After he stole the Intercontinental Championship from Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper was determined to keep it with both men trying to hurt the other with the weapon of choice a ladder as the match was taken to new levels each time the other took risks against one another at one point they both almost took themselves out of the match but after all was said and done Dolph Ziggler climbed the ladder and regained his Intercontinental Championship.
They shenanigans of Miz and his stunt double Mizdow at Survivor Series had brought them to this as he former champions looked to dethrone them and after giving them all they had the match itself ended in disqualification but The Usos did not win back their titles leaving them empty handed.
Daniel Bryan was looking for revenge against a man who was not only his former tag team partner but also a friend turned foe after he cost him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and almost ended his career as from the start of the match Bryan assaulted Kane with a series of chair shots trying to hurt The Big Red Machine but Kane was not going down without a fight as he tried to end his career for good and after two tombstones on the steel Bryan refused to die as Kane looked for number three but out of nowhere Bryan countered and was able to get the knee through the steel and then got in the Yes Lock and made Kane tap out to redeem himself.
The Bella Twins have been attacking Paige every night and even taking her title from her but a message keeps on playing to them each time and now they team to take on Paige and her new ally who will reveal herself as the lights went out.
"I WAS DEAD…BUT NOW I'M ALIVE…"
The lights came back on and standing on the top turnbuckle was a hooded figure as she hopped down and immediately took the hood off to reveal it was the woman known as Hayami and to the Bellas shock her painted face was resembling that of a Japanese Oni as it took the twins off their game as they backed away from her but were blocked by Paige as the two women just threw fists and the match started as they took their rage out on the Bellas who had no defence against these two which ended with Brie getting planted with a RamPaige and Nikki being locked into the standing crossface by Hayami for the win.

Both women were backstage celebrating the win and Hayami's arrival in WWE.
"We're back in business!" Paige said as she and Hayami high fived over that statement.
"Finally we get our chance and now it's our time." Hayami said.
"You know you just made Nikki tap that puts you in line for a shot at the title." Paige said informing her of what her win meant.
"And we'll all say yaaayy!" they heard the stupid voice done by David.
Seeing David Hayami just gave him a hug as it was a reunion of old friends.
"Can't believe we're all here now." Hayami said.
"Yeah it's the dream right, we all made it." Paige said.
"It was all worth it, we're here to make an impact and we've done that but now that is what I intend on doing and tonight is that stepping stone." David said.
"Then what are you waiting for Gaijin?" Hayami said.
David nodded and left to prepare for the match that could change his career.

"The following contest is a Tables match and it is to determine the Number One Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble!" Lillian announced.
OUT OF MY WAY!
Out of my way hit and The Red Dragon made his way out as he was ready and focused to win this match as the weeks leading up to this have been a back and fourth between both men and now it all comes down to this, he made his way down and into the ring as the ring area was littered with tables as he took off his hoodie and awaited the arrival of his opponent.
Second coming hit and Mr. Money in the Bank and The Future of WWE Seth Rollins along with J & J Security made their way out and Rollins and his team have been trying to fill the power vacuum that was created after The Authority was put out of power and now Rollins looks to fulfil his destiny as his team stayed on the outside and he entered the ring and both men were face to face.
The bell rang and they just threw wild shots at one another as it was on, Rollins got in a thumb to the eye and threw David into the ropes as he came off he stopped himself as Rollins came at him he ducked Rollins and went off the ropes and dove on top of Rollins and got in a Lou Thesz press bringing the fists down as he brought him up and threw Rollins into the corner and started stomping into him as he looked to the outside and saw a table and knew he had an opening.
He slid to the outside and went to grab a table but was attacked by J & J as they double teamed him but he was fighting them off and threw Noble head first into the steel ring post and threw Mercury into the barrier back first as he laid them out and went right for a table as he grabbed one from ring side but as he went to slide it in ROLLINS WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Rollins had recovered and in a desperate attempt he took a risk and took David and himself out.
Rollins got to his feet and then delivered some fists to David's face and a few body shots as he bounced his head off the announce table and threw him back into the ring as he grabbed the table nearby and slid that into the ring and he followed, he stomped on him a few times then began to set up the table as he had it placed in the middle of the ring.
Knowing he had this match in hand Rollins brought up David and was looking to put him through the table and placed his body prone on top of the table and went up the top turnbuckle and was looking to end this but as Rollins was at the very top David came to and quickly barged Rollins as he fell on the turnbuckle nads first, David knew he had his chance to win this quickly and met him up there and was setting up for a superplex he hit it…THEY LANDED ON THE MAT?! The table had been moved by J & J.
They got involved again and were back up as they beat David down while Rollins recovered from the superplex, they assaulted him with clubbing blows and stomping him anywhere and everywhere as Rollins was beginning to get to his feet he rolled to the outside and was looking underneath the ring as he pulled out the red crowbar David had placed there.
Now armed with David's weapon of choice Rollins knew this was going to be satisfaction to add insult to the oncoming injury he would be dishing out, he made his way back in and with J & J holding David up for him he was savouring this moment.
"YOUR NOT STOPPING ME FROM MY DESTINY!" Rollins shouted at him.
"THIS IS MY WORLD! AND I'M GONNA TAKE YOU OUT OF IT YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF TRASH!" Rollins ranted at him.
He lined him up for a direct hit with the crowbar as he swung for a headshot…DAVID BROKE FREE! As he grabbed Noble and threw him into the gut of Rollins and that stopped him immediately he grabbed the crowbar and was now armed and struck Mercury in the ribs and swung for both Noble and Rollins who quickly retreated to the outside as they huddled together to try and form a plan…SENTON SPLASH TO THEM ALL!
David had taken them all out with that move and was back in control, he grabbed Rollins and on the outside he snap suplexed him on the floor, quickly getting up David threw him back into the ring and follwed and the table that was already set up there and then st it up into the corner as he placed Rollins against it and was looking to put him through it as he ran full force but Rollins got out of the way and DAVID WENT THROUGH THE TABLE!? But the match continued as he had to be put through it by his opponent.
Rollins now has his chance and brought him out of the wreckage as he had him up to his knees as Rollins went off the ropes SUPERKICK TO THE FACE! He floored him with that shot but he wasn't done and took him into a power bomb position but ran to the corner…POWERBOMB INTO THE TURNBUCKLE! Hitting him with that David was on his knees as Rollins went off the ropes and with one leap KIRB STOMP!
With David down Rollins needed to put him through a table to win the match and went to the outside and grabbed one as he slid it inside the ring and set it up as David was still down and now everything was set as Rollins brought David towards the table and placed his torso across it as he was about to deliver on his promise and was about to Kirb Stomp him through the table, he began to place him on top of the table and went up the top rope as he was looking to deliver the Kirb Stomp off the top to add an exclamation point to the match.
Measuring David as he was going for the finisher…KIRB ST-NO DAVID GOT OUT OF THE WAY…ROLLINS WENT THROUGH THE TABLE!
Rollins had also missed the target as he laid in a heap of wood, while David was trying to get his bearings about him while trying to pull him self up to his feet using the ropes he struggled to get up and seeing that he had his chance to finish this and quickly went to grab a table but Noble and Mercury attacked him again as he was trying to fight them off he threw Mercury off him and had Noble in the front full nelson and drove the knees into his abdomen and threw him to one side as he quickly went after Mercury and clotheslined him down to the ground then brought him up for a neck breaker.
No one left to stop him The Red Dragon was clear and grabbing a table he slid that into the ring and saw Rollins getting up and unleashed his anger on him as he got a front full neslon on Rollins and drove the knees into his abdomen then went up the top rope and from there he measured him as he came off there for A HIGH KNEE! Stunning him with that shot he was on one knee then up dazed A SUPERKICK! That shot flored him and David set up the table and brought Rollins up to his shoulders looking for SEEING RE-HE WAS BOOTED IN THE FACE BY KANE?!
The Big Red Machine interjected himself into this match and he began to beat down David hitting a massive uppercut then wrapping his hand around his throat taking him up CHOKESLAM! Kane had put him down and was then trying to revive Rollins but Kane was attacked by DANIEL BRYAN! Bryan even after beating Kane earlier on wanted more of him and went at him as he threw fists and even some kicks as he had Kane down but in came J & J who were still hurting from the assault earlier double teamed Bryan, but they were taken down by RYBACK! Not wanting to turn his back on fellow team mate and just threw them aside as Kane was up he quickly spinebustered him and was looking for something big and went to the corner.
"FEED ME MORE…FEED ME MORE…FEED ME MORE!" the crowd chanted as Ryback was waiting for it.
He ran at him MEAT HOOK! Kane was down as he then ducked a clothesline from Rollins and MEAT HOOK! He looked around and knew what time it was.
"FINISH IT!" he shouted.
He had Rollins up on his shoulders he marched looking to nail Shell Shock…WMD BY THE BIG SHOW!?
The World's Largest Athlete had knocked out The Big Guy and he, J & J, Kane and Rollins were now all on the attack of their enemies, David tried to fight back even with crowbar in hand as he struck Kane, Noble, Mercury and even Big Show but he was struck with a low blow by Rollins who then took his weapon and ACROSS HIS BACK!
David was down and Rollins was in complete control as he grabbed the table brought into the ring earlier on and began setting it up and brought David to it as he placed him over it and then he stood a top of the table standing over him and with crowbar in hand, he had his foot over his head holding him down and had the weapon above his head for the killing blow…
Truth Reigns hit and Rollins immediately stopped and looked towards the crowd and there he saw a ghost which was Roman Reigns, he came right through the crowd and was on the warpath after Rollins took a default victory after Reigns was taken to the hospital, he hopped the barrier and already he was in a fight with J & J as he nailed Mercury with an uppercut and Noble with another uppercut, Kane came for him as he ducked a fist as he countered with A SUPERMAN PUNCH! It took Kane out as he did the battle cry and A SPEAR!
With Kane out he went after Rollins who was trapped as Reigns had his chance at revenge…he was then grabbed by the massive right hand of Big Show he was looking to Chokeslam Reigns but he broke free and came off the ropes SUPERMAN PUNCH! It rocked him as he came off them again and A SECOND SUPERMAN PUNCH! The Giant was dazed and with one huge hit A SPEAR!
Rollins knew he was alone and at the mercy of his former Shield brethren and tried to run…HE RAN INTO A SUPERKICK FROM DAVID! He was stunned and turned into A SUPERMAN PUNCH! With that Rollins was down and David had his opening and took him up onto his shoulders and SEEING RED THROUGH THE TABLE! IT WAS OVER!
"Here is your winner and Number One Contender, David Redd!" Lillian announced the winner and getting the next title shot would be David.
He had his arm raised by Roman as Bryan and Ryback made their way in to congratulate him as they had stopped Seth Rollins from becoming number one contender as now David would be heading to the Royal Rumble.

After her victory Paige wanted to go and congratulate David on his huge win as she saw him sitting down holding his neck and went to approach him but then stopped and was surprised to see who was with him.
"Here you go, really took it out there."
"I know and thanks for coming here wasn't sure if you wanted to." David said as he was given an icepack which he applied to himself.
"Are you kidding?! I had to be here and besides I wanted to make sure you were ok."
"And I'm very happy about that Sasha." David said as he kissed her.
Paige watching on seeing his mystery woman was NXT's Sasha Banks just turned and left them to it seeing he had moved on.
Later on David had found out he would be facing The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble.
