AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello my lovelies! I want to start off apologizing for not updating last week. My kids went back to school last week so between that, Cross Country going on, and the summer cold I got, not to mention the 40 hours a week I work, things have been a little crazy. I hope you can forgive me.
So happy to see that you guys enjoyed their last day at Disney. I want to say hello to my new readers and thank you to all of the other ones for continuing to read this.
Of course also loads of thanks to klarolineepiclove, approvesomuch, jomosfamilyjewels and a-little-blonde-distraction for their betaing skills.
This next part will of course be showing Rebekah's reaction, as well as a few other peoples. Hope you enjoy.
Part 44
"What the bloody hell!" Rebekah screeched when she saw the unexpected sight in front of her.
Caroline and Klaus snapped apart at the sound of Rebekah's bellow and Caroline felt her face turning bright red as she mumbled. "This needs to stop happening."
He couldn't help but chuckle a little at her comment before he turned towards his sister. Rebekah was still glancing between them as if she didn't believe what she had seen. Instead of explaining what she had witnessed, as if he had to defend his actions, Klaus only asked. "Well dear sister what were you coming to tell me?"
"That Kol and Finn are back, they are parking at the moment. They sent out a text to everyone, which you would have known if you hadn't been sneaking out to catch a quick snog with Caroline!" Rebekah declared angrily. "I thought you were coming out to get some air? Not mouth to mouth."
"I did come out to get some air." Klaus stated. "Caroline just stopped by to check on Katherine and bring me some things from home."
Caroline nodded. "He had no idea I was coming, I just kind of surprised him."
"Looks like the surprise is on all of us. When I paired you up as dancing partners at the wedding I didn't mean for you to take it so literally!" His sister snapped as she looked between the two of them again. "I should have listened to my instincts, I should have said something when you interviewed her; instead I pushed aside my worries, but I knew! I knew this was going to happen!"
"What are you bellowing about Bekah?" Kol asked as he and Finn appeared behind him them. "I swear I could hear you from the car park."
"I'll tell you what this is about." Rebekah replied, as she whirled around to face her other brothers. "Nik is shagging his nanny!"
"Why don't you yell that a little louder Sister?" Klaus growled at her, "I think there are a few ships in the harbor that didn't hear you."
Rebekah smiled maliciously at him. "What's the matter Nik? Want to hide your dirty little secret?"
Caroline gasped at Rebekah's accusations. This was not how things were supposed to go; they were supposed to tell his family in private, not out in public. People were staring at them as they walked by and she put both of her hands over her face in embarrassment. She wanted to say something back at the other blonde but Klaus beat her to it.
Klaus slid his arm around her waist before glaring at Rebekah. "We weren't hiding anything, we had just not chosen to tell anyone as of yet."
"So it's true then?" Kol asked sounding like an excited child. "You really are shagging Caroline?"
"I am dating Caroline." Klaus answered as he turned his glare towards his younger brother. "Whether we are shagging or not is not any of your damn business."
"Hold on a second, Niklaus." Finn interrupted, speaking for the first time causing his siblings to focus their attention on him. "You and Caroline are involved?"
"Yes."
"As in romantically?" Finn clarified.
"Yes." Klaus repeated.
Finn looked at him then Caroline and back to him again, his face a mask of complete and utter confusion. "When or I guess I should ask how did this happen? I didn't realize that you had become more than employee and employer."
"You are such a dullard, how you keep a beautiful woman like Sage is beyond me." Kol stated as he rolled his eyes. "As for Nik and Caroline, all I have to say is that it's about damn time! I mean, seriously how much longer were you two going to make us endure the whole 'will they or won't they?' debacle. Bonnie and I…"
Caroline's eyes widened at the mention of one of her best friends. "Kol, you cannot tell Bonnie!"
"Darling, you can't honestly believe I'm going to be able to keep this to myself?" Kol asked. "This bit of gossip is just too good not to share."
"Please Kol." Caroline begged. "Let me tell her on my own, she's going to be upset enough that I didn't tell her right away, I don't need her finding out from someone else."
"I don't know if I'm capable of not saying something once I see her." Kol stated, his tone sounded teasing but Caroline couldn't be sure with him. "But considering we'll probably be tied up with Katherine and our new niece or nephew for at least today…"
"And even after, if Kol doesn't keep his mouth shut, he'll be finding himself a patient instead of a visitor at this hospital." Klaus warned his brother. "Isn't that right?"
"Of course it is." Kol replied with a mischievous smile. "I doubt she'd believe me even if I did tell her."
Caroline let out a breath she hadn't even realized she was holding once Kol had seemed to agree not to rat her out to Bonnie. Of her friends, she knew Bonnie would be the most understanding about her relationship with Klaus, she had told Caroline as much before but Bonnie would be hurt if she found out about it from someone besides Caroline herself. "Um, now that I've come to do what I wanted to do, I'm going to leave."
"Caroline…" Klaus started to say, wanting to tell her that she didn't need to feel as if she had to leave just because of the circumstances.
"I just wanted to check on Katherine and bring you your stuff." Caroline stated. "Maybe I'll bring the twins by later to visit, either just you or their new cousin if he or she has made her arrival by then. And I've got plenty to do at the house."
"Yes, we wouldn't want you to fall back on your work." Rebekah retorted. "Whatever could you do then to get into your bosses' good graces?"
"Bekah, that's enough. I don't ever want to hear you talk like that to her again." Klaus barked before turning back to his girlfriend and kissing her on the top of her head before whispering in her ear. "Don't pay attention to her; she's just being spiteful and petty. I'll call or see you later, love."
Caroline nodded in response as she pulled away from him. She said goodbye to the Mikaelson siblings, including a glowering Rebekah before heading away and towards her car. This encounter was one of the single most mortifying experiences in her life, she was so embarrassed not to mention angry. She wanted so badly to lash out at Rebekah but had held her tongue partially out of respect for Stefan and Klaus but also because she knew that finding them in that position must have come as a shock to the blonde. However she'd be damned if she'd let Rebekah talk to her like that next time they met, she was not a doormat and she had other people to deal with.
Once she was out of sight from them, Caroline pulled her phone out and hit one of two of her speed dial contacts. It rang a couple of times before the other end picked up. "Hey Elena, do you think you could get away to meet for lunch? I need to talk to you and Bonnie about something big."
Klaus stared after Caroline as she retreated and only turned away when his sister started to go off again. "What the hell do you think you're doing Nik? Have you lost your mind?"
"No I haven't but you seem to have if you think I will have you treating me as if I'm a child you can chastise." Klaus retorted, he moved forward so that they were only inches away.
"No, not a child but certain a teenage boy who is being led around by his Willie." Rebekah countered.
"We should have brought popcorn." Kol muttered to Finn as they watched the two siblings face off in front of them. Finn just shook his head before grabbing Kol's arm and pulling him away, much to his brother's disgust. "You're are no fun at all brother."
Despite the commotion of Kol's unhappiness at being taken away from what he saw as a huge source of entertainment, Klaus and Rebekah's attentions were focused solely on the other one.
"Do you think that low of me?" Klaus asked his sister.
"Tell me I'm wrong here, Nik." Rebekah demanded, fisting her hands on her hips. "Tell me that you aren't sleeping with her because you are lonely and you see the way the twins love her. Because I want to believe that you wouldn't put so much at risk with breaking your children's hearts for a simple rough and tumble in your bed with a pretty girl."
"Yes, you are in the wrong here, because I'm not with Caroline simply for sex." Klaus shouted.
"Then what is it? Don't get me wrong, I like Caroline but if you aren't with her for sex, why the risk? You can't possibly be in love with her." Rebekah declared boldly only to stop when she saw the look in her brother's eyes. They were full of terror, not at the idea of being in love but at the thought that she had discovered his secret. "Oh my God, you are, aren't you? You're in love with her."
"I didn't say that."
"You don't have to; for once I can see your feelings plainly on your face." Rebekah explained, her fury softening as the reality of their conversation sunk in. "Oh my God, you are, aren't you? You're in love with her."
"Bekah, you assume too much."
"And yet you still haven't denied it." She retorted. "What's wrong with it if you do?"
"Only minutes ago you insinuated that she was a whore and I was letting my libido run my life, now you are for the whole relationship?" Klaus questioned.
"I didn't say I was for it now." Rebekah stated. "And yes, I was against the idea of you sleeping with your nanny, she's an employee and with that comes a whole set of rules about how you should not cross that line."
"I'm very aware of that Sister." He replied. "Caroline and I discussed this ad nauseam in the beginning, or to be honest, I was the one talking about it while she was fighting it. She didn't want to risk hurting Henry or Lexi or losing them if things went sour between the two of us."
Rebekah couldn't help but smile at the thought of Caroline fighting her very stubborn brother regarding their affections. "Well that elevates my opinion of her even more than because I must say part of my initial surprise was the idea that she could be some bloody tramp who wants to get her claws into her wealthy boss by sleeping with him. I never got that impression from Caroline."
"She's not; believe me when I say she is the farthest thing from it." Klaus declared. "She…"
Before he could say anything else, another voice interrupted them. "I have to say that when Kol told me that the two of you were out here having an argument, I expected to see bloodshed."
Klaus turned towards his brother-in-law's voice. "Come to save your damsel, mate?"
"Pfft, more like save you from her wrath." Stefan commented as he came up beside his wife, wrapping his arm around her and looking into her eyes. "Everything okay here?"
"Nik and I were just having a little chat, nothing to worry your pretty head about." Rebekah assured him. "Right, Brother?"
"No, not at all. I'm sure Bekah will tell you all about it later." Klaus stated.
"Well that's good because I came out to tell the two of you that you might want to get your asses inside before you miss your brother coming out to announce the birth of his child, the nurses just came out and announced that Katherine's labor has progressed even more and she had just started pushing."
Rebekah's eyes widened significantly as she slapped Stefan on the chest before pulling away from him. "And you didn't tell us that as soon as you came out here?"
Klaus only shrugged at Stefan's look of confusion before following after his sister back into the hospital. Today was turning out to be quite memorable, and the newest member of their family hadn't even been born yet.
/
Caroline was the first one to the restaurant but Elena and Bonnie were not far behind. Bonnie reached over and enveloped her in a hug as soon as she was within reach. "Is everything okay Caroline?"
"Yeah, your phone call put me on edge that I couldn't get a thing done after it." Elena added.
"Sorry guys to worry you, I'm still tired from the trip and didn't get a lot of sleep last night after Klaus headed to the hospital..."
"Hospital?" They both exclaimed.
"What happened?" Elena asked, "Did something happen to one of you on the trip home?"
"No, nothing like that. I guess I'm not doing anything to alleviate your worries here am I?" Caroline inquired. "The trip was fine, great even, no one got hurt. Katherine went into early labor last night and he left to go be with his siblings."
Both women visibly relaxed at Caroline's explanation. The waiter appeared then, taking their drink orders and handing them menus before disappearing again. Bonnie played with the straw of her glass as she spoke. "So if everything is okay, why the rush to meet? Don't get me wrong, you look great and the vacation seems to have given you this great glow but I thought we were going to meet up later in the week for drinks?"
"Um, we were but something kind of came up and I thought it was best to see you guys right away." Caroline said hesitantly.
"What's going on Caroline? You've never been one to beat around the bush about, well anything." Elena stated. "Are you sure nothing is wrong?"
"No, nothing is wrong. Things are actually good, very good and that's part of why I'm worried to tell you guys about it. But here it is." Caroline started. "I've been seeing someone and didn't tell you two."
Elena burst out giggling. "Really? That is what is going on? You are dating a new guy and are worried that we will be mad that you haven't told us."
"Well not exactly that, more who it is. It's Klaus." Caroline declared. "We've been dating since the night of Stefan and Rebekah's wedding."
Her announcement caused the humor and laughter to instantly drop off of their faces and was replaced by a look of shock. They stared at her like that for a moment, Bonnie being the first one to recover. "I was right! That day, the day after when you came to my apartment, I knew something more had gone on than you told me."
Caroline nodded. "I wanted to tell you but he and I had agreed not to say anything to anyone, not even the twins until we felt a bit more comfortable. It was so new and we were trying to figure out how things were going to go."
Before Bonnie could speak again, Elena spoke up. "So let me get this straight, you are dating Klaus? As in your boss? The man who is responsible for your income and professional life?"
"Yes, that would be the one." Caroline countered. She had known that Elena would be the one to have the biggest issue with her relationship and she didn't disappoint.
"And you think this is a good idea?" Elena asked.
Caroline nodded. "Yes, Elena I do. And I hope that as my friend you would be happy for me."
"As your friend, its part of my job to do what I can to keep you from doing something stupid." Elena retorted.
"Guys,…" Bonnie interjected but Caroline's voice overrode hers.
"Wow, I didn't realize that you considered our friendship a job." Caroline bit back, her anger rising. She had known that Elena would be the one to have the biggest issue with her choice but she wasn't going to let someone else degrade her relationship like Rebekah had, not even one of her best friends. "You know, I didn't go into this with him lightly; I'm not someone who does something without thinking about it to death. Something as my friend you should know."
"Which is why I'm surprised to hear that you still went through with starting something with him all things considering. I'm sure the con list was much larger than the pro one." Elena stated.
Caroline felt her face start to burn hot at Elena's words. "You want to know what was the pro list that canceled out the entire con list? He cares about me and wants to be with me after knowing everything! He doesn't care that the lower half of my body is covered in scars, he doesn't care that I might not ever be able to give him more children, he wants me in spite of all of that!"
Elena's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "You didn't tell him the truth, you never tell a guy straight out about that."
"Well I did." Caroline snapped. "When everything came out that we were feeling, I refused him because of it but he kept fighting me until I told him and you know what he told me? That he didn't care. That he wanted to be with me in spite of that. Now isn't that the kind of guy you would want for me?"
"Of course it is." Bonnie declared. "It's exactly the type of guy we would want for you."
"But does he have to be your boss?" Elena asked. "There are tons of guys out there I'm sure that would feel the same way."
Caroline shrugged. "Maybe, but he's the one I want. I tried fighting how I felt about him; I was scared because I was convinced that he couldn't accept me and that things would end badly when he found out. Nevertheless, they didn't, I told him and he still wanted me. I know that's not a guarantee of a happy ever after but no one going into a relationship has that kind of promise. And if things don't work out with us then they don't but then at least I know that I followed my heart."
Elena opened her mouth to argue more when the waiter suddenly reappeared at their tables. "Now that you ladies have had a few moments to look over the menus, what can I get for you?"
"You know, I think I've lost my appetite." Elena acknowledged as she handed the waiter back the menu then stood up. "I'm just going to go."
"Elena, you're being ridiculous." Bonnie stated. "You don't need to leave just because the two of you are arguing…"
"No, let her go." Caroline interrupted. "I'm not going to make her stay here if she doesn't want to be, it's her decision not to respect mine."
Elena glared at Caroline before turning towards Bonnie. "I'll talk to you later."
Before Bonnie could say anything more, Elena turned on her heel and stormed out of the restaurant. Caroline watched her go before giving her order to the shell-shocked waiter. Bonnie did the same and once he had left again, Caroline spoke. "That didn't go the way I thought it would."
"You think?" Bonnie asked.
"I mean, I knew she wouldn't take it well but I thought she might change her mind when she saw how happy I was. I guess I forgot how critical and judgmental she can be." Caroline explained as she started to sip her drink.
Bonnie looked at her blonde friend with a look of disbelief. "You do remember how critical you were when she told us that she and Damon were dating."
Caroline's face flushed a little at the reminder. "That was different. I was worried because Damon was the quintessential man-whore and I didn't want her to get hurt. But I didn't pout when she continued to date him and refuse to be around her."
"So this is really happening huh? You and Klaus?"
"Yep." Caroline answered, popping the last letter of the word. "I hope you can be happy for me."
"I told you that night you showed up in my apartment what I thought of the whole thing, I stand by that." Bonnie told her. "Kol and I might have discussed the two of you once or twice and I have to say, what he told me about Klaus has given him more marks on my good side."
Though she was curious as to what Kol might have told Bonnie, Caroline decided to question her friend on her own love life. "It sounds like you and Kol have been spending quite a bit of time together. He mentioned you earlier when I saw him at the hospital."
"Um, not really. Just a night here and there." Bonnie said nervously.
However, Caroline didn't buy it. "I think it's a bit more than that if you guys have been talking about Klaus and me. That doesn't sound like a topic for conversation with a simple booty call."
Now it was Bonnie's turn for her cheeks to turn red. "Well maybe."
"Haha, I knew it." Caroline laughed. "Hopefully Elena will be more supportive of your relationship than mine."
"Give her some time, she'll come around too." Bonnie assured her. She knew that Caroline was upset at Elena's reaction earlier so she decided to take her mind off of it. "Now tell me everything that has been going on, the trip, you and Klaus, even when you ran into Kol earlier."
Caroline's eyes widened as she remembered the incident outside of the hospital and she launched into the story of what had happened that lead her to meeting her friends for lunch.
/
Later that day, Caroline headed back to the hospital with the twins. She had received a call from Klaus not long after leaving her lunch with Bonnie telling her that Katherine had delivered and both mother and baby were fine. Well the baby had been born on the small side, barely five pounds but so far the doctor said that the little boy didn't need to spend time in the NICU, which of course was a blessing.
The news of the successful birth, not to mention spending time with the twins had lightened Caroline's dark mood but it wasn't until she watched them take off running down the hall towards their father that a full smile touched her lips.
"Daddy!" The two kids yelled as they reached him and wrapped their arms around his legs.
Klaus spoke to his children softly in greeting before standing up and greeting Caroline with a kiss to the cheek. "Thanks love for bringing them."
"I wanted to, and even if I hadn't, they wouldn't have let me be after I told them that they have a new cousin." Caroline told him.
"Can we see him?" Lexi asked excitedly.
"Yes, but you have to behave and not make too much noise once we are in there. He's had a big day, being born and all and your Aunt is also tired." Klaus told them.
"We promise to be on our best behavior." Henry assured him.
Thinking about her run in with his sister and brothers earlier, Caroline hesitated in regards to going into the room. "This is a family thing, I should stay out here."
"No!" The twins protested. "Don't you want to see the baby?"
"Of course I do, it's probably crowded in there and I don't want to overwhelm your aunt." Caroline explained.
"Nonsense. Elijah is here with Daniel, as is Sage, Kol and Rebekah. Finn went home so that Sage could bring Daniel and Stefan left not long ago." Klaus told her as he reached for her hand. "Come on, I'm sure Katherine will want to show off her new son to as many people as possible."
"Okay." Caroline replied giving in, though she wasn't looking forward to facing Rebekah again. She released Klaus' hand as they moved toward the door of Katherine's room. As soon as it opened, Caroline could see all of the people inside. Katherine was of course in the hospital bed, with a bundle in her arms, looking tired but very happy. Elijah sat next to her on the bed with Daniel on his lap, and Sage, Kol, and Rebekah sat or stood in a half circle around them. Caroline noticed Rebekah eyeing her as the entered but she ignored it.
"Katherine, someone is here to see you." Klaus announced over the buzz from the lively conversation.
The brunette looked up from the bundle in her arms, looking very tired but also had a huge smile on her face. "It's about time. It seems like you guys have been gone forever, I've missed you and Logan is very anxious to meet his cousins."
Despite their promise to their father, Henry and Lexi couldn't contain themselves and rushed forward to their aunt's bedside to look at the little bundle in blue.
"Aww, he's so cute." Lexi cooed.
"He's kind of wrinkly and small." Henry said his face scrunching. "And why is he so red?"
"Henry…be polite." Caroline chastised him but Katherine just laughed. "That's just Henry being Henry."
"That's how most babies look when they are born Henrik." Elijah chuckled. "And you and your sister were a tad smaller than he is when we first met you."
"We were?" Henrik asked, looking at his father. He had told them about when they were born before but he didn't know they were that small.
Klaus nodded. "Twins are usually smaller since they have to share everything. But you both grew very quickly."
"Well I think Logan is adorable." Lexi interjected.
"Me too, Lexi." Caroline agreed.
"Would you like to hold him Caroline?" Katherine asked. "I think you're the only adult here that hasn't, even Kol took him for a bit."
"Hey, I'll have you know I have tons of experience with babies." Kol stated. "You have to in this family."
"Very true, and sadly it doesn't seem that the scales will be tipping towards there being more girls than boys if everyone keeps having baby boys." Rebekah added.
"Well you and Stefan should get right on rectifying that situation sister." Elijah teased, causing a blush to blossom on Rebekah's cheeks.
"Back to what I was saying." Katherine said speaking up and turning to the blonde. "Do you want to hold him, Caroline?"
"Yeah, sure." Caroline answered, stepping forward take the baby from his mother. He stirred a little in the transfer but quickly settled against her chest and drifted back to sleep. She looked up briefly and saw that Klaus was looking at her, his eyes filled with trepidation before he mouthed 'Are you alright?'
It took her a minute to figure out exactly what he was referring to, he was worried that her holding a baby might be an issue for her. She appreciated his concern, but it was unnecessary. She subtly nodded her head to assure him and the subject was forgotten instantly when Lexi spoke.
"Aunt Katherine, did you know that Daddy has a girlfriend now?"
Katherine's eyebrows scrunched in confusion. Who was her niece referring to? Had Nik met someone? He had to have because the only other option would have been Caroline and she knew that couldn't be true or she would have already heard about it. "He does, does he? And who might that be?"
"Caroline silly! Who else?" Henry asked.
"What?!" Katherine shouted, the cry echoing a bit in the room. She saw said blonde rocking her baby a bit, and knew that she had startled him. When he didn't start crying, she looked up at her brother-in-law with a fixed stare. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"
"You were in the middle of having a baby." Klaus replied. "I thought that took precedence over my love life."
"That's no excuse." She retorted. "After months of me trying to get you two to wake up and see what was in front of you, you didn't' think I'd want to hear this big news?"
Katherine looked over next to her where her husband sat, just as her hand came up to smack him in the middle of his chest. "Why didn't you tell me? You knew I would want to know!"
Elijah cringed a bit under the blow before answering. "I wasn't aware of it either; I was as much in the dark as you."
"We only found out when I spotted them outside together." Rebekah answered. "Finn and Kol ran into us just after. I told Stefan and I assume that Finn told Sage?"
Sage nodded, "Just before I left the house, though I didn't get all of the details. Finn was a bit baffled at the whole thing."
"I want details." Katherine ordered, her gaze now fixed on Caroline. "When? How? Anything and everything. And don't leave out the juicy stuff."
Caroline felt her ears go warm at Katherine's command, knowing exactly what she was getting at and couldn't help but feel as if there was huge spotlight on her and Klaus at the moment. Thankfully he chose to speak up then. "Now is not the time nor the place considering the attendance of little ears. We had planned to tell you all this weekend at the family dinner at the house but now that is unnecessary since everyone knows. However, we will still plan to have the dinner and you can interrogate us then."
Katherine's mischievous expression turned into a pout but surprisingly she didn't argue with Klaus' proposal. Caroline was thankful that the conversation quickly turned away from them and back onto the newest Mikaelson. An hour later, all of the visitors decided to depart and leave Elijah and Katherine with their new son.
As the twins said their good-byes, Caroline felt a hand on her arm. She turned towards it and found herself looking into the blue eyes of Rebekah. "Let's go out into the hallway for a quick chat, shall we?"
"Yeah, sure." Caroline agreed before following the other blonde towards the door. She could feel Klaus' eyes burning into the back of her head but she ignored him and followed his sister out into the hallway.
Once the door was closed and they were alone, Rebekah spoke. "Earlier today, when I saw you and Nik together, to say I was a bit shocked would be an understatement. And though I am not apologizing for what I said, I will for the way I said it. I could have been more tactful and civil though I'm not known to be either of those. Regardless, after speaking to Nik, I know that whatever this thing is between you it is not some scandalous affair nor an attempt on your part to get at my brother's money."
"Money is the last thing I want from Klaus." Caroline declared.
"Please don't say it's for the sex." Rebekah pleaded. "Katherine made that declaration once regarding Elijah and I still have not recovered from it."
"No, although…." Caroline snorted a bit as she snickered at the look on the other woman's face. "But seriously, I'm with Klaus for him and no other reason. Well not just him, I know he's not alone, I care about the twins too."
"Good, then I have no issue with the two of you being together." Rebekah replied before moving in closer so that she could stare into Caroline's eyes. "But know this, if you hurt my brother or my niece and nephew, I will tear you apart."
Despite the venom in her voice, Caroline did not shrink away; instead she stared back just as boldly. "If I hurt them, you won't have to because hurting them would tear me apart."
After a beat, Rebekah seemed to believe Caroline's words and nodded just as the door to Katherine's room reopened and Klaus stepped out with the twins. He glanced between his girlfriend and his sister before saying, "I do hope you are behaving yourself sister."
"Of course I am, Caroline and I were just talking is all, right?" Rebekah said, looking at Caroline.
"Yep, just a quick talk." Caroline confirmed.
"And now that it's over, I'll let you get out of here and take the children home, I expect you are quite tired aren't you?" Rebekah asked Henry and Lexi as she gave them each a hug before doing the same to her brother. "I will see you tomorrow Nik, and I guess the rest of you at your house for dinner this weekend."
As soon as she left, Klaus looked at Caroline. "She wasn't making a nuisance of herself again was she?"
"Nope, not at all, just a friendly chat girl to girl." Caroline promised. "Now let's go home."
Well what did you guys think? Did you guess how everyone was going to react? Sorry if my Elena hate kind of bled through on this. Also I'm told that the image of Kol holding a baby is hard on the ovaries, maybe I should have posted a warning?
I don't plan to actually show the family dinner that is mentioned, writing all of the Mikaelsons is quite exhausting and I think it would just be a rehash of stuff. So next part will move a little ahead in time and you'll see how Klaroline is adjusting to real life situations.
