Chapter 9: Diplomacy
MONDAY NIGHT
Rusev putria...Rusev matschga...
Roar of the lion hit as the Ravishing Russian Lana made her way out as Rusev followed waving
the Russian flag as they made their way down and into the ring as Lana had a mic in her hands.
"Now it Shut up!" Lana told the crowd who were once again interrupting her.
"As I was saying, now it seems you Americans will never learn your place in this world, your leaders cower when a superior power rises and now that power is the Bulgarian Brute and The Super Athlete and Hero of The Russian Federation... Rusev!" she stated.
"And you will all witness Rusev when he crushes The Red Dragon, David Redd." she stated once more.
OUT OF MY WAY!
Out of my way hit and out came his opponent as David had on his hoodie as he got into the ring and took his jacket off and stood face to face with both Rusev and Lana as she still had the mic.
"Before we start this match David, Rusev would like to say that he is impressed with your accomplishments." Lana said surprising David and the WWE Universe. "Yes you come from a small country of…um…Walse?" she pronounced wrong as it irritated David. "Nonetheless you may have beaten monsters but you cannot defeat the Super Athle-"
She got cut off as David snatched the mic away from her hand.
"Now Lana first off it's pronounced Wales, second I take the compliment from a man who also has impressed and decimated the competition here but however your comments about this country I find very…unpleasant, we have been given the opportunity to perform on the grandest stage of all wrestling and you two choose to use your right to free speech to belittle this country that gave us opportunity to be here and perform in front of millions and I am thankful for this and that is why I have to do this…"
HE DROVE THE MIC INTO THE HEAD OF RUSEV!
The bell rang and The Red Dragon was taking the fight to the Bulgarian Brute, with fists as he had him rocked against the ropes and with one huge hit he clotheslined him and himself over and out to the floor as David was able to get himself back up and up to the apron as he waited for Rusev to get back up to his feet as he slowly did David ran right towards him and HE CRASHED INTO HIM WITH A SENTON SPLASH!
Rusev had been taken off his feet and David was all fired up as he brought the big man up and threw him back into the ring as he went in but Rusev was getting back up to one knee and David got a quick dropkick to his face bringing him down once more, 1-2-NO HE KICKS OUT! He didn't stop the offence as he got in a headlock in to try and wear him down but the Bulgarian Brute threw him off with such ease and quickly just knocked David down with a hard shoulder.
He went on the attack as David got back up and he just delivered a hard kick to the side as he hit another he was strategising each kick with precision Rusev went for another one but David out of nowhere caught his leg and with all his strength he managed to flip him to the ground and quickly went to try and go for a submission hold but he powered out of it by kicking him off.
Rusev got back up quickly as did David as it seemed both men are at a standoff, David threw a fist at Rusev as he threw one back and the exchange went on but David tried to whip Rusev into the ropes but was thrown into them himself and was just brought down with the whole body weight of The Super Athlete crashing into him then he took David up to his feet and used his power to get David up and just drop him with a tilt a whirl slam but he fell to the outside.
David tried to get himself back into the match and willed himself up using the announce table but Rusev was coming for him as he grabbed David by his head and threw him across the announce table as Cole, JBL and King got out of the way seeing Rusev going for him again and then bouncing his head off the table but however David sprung to life as that shot unfazed him as he turned to face The Bulgarian Brute and start slapping himself across the face and did his primal roar and went at Rusev again as he blocked a right hand from him and hit a few fists to the face then followed up with a wicked head butt which stunned him for a second as he stumbled away from the announce area…HE CAME FLYING OFF THE ANNOUNCE TABLE WITH A LOU THESZ PRESS!
The match took another turn as Rusev was actually down and The Red Dragon just unleashed fury on The Super Athlete, he threw Rusev back into the ring and decided to go to the top rope looking to hit the knee from there but Lana was distracting him but he went for it HE GOT CAUGHT WITH A HUGE KICK TO THE FACE BY RUSEV! He was taken down by the huge foot of Rusev as he waited for him to get to his feet and just threw him into the corner as he went for a splash but David avoided the attack and dropped him with a quick DDT and while he was down…HE LOCKS IN THE DRAGONTRAP!
The submission was locked in and Rusev was trapped as Lana was panicking like a madwoman and was shouting at Rusev to not tap out but everyone could feel this is the night that The Bulgarian Brute would be handed his very first loss in WWE but the referee was distracted and David stopped the pressure to see BO DALLAS ON THE APRON! Dallas was once again getting into his business.
David started arguing with Dallas as he was just talking a load of nonsense trying to throw him off as David had enough and grabbed him by the head and just flipped him into the ring as he realised this was a bad idea as he was pleading with The Red Dragon to let him leave but all he got was a few fists to his face as he was taken to the ground for a beat down but from out of nowhere Rusev kicked David in the head as then Dallas got back up and began beating him down causing the match to be thrown out.
They began to double team him as Dallas holds David up and Rusev came at him but he got out of the way and he hit Dallas and David quickly dropkicked Rusev in the face sending him back but he then grabbed Dallas and threw him right into Rusev send them both outside, Rusev was stopped going back in by Lana as they left and Dallas left through the crowd not wanting any part of David as he did his primal roar and made a statement as he looked to the Intercontinental Championship belt at ringside.
LATER ON
Afterwards David was icing himself off and was trying to figure out why Bo would even dare come after him after he tried to go after him two weeks ago.
"Looks like somebody had a rough night?" it was the COO Triple H with a grin on his face.
"Really? Thought it was just the temperature in here?" David sarcastically replied.
"Now that right there was to show you that we can make your life difficult or you could take this time to think and realise that maybe you can become part of something much bigger than all of this and what you're supposedly fighting for is not worth it." Hunter tried to convince him once more to join his group.
"Alright say if I decide to join you would I get what I want?" David asked.
"Well that depends on your needs?" Hunter asked him on his demands.
"Only need I have is for you and your Authority gone and again I reject your offer and to be clear once more or are you getting on in your advanced age old man?" that comment annoyed The Game. "I don't need your favors or the blatant abuse of power so go ahead make your threats, put me in matches, make my life difficult or better yet you could fire me but we both know that won't end well for any of you, so once more for your benefit…Go…To…Hell…Old…Man." David said as he left the Chief there and the anger was forming on his face hearing his last words.
David walked away from that as he then walked past his acquaintance and her frenemy having a very odd talk.
"You were so great out there!" Paige said in a very upbeat tone.
"So were you and we'll be even more great when we're in the ring at BattleGround." AJ said also returning the compliment.
AJ noticed David passing. "Oh look Paige isn't that your boyfriend?" she motioned.
Hearing that comment threw Paige off a bit. "No he's not! We can barely tolerate one another!" she defended herself.
"Oh Davey!" AJ called to him as he reluctantly walked over to them.
"Ladies whatever little argument you're having don't involve me please I just got thrown around by Ivan The Terrible." David moaned not wanting any part of this.
"I was just discussing how your relationship is going with one another." AJ said once again stirring the pot.
Paige hearing that was turning her face away but David sighed knowing he now had to say his piece on this.
"Now AJ here's a piece of information just for you." he then pointed to Paige. "Me and her can barely stand one another, I mean the first time we met we wanted to kill one another and I say it again that I accidentally took one of your piercings out!" he said protesting that. "And her reaction to that was waking me up with a metal tray across my head and then spraying me square in the face with pepper spray so you tell me how that would go between us now?!" David asked AJ as he just walked off now annoyed.
AJ stood there a little surprised by that as she looked to her frenemy. "And they say I'm crazy." she said.
MONDAY NIGHT
David was now finally getting his hands on Bo Dallas but there was a twist as he would be forced to team with AJ Lee to take Bo and his partner Paige and David could not care less as long as he got his hands on Dallas for the stunt he tried to pull last week costing him his match against Rusev.
"Davey…can I ask you something?" the voice belonged to his tag team partner AJ Lee and she had that look on her she always has when she's either wanting to know or up to something.
"If it's a stupid question then no." David bluntly said not even caring what she wanted to ask.
"Not really just wondering if you and my bestie are just good friends or really good friends?" AJ inquired which annoyed David hearing this once more.
"No comment." David bluntly said.
"C'mon just a hint?" AJ asked as David tried to ignore her.
"No." he said trying to avoid the question.
"Just a tencie wincie hint?" AJ again tried to get it out of him.
"No." he responded again.
"A little peek-a-boo?" AJ kept on going.
David was almost at the end of his tether.
"No." he said one more time.
But what came next he wasn't ready for as she placed her title to one side and then stood in front of him and then she sat in his lap and then she straddled him and wrapped her hands around the back of his neck.
"You know this game your playing with her is not going to end well for you and using me to get to her wouldn't really do much in terms of helping you get one over her so you can ju-"
He was cut off by a full on kiss from AJ as he decided to just let her carry on and it went on for a full minute.
"What was that for?" David asked.
"Just checking something." AJ said as she hopped off him and grabbed her title. "Now I'll see you out there partner." she said skipping off down the hallway.
David tried to get his head around what just happened.
"Women." he muttered to himself and just got back to preparing himself for the match.

Shoot for the stars hit as Bo Dallas made his way out and doing his "Inspirational" pose and showing his BO-lievers as he made his way out as he went into the ring and posed again and gave that smile of his.
Stars in the sky hit as The Anit-Diva made her way down and her mind was only on the match and AJ as she made her way out and did not pay any attention to Dallas as the locker room found him quite annoying but she then had a mic.
"Ladies and gentlemen please allow me to introduce my opponent from Union City, new Jersey she is the Divas Champion and my best friend AJ Lee!" Paige introduced her.
Light it up hit as the Divas Champion AJ skipped her way out and holing up her title belt as she was flattered by Paige's gesture and made her way into the ring as they hugged and then AJ asked for the mic from her and she got it.
"Paige my bestie thanks for that introduction and now I think I should do the same for my partner tonight, hailing from Cardiff, Wales he is The Red Dragon and I can tell you now why they call him that ladies…." Paige's demeanor changed a bit hearing that."….David Redd!" she introduced her partner.
OUT OF MY WAY!
Out of my way hit and out came The Red Dragon who was sighing at AJ's introduction as again it was all to get at Paige as he came out but only one thing on his mind and that was Bo Dallas's head as he entered the ring and took off his hoodie.
The bell rang and both David and Dallas started things off as they locked up and David backed Dallas into the corner but the referee started the count and after five he pulled David off as Dallas was using the rope break to get some distance between them as he was cowering there.
David began to dare him to get out of there as he then turned his back to him and was giving him an opening and he just ran at him seizing his chance as he ran at him but David sidestepped him and quickly grabbed him from behind and took him up and back dropped him, 1-2-NO HE KICKS OUT!
He brings him up and throws him against the ropes as he hit's a clothesline, then another and another and another and once again he grabbed him from behind and nailed another backdrop but then brought him back up and hit another one, Dallas was holding the back of his head as it seems David was targeting that area as payback for what Dallas did to him in NXT.
Now on top of him David rolled him over onto his stomach and just began wrenching any part of his face as he squealed in pain as he pulled back on his nose, mouth and even raking his eyes then was sat on top of him and just started to slap him across his head just paint brushing and humiliating him as David stopped the humiliation and let him get up as he tried to escape the ring he was pulled back in and David just hammered away at him with lefts and rights as he was fired up.
Looking at how defeated Bo looked he looked to his corner and tagged in AJ as it was her versus Dallas as she skipped over to him and tapped him on his shoulder and he slowly turned around and was relieved it was AJ he got to his feet and was just thankful the beating was over with but AJ smiled and she just flipped Bo to the ground and began skipping around him as it freaked him out and he tagged Paige in.
The women just smiled at one another and hugged and then they locked up as Paige got AJ into a hammerlock but AJ countered into one of her own then she flipped Paige to the floor but then got up quickly and took AJ down with a double leg take down but AJ kicked her off and both women gave that long stare at one another and smiled.
They locked up once more and Paige got AJ hooked into a suplex and nailed it, 1-2-NO SHE KICKS OUT! Not giving her a chance to recover Paige quickly tries to lock in the PTO but AJ kicks her off and out of nowhere she hit's a dropkick and AJ then tagged David in as Paige saw the tag as he stepped in they realised what was about to happen.
David and Paige both started to laugh as they knew it would be like old times as they locked up and began to lock each other into headlocks then he got a hip toss headlock but she countered into one of her own then he countered into a front headlock but she countered into a bridge and got in a half crab but he kicked her off and both were face to face as one knew the other that well.
They locked up again as she backed him into the corner then he reversed it and got her into the corner but then they started a power struggle as it turned into a scrap between them and the ref had to get involved and tried to separate them both as he did but then their attention was turned to him as they argued with him over the split and both looked to one another…THEY PUSHED THE REF DOWN!? Having abused the official he threw the match out as they could not believe he did that and both began arguing with one another but then Dallas tried to blindside him but he intercepted him and threw him over the top rope and out to the floor.
He dared Dallas to get back in the ring as he backed down and retreated as this Sunday at BattleGround they would meet in a battle royal for the Intercontinental Championship.
David has landed himself in hot water not only with Triple H but now with two Divas at war. Will this come back to get him? Will he win the Intercontinental Championship?
