, "how about snapping their necks and throwing them in the vervain room?"
