Madison was super excited to be coming back home today. Don't get her wrong, she loved going to her grandparents house but she missed her mama and daddy so badly. She hugged Sam tightly when he came to pick her up and now they were pulling into the driveway of their home. As soon as he parked the truck, she unbuckled her seatbelt quickly and opened the door. She squealed when she saw Maverick standing at the entrance of the house. She ran carefully up the steps and tackled him into a big hug, "Mavy."
Maverick chuckled as he picked the little girl, kissing her all over her face as he pulled them into the house, "I've missed you so much."
"Me too." She breathed out as her arms went around his neck, laying her head down on his shoulder.
Sam smiled at their interaction, grabbing her bag from the backseat, he locked the doors and headed up the walkway and up the steps. Closing and locking the door behind him, he sat his keys in the bowl and walked to the living room, "Where's Mercedes?"
"She's in the attic watching a movie." Maverick said as he walked up the two flight of stairs with Madison still in his arms. When they made it to the top, he sat her down to her feet and gestured for her to go first.
Madison excitedly opened the door, seeing her mother in one of the oversized recliners, she carefully walked down the two steps with a smile, "Mommy."
Mercedes looked over with a bright smile, opening her arms out for a hug, "Hi baby girl."
Madison climbed on the recliner beside her and carefully wrapped her arms around her, "I love you so much."
"I love you more." Mercedes kissed her forehead, snuggling closely with her, "Are you hungry?"
Madison nodded but made not intentions of moving from her spot, her small hands caressing Mercedes' stomach.
"I'll get her something." Maverick said as he made his way out the door.
"Thank you Mavy." She smiled at him.
Sam looked at the screen and let out a small chuckle. She was up here watching one of his all time favorite movies, The Sandlot. Coming down the steps, he walked over and gave her a quick peck before he sat in a chair beside her, "So I talk to my friend Tessa and she said that she can take us tomorrow if that's okay with you."
Mercedes smiled and nodded, "That's fine with me."
Sam smiled as he leaned over and kissed her lips softly, "I'm going to go get something to eat."
"Okay." Mercedes said softly as she kissed Madison's forehead, "How was your stay at your grandparents?"
"Fun." She smiled as she sat up a little, giggling a little, "They gave me pictures of daddy when he was little.."
"Ooo, can I see them?" Mercedes asked giddily.
"Yes." She laughed as she cautiously got off her lap and ran to the door, yelling from the top of the stairs, "DADDY, WHERE DID YOU PUT MY BAG?"
"IT'S IN YOUR ROOM."
Mercedes laughed as she watched the little girl run to her room. Taking a chance to sit up, she smiled when her son came back with two plates, "Thank you sweetie."
"You're welcome." Maverick handed her a plate and sat Madison's down in the chair, "I'm going to go take a nap."
"Okay baby." Mercedes watched as him leave, smiling when Madi came back with a book.
She smiled as she handed the blue picture book to Mercedes, picking up her plate of pizza Maverick left for him and began eating.
Sam checked the house phone for any voicemails before he headed up the stairs. Popping one of the sausages that fell off the pizza in his mouth as he hit the top of the third flight of stairs, walking towards the room, he stopped dead in his tracks, eyes turning into saucers and mouth dropping when he saw what Mercedes had in her hands. No..No..NO. How did she even get that?
Mercedes looked up at Sam, snickering when she saw his face. She looked back down at the picture, "Babe, I didn't know you had a Spider-man obsession."
"Mercedes please.." He begged as he sat his plate on the couch, going over to try to take the book away but she was quicker.
Mercedes held it out of reach with a big smile on her face, "And this one with you in your underwear and cape is too cute." She saw his face turning red and she couldn't help but chuckle.
Sam wished the floor would open up and swallow him whole. Yeah, he was a cute baby but the pictures that his mother took were embarrassing. He looked at her with pleading eyes, "Babe..please."
"Oh no.." She giggled softly as she flipped the page, holding her stomach as she laughed, "You were adorable."
Madison laughed as she looked at the interaction between them, she smiled at Sam, "Daddy you were really cute."
"Thank you baby." He answered lowly as he walked back up the steps to grab his plate, mumbling how he was going to get his mother back for this.
Sam smiled as he parked his truck in the parking lot. He looked over at his fiancée with a smirk, "Just so you know, I forgive you for looking at the pictures."
Mercedes rolled her eyes with a chuckle, opening her door, "I have nothing to apologize to you for."
Sam shook his with a pout as he got out truck, getting out of the truck, he opened the backdoor for his daughter to get out.
"Hey everyone." A girly voice said out in the distance as she started to approach the family with a smile.
"Tessa.." Madison said with a smile as she ran to the perky brunette, wrapping her small arms around her, "I miss you. I can't wait for you to meet my mama."
Tessa laughed as the little girl practically pulled her to the family. She smiled as she hugged Sam and turned back to other two, her eyes sparkled as she took in the beautiful pregnant mocha woman, "Woah you're gorgeous."
Mercedes blushed as she held out her hand, "Thank you, I'm Mercedes and this is my son Maverick."
Tessa smiled at Maverick before she turned back to Mercedes, shaking her hand as she continued to scan her face, "How did Sam manage to get a sexy woman like you?"
Sam rolled his eyes as he stepped up and removed Tessa's hand from his fiancée, sending a small glare towards her as he pulled Mercedes closer to him, "Sorry babe, Tessa is being a pest."
Mercedes laughed at Sam and his obvious jealously, "No she's not Sam."
"He's still salty that I kissed his girlfriend in middle school." Tessa shrugged nonchalantly. Tessa has known Sam since they were little. They went to middle school and high school together. When she found out that the blonde moved here, they reconnected and restarted their friendship instantly.
Maverick snickered as he looked at Sam. He was so jealous and that strangely made him happy because he knew that he was really down for his mama.
"Whatever Tessa, can you just get your camera ready please?"
She laughed as she held up her camera, "It's ready. We're going to do two family shots first which is going to be on the sandhill facing away from the sun. So follow me."
They followed behind Tessa happily, letting her placed them were she wanted. She had set them up for the first one which had Mercedes and Sam sitting down together and Madison and Maverick standing behind them. The picture came out beautiful, especially with their outfits making it pop more. Sam had on a white polo shirt and navy blue shorts while Maverick had on a navy blue shirt and white shorts. Madison had on a short white and blue striped dress with her hair in a high ponytail and Mercedes had on a short white dress paired with a blue necklace and her hair was did into a curly bun.
"Beautiful." Tessa said as she finished the first pose. She moved forward and told Sam to switch spots with Madi. She lead the little girl to sit on Mercedes lap carefully and stood back, snapping a few to see if it worked. Once it did, she told them to smile and snapped two, "Awesome you guys. Maverick and Madison, you're up."
Madison looked up at Maverick excitedly, grabbing his hand after she slid out of her sandals.
Mercedes chuckled at the excited little girl, snuggling into Sam's side as she watched Maverick lift Madison up and placed her around his neck for the first pose, "That's going to turn out pretty."
Sam smiled down at Mercedes as he rubbed his hand against her growing belly, "It is."
"Don't drop me Maverick." Madison giggled out as she looked at Tessa for the picture.
"I'm not.." Maverick laughed as he smiled for the camera. When she was done, he gently let Madison down and got down on one knee.
Madison sat on his knee, throwing one arm around his neck before she looked back at the camera and smiled.
Tessa smiled as she looked over at Mercedes, gesturing for her to come over and take a quick picture with the kids. After she did, Sam took one. She led them to the water where she had Mercedes and Madison hold hands and she snapped one as they walked.
Madison wrapped her arms around Mercedes waist and laid her head down on her stomach as the cool water of the ocean ran over their feet, a happy smile taking over her features when she felt little feet kicking her face.
Mercedes smiled as she held onto to her, "You felt that?"
"Mhm.." The little girl hummed out happily as she leaned up and pressed small kisses on Mercedes' clothed stomach.
All while they were talking, Tessa snapped a few pictures of them while Sam and Maverick stared at them in amazement. When Tessa was finish, she had Sam and Maverick take one then Sam and Madison and lastly, Mercedes and Maverick.
Mercedes smiled over at Maverick when he said that he was going to take Madison to get something to eat. Turning back to Sam with a smile, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips softly.
Sam smiled as he felt her stomach pressing against him. He let a laugh escape his lips, earning a glare from his fiancée, "Sorry.."
After taking a few pictures together, Tessa said that she was finish and she was going to go put her things in the car. Mercedes grabbed Sam's hand as they walked on the squishy sand, the cold blue water running across their feet, "Today was wonderful. This was a great idea babe."
Sam smiled down at her as he swung their hands, "Well thank you." He leaned over and kissed her cheek, "I have a few of those from time to time."
Mercedes chuckled as she leaned her side into his, looking out into the distance. She was happy. Really happy. She rubbed her hand against her stomach with her free hand. She just had a few months left until their new additions arrived and she couldn't wait.
A/N. Family time, that's all I have to say about this update! There will be a time jump next chapter. Don't think I forgot about the Levi situation..that gets very interesting too because Brent is making an appearance, haha. ;) NOW, Glee series finale is tomorrow. I haven't watched a full episode this season but I've been keeping up by gifs & clips..what a waste of a season. I'm going to watch it tomorrow though. There's a HUGE possibility Samcedes is endgame. Have ya'll heard Someday We'll Be Together yet? Amber's voice is just AMAZING! That song screams SAMCEDES, lol. Have a good weekend you guys. :)
