Chapter 7: Let the healing begin

Abbey woke up to see that she was still in her room at Niko's palace as she got out of bed. She walked up to the door to the balcony of the room she was staying in and walked out to the fresh air. Abby stood there thinking to only to herself 'Why did I act like that to all of my friends like that? I could have hurt or worst killed them for no reason, and why did I have that dream about my father like that? I don't understand these things.' All of the sudden Niko was right behind her as he said "How did you sleep?" Abbey turned around as she said "I slept okay" as she looked back at the beautiful scenery of the snow on the hills, trees, and the mountains in the distance. She could feel Niko sneak his arms around her as he just held her.

After a while of looking at the scenery Niko whispered into Abbey's ear with "Why don't we go for a walk? I think that the fresh air will do the both of us good" as then Abby could only look at him sweetly as he took her hand and followed him through his palace. As then they were both outside walking through the snow that capped the hills that they were on. Abbey noticed how beautiful the scenery looked as she said "Niko thank you for taking me out on a walk. The scenery is so beautiful, and I feel" Niko walked up behind her as he hugged her in his arms as he finished to what she said "At peace. I know how it feels Abbey to be in trammel with yourself with what has happen to you. I always come out here to get some peace of mind." Abbey placed her head against his shoulder as they took in everything with the sounds of the wind, the echoing of the valley, and the serene of the nature that both Niko and Abbey were having.

At Niko's Palace

Anna walked up to the balcony of the first floor as she looked over to where Niko and Abbey went. She sighed at the thought of how her nephew was making this girl feel at peace of what has happened to her. As then she heard a voice coming from behind her saying "So do you think that everything will be okay? I mean Abbey was really upset from what Niko told us" Anna turned around to see that Kristoff was standing in the door way smiling at her. Anna walked up to him as she hugged him as she said "I have to believe that everything will be okay, and I think what Niko is doing for Abbey is a good thing. She needs to be at peace with what happen to her father, and maybe this will lead into something." Anna could feel Kristoff sigh as well as he said "Then let us just hope that it will be a good thing and not a bad thing."

Back in the woods of the hills

Niko let Abbey relax just for a bit; the fact that this scenery was helping her forget what had transpire from her father, to the fact that she had almost hurt her ghoul friends. He looked into her eyes as he saw the twinkle of light in them that showed that she had light in them. That it was as if she had forgotten everything that would hurt her anymore. Abbey looked into his eyes as she too saw the same thing that he had seen in her the light had glisten in them she smiled at him as he did with her. It was then that they had kissed for the second time; it was very passionate and very loving as they kissed for a long time until they got some air. Abbey sighed out "Niko, I don't know how to say this" as then Niko said "It's okay I already know. I feel it to when I'm near you right now." Abbey laid her head on to Niko's chest as she heard his heart beating; she looked up to at him as she said "You're heart is beating" Niko looked at her shocked as he said "What's happening to me." It was then that Niko fell to the ground and Abbey caught him as she yelled out "No please don't leave me" as then a little snowman had appeared in front of them saying "Hi I'm Olaf, and I like warm hugs. Oh Prince Niko are you okay? You look sick" as then Abbey looked at the snowman oddly but only for the moment as she said "Can you take us back to the palace? We need to find Miss Anna" as if her prayers were answered a woman magically appeared and with her snow magic made Niko and Abbey disappear from Olaf's sight. Olaf turned around to see that it was no other then Elsa saving her son again. Olaf smiled at her sadly as he watched her disappear again knowing all too well that a mother would never abandon her own son.

Back at Niko's Palace

Anna and Kristoff walked back into the room to see that Abbey and Niko had just appeared in the room. Abbey looked up while holding Niko as she said "Please help him" as then Anna ran over to see what was wrong as she said to Abbey "Tell me what happened to Niko" that is when Abbey told Anna everything. Anna only smiled as she said "Abbey, Niko is okay dear. You see his heart has been thou; it's because of your love for him. Not only that but he admitted that he loves you and for that he has warmth in him now.

Abbey looked at Niko as she said "I can't lose you Niko please come back to me" as then Abbey watched as Niko's face features softened as he looked up as he said "I hope that I didn't scare you" Abbey could only hugged him as he just held her while Kristoff and Anna just watched as everything was unfolding right before their eyes.

The Next Day (Funeral Day)

Abbey was getting ready for her father's funeral; she looked in the mirror as she remembered what Niko had said to her last night, and she knew he was right when he said it. Niko sat at her bed side as he said "Abbey I just want you to know that I will be right by your side. I won't let you do this alone, and your friends will be there with you as well." Abbey smiled to herself as she looked at her now black gown with lace going through it, and that Anna gave her a vale as she placed it on her head. Abbey then walked out of her room as she noticed that Niko was standing there waiting for her as he said "Shall we" Abbey only nodded to him as she walked with him to the lobby of his palace. There waiting for them was Anna and Kristoff as they went outside of the palace. Abbey noticed that her father's coffin was there as Gil, Deuce, and Clawed bowed to Abbey as they picked up the coffin and carried it. As then all of Abbey's friends came to help her mourn the death of her father as everyone followed the men up the hill.

When they finally got to the top the men placed the coffin down in the hole that was provided for them. Abbey walked up to the coffin as she said "Dear father of mine, I know that even though you have passed and are not physically here with me right now. But I know that you will always be here with me in spirit, and I love you dearly. But now is the time for me to be healed, and I know that is what you want me to do" as then Abbey placed a white rose with blue tips at the end of it on her father's coffin and went back to her friends as well as her new family. Niko put his hand on her shoulder as Abbey looked at him with a smile knowing that everything would be alright. As then everyone left the site of the coffin and headed back to the palace. All except one; a mysterious person came out of the shadows to see the coffin in the hole. She smirked at the dead body as she said "Now let the games begin, and to think that your daughter Abbey is the one who stole his heart. This should be fun" as then the person disappeared from sight knowing fully well that the two lovely couple wouldn't last long from her wraith.
