Chapter Four: Remembering the Past

Abbey realized that today was the day was she would be Niko's maid when she would come over to his palace. She looked at her ghoul friends as she said "What am I going to do? I didn't do anything and I get in trouble, but he is the one that started this whole thing." Lagoona looked back at Abbey as she replied back with "I know mate, but you have to do this if you don't do this Headmistress Bloodgood will find out. It might not be that bad" as then Cleo chimed in with "But our dear sweet Abbey will be the maid for that arrogant jerk!" Abbey looked up to where Niko's palace would be as Ghoulia made an uh sound which Frankie translated "You're right Ghoulia, you have to try to get to him Abbey. Who knows he might be able to help you with that school report you're doing." Abbey sighed as she walked up the mountain to where Niko's palace lies.

Niko walked around his living room of the palace as he heard his aunt appear as Anna said "I want you to be nice to this Abbey girl since she just got done her school day today. Now I hope you know what exactly what you want her to do" Niko just looked at her as he said "Don't worry I'll be nice to the bitch" that is when Anna yelled out "NIKO!" Niko just looked away from her as then he hears the knocking on the door. Niko walked down the steps and to the door as he opens it to see that it is no other then Abbey standing there waiting to come in. Niko completely opens the doors as he said "Come on in" as Abbey enters the palace Niko closes the doors behind her. Niko looked at Abbey as he said "Did you get lost" Abbey only nodded her head no as she continued to follow him up the stairs. As they finally got to the living room Niko turns around to Abbey as he said "Look I didn't ask you to come here, but seeing that we're stuck with each other we might as well get this over with. I want you to go straighten things in my room up, put the books that are on the book shelve in the right order, and clean anything that needs to be cleaned." Abbey looked at him in shocked as she yelled out at him "I am not your mother, I will not do your room. Everything else I will do, but I will not do your room."

Niko got up in Abbey's face as he yelled back "You will do my room, and you will like it! Just be glad that I don't make you wear a maid's outfit" Abbey looked at him in with anger as she turned away from him and to his room. Niko only smirked as he thought 'Now who has the upper hand' but his Aunt Anna appeared in front of him as she yelled out "You will not treat her like that young man! If you are going to treat her that way then maybe you should be going to her place and clean her room!" Niko then turned to his Aunt Anna with a "No" as Aunt Anna smiled as she replied with "I thought so, and you know she is right. She isn't your mother and you should be the one to take care of your own room not her. So what I want you to do is go tell her not to worry about that and let her take care of the other stuff. While she does that you can clean your room" Niko looked down as he walked away from his smiling aunt as he went into the very room where Abbey was in.

Abbey started to pick up all of the clothes that were on the floor and putting then in the hamper where Niko kept his dirty cloths. As then Niko came in as he said "You know Abbey you don't have to do this room any more, and you were right you're not my mother. I should be doing this, and not you but you're going to have to do the other stuff that I had mentioned." Abbey could lonely look at him odd as she replied back with caution "Okay then I'll leave you to clean up your room then." As then Abbey left the room for Niko to clean up his own room while she cleaned or straighten up anything that needs it in his palace.

After a while of cleaning up the palace Abbey started to realize that Niko's aunt Anna was not physically in person per say, but in the pillars of the ice palace. Abbey even noticed that Niko had been acting very depressed about his family as he kept looking at the picture that was either on the table that he had, or on the mantle of the palace fire place. Abbey then tried to continue to clean, but she couldn't get something out of her mind as she said "Niko may I ask you something" Niko stepped inside of the room where Abbey was working on as he said "What". Abbey looked at him as she said "Why is your mother not here? And your Aunt Anna is inside these pillars, she should be with you." As then Abbey got a surprise for her life as Niko got up to her as he said "DON'T EVER ASK ME ABOUT MY PAST EVER AGAIN! Do I make myself clear" Abbey got up in Niko's face as she said "I only asked you why your mother is not here, you don't have to" as then Niko smacked Abbey as she fell to the floor. Abbey looked up to see that Niko was in fact a different person as he was before as he said "I don't ever want you to ask me those questions about my past Abbey! It's better that you don't know!" As then Abbey watched as Niko went back into his room as Abbey cried while she continued to clean again.

After a while of being in his room Niko finally got claimed down as he walked out of his room to see that Abbey had in fact fallen asleep on the ground of his palace as his Aunt Anna appeared in front of him with a sad smile on her face as she said "You shouldn't have said it that way to her Niko, and you shouldn't have smacked her like that either." Niko bent down to pick her up and take her to the couch that he had in his living room. As then Niko was about to lay Abbey down on the couch when his Aunt Anna said "Niko why don't you put her in one of the spare rooms that we have here, and while you do that I'll go tell her one of her friends or family member that she'll stay here. It is after all too late for her to go back home." Niko could only nod as he watched his aunt disappear from his site, and when she was gone Niko did what his aunt had mention. Niko toke Abbey to one of the rooms that they had in the palace and laid her down on one of the beds in the rooms. Niko looked at her as he whispered out "I'm so sorry Abbey, for being what I am. I wish I could take back anything that I have said, but its better this way. If you're smart you won't fall in love with me" as then Niko got up and walked away from Abbey in the spare room. Niko went into the living room and sat on the couch to think some things over.

As Niko sat on the couch reading some book that he was looking at Anna started to look at him as she remembered the past of how Niko became this way. And also how she became the person who got stuck in the pillar of the icy palace.

The Remeberness of the Past

Anna went into the room with her nephew Niko in her arms as she pulled him in as she saw every person in the place started to run around. Anna laid Niko down as she went to the door, and breathed out heavily as her love Kristoff was already in the room waiting for her as he said "Anna what is going on? Where is your sister Elsa? I know you told one of the guards to meet me here, but" Kristoff looked down to see Prince Niko as he spoke again "Ah why is Niko all blue and stuff." Anna looked back at him as she said "Elsa turned Niko into an ice spirit, and my sister is in this stone. Anna walked up to Kristoff to show him as to where her sister is in the ice stone heart. Kristoff looked back at Anna as he spoke sadly "Oh Anna I'm so sorry, but I don't understand how Niko got this way." Anna explained everything as to what happened to her poor nephew; and when she got done Kristoff spoke sadly "Poor guy, he probably thought that Mandy was the one for him. But what are we going to do, if anyone finds out they'll tried to hurt him if" Anna looked at Kristoff in the eyes as she spoke in a serious tone "They'll never find out about this, because we are running way from here." Kristoff gasped as he said "You mean leave Arendella for good! But someone needs to take care of the people in this land, and your nephew might have to be that" Anna toke his hand as she said "We have no choice; my sister had to turn Niko into a spirit. Because if she didn't that demon or whatever you call it would have gotten to him. I know that there has to be someone to take care of this land, but I made a promise to my sister that I would protect him and that is exactly what I'm going to do. So are you going to help me or not" Kristoff looked at her kindly as he replied back with "You know that I'll follow you were ever you go Anna." Anna and Kristoff hugged as then they hear someone behind them say "Oh hello guys, how's everyone doing? Oh my the young prince is an" Anna and Kristoff looked over to see that it was no other then Olaf who was in the room with them. Anna took Olaf by the stick and went over to the other side of the room as Kristoff toke Niko on his shoulders to carry him out of the palace.

After explaining everything to Olaf, Anna started to feel tired and weak as she started to follow Kristoff to sorted places where the people couldn't find them. Olaf spoke sadly "Why did Elsa have to go, oh why" Anna turned around as she whispered out "Olaf, please be quiet. We don't want the guards to hear us, and besides I don't think that my sister is dead." Kristoff spoke in a worried tone as he continued to walk with Niko now on his reindeer Sven's back "Anna I know you want to believe that Elsa is still alive but" Anna looked up as she was walking behind him as she said "I know she's alive, I don't know how to explain it but I do. I can feel it and she's telling me that we're doing the right thing" Anna holds up the ice stone that is shaped like a heart and holds it up to her chest. As then they all finally got to a clearing and stopped for a while to rest from their long trip. Anna looked at her nephew as she wished so much to change his fate, but she knew that she didn't have any powers to save him. As then Niko woke up as he spoke in a sleepy tone "Mother? Mother where are you" as then Anna spoke sweetly "Niko sweetheart, your mother is well you see it's hard to explain." Niko looked to where his aunt was talking at as he said "Aunt Anna what are you doing here, wait why are we outside? Where is my mother, and why do I feel cold?" As then Anna goes on to tell poor Niko as to what happened to Elsa and him as well as to why they are in the forest right now.

After Anna gets done telling Niko everything; things started to happen to Niko when Anna got done, and none of it was good. First off Niko looked up at his aunt as he said "She left me then" Anna got up as she said "No, Niko she didn't, told you that she is in this stone in my hand" Anna was about to show Niko but he looked away. Niko got very angry as he said "No she left me, and cursed me to become a monster! If they want a monster, then I'll give it to them" as then Niko got off Sven and landed on his feet. Niko then held up his hand as he closed his eyes and that is when his staff came to him. Then then next thing that happened was that Niko used his staff to form an icy path and started to disappear from his aunt and her friends. Anna sighed as she looked at Kristoff as she said "I don't know what to do. I've never seen Niko act like that before" as then Kristoff got up from where he was and went up to Anna. Kristoff spoke kindly "Anna, don't worry he just needs some time to think things through. How about we try to find a place or clearing we can use to make something like that." As then Anna felt a something in her gut telling her to go up to the mountain, and place the stone on the ground. She did what her gut had told her, and placed the stone on the ground.

As then with the help of her sister's magic the snow swirled around and out of nowhere an icy palace formed right in front of them. Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf all knew that this was going to be their new home now. Anna along with everyone else they looked around the palace to see what was in there all thanks to Elsa's powers from within the stone. Anna looked up as she said "Thank you Elsa" as then she felt the stone beat. She knew that it was her sister telling her that she heard her, and that everything would be alright as then everyone started to settle down into the palace that was built.

After many years of keeping Niko in line Anna finally watched Niko change before her very eyes. She knew that this was what was going to happen, and now she had to do something. She went down the stairs and into a special room where a large pillar resides. There she stood as she spoke "Elsa I need to talk to you" as then Elsa appeared in the pillar in front of Anna. Anna looked at her sister as she said "Niko has become very cold and distant lately. Elsa I don't know what to do now, he's been so angry lately that we don't know what to do. I want to tell him that you're here and everything" as then Elsa spoke in an echo "Anna you can't tell him yet, he's not ready to know yet. Once he finds his one true love then his heart will melt and know the true meaning of love. Please just hang in there, I know it may look tuff but I have a feeling" as then Anna turned around when she heard a sound from a far as Anna said "Elsa hurry and go I think it might be Niko." As Elsa disappeared Niko came in with a cold look on his face when he said coldly "Who were you talking to Auntie Anna?" Anna walked up to him as she said "Well I was talking to your mother as if she was here" that is when Niko snapped as he yelled at Anna "My bitch of a mother left me, she's not here anymore so stop talking about her or talking to her like she's here!" Anna yelled back at him with "You have no right saying something like that about your mother, my sister like that. Niko don't" but sadly Niko wasn't thinking he gotten so angry that he used his staff and through his ice magic at his aunt. All of the sudden Anna started to disappear from Niko's sight and appear in the pillar in front of him.

Niko looked up as he started to see what he had done, and cried out "Auntie Anna I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to. I have I done; now I'm all alone." As then Niko fell to the floor of his palace and started to cry. Anna spoke sweetly "Niko it's okay, we'll find away and I will never leave you alone. We will always be with you." Niko could only give his aunt a sad smile as he got up and said as he left the room "Yeah, I guess you're right I'll still have you and Uncle Kristoff with Olaf too." Niko left the room as Anna start to hope and wish that her words rang true to what she said knowing that there will always be something could go wrong.

End of Remembering the Past

Niko looked up to see that his aunt was looking at him as he said "What are you looking at?" Anna replied back with "Nothing" as she walked away to go do what she had said earlier to tell Abbey's father where Abbey was at as Niko started to wonder what exactly did his aunt was thinking. While Niko was left thinking Abbey had slept in one of the room that Niko had put her, and there she slept until the next day came.
