It was an early spring morning, the crisp spring air came in through the bedroom window. In the room lay a young boy with short scarlet hair sleeping on one of the beds in the room, he didn't move an inch. The door opened quietly as a another young man with the same scarlet hair and face came walking into the room, his hair was longer than the other one who was sleeping. He sat down on the edge of the bed and stared down at the other.
"Luke. Luke it's time to get up! Luke. Geez, why do I have to be your twin? WAKE UP!" He shook the sleeping boy and with each time he shook harder and called out to him louder. He wished that Luke would wake up soon but his twin stayed unmoving as he slept away soothingly, despite the other twin's efforts.
Usually it was there mother who woke him up, but her and their father had to go away on business. She thought about leaving them with a babysitter but the twins rejected the idea telling her that they were too old for such a thing. But they knew the cause of her obsession with their safety. Ever since that incident ten years ago that caused Luke to lose his memories of the ten years he had lived.
However, they were slowly returning. In his dreams there were tiny little clips of his memories that would play, but, for a while those memories have been more vivid. He could see everything so clearly even hear the sounds in those memories, it was as if he was living it. But there was one memory in particular that he could see completely, it was his and Asch's eighth birthday party.
It was a bright summer morning, two young boys with long scarlet hair played a simple game of tic-tac-toe in the dirt with sticks in their backyard. One wore white and the other black, as they played outside there was a big commotion inside the house. The one in white grabbed the other's sleeve, "Hey Asch?" The one wearing white broke the other's concentration from the game.
"What is it Luke?" Asch, the one in black, grinned as he looked at his younger twin brother. Luke looked towards the ground with a disheartened expression.
"I think I left Mrs. Tuft inside the house, could you go get her for me?"
"Do you really need it?" Asch looked a bit annoyed as he took a leaf off Luke's head.
"She's not an 'it' asch! Mrs. Tuft is an Elephant." Luke pouted at the other, turning his head to the side. Asch sighed deeply, he got up and patted Luke on the head before leaving to retrieve the stuffed elephant.
Luke waited until his brother was no longer visible. He ran as far as he could, into the forest that was a couple of blocks away from his house. Once there, he started his search.
This beautiful summer day was their 8th birthday . Luke searched the evergoing forest for a specific flower. He need it in order to finish his gift for his brother, it was a bouquet with three different types of flowers. "Let's see, I already have the Orange Blossom for Eternal love, The White Carnation for sweet and lovely or Innocence… Ah! I still need a Blue Viola for watchfulness and faithfulness!" Luke clutched his hands tightly in excitement, until he heard something above him.
"Mieuuuuuuuu!" Something fell from the tree above him and crashed into his head, causing Luke to fall backwards onto the ground. Luke sat up slowly rubbing his head, he looked at his hand and there was blood however he knew it wasn't his because he felt no wound on his head. looking to his right he saw a small blue creature, it's leg was bleeding badly. Luke took notice of the wound and walked towards it slowly, trying to startle it. "Mieu?" The blue creature turned around to look at Luke terrified.
"Hi, uh, um, my name's Luke." He sat in front of the blue creature taking out a small first aid kit , and pulled out a roll of gauze and two alcohol pads. The creature knew what it was automatically, remembering a small young lady doing the same about two weeks ago. The blue creature stretched out it's leg towards Luke and allowed him to treat it's wound. "It's going to hurt, but I'll try to make it feel as painless as possible!" He applied the alcohol pads first, causing the blue creature to scream in pain a little, he wrapped it with the gauze and picked him up.
"Luke?"
"Hm… You can talk?!" The scarlet haired boy stared in wonder at the creature but made sure to not hurt it's wounded leg.
"Y-yes, um but may I ask why a small human child like you are in the woods alone?"The blue creature stared up at him in confusion, never before has this happened in the forest. The creature was baffled by the fact that there weren't any other humans around searching for him at least.
"Oh, well you see… I have a twin and today's our birthday!" Luke gave the blue creature a smile full of glee before he started to walk down the forest path. "I'm looking for a Blue Viola to give him for this bouquet I'm making, but I don't even know where it is." Luke looked to the ground a bit dishearten, "he always gave me things for my birthday and I was never able to give him anything because I never knew what he wanted." Just then a sound could be heard from behind them, Luke didn't hear it but the blue creature did. "Oh, there it is!" Luke quickened his pace as he found the flower he was looking for. He grabbed a handful of the Blue Violas, "Hey, what's your name by the way?"
"I don't have a name, I moved into this forest a week ago." The blue creature smiled however Luke was concerned for the wellbeing of the poor thing. The blue creature had no family and not even a name to be called by. Luke thought to himself how it must feel to have no name and no place to call home, a sharp pain hitting his chest.
"Hey, how about becoming a part of my family? It'll be fun, and we have enough room for someone as small as you! You can a kind mother, a strict yet loving father, and well… I'm not sure how old you are but you'll have three stronger older brothers to look after you." Luke started walking back towards the entrance of the forest, hugging the little blue creature a bit tighter as he spoke. Luke stopped close to the entrance and turned the blue creature to face him. "Well? how about it… Mieu?" The blue creature's eyes started tearing up at Luke's words that he couldn't hold in his tears anymore, the creature cried aloud as he hugged the scarlet haired boy, his hero. For the first time, in a very long time, someone wanted him.
"Luke!" Up ahead there was a boy who looked exactly like Luke. Mieu stopped crying as they approached him, the other boy was breathing heavily.
"Asch, why are you-"
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Asch screamed from the top of lungs, making Luke tremble a bit from the sudden outburst. Luke felt pain swell up in his chest, he couldn't help but feel guilty for making his brother run around looking for him. Luke gave the flowers to Mieu and held out his hand to Asch.
" I'm sorry, I-I just wanted-"
"He wanted this to make a present." The blue creature startled Asch at first, Asch was confused on how a small animal like this one was able to speak. Sighing and knowing that he would have a lot of explaining to do when they got home to their parents, he took Luke's hand and made their way to the house.
After the party was over, Luke presented the bouquet of flowers to his brother. Asch's face was completely the same as his hair, he knew the meaning behind those flowers and he couldn't believe Luke didn't fully understand their meaning and double meaning. Their parent's agreed to let them keep the little blue creature as long as they remembered to care for him, but there was a surprise in store for Luke.
Asch took Luke back to the forest, but he made him close his eyes as they walked. They walked for some time until Asch stopped and Luke knew they arrived at their destination. When given the word Luke opened his eyes to see a field filled with Stocks, flowers that represents bonds of affection, they were a shade of light pink and they seem to glow in the moon's light. Luke stood there amazed for a minute as Asch smiled at his younger twin's reaction, he pulled Luke towards the center of the flowers.
"Asch..." Luke softly called to his brother, their eyes were locked as they held hands. Placing his forehead against Luke's, Asch moved his hands onto Luke's cheek and kissed him softly. They exchanged a few more kisses before Asch pulled away, taking a small box out of his pocket as he kneeled before Luke on one knee. He held Luke's hand as Luke's eyes widened in surprise, his face becoming a dark of scarlet than his hair however he knew where this was going.
"Luke, I want to spend everyday by your side. Even if others may call us weird, I love you. Nothing will ever change that, I want to marry you when we grow up!" Asch kissed his brother's hn before placing the ring on it. He stood up as he cheeks turned into flames, staring into Luke's.
"Asch... You don't really have to ask, I'll always stay by your side..." Luke looked to the side, his cheeks becoming even redder, Asch smiled as he took out a matching ring and put it on his finger, entwining his fingers with Luke's.
Luke's eyes slowly opened, he blinked a couple of times and saw a pair of bright green eyes staring directly into his however Luke's flew wide open. He felt the faint warmth of something on his lips only after the pressure was gone and he looked up at Asch with disbelief. Asch held over his mouth, he turned his head to the side as he sat up, Luke doing the same. Asch hoped Luke would remain sleeping a bit longer, but for Luke who remembered nothing to find him doing such a thing, unable to hold back anymore. He was deeply embarrassed.
"Well, uh, you need to get ready for school." Asch was about to leave but Luke grabbed his sleeve, he couldn't believe what just happened. Luke's heart wouldn't calm down, ever since the day he woke up he held a special place for Asch in his heart. He knew he liked Asch and thought never to say anything about it, but the memory he just dreamed about and what just happened was causing his heart to overload. "Luke?" Asch turned around to find looks face a beautiful crimson, however Luke's eyes were filled with longing for the person in front of him.
"Asch, I-" Luke started to speak but was soon cut off by his older brother, Asch kissed him feverishly and Luke returned the kiss full of passion. He pushed Luke back down onto the bed, slipping his tongue into Luke's mouth as his hand went up Luke's pajama shirt. His hand moving slowly, rubbing his stomach a bit before moving up to rub over his nipple. "Ah… A-Asch..!" Luke moaned as Asch slipped his other hand up his shirt and started rubbing over both of his nipples as Luke placed his hand in Asch's hair, tugging it a bit. Asch licked from his jaw down to his neck and nipped at it, pinching Luke's nipples softly. He rubbed his knee against Luke's hardened groin softly, causing the younger twin to moan louder a bit. Asch started to unbutton Luke's pajama shirt, kissing down his neck and onto his chest however a sudden knock on the bedroom door made them both freeze.
"Asch, Luke! I'm heading out now, don't be late for school. Oh! And don't forget to use a condom!" Someone said through the door but you could hear him trying to hold back the laughter. Asch and Luke's faces were set ablaze as Asch quickly got off of Luke and headed out the door.
"Hisoka!" Asch yelled as he closed the door behind him, leaving Luke in a sweet daze. Luke sat up slowly as he took in all that just happened, realizing that maybe Asch still felt the way he did back then. His body knew the feeling of those hands touching his skin in such a way, it was fairly familiar however an idea popped into his head that maybe back then they had also did this sort of thing. That they were always more than brothers. But, he didn't understand why he didn't have the ring from back then, the thought ticking in his mind as he got up and slowly went into the bathroom to take a shower as he tried to focus on solely getting ready for school.
