Chapter 14: Resolve
MONDAY NIGHT
The Authority were all in the ring as Stephanie had a mic in her hands.
"Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the man who defeated David Redd last night at SummerSlam, he is The Game, The Cerebral Assassin, The King of Kings and my husband the COO of WWE…Triple H!" she introduced.
The Game hit as he made his way out with a bandage on his wound he suffered last night he was all smiles but was limping as per the effect of the TOS, he slowly made his way down and was helped into the ring as he embraced his wife and all his cohorts he was then handed the mic.
"Last night A King was defending his kingdom from a raging Dragon and like all stories the King slays the Dragon like I did to David Redd even against all odds I was victorious, David Redd…you gave me a fight last night but still you lost and no hard feelings kid." Hunter said with a sinister smile.
"Now to address the situation and rumors concerning David Redd, yes he has checked out of the LA hospital and has a grade two concussion but no one knows of his whereabouts and to answer the concern of the United States Championship we have decided that David Redd due to injury has been…" he then opened his suit jacket as he was wearing the title around his waits. "…stripped of the United States Championship." Hunter announced getting booed for it.
"So with all that said all I have to say to The Red Dragon is, David…stay gone or else I'll finish the job." he threatened him as the show went on.

The locker room were still feeling last night's fallout and one person in particular was getting some questions thrown at her.
"I do not know where he is!" Paige answered. "I am not his keeper! And no for the millionth time we are not together!" she shouted as there were no more questions.
The Divas Champion wished she could answer on his whereabouts but has none as she was also worried about him until her phone rang.
"Mum? No he's not here why?" she asked.
"Oh god…I think I know where he's gone, I'll be there first thing." she said.
"I know I'm champion but they'll understand, I just need to be there." she said as she hung up her phone.

It was a windy day and standing out in the weather was David as he stood looking at a small church.

Do you really want to? Even he showed up but my appearance might make things worse for everyone…
He looked to it once more.
Can't do it.
As he turned away to leave he was met by a sight he thought he'd never see.
"You absolute idiot, your going to turn your back on them today of all days?" it was Paige.
"What're you doing here?" David asked.
"You can't do this alone." she said.
"How'd you eve-Your mum told you didn't she?" he asked.
"We still get some of your post now, so she told you about this?" she asked.
"She got word and told me and after everything that happened I guessed it would be the right time to do this but I'm not so sure now." he said.
She approached him then with both hands held him by his face and directly looked him in the eye.
"Dave, you've taken on the best and worst of the wrestling world and that includes the fight you got into with my brothers and you never gave up and today is your biggest challenge now we're both going in there and we're doing this." she said trying to get his head in one place for this.
"Alright Brit let's do it." he said agreeing with her as she took him by the arm and in they went.
The place was full as all attention was on them and no one could believe who had shown his face as an man stood up from them all and approached them.
"You came."
"Hi dad." David said.
"I wasn't sure you'd come after all that's happened." he said.
"Yeah I almost didn't but I was reminded why I need to do this." David said looking to her.
"Your mother needs her son to be here for her one last time and she'd be happy to know you did came." he said.
"I know we can't change the past but this I need to do and I need to say goodbye." David said looking down towards the coffin of his late mother.
He nodded as he led them both to the front row and they sat in their seats and the ceremony began.
After that a few hours had passed and David was talking with members of his distant family as they were glad he showed up and he then went to talk with his father.
"Still can't believe you made it out there." he said.
"Yeah it's the dream." David said.
David's father looked across the room. "So what's the story between you two?" he asked about him and Paige.
"What? Me and Saraya?" David said.
"She must mean something to you if she's willing to come all this way out here for you." he asked his son.
"It's not like that, we're just friends she knows about the entire situation and after I left and went to live up there I got close with her and her family and since then it's a love/hate relationship we have nothing else going on." David assured him.
"If a girl like that came all the way out here just to help with a personal matter then clearly she is more than just a friend." his father told him.
He knew his father was right but at the same time he had to try and fight it.
"Maybe but for now it's not an option." David said.

It was now the night time and both David and Paige were out having some drinks to reflect on the day's events.
"So me and my dad are going to try again and hopefully it'll be better between us." David said as things were a little better for him.
"Good to hear so you coming back any time soon?" Paige asked.
"Not yet I'll wait." he said.
"Your not US Champion anymore, they stripped you on Monday as your not cleared to wrestle." she informed him.
"We all saw that coming, was there anything else?" he asked.
"He said he'd end you if you came back." she said what Hunter stated to him.
"Oh…well guess I should still go back then but be subtle about it." he said as he was a bit calm oddly about it all.
"You've got a plan haven't you?" she asked knowing him well.
"Like always but I'll have to let someone in on it." he pulled out his phone to make a call. "Hey it's me you up for causing some chaos?" he asked.
After their night out David escorted her back to her room.
"Here I am." she said.
"Yeah guess I'll see you soon." he said about to walk off.
"Dave." she said to him as he stopped to face her.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"You wanna come in for a while?" she asked him.
He wasn't sure what to say to that request.

Usos (c) vs. Goldust & Stardust
The night had kicked off big with two of the hottest teams on the WWE roster battling for the WWE Tag Team titles as the Usos have dominated since winning the gold but now they had a new threat in Goldust and his renewed brother now known as Stardust as the Bizarre Twins gave them a run for their money but the champions defended with all they had but an underhanded move by Stardust with a rollup for the titles.
The United States Championship was stripped from the former champion due to injury and a tournament of WWE's best was made and it was down to two former champions as they fought with all they had and in the end after a Brogue Kick Sheamus regained his title for a third time.
Since Ziggler upset Miz on Raw for the title Miz has been determined to win the gold back as they were in a battle for it and both gave an incredible match and performance and despite the amount of interference from Miz's stunt double Ziggler was able to hit a Zig Zag and retain his title.
The WWE knew that Roman Reigns was not able to compete tonight as he was rushed to have emergency surgery and Rollins had to gloat over this and then have the referee declare him the winner by forfeit as he raised his hand the cameras cut to a taxi cab pulling in and emerging DEAN AMBROSE!
Ambrose was back after Rollins tried to take him out and he just made his way out and ran right towards the ring and got in and just attacked Rollins, both men brawled as Rollins tried to run but Ambrose stopped him each time he tried to but the fight was broken up by security and Hunter even made his way out and they all ejected Ambrose from the place as Hunter followed them out.
"Get him out! Make sure he doesn't get back in here!" he shouted to security as he felt something grab him from behind and then a rag covered his mouth as he began to drift away and faded to black.

A splash of cold water awoke The Game as he regained consciousness and saw his hands were bound above him and he was now in some place dark like a basement or somewhere.
"How was your little kip ?" Hunter recognized that voice.
"Redd…should've known it was you…I told you if you e-"
"Yes I heard your little speech on how you "Slayed the Dragon" well it took you and your minions to do that and you should've finished the job." David said as he came into full vision.
"You think kidnapping me is going to get you revenge?" Hunter said.
"No not really was hoping to show you something." David said as he pulled a duffle bag towards him and brought out a jar and went right up to him.
"Now then do you want to know what I did with that pickle?" he said shoving the pickle towards his face.

"Has anyone seen him?!" Kane said as he was asking all personnel for the whereabouts of his superior as they all gave a no to that.
"C'mon! someone must know where Hunter is?!" Seth said also asking around.
"He couldn't have just vanished?!" Orton said not sure what to make of this.
Stephanie showed up worried out of her mind and turned to the huge security force in tow.
"Find my husband now! If you don't find him I'll fire every last one of you rent a cops!" she made clear as they began their search. "Alright where was the last place we saw him?" she asked Kane, Orton and Rollins.
"All I know is he was with me when we were throwing Ambrose out and he just disappeared." Rollins recalled the event.
"Just keep looking, he has to be here somewhere!" Stephanie ordered as they began searching again.

"NO MORE! PLEASE GOD NO MORE!" Hunter screamed out as he was almost reduced to tears.
He was covered in pickles and the juices as David was holding one in his hand and stopped.
"Oh but Boss I was only getting started." David said in a mocking tone.
"I swear to god I'll have to thrown in jail for this!" Hunter threatened him.
He began to chuckle at his feeble attempt to intimidate him.
"Now Hunter there's no need for that." David said going to the duffle bag for something else.
He then brought out a battery and some jumper cables.
Hunter's eyes widened seeing those. "What're you doing?!" he asked now worried.
"Use you imagination bossman." David said as he connected the cables to the battery and brought it towards him as he then checked the cables and they sparked knowing they were live as he went for the desired area.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" Hunter demanded.
David then stopped. "Glad you asked now do I have your full attention?" he asked.

Stephanie was now panicking as the search for her missing husband was turning up nothing.
"Anything?" she asked.
"Nothing." Orton said.
"Security has swept the place they've found nothing." Kane said.
Rollins tried to calm down the principle Owner. "It's gonna be ok Stephanie we'll find him I'm sure-" he opened a door to find a shocking sight.
"HUNTER!" Stephanie cried out seeing her husband as he was unconscious lying back on a sofa.
Doctors were called in as they checked him over and found something in his jacket pocket and gave it to Rollins who looked at it.
"I think we have our culprit." he said looking at what was found.
"That's a contract." Orton said.
Stephanie took it and looked at it. "It's a match for Hell in a Cell…Triple H vs…David Redd." she said now knowing who was responsible for this.
A new line has been crossed and someone will pay the price.
A rematch is happening but what will come of this? Will they make David suffer the consequences of his actions?
