Chapter 16 A Push Part 1
The sun was just poking its way out through a thick layer of clouds which had rolled in overnight along with a the rain. Deep inside the jinchūriki ghetto Sakura Haruno felt a hand on her shoulder a second before it started moving shaking her awake.
"What is it?" asked a half asleep Sakura as she opened her green silted eyes, she followed the arm which had woken her up only to see that it passed over Naruto before reaching its owner Ino. "Ino you better have good reason to wake me up?"
"Look." answered Ino as she gestured toward the man sleeping in between them. Sometime during the night Naruto had returned and had fallen asleep in between both of them. Naruto was lying face down with his arms spread out one on each of them. Naruto was muttering something in between breaths as he moved a little deeper into the pillow. Sakura couldn't but smile as her heart warmed as she moved to wake him up only to have her arm snatched out midair by Ino.
"What?" whispered Sakura
"Don't you want to know what he is dreaming about?" asked Ino
"Which is why I am going to wake him up and ask." explained Sakura as Ino rolled her eyes before releasing Sakura's hand.
"And you call Naruto-kun the baka." expressed Ino as she ran though hand signs as she gathered chakra into her right hand as she offered her left hand to Sakura. Sakura took in as Ino placed her right hand and placed it on the back of Naruto's head. Instantly everything changed and Sakura found herself standing in the middle of a well forest with a perfectly cut grass, the smell of fresh wild flowers filled her nose. A stone path moved down the center of what was becoming a park with a swing set and a small wooden bridge over an even smaller creak.
"Where are we?" asked Sakura as suddenly Naruto along with different versions of both of them appeared from behind a rather large oak tree. All three of them where slightly older maybe three to five years but considering demons age two times slower than humans meant it could be six or even ten years in time. She was dressed in a long red dress which was wrapped around tightly around her chest before losing up around her waist. The dress had a deep cut which ran up her left leg all the way to her knee showing her black knee high boots. Her hair was also long reaching down to her shoulder blades.
"Inside Naruto's dream." explained Ino as she studied her dream version of herself, who was dressed in a sleeveless purple tank top with a dress which ended around her knees. She had on some rather impressive high heels which made sounds as they walked down a stone path. Her hair was pulled back into her traditional pony tail, all three of them where holding hands as they walked through the forest. "Ok I was kind of expecting a strip club or something, not a walk in the park."
"What is wrong with a walk in the park?" asked Sakura
"Nothing I just was expecting something sexier in his dreams. Shikamaru's dream was more wild then this when I went inside it." explained Ino "I mean we both look drop dead hot and so is Naruto-kun but a walk isn't that sexy. You know you should grow your hair out again, it would look good on you and clearly Naruto likes his vixens to have long hair."
"Wait you went into Shikamaru's dream?" asked Sakura confused at the reason why she would go into his dream.
"I had to practice on someone." explained Ino "And I saw something I didn't want to see."
"What?" asked Sakura as her interests peaked up.
"Let's say Shikamaru and Temari where playing chess." explained Ino
"What is wrong with that?" asked Sakura confused.
"It was strip chess." added Ino as Sakura's eyes widened.
Before Sakura could answer two more figures came running around the path which Naruto, Ino and herself had just appeared from. The two figures were both maybe five or six years old, both of them where girls one with deep red hair with some pink highlights running though her long hair and the other had blonde hair a shade somewhere in between Naruto's and Ino's hair color. The two girls rushed past the three of them before running toward the largest and nearest tree. Both of them instantly started climbing up the tree.
"Be careful?" yelled dream Sakura as blonde haired little girl who had climbed the highest she could swung down her hair draping over her face.
"Oh calm down Sakura-chan." laughed Naruto
"Ya, mom calm down." yelled the child which clearly was Naruto's and Ino's daughter to Sakura.
"They both act like you when you were a kid Naruto-kun." added dream Ino as the three of them watched their daughter's play in the warm sunlight.
"Ah…that is so cute." expressed Ino "But I am still slightly confused."
"It's what Naruto-kun always wanted…" explained Sakura as Ino looked at her "A family."
Only a few building away from the three of them the weapon master of the Leaf Village, Tenten was waking up. She could feel hot breaths on her chest as she opened her eyes only to see that her fiancée and teammate Neji had fallen asleep using his favorite pillow to rest his head, her breasts. She couldn't help but smile as she watched the normally hardline ninja was fast asleep. She lifted her hand out from under Neji before she began running her hand through his long black hair.
Flashback Two Years ago
"So you and Neji have finally started going out?" asked Ino Yamanaka as she and Tenten sat under a tree on some unnamed island in water country. The two of them had been sent forward along with a dozen ninjas from the Kirigakure. Their mission was to scout the island to use as possible look out point for pirate attacks against war time shipping.
"Yes." answered Tenten with a smile knowing what was coming from her 20 year old friend.
"About time, however I just have two questions." added Ino "How can you stand all that hair, sorry but when a guy's hair is longer than mine there is something wrong."
"I like it and its part of his clan." explained Tenten "Besides when my hair isn't in buns I have long hair too."
"Ok, every woman has their own taste. Hell I didn't know what I was really looking for until I dated Sai and found out what I didn't want." explained Ino as Tenten raised an eyebrow "Let's say I wanted I thought I wanted dark, serious and handsome but now I know I want someone fun, bright and handsome."
"Alright." said Tenten not wanting to say who had all three of those traits
"My second question is how Neji convince his clan's council to allow him to date you? I mean no offense you two are perfect for each other maybe even soul mates but we all know the Hyuga clan doesn't care about soul mates." explained Ino as Tenten shrugged her shoulders.
"It was easier then you think, my uncle and father run the best weapon shop and forge in the world." Explained Tenten, she had grown up around weapons since she was born. One of her first memories was watching her father hammer out a sword, she herself had made some of her weapons in her pack. "On top of that my skills make me a fine addition to the Hyuga clan powerbase if Neji and I do get married."
"I see." said Ino as she nodded her head.
End Flashback
"So your family is in the weapon making business?" asked Tenten's demon Dee as Tenten closed her eyes only to come face to face with the demon cheetah with deep golden yellow fur and black spots.
"Yes." confirmed Tenten as she looked at the demon
"Perfect." added Dee with a smile as she showed off her teeth in a smile "See before we were sealed away, I was a metallurgist and the head of the main government forge."
"Really?" asked Tenten as her interest peaked.
"We will talk more later I think you two better get going who knows what shit is going to hit the fan today." Explained Dee as Tenten opened her eyes only to find herself back in the room with Neji still asleep on her chest.
"Neji-kun….Neji-kun." Whispered Tenten into Neji's ear as slowly he opened his eyes.
"What?" asked a half asleep Neji
"Time to get up my love." explained Tenten as Neji slowly got up and started getting ready for the day.
Inside the same building as Tenten and Neji and only five floors up was Naruto's cousin Karin Uzumaki. She was standing in only her underwear in front of a half broken full body mirror, in her hands was the diamond and rubies necklace she had woken up with.
"It's my mother's grandmother, grandmother's." explained Sasuke as he watched Karin play with the necklace which rested in between her breasts. "So four generations back."
"So it's been in your mother's family for almost a hundred years or so." confirmed Karin knowing that a generation was around 20 to 25 years or so long.
"If not longer." added Sasuke as he lied on the bed, Karin turned toward him before strutting toward her lover ready to give him something in return. Sasuke couldn't help but grin as this half naked red haired woman crawled on top of him.
"How about I give you something and pick up where we left off yesterday." offered Karin as she ran her figures down Sasuke's chest.
"As much as I hate to admit it, I am still sore from everything we did yesterday." admitted Sasuke as he thought about what to do with Karin "Why don't we wait until tonight and you surprise me with something?"
"Oh…I will surprise you Sasuke-kun." expressed Karin with a grin as she kissed him softly on his lips before pulling back. Only to suddenly stop as her eyes widened.
"What is it?" asked Sasuke as he looked up at Karin, she had closed her eyes as she stood as still as possible. "You sense someone don't you?"
"There is a large group of jinchūriki come our way." Explained Karin as she focused her sensing ability trying to figure out what was going on. "I can't know for sure but I would have to say around 500 people heading our way at a distance 300 of them jinchūriki."
"It isn't like you not to know that." Expressed Sasuke
"Well the addition of demon chakra has increased my sensing range, I can't tell how far until I get used to it full." explained Karin, she half expected Sasuke to yell at her for not knowing. Sasuke just shrugged a bit.
"Oh well we will learn what is going on soon enough." Expressed Sasuke as he stood up stretching a bit.
Even as couples where waking up all over the village it was already turning into another day of hell for their Kage. There were reports not only from the ninja teams out in the field doing regular missions but the troubling reports where the last three reports. The first was one she had expected to see when she got into the office this morning, the movement of the jinchūriki from all over the land of fire heading to the Leaf village. The problem were originally not to arrive until tomorrow when they cleared out that other housing district, at the moment they had over 2480 people coming toward the village all of whom the council would want walled off along with the 4558 who were already crammed into an area not meant to hold more than 2,000 souls.
"Well it is only one day before we are ready to move them into the other housing area." stated Temari to herself as she sat behind her desk. She placed that report down and turned to the next document on her table.
It was a message from the Daimyo explaining that he was planning to arrive in the village within three days and that the moment he arrives she was to call the council to an emergency meeting to discuss the Jinchūriki issue. She reread the message multiple times before placing the message aside to deal with later, at the moment the major issue was the last reports coming out of lightening country.
"This is horrible." expressed Tsunade as she tried to make sense out of the different reports coming out of lightening country mostly out of Kumogakure. A knock at the office door caused the Hokage to look up from her paperwork.
"Enter." ordered Tsunade
"Lady Tsunade the first group of demons are arriving." Stated an aid as he walked in only to get a death glare from the first female Hokage in history. "Sorry Ma'am I mean jinchūriki."
"Make sure it doesn't happen again." Ordered Tsunade as she stood up making sure to pick up her Hokage's uniform as she walked out the door. As she made her way out of the Hokage's building she came across two people she didn't want to see.
"Morning Lady Hokage." greeted the village council member Homura as he stood beside his former teammate and fellow Council member Koharu.
"Morning." Responded Tsunade as she placed her Hokage's hat on her head.
"If I may ask where are you going Lady Hokage?" asked Koharu
"I am going to go talk to the people we have locked up and welcome those we are now locking up with them." explained Tsunade as she started to make her way out the door.
"Allow us to join you." expressed Koharu as she and Homura joined their Kage as they headed toward the housing area where the jinchūriki where.
"When will the new housing area be cleared out?" asked Tsunade as she looked toward the five massive 15 stories apartment buildings which were located only a few yards away from where the jinchūriki where being held. Those buildings where low income housing apartments and where supposed to be torn down and replaced within a year, however now they were going to be used for housing jinchūriki. "Because we already have way too many people locked up in a small area, if we don't start giving them room then we will have a lot more riots on our hands."
"The area is already cleared of villagers however the owner of the apartment complexes want some time to look over a few things." explained Koharu
"What is doing?" asked Tsunade enraged that the movement of thousands of people were being held up by one man who wanted to look over a few things.
"I do not know, however they are his buildings he can do with them as he pleases." Explained Homura as they headed down one of the main streets. Suddenly a large group of people came around a bend in the road. Most of the people were dressed in dirty cloths and they looked like they hadn't eaten anything in a long time. Some had untreated wounds with dried blood scabbed over it.
"Looks like the first group of jinchūriki from the outlining villages have arrived." stated Koharu as the sorry mass of humanity moved past then under heavy guard.
"Burn in hell demons we don't want you!" yelled a little boy maybe eight or nine years old as he throwing pebbles at the people hitting a little girl about his own age right above her eye.
"Stop that." yelled a nearby woman as she grabbed the boy before leading him away however the damage was done as blood started to flow from a wound above her eye. Tsunade heart broke as the little girl placed her hand over the wound before looking at the older woman beside her likely her mother.
"Why mommy?" asked the girl her mother picked her up and held her close as they kept walking tears in both of their eyes.
"What happened to these people?" demanded Tsunade to the closest ninja.
"Lady Hokage, the local escorts handed them over like this." explained the ninja
"And why didn't you treat their wounds?" demanded Tsunade
"I tried to Lady Tsunade but I was ordered not to by the mission commander." explained the ninja "As she said we didn't have orders to treat wounds, our orders where to put them with the rest of the jinchūriki."
"I need you to rush over to the hospital and get every doctor and nurse who isn't doing anything important down here to treat their wounds and then I want some of our food stores brought up." Ordered Tsunade
"Lady Tsunade those food stores are in case of emergency." stated Koharu
"And what do you call this!" demanded Tsunade as more and more people just kept coming around the corner in worst most in worst shape then the person in front of them.
Unaware of the hundreds of hundreds of injuries who were now walking toward their prison home, Naruto finally opened his blue eyes only to see the white cloth from his pillow. Slowly he rolled over only to be greeted by a sight that only days ago would have seen impossible. Looking down at him where a pair of green eyes and a pair of blue eyes.
"Morning you two." said Naruto as both Ino and Sakura smiled at him tenderly. "What did I do something?"
"Never mind." explained Sakura
"What time is it?" asked Naruto as he noticed the amount of sun coming out from the side of the sheet which was their current door.
"Around 9:30" explained Ino as she looked toward her watch which lied near her sleeping cat Isis who had spent the night sleeping close to her owner.
"9:30?" asked Naruto as he moved to get up only to have both women place a hand on his chest holding him down "I was supposed to meet with Temari and Kakashi at 8:30."
"Calm down Naruto-kun." expressed Ino "This place isn't going to fall down because you slept in, I am sure Temari and Kakashi took care of it for you."
"Still." added Naruto as suddenly the sound of rushing footsteps came from outside.
"What is going on?" asked Sakura
"We better get dressed and find out." added Naruto as all three of them quickly dressed, none of them paying any attention to the fact that they were now changing cloths together as if it was nothing. It took only a few minutes for all three of them finish getting dressed before walking outside to see a mass of people heading toward the main gate.
"Please don't let it be another riot." expressed Ino as the three of them quickly made their way toward the main gate only to see a massive number of people gathered around another group of people who were all injured in some way or another.
"What happened?" demanded Sakura as she moved to help the closest injured person.
"We were attacked." explained the woman as Sakura healed her.
"By who?" asked Naruto as he gave his canteen full of water to one of the few men in the crowd.
"By our neighbors." explained another woman "And the local cops which took us from our homes by force."
"And they call us the monsters?" yelled a man from the ever growing crowd which was amassing around the wounded people being marched into the prison camp.
"Lady Tsunade." yelled Ino as she noticed the Hokage being flanked by Homura and Koharu.
"What happened to these people!" yelled Naruto as he got into Tsunade's face. For a moment Tsunade was actually afraid of the young man in front of her.
"I am sorry Naruto I didn't know about this until a few minutes ago." explained Tsunade "I already have doctors and food coming."
"And do you think that will make up for everything else you people did!" yelled another voice in the crowd.
"Everyone calm down we are trying to do the best that we can." Expressed Tsunade as she looked at the massive number of angry people who had been unfairly imprisoned in a ghetto. All along the walls ninjas where getting into combat positions as they prepared for the possibility of yet another riot. Moving to protect their Hokage an ANBU team quickly surrounded Tsunade in order to protect her.
"What about the riots you caused!" came dozens of voices from the ever growing mass of people.
"We didn't cause that riot, you demons did." Yelled the head of the ANBU team.
"I would beg to differ." added a voice as a black haired man with a large black trench coat and sunglass walked out the crowed. "My information leads to something else."
"You found something, Shino?" asked Naruto as everyone fell quiet as all eyes turned to the young man.
"Yes, Naruto as per yours and Lady Tsunade's orders I have contacted an investigation into the riot and at the moment everything points to the Leaf ninjas being the one behind the attack." expressed Shino as the crowd roared at the news.
"Are you trying to start a riot demon?" yelled Homura
"We will stay calm if you let him speak!" came a voice from the crowed as the people started to calm down a bit as they waited for Shino to speak.
"Go on Shino, better for everyone to hear what you know at the same time." Ordered Naruto as Shino took a breath.
"The information is still not all in however my insects have overheard the guards discussing operation Fox Trap." explained Shino as the council member's eyes widened that someone had learned about that operation.
"Operation what?" asked Tsunade "I have never seen any reports about an operation by that name."
"Because the council not the Hokage who ordered it." explained Homura as everyone looked at him. "However that operation was only a tactical study."
"On what?" asked Sakura
"On how best to put down an uprising by the jinchūriki population." explained Koharu as the crowed once again became angry only to be calmed down by a simply look from Naruto "Included in the report was how an uprising would start."
"Let me guess a riot was one of those ways?" asked Sakura
"Correct but a study doesn't mean we did it." added Koharu but her words meant nothing to the crowd
"That is correct however at the moment I have no information that points toward someone within this camp of being behind the riots." Explained Shino as he looked at Naruto "Sorry sir, but all the evidence points toward the village council being behind the riot."
"So you started the riots so that you kill us all?" yelled the growing numbers of jinchūriki
"Everyone!" yelled Naruto as instantly everyone's eyes were on him "Don't prove them right by rioting, we are better than that."
For a moment nothing happened then slowly one by one people began to leave the sense in peace.
"He is right." Muttered a few
"Damn humans." Cursed even more as the crowed broke up leaving only the wounded and a handful of others.
"Good work Naruto." Expressed Tsunade as Naruto hung his head in shame as only a few doctors and food supplies arrived. To the amazement of Tsunade the injured refused help from the leaf doctors instead only trusting Sakura and jinchūriki doctors where arriving to help.
"Lady Tsunade we are in trouble here." expressed Naruto as he looked at Tsunade "We are at the end of our rope here, we can't keep everyone locked up here and if conditions get any worst there will be another riot if not something worst."
"Naruto if we work together we can keep that from happening." pleaded Tsunade as she looked at Naruto, he didn't look like himself it was as if hope had left him.
"Lady Hokage, for the moment I think you should leave and let me handle things here." Expressed Naruto as Tsunade slowly looked down.
"Alright Naruto but I have to tell you something first." added Tsunade "I would wait to tell you but you would be even more angry if I waited. We have reports coming out of Lightening country of a coup A and Killer B are believed to have killed in the uprising."
Naruto's eyes widened at the news but he said nothing as his mind tried to process the news that the hero of lightening country had been killed by his own people. Finally after a long time he spoke up.
"Thanks Lady Hokage." said Naruto as Tsunade nodded her head before she and the other ANBU left the compound locking the gates behind them.
"Naruto-kun I am so sorry." expressed Sakura knowing how much Killer B meant to him as Ino placed her hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"It's ok, I have to focus on the issues facing us." explained Naruto.
"When everyone hears about this they will demand action." explained Shino as some of his other friends who had been in the crowed came up to him.
"I know." admitted Naruto as he looked at his friends as he put up a strong front but it was clear to his friends that he was hurting. "Temari I need that report on our defensive offitons and anything else you can think of."
"You will have it within the hour." Confirmed Temari as she looked at the massive amounts of ninjas who where manning the wall, she didn't want to say it but everyone including Naruto knew that their position was all undefendable.
"What about us anything for us?" asked Shikamaru
"Help the wounded and try to find room for them." Ordered Naruto as he looked at the around five hundred new jinchūriki "We supposed to have around 2,500 more people coming."
"Understood." stated Sai as he looked at his friend it was clear that a lot was on the young man's mind.
"Naruto, we may need to…." started Kiba only to get a glare from his friend stopping him mid-sentence.
"Let's meet and discuss everything when I finish my report in an hour." offered up Temari
"Make it an hour and half." Ordered Naruto as he turned and started walking away "I need to think."
Ino started after him only to get a hand on her shoulder stopping her in mid step.
"He needs to think." explained Sakura as both of them watched Naruto walk away with his hands in his pockets, his white with orange flames around the bottom clock moving in the light wind.
"Alright what do you need me to do?" asked Ino as Sakura looked around, the few doctors they had in the camp hadn't arrived yet and the injured jinchūriki where refusing the help of the doctors Tsunade had brought.
"I need you to go check out the injured and short them by need." ordered Sakura as she noticed Karin and Sasuke had arrived. "Karin I need your help here."
"Alright." answered the former head medical researcher for the sound. She moved past Sakura and Ino toward the other end of the new arrivals. She focused in on a woman about her same age who was sitting on the ground with a large amount of dried blood covering her left leg.
"Hello I am Karin and I am going to check you up." explained Karin as the woman looked up at her with deep brown eyes.
"Karin?" asked the woman as Karin looked at the woman.
"Ah…it's you." Said Karin as she remembered the woman from the time she had been with Sasuke when they got supplies before going after Itachi "Tamaki right?"
"Yes." answered Tamaki as Karin started healing the wound on the leg.
"What happened to you?" asked Karin
"I asked for some water and I got a baton to my knee cap." explained Tamaki
"And all you have is a cut?" asked Karin as she finished healing the wound.
"Well Chika has been focusing on the broken bone caused by the baton." Explained Tamaki as Karin's eyes widened at the name. Chika, was Sasuke's demon Katsu second mate.
Naruto didn't know where he was walking to or how long he had been walking however soon he found himself walking down one of the side streets as suddenly another person started walking beside him.
"What do you want?" asked Naruto as turned his head toward his former teammate who was now walking beside him.
"Just to talk." Answered Sasuke "I heard that we had some injured people come in and I wanted to see how you were doing?"
"Ok, what do you really want?" asked Naruto as he stopped and glared at his former friend.
"To see if you have finally realized the truth and are ready to admit what needs to be done." explained Sasuke as he placed his hands in the pockets of his black cloak. Naruto lowered his head as Sasuke smiled a bit. "I see you have finally started to come to terms with the fact that this village is no longer your home and we need to leave."
Naruto said nothing as he looked around at the conditions that surround him, the streets where dirty, the water was barely drinkable, little power and all their food came from the food tent. They were over crowed with most people having to shove two or three families into a single room only a handful including himself had single rooms. Then there was Killer B, if his village could turn on him and kill him then the Leaf could do the same to all of them.
"I know you better then you know yourself Naruto, you are not ready to admit it out load but deep down you know we need to leave." stated Sasuke as with a grin before turning to leave "Until that day comes I will just having fun watching you fight against yourself."
Now I hope you liked this chapter, I know some people are unhappy that I killed Killer B however I needed him to die early in my story so that it helps Naruto realized that everything has changed.
