They trained most of the day, stopping only to grab a quick lunch that Chichi brought out to them. By the time they went back inside, Chichi already had dinner set on the table. The scent of the food filled the air and made their stomachs rumble as they sat down to eat. Little Goten was already happily devouring his food; Lindsey was already wondering if she would get used to watching people eat so fast. Was that normal for this part of the world? Chichi didn't eat like that, though. She decided not to ask.

She was starving after working so hard that day, and she thanked Chichi for the food before she began to eat. This was the part she'd dreaded about coming here. The bloody damn chopsticks. She fumbled with the chopsticks and shook her head as she tried to pinch the rice with them. She stopped to watch how Gohan did it, but he ate his food so fast, she couldn't really tell how to do it properly. Good gods, she couldn't believe how fast they ate their food. And they ate so much of it! She concentrated again and finally gave in to just scooping the rice more than picking it up. She blushed when she saw Gohan watching her. "Sorry, I never really got the hang of these things," she admitted with an embarrassed little laugh.

Gohan chuckled as he reached over and gently cupped her hand with his, showing her how to hold them properly. "See? Your thumb holds this one stationary while your index finger and middle finger move the second one to pick up. It helps to start learning with the really sticky rice so you learn to pick it up faster. No worries, a little bit of practice and you'll be an expert at it."

Goku chuckled, "Though, if you wanted to use it like a scoop, that's what I normally do. I'm so hungry, there's hardly any time for proper bites to be had!"

Lindsey's heart gave a little skip as Gohan guided her hand and she beamed when she finally managed a bite. "HA!" she grinned. "Thank you. No one's ever showed me the right way to do it before. I was about to move on to the chicken and just stab it with the stick," she snickered.

Chichi shook her head disapprovingly. She didn't like the way her son looked at this girl, their gazes locked a little too long on each other, the obviously blush that touched his nose. Maybe it was just because Lindsey was new and Gohan was a bit shy. Surely he wouldn't take an interest in this girl. There were much better options out there for her son, especially after he completed his schooling. But just to be safe, she was going to have to keep a close eye on them. "Oh, by the way," she said, "Trunks called while you were out, Gohan. Something about you are supposed to meet him and Seventeen tonight? When were you going to tell me about this?"

Gohan felt his face drain a little but he recovered quickly. "I was going to tell you. I just forgot about it. It was just a little get together before classes started. They know how busy it gets for me so they thought it would be good for me to get out and you know, spend time with the guys."

Goku smiled and nodded, slurping down the full bite he had in his mouth. "Sounds awesome! You'll have to tell Seventeen hi for me! I haven't seen him in forever. Guess I should get out more." He laughed, "And have fun tonight!"

Chichi set her chopsticks down and glared across the table at her husband. "Now hold on a minute!" she argued. "His classes start in less than a week. He should be studying and preparing for school, not out running around only god-knows-where." She turned her attention to Gohan, "Is your education important to you or not? You will have plenty of time for social activities after you finish college and have a good career. You already spent your whole day out with your father. Don't you think you should hit the books tonight instead of running around with your buddies?"

Goku just smiled at his wife. "You said it before yourself, Chichi. Gohan is more than ready for this semester of college. I think he knows what he is doing. Plenty of time to study after classes start. I mean, how is he supposed to know what to study until after the teachers tell him what to do? Let him have some fun before it's all work, work, work." He winked at Lindsey who had given him a curious look.

Gohan smiled at his father and looked at Chichi. "Dad's right, Mom. I won't be out too late tonight. I'll be studying most of this upcoming week anyway."

Chichi pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes as she seemed to debate for a moment. She gave a long sigh through her nose before she finally said, "Oh, alright. But tomorrow I want you to hit those books!" She really didn't approve of her son spending time with Seventeen, she still thought he was a bad influence, but Trunks was usually a polite young man and she knew Gohan would keep his word and study hard when he got back. "Just don't stay out too late."

Gohan beamed and nodded at his mother. "Thank you!" He smiled over at Lindsey. "You haven't met everyone yet, have you? Would you like to come along? I think Seventeen is bringing Leelee, those two are connected at the hip so I don't think he'd show up without her," he chuckled.

Lindsey's eyes lit up. "Sure! I'd love to!" She began to eat faster, thinking that she really needed a shower before she went out in public after spending the whole day running around outside. After a little bit, she finally pushed away her half-eaten bowl of rice and gave up. She popped a couple bites of chicken in her mouth before she thanked Chichi again for the meal and hurried up the stairs to get cleaned up.

Chichi shook her head again. Rude. Didn't even finish her dinner and left her plates on the table. "You watch yourself around her, young man," she warned Gohan in a stern voice. "You need to focus on what's important. I don't want you getting distracted."

Goku smiled at the half eaten plate and snatched it up, scarfing down the food as if he hadn't just eaten five bowls already. "Mm, Chichi, this is great! You should make it more often." He sighed happily as he finally pushed his plate away and smiled at Gohan, "You go on and get ready to go. I'll help your mother clean up the kitchen."

Lindsey was already out of the shower by the time Gohan finished his dinner. She wrapped a towel around herself and headed for her bedroom, only to walk smack into Gohan as he hurried down the hallway. "OH!" she gasped, nearly dropping the towel. She managed to keep herself mostly covered and held the towel tightly in her fist. "Whoops! My bad," she laughed, feeling her face burn slightly. She tucked a piece of wet hair behind her ear and glanced up at him. "I really didn't mean to do that. I didn't see you there."

Gohan hadn't really been paying attention until he found himself reaching out and steadying her on instinct, finding himself with her ample curves in his arms yet again. He felt his blush return threefold and he stammered, "Lindsey! I, ah… didn't mean to." He quickly made to move, letting his hands slip from her and he put his back to the wall to edge around her, trying to avert his eyes, but his attention was drawn to the little droplets of water that curved and caressed her skin, slipping down between her breasts.

She giggled at him, totally amused by his embarrassment and the blush on his face. She turned and headed towards her bedroom, but paused in the doorway. She looked back at him with a smile. "Hey, Gohan," she said, drawing his attention again. "You're awfully cute when you blush like that," she laughed and shot him a wink before she disappeared into her room to get dressed. "Meet you downstairs in a bit!" she called through the closed door.

Gohan drug a hand down his face, groaning loudly as he willed his body to calm down. What in the world had he gotten himself into?

Catie stretched her arms behind her head as she happily carried on a conversation with Jenny. "So, yeah, just stay out of Vegeta's way," Catie told Jenny as she leaned back in her chair in the crowded bar. "He's grumpy even on his best day." She grabbed her beer and took a swig before her eyes went wide and she waved widely at the dark-haired man who had just walked in. "Gohan! Over here!" she called.

Gohan waved back over at Catie, smiling as he saw his friends there. "Hey guys! Sorry we're late. Had to convince mother that this was a good idea. Don't think she believes me still, but hey, we made it." He scooted Lindsey's chair out for her and pushed her in before he sat down next to her.

Jenny smiled over at her friend. "How have you been?" she grinned, "Would not believe all the stories they have been telling me, it's insane. Catie here is already wagering that I'm going to be adopted into this family. Though, she doesn't have any older sons for me to fall head over heels in love with."

"I'm better now that I've had some sleep and a decent meal," Lindsey answered with a laugh. "You could always call Gramma and see if she's got any ideas for finding you a man if that's what you came here for." She snickered at the look Jenny shot her. "And you might be surprised at what I would believe after today. It's been, ah, quite the experience." She still could feel the weightless sensation of flying beside Gohan as he held her hand. Gods, she couldn't wait to do that again.

"Did we even introduce ourselves last night? I'm Catie," Catie introduced herself. She slapped the shoulder of the man sitting next to her, "And this is Trunks."

"Hi," Lindsey smiled. Good gods, was there some unwritten rule that every man here had to be built like they were? She vaguely remembered Sabriena flirting with him last night, and now she could see why. She leaned over to Jenny and put her hand up by her mouth, "I don't know what's in the water here, but we need to take it back to the men in the states."

Jenny snickered, "They're aliens, I don't think it would help the men back in the states. Plus, they would still all be assholes. At least these are good looking." She sighed happily and took a sip of her wine. "Feels like we've forgotten someone…"

Lindsey blinked her eyes at her friend. "Aliens?" she asked in confusion. "Who's an alien?" She looked around the table, trying to see if someone suddenly popped out at her. Her eyes stopped on the young man with long, straight black hair and hauntingly pale blue eyes.

"Don't look at me, honey," he chucked. "I'm just an android. It's those two that are the little green men you're looking for." He nodded at Trunks and at Gohan. "Course, you know, if you want someone who's actually green, you'd have to go to the Lookout and ogle Dende and Piccolo."

Lindsey gave a jump and nearly scooted away from Gohan. "An alien? The hell are they talking about?" She would've thought they were joking, but Jenny wasn't really the sort to joke about things like that and after seeing Gohan and his father flying, she was starting to wonder if something else was going on. "Gohan, they're screwing with me, right? You… you can't be an alien. You look human!"

Gohan chuckled, rubbing at the back of his head. "Oh, yeah, we look human, but we were born with tails. I'm actually half-human. Mom's human, Dad's a Saiyan. Mine, Goten's, and Dad's tails got cut off a while ago." He rubbed the back of his pants with his hand, "Still sore about that. Can't believe Piccolo didn't trust me to learn how to control my powers." He sighed and waved his hands. "Come on, you've got to have heard the global government a few years back? When Vegeta first got here. It was all over the news. Or did you Americans write it off as stupid and crazy?"

"I thought that shit was staged," Lindsey answered. "And I was little, I don't really remember much about it." She paused and frowned. "Maybe Dad just told me it was fake so I wouldn't freak out."

A tiny waitress with strangely orange hair and big eyes trotted up to their table. "Can I get you anything?" she asked, tipping her head slightly as she smiled at them.

"Vodka," Lindsey answered, her mind still reeling. "Big glass of something fruity with vodka. And keep 'em comin'. I have a feeling I'm going to need it."

Jenny looked over her menu a moment before she started order, "Yeah, I'd like a fresh glass of wine and a…" She trailed off as she looked up at the waitress, the orange hair, her piercing eyes and something about her just sent Jenny reeling. She thought it was as if she recognized the woman, but that was absurd. Realizing her mouth was still gaping open like a fish she blurted out the next thing that came to her mind, "Water. A glass of water would be great."

The waitress narrowed her eyes for only a split second before her expression returned pleasant again and she scribbled on the little pad of paper in her hand. "Anyone else?" she asked politely as she looked around the table.

"More o' these," the android said, raising up his bottle of beer with a cocky grin. "And put everything on his tab," he added, pointing at Trunks. He winked, "Thanks, by the way for your generosity, Trunks." He snickered to himself as Trunks rolled his eyes, but didn't argue the matter.

The waitress nodded as she took the rest of their orders and hurried away.

Lindsey was still trying to understand everything that had just been dumped in her lap. "Wait, so you said you're an android?" she asked, looking at the young man with the long black hair.

He nodded. "You can call me Seventeen." He chuckled at her wide-eyed look. "This is amusing. You should bring her around more often, Gohan."

Gohan chuckled. "Well, perhaps I will. Going to have to get creative to sneak out of the house when Mom isn't looking." He nodded at Seventeen, "He and his sister were in a bad accident. They were found by a doctor, barely alive. He did some, ah, questionable experiments to save their lives. It worked. More or less. I hear that some of the brains got scrambled up in his head."

The waitress returned just moments later with everyone's drinks and Lindsey took a big, healthy swallow before she sat back with a gasp and rubbed at her forehead. The waitress snickered and handed the glasses of water and wine to Jenny before she froze, staring at the mirror-like surface of the dark windows. Her eyes went wide and she took a couple steps back, bumping into another patron. She apologized quickly and scurried off to the bar again.

Seventeen shook his head at the waitress before he looked at Gohan. "Oh, ha-ha," he said sarcastically. He snorted and looked at the redhead beside his friend. "Actually our brains were almost completely replaced with computers."

"Yeah, he's got apps and everything," Catie snickered.

Seventeen aimed a kick at her shin under the table and wrapped his arm around the woman sitting next to him, who had been snickering at all of them the entire time. "This is Leelee," he said. "Sorry, didn't mean to forget to introduce you, babe," he apologized and kissed her full lips. She was tall and skinny with dark brown skin, her hair braided into dozens of tiny long strands.

Jenny blinked a moment before she smiled at the woman. "Where are you from? Around here?" She could see the attractive qualities of a person, not based on their skin, but a gut feeling she got about them. There was something about the young woman that Jenny could sense that just warmed her heart and she immediately decided she liked her.

Leelee shook her head. "I'm from New Orleans," she answered with her southern accent. "I moved here a couple years ago. Totally on a whim. He came to party in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, we met, and the next thing I knew, I was packing my bags to move here with him."

Jenny laughed, "Moved out here on a whim as soon as you met the love of your life? Kind of romantic." She chuckled and sipped her drink. "So what do you two do? I mean, you have to do something for an income?"

Leelee and Seventeen exchanged a glance and she giggled while he smirked and shook his head. "I manage a website," she answered. "He enters the martial arts tournaments sometimes to win some cash. He also works around Capsule Corp from time to time, messing with the computers and stuff for Bulma. We get by."

"We're all just a bunch of weirdos," Catie finally laughed and polished off her drink. "Come on, sexy. You're taking me dancing," she said and grabbed Trunks' hand to pull him out onto the dance floor. She laughed when he groaned, but got out of his chair. "Don't act like you don't love it."

"Well, I guess that explains the whole your dad disappearing thing that you were trying to tell me about. And the flying makes more sense now, too," Lindsey finally said to Gohan. She took another big swallow of the liquor and winced as it seared her throat. Her brain was already buzzing from it. She fixed him with an intense stare. "So tell me the truth, then. Can you fly because you're an alien, or is it something that anyone can really learn how to do? Cause if you lied to me, I'mma kick you in the shin."

Gohan laughed and raised his hands in defense. "No, no! I didn't lie to you. Anyone can learn how to fly. It's just a matter of being able to tap into that potential energy inside of yourself and training it just like you would with any other muscle. However, I think that being an alien helps that a little bit. Vegeta keeps saying we are the last of this great warrior race and we evolve, learn faster than most."

"Hmm," she hummed thoughtfully as she finished off her drink. She smacked her lips and looked at him again. "You could've told me this earlier. Of course, I guess that's probably not the easiest thing to announce to someone you just met." She drummed her fingers on the rim of her glass for a moment. "Well, I guess you can just make it up to me by taking me out on that dance floor."

Gohan spluttered into his drink and he blinked at her as if she was crazy. "Ah... I don't know what all everyone has been saying about me, but I don't dance. I'm about as great as my dad when it comes to dancing." He sighed and looked down at his shoes, "I'll just end up stepping on your toes and then you'll slap me and walk away, pretend we never even met."

Something melted in her heart at his words. What was it about seeing him insecure or shy that just made her want to throw herself at him? Probably because all the guys back home were cocky assholes who would never dream of showing vulnerability. "I won't slap you," she promised. She took his hand in hers and twisted their fingers together. "Come on. It's easy. I'll teach you. You gave me my first martial arts lesson today. Tonight, I'm giving you your first dance lesson." She stood up and tugged on his hand, trying to get him to stand up.

Gohan cheered up, feeling better as his hand slid into hers and he let her pull him out onto the dance floor. He wasn't sure what was considered dancing any more. A slow waltz, refined, dignified? Or this pulse pounding grind your hips to this music. "Are you absolutely certain that this is music you want to dance to?"

She threw her head back and laughed. "I can dance to just about anything!" she answered over the loud music. She swayed her hips in time with the music and stepped closer to him, trying not to smile too much at the uncertain expression on his face. "Just move with the music. You don't have to overthink it."

Gohan chuckled, a gleam in his eye at the friendly challenge and he let himself relax. He pulled her closer, just like he had wanted to do with her when he had run into her fresh out of the shower. He leaned down and breathed hotly into her ear, "You let me know if it's too much, and I'll back off." He found the beat of the music, starting out just slow dancing, getting the feel for it until it reached the upbeat part of the song. He carefully thrust his hips against hers, feeling the blush appear on his skin as he did such a lewd act. It sent a thrill down his spine and he did it again.

Lindsey had to bite her lip as they danced so close together; his words sent a chill through her body. "See? You're good at this," she grinned. "And don't worry. I can handle it." She spun in his arms so that her back was to his chest and she pressed back against him, still swaying her hips to the music. She grabbed his hands and wrapped his arms around her for a moment before she guided his hands to rest on her hips. She could feel the goosebumps on her skin despite the warm air of the bar. Feeling even bolder than usual with the vodka coursing through her system, she grinded her ass against his hips in time with the beat and smirked at the feel of him pressing back against her.

Gohan relished in the fun that this was. He could let go, forget about all his responsibilities for one sweet moment. He had to bite back a moan as she rubbed herself up against him, his length straining against his jeans. He flexed his fingers on her hips only for a moment before he timed it just right with the music and began to pull her back against his hard length in time with the music. It was like their pulse was the music and it was shared. It was… oddly intimate.

She swallowed harshly as she felt him press against her and she leaned her back against his chest, rolling her hips. What in the world was happening? She suddenly wanted him like she'd never wanted anyone before. She wanted to get to know him, to spend as much time as possible with him. It was more than just a physical attraction. There was something here, she was certain of it. She reached one arm back over her shoulder and closed her hand around the back of his neck as they continued to move to the music. She pulled his head down slightly and turned her face to whisper to him, her lips brushing his ear, "You lied to me. You're a really good dancer."

Gohan smiled warmly, his heart jumping, full of butterflies. "Guess I just have a really good teacher," he whispered into her ear hotly, "When's the next lesson?"

Jenny just chuckled at the others out on the dance floor. She shook her head and sketched a little doodle out onto a napkin. She tilted her head to the side, intending to look outside the window, but stopped when she saw her reflection, or what she assumed to be her reflection in the shiny napkin box. She looked at it curiously, blue hair, blue eyes. That wasn't her!

She looked behind her to see if there had been someone else standing there with the crazy blue hair, but there was no one. She looked back to the dispenser to get a closer look, but the image was long gone, and only her normal reflection remained. "Odd."

The waitress watched her from the corner as the reflection appeared again. It only confirmed what she suspected earlier and she hurried out the back door of the bar, eager to return home with the information she'd discovered that evening.

Chichi paced the living room floor in her bathrobe, chewing her nails, glancing at the clock every time she turned. Where on earth were they? It was far too late for them to still be out. She'd told Gohan to come home on time. He hadn't called to check in or anything. She felt sick to her stomach with worry. Maybe something had happened.

She nearly sobbed in relief as headlights flooded her living room for just a moment before the car outside stopped and she heard the doors slam. Her fear was immediately replaced by anger and she crossed her arms as Gohan and Lindsey entered the house. "Where have you been?!" she cried. "Do you have any idea what time it is?!"

Gohan blushed in embarrassment at being caught. "It's only two hours late. I still have plenty of time to get some rest and hit the books tomorrow. We were just having a good time hanging out, catching up. Lindsey talked with her friend for a little while too."

"A good time, huh?" Chichi asked dangerously. She could only imagine what constituted a good time as far as that girl was concerned. "That's no excuse, Gohan. I have been worried sick about you! You couldn't have called? Two hours past curfew is a big deal, mister!"

"Curfew?" Lindsey asked, blinking. She looked wide-eyed at Gohan. "You have a curfew?" The idea was absurd to her. She'd never had a curfew. In fact, she'd leave home and stay at the warehouse with her friends for days on end without ever checking in with her brother, and Shayne never said a word about it. Then again, that was probably part of growing up with an older brother as a guardian instead of a parent. But the guilty look on Gohan's face told her his mother was serious. "I didn't realize we had to be back by a certain time. What's the big deal? We're fine."

"How was I supposed to know that?!" Chichi snapped. "I'm your mother, Gohan! I think I deserve a little more respect than this! You should have at least called and let me know that you were okay!" She pressed her lips thin and shook her head. "Even for as smart as you are, sometimes you are as absent-minded as your father."

Gohan chuckled. "We wouldn't be as much fun if we were predictable," he said as he walked over and kissed his mother's cheek. "Go get some sleep, Mom. I'm sorry we worried you. We will see you tomorrow morning." He turned and headed towards their bedrooms, tugging Lindsey's hand behind him. He had completely lost track of time. It had just been an amazing night, learning more about these strange girls that had come into their lives. Dancing. He shivered, unable to get that dance out of his mind.

Lindsey paused outside of her bedroom and turned to face him. "I'm sorry if I got you in trouble with your mom," she said. "But I had a blast with you tonight." She wasn't tired at all, she was wide awake and wished that their evening didn't have to end. But he had to study tomorrow and she didn't want to wear out her welcome with him. She chewed her lip for a moment before she said, "Thanks for inviting me out. I'd really like to do it again sometime."

Gohan smiled at her as he paused outside of her door. "Thanks for coming with me. Sorry it was so last minute, but I'm glad you had fun. We," he paused and blushed, "We should do that again sometime. I mean, you know, not so much the dancing. Unless you wanted to dance again." He rubbed his hand over his face, "Oh gods. Sorry."

"We don't have to go dancing," she said. "But you really are a much better dancer than you give yourself credit for. We could, you know, just hang out or catch a movie sometime or something." She tipped her head and smiled at him. "Why the sorry?" she asked curiously. "You don't have to be shy around me. I don't bite. Unless, you know, you're into that," she added with a playful wink and laughed again.

Gohan shook his head, the blush only growing as he tried to will away his hardness. "I just… well, you know. Never had a woman pay me that kind of attention before. Never really thought about it, never really had time for it." He mimicked his mother's voice, "After college and after you get a job and ONLY when you are married."

Lindsey's eyes went wide. "Wait, only when you're married?" she asked in surprise. "So… are you saying that you've never…" She left the question hanging in the air, unsure of what to think. He was a virgin? He was gorgeous, with his dark eyes and defined features. And that body looked like it had been carved from marble, like it should've belonged to some Greek god. She just had a hard time believing that no woman had ever tried to get in his pants. Maybe she should back off a little bit and not be so aggressive. But then again, she didn't want him to think that he had scared her off or that she wasn't interested, either. Damn. She'd have to think about it and figure out a good balance. "Gohan," she said softly, "I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable. I just assumed that, you know, you've probably had lots of girls throw themselves at you. I figured you'd probably taken at least a couple of them up on it."

Gohan laughed, "Are you kidding? The girls around here think I'm a nerd. I'd only be so lucky to get a woman after I graduate from college. I mean, yeah sure, I'm curious. What it would be like the first time with someone you care about." He looked at her. "Just slowly enjoying each other?" He knew better than what his mom said. Everyone did it and there had been no fire and brimstone rained down upon the earth.

She gave a shiver at his words. Gods, she wanted nothing more than to drag him into her bedroom and have her way with him. She could show him what it was like. But she didn't want to be a one night stand. And he deserved better than that for his first time. She was going to have to keep herself in check and see if there really was more to this. "I don't believe that for one second," she answered in a hushed voice. "Any girl would be lucky to have you."

Gohan smiled at her warmly. "You would be the first woman to tell me that. Thanks," he said, rubbing at the blush, still embarrassed, "Gods, you are going to have to go into your room. I don't think I'm going to get anywhere until I stop imagining you in that towel from earlier." He slapped his hand over his mouth as he said the words, as if he had realized too late the poor choice of words. He closed his eyes and shook his head and started inching towards his door. As soon as he was behind it, he could calm down and take a cold, cold shower.

She giggled as his eyes went wide and his hand covered his mouth. She felt her heart flutter again to know that the vision of her in a towel was stuck in his head. She ran her tongue across her top lip seductively and ran her eyes slowly over his body. "Well you have fun with that little mental picture," she purred. "Maybe one of these days I'll get lucky and get to see you the same way." Her hand found the doorknob to her room, but she didn't open it just yet. She knew she should go to bed and quit tormenting this poor man, but every fiber of her being wanted to fling herself at him. "I guess I should go to bed," she sighed.

Gohan smiled at her, a bit huffy that he couldn't get her to blush. Maybe later he thought. He turned and hovered in his doorway for a moment. "Goodnight, Lindsey," he said in what he hoped was something seductive. Keep her thinking about him, wasn't that what guys wanted? Women to remember them? Well, he wanted her to remember him.

She nearly whimpered as she opened the door behind her. She wanted so bad to cross the hallway to him, throw herself into his arms and see just how much she could get away with. At least a goodnight kiss! She finally sighed again and managed a smile for him. "Goodnight, Gohan," she said sweetly and disappeared into her room.
