OoOoOo

It had escalated far beyond anything they had ever feared or considered. Another world war. One on such a massive and global scale that the whole of the E.U. and all allied forced had gathered quickly to try and hold back countries that had gone off the deep end with crazy ideals of how the world should be.

An insult was answered with a declaration.

A declaration had been answered with a warning shot.

The warning shot had escalated to an actual strike.

That strike had been met... with war.

Each country was already amassing forces and blanket drafts had gone out through every country. The foot soldiers would be next to nothing compared to the bombs, missiles, and tactical E.M.P.'s. The whole world over seemed to be holding its breath before the destruction of mankind.

The weapons were much meaner now. Capable of far more disaster at a distance than the previous two world wars. It would be nothing short of bloody carnage.

America sat back quietly, watching the half of the world devolve in a defense meeting. Each speaking of protecting its own borders and why it was the most important. Quite frankly, she did not care.

And it was not unnoticed.

"America, are you even paying attention?" Russia snapped out angrily.

She flicked her gaze to his, cold blue and disinterested eyes met worried violet.

"Of course."

Russia narrowed his gaze at her, torn between believe her and wanting to yell at her.

"Then where is my aid?"

"It is coming," America replied steadily, "as promised. A full shipment of ammunition, and guns shall be within your borders in two weeks."

"That is not soon enough!" The Slavic nation nearly roared across the room. Other nations continued similar petty arguments.

"And, what about my shipment?" France asked with equal concern.

"And mine?!" China demanded.

America spared each of them a clam glance.

"On their way as well. As I have just told Russia, it will be there within two weeks." She repeated seriously.

China slammed his hands on the table.

"You are just being biased toward closer allies. I bet that the Netherlands has been given support by now."

Said European nation said nothing, he was too busy listening to the latest casualty reports.

"Da! You are prejudiced against us."

America quietly pushed back from the table at Russia's accusatory inflection and hard stare.

Calmly she moved toward the front of the room and stared at each of them in turn. Half the world watched her briefly.

Her red lipstick shone under the florescent light and Texas flashed briefly.

"Biased? Prejudiced?" She repeated with a inflection that implied both amusement and dark intent. "Oh no."

The nations paused at her tone. Words were cut short and arguments ceased. The normally active America had not participated much at all.

"In fact, I would wager to say that I am the only one here that is not." She did not change the volume of her words and some strained to hear her.

"How dare you imply-?" England began.

America held up her hand. Effectively cutting off the low rabble of disagreement. Her blue eyes hardened nearly instantly and several nations leaned back, away from her.

"Because I hate all of you. Every last nation on this planet." She enunciated and articulated each word with steady measure.

Her gaze speared England for interrupting. "Please, do contain yourself until I am finished speaking."

America's words were laced with distain and a touch of sarcasm. Nations gasped. They glanced at each other in disbelief.

"Be that as it may," China continued, "We are going to war and-?"

"You think I care if you go to war?" America shook her head with a frighteningly bright and carefree smile on her lips. "No. Not at all."

"You're in it too! Not care? That is impossible-"

"What did I just say?" She asked while arching a brow. "Now, it is true that we have many countries piling up to wage war against the E.U. and all adjoined allies. Myself included."

No one dared say another word.

"And," America continued with a utter seriousness. "I have supplied them all with weapons. Just as I will supply you."

"You did what?" Estonia demanded, going deathly pale.

The star-spangled nation turned toward him with sharp and dangerous eyes. "I supplied them all with weapons. Do try to keep up, dear."

Her sentence was no less jarring a second time. No less horrifying in its honestly. The silence was nearly deafening.

"How could you do such a thing?" France asked weakly, sitting down from the shock of it all.

"Easily." She answered with a shrug. "Money and influence. Things we all do , then cry out against such harsh and horrible means. For power and intrigue. The same as any other nation. It is the reason we do anything. Notification, importance, status,... hell... because we can."

"Frankly," America concluded. "We are not going to survive this, so what does it matter?"

"You've betrayed us!" Several nations accused heatedly, their faces clouded with fury.

"Your point?"

No one had a rebuttal for that. Each felt morally appalled but most nations had been guilty of such a thing at one time or another.

"What did you give to them?" Germany interrupted looking pale and drawn with worry.

Her red lipstick seemed more reminiscent of blood as she grinned at them all nearly wickedly.

"Why, everything I could. Of course."

"Y..You didn't... give them..." Canada hedged, trembling with sickness pooling in his stomach, "any-?"

They shared a glance, and America snorted with dry amusement.

"Of course I did." She confessed blandly.

"B-But... that will kill us all!"

"And?" America asked, her blue eyes and tone appeared bored by the question.

"That includes Americans!"

"Yes well," she said with a grin that bordered on malicious. "I never claimed to like myself either. Such funny assumptions you Europeans make."

"America-!"

"Good day Gentlemen. Enjoy your war. And... best of luck." The Star-spangled nation returned with a mocking smile, which fell as if the strings were cut by some unknown force.

"Norway?" America questioned as she turned toward the stoic nation that stared back at her with shocked and dull eyes. "For what it is worth. I hated you slightly less."

She nodded her head in a subtle acknowledgment to the rest of the world.

"We'll see each other again, in hell."

She walked out the door and began to close it behind her. America did not even bother to turn around as the world as they all knew it, was literally going to crumble to ash.
