Chapter 31 A New Day Part 2
The front door of the Daimyo mansion opened up allowing Ino, Sakura and Naruto to enter the house standing there by the brown haired young woman.
"Lady Ino, you're early." greeted the former aid of the past daimyo who now worked for Ino.
"Yes, speeches get me hungry." explained Ino as she greeted her aid with a smile on her face "Mai could you do me a favor."
The aid smiled at the fact that Ino would use her name instead of just calling her the old Daimyo used to do.
"Of course Lady Ino, anything." confirmed Mai with a warm smile on her face.
"Could you tell Chef Siu that I am having an early lunch and if he could have something simple ready in half an hour I would appreciate it." said Ino as Mai nodded her head. "I am thinking a nice tomato soup and some grilled cheese sandwiches."
"Yes, Lady Ino I will have your and your guests lunch prepared as soon as possible." Confirmed Mai as she ran off toward the kitchen as Sakura and Naruto traded glances.
"What?" asked Ino as she looked at the two of them.
"You have aids?" asked Sakura as Ino shrugged her shoulders.
"They are manly leftovers from the former Daimyo's staff and I have been so busy I with everything having them around is just nice." explained Ino as she led the two of them into the small dining room located just off the kitchen with a small circler wooden table, quickly the three of them sat down. "So what did Hinata do?"
"Why don't you link our minds again, it may be easier." offered up Sakura as Ino nodded her head as she ran though hand signs before grabbing Naruto's and Sakura's hands. Instantly they found themselves inside a large stone room which wasn't even a real room but instead was a shared space between their three minds.
"So are we going to talk about it now?" asked Ino as she crossed her arms over her chest as another figure appeared beside her. The figure was the demon fox who had joined with her, Lydia. The seven tailed vixen with warm lavender and white fur sat down beside Ino as she looked at Naruto and Sakura. Within moments Sakura's red and white vixen demon Aella appeared beside her as the Kyuubi appeared beside Naruto.
"Alright basically Hinata and her demon, Miki informed us that they want to join us." explained Aella
"So we are already knew that." stated Ino as Lydia nodded her head.
"Do you remember the fact that there is a law saying you have to have three mates." added the Kyuubi as Ino's and Lydia's eyes widened at the news.
"And Hinata wants to be that third mate." explained Naruto
"I see." stated Ino "So are we going to add her in or not?"
"Well that is the thing, Sakura doesn't really trust her." explained Naruto
"I don't really trust Miki either." added Aella "But I do like the idea Naruto came up with to maybe solve this problem."
"And what is that?" inquired Ino as she looked toward Naruto.
"I believe that the best way to get to know Hinata and Miki is to give them a chance and go on a few dates with her." explained Naruto "Then once we have more information we can decide what to do."
"I do like that idea." confirmed Ino as Sakura looked at the ground as she prepared to speak up.
"Personally I don't understand how a four way relationship is supposed to work." explained Naruto as he placed his hands behind his back as the two women looked at him slightly surprised.
"Your Jiraiya's student and you don't know how a four way works?" inquired Sakura as she crossed her arms as she looked at Naruto "Hell we beat Kakashi's second bell test because you helped Jiraiya write his book by being a proof reader so you knew what happened in them."
"I mean I know how the sex part works but a relationship isn't just sex." explained Naruto as a smile crossed both Ino's and Sakura's face. "And I am not sure how that part works."
"Basically it is a race." explained the Kyuubi to the blonde hair ninja beside him "And the goal is to be the first mate."
"And how does someone win?" inquired Ino as she placed her hand under her chin "Is it whoever gets married first?"
"In a way but Demons don't have marriage as you know it." reported Aella "A couple isn't married as you call it until a child is born, whoever has the first child is the first mate and so on. The birth of a son is seals the position as first."
"And since demons have three females to every male it is harder to have a son." stated Sakura as Aella nodded her head.
"Correct and whoever becomes 1st gets special perks, they decide sleeping schedule and are the head of the household." explained the Kyuubi
"Sleeping schedule?" asked Sakura already knowing what it likely meant but she wanted to be sure.
"Do you want to save every sexual moment with Ino and maybe Hinata or do you want one on one time with Naruto." explained Aella as Sakura nodded her head confirming that she wanted some one on one time with Naruto.
"Most nights the three of us sleep together but the first decides who gets one on one nights and how often." explained Lydia "That is why all demon households have at least two master bedrooms."
"Wouldn't the guy get a say?" inquired Naruto as Ino, Sakura, Aella and Lydia all turned toward him as the Kyuubi covered his face with one of his tails almost as if it was a face palm.
"I can't believe you asked that." whispered the Kyuubi to Naruto
"The guy gets multiple females who want to sleep with him, so no." stated Lydia as Naruto looked at the ground.
"Sorry." apologized Naruto
"Sounds somewhat complex." added Sakura "The first may strike back against another mate she doesn't like."
"There are rules and traditions to avoid that however our relationship has a side price when it comes to Ino and Lydia since they are the Daimyo only her children can inherit that title." explained Kyuubi as Ino and Lydia both smiled.
"So we are agreed we will give Hinata a chance to woo us?" asked Ino as Naruto, Sakura, Kyuubi and Aella nodded their heads confirming Ino's statement.
"Before we leave there is something I need to share." added Sakura as she looked at the ground in shame.
"What is it?" inquired Ino as Sakura turned her gaze toward her friend/lover.
"Before we left the Leaf I followed Sasuke into the basement of one of buildings and found your cousin Cain dead." Explained Sakura as Ino's and Naruto's eyes widened at the news.
"Sasuke killed my cousin?" asked Ino as Sakura shock her head.
"No, according to him Tamaki killed him because he almost raped her." explained Sakura as she took a breath "Then I helped him cover it up."
"Still to kill him, why not take it to Lady Tsunade?" inquired Naruto
"Naruto-kun I hate to say this about my cousin but the idea that he would rape someone isn't that surprising to me." admitted Ino as she remembered her cousin "He was a hound dog who sometimes couldn't take no for an answer, my uncle bailed him out of a lot of trouble involving him an some girls he picked up at a bar."
"Naruto I have a question what would you do if it was one of us who was almost rapped?" asked Sakura as Naruto looked at the ground.
"Honestly I would probably skin the person alive." admitted Naruto "So I guess I can't blame Sasuke for doing the same."
While Naruto, Sakura and Ino where having a little chat the first group of refugees from the Land of Fire was making their way across a makeshift bridge across the gap between the mainland and the island. The bridge was nothing more than a few earth style justus to make a land bridge between the two land masses. They had a quick bite to eat at the docks before moving up to the building sit of the new village before crossing the bridge.
"That food was surprising good." stated Karin as she Tamaki and Sasuke moved across the bridge in the first wave. "Then again it may have to do with the fact that it was the first truly hot meal we had in a while."
"The rice was overdone and don't even get me started on the sauce." stated Tamaki as Sasuke grinned a bit as he remembered when he visited her and her grandmother's house all those years ago. One of the highlights of that mission was the food Tamaki cooked for team seven. Sasuke chuckled as he noticed the slight glare between Karin and Tamaki.
"It's alright Karin-chan, cooking was never your thing just like combat isn't Tamaki-chan's." explained Sasuke
"He's right I was studying to become a chef when this whole thing started." Explained Tamaki with a smile "Come on we all have skills the others don't, I mean I am not a ninja like you two, so you two handle the fighting and I will make sure that whenever you come home there will be a freshly cooked meal. Deal?"
"Deal?" confirmed Karin with a smile.
"First we need a home." added Sasuke as they moved toward a tunnel which was cut into the mountains "But for some strange reason I have feeling that will come sooner than any of us expect."
"Sasuke-kun with hope, what have the world come to." laughed Karin as she took Sasuke's right arm while Tamaki took the left both of them resting their heads on his shoulder as the three of them moved onto the island together.
Far to the North a heavy almost monsoon level rain came crashing down just outside the reinforced glass of the casino in the island nation of Land of Fish. The rain was such a common event that no one paid it any mind as the gambled away inside the warm dry building. Walking into one of the main casino located beside the docks was the former Hokage of the village hidden in the Leaves Tsunade. Her cloak was soaked as she approached the marble countertop of the check-in counter.
"Can I help you?" inquired one of the perfectly dressed young woman behind the counter.
"I need a room." explained Tsunade as she lowered her traveling cloak "Preferably one of your long term stay rooms with a view of the port."
"Of course" said the worker as she tapped on a small computer, Tsunade knowing that each one of these casinos had long term rooms where a person which a person could rent out for a month or more "We have three long term stay rooms but only one of them has a view of the port."
"Fine." stated Tsunade
"It's a $975 a month plus any food you order from our room service." Reported the worker as Tsunade quickly paid for the whole month upfront. "Thank you and here are your keys, enjoy your stay."
"Thanks." Said Tsunade as she moved toward the elevator as the men who had been following her for days from the Land of fire entered the lobby.
"If they are a trail from the Leaf, they will get a room in the casino and then probably spend whatever money they have either at the tables or in the strip clubs." Thought Tsunade with a grin as the doors began to close "Once they are out of money I will make my get away and lose them."
While rain was falling over the former Hokage the current Hokage was standing on top of the Hokage building dressed in the bright red robes of her new office. Before her the streets where full of the citizens who's lives she had just sworn to protect. The crowd cheered as they looked up at the face of their new young Hokage with hopes in their eyes.
"Today a new era dawns." started Hanabi as the small microphone located in her color broadcasted her voice through loud speakers spread out all over the village. "We have come out of the long night of war and now we are entering an era in which all the nations of the world are living in peace. With any luck this generation who has seen too much battle will finally have piece."
The crowed cheered at the idea of total peace spreading across the world.
"However even though we can see the bright day of peace in front of us there are still clouds that must be removed." explained Hanabi as she took a deep breath "We still have to rebuild the world and a new threat has appeared a threat we never expected, Jinchūriki."
"While Jinchūriki's such as Naruto Namikaze were key in ending the war in our favor but they were also used by our enemies to start the war in the first place." Stated Hanabi "When it was discovered that there was now thousands of Jinchurikis in the world created from when demons forcedly joined with our own people. When we placed laws that would have prevented a war from being started by the Jinchūriki they betrayed us. They destroyed our walls and then ran and for that we will bring them to justice."
The crowd cheered even loader at the news that the Jinchūriki wouldn't get away, as Hanabi waved to the crowed as she moved back to where the rest of the village council was standing.
"Brief but good." confirmed her father as he smiled at his daughter turned Hokage as the party began.
Away from the Leaf village in the middle of the desert wasteland which made up the North West boarder of the land of Wind. Temari and a group of just over a thousand refugees rested in a small oasis which was surrounded on all sides by massive sand dunes.
"How is everyone doing?" inquired Temari as she moved among the people.
"Been better." said a woman as she dipped a small tin cup into the oasis's water.
"Don't worry I know every Oasis in the desert and we will stop in one every night and around noon to as we make our way down the coast to the Land of Savannah." Reported Temari with a smile "Most people just see this a lifeless wasteland not realizing that there are tons of small water springs spread out across the landscape."
"And what happens then?" inquired Kurotsuchi as she washed her blood soaked wrappings. The gash on her arm wasn't healing as fast as it normally would given that she was now a jinchūriki and since none of them had any real medical training to heal the wound all they could do was keep it clean and wrapped up.
"When I was in the Land of Bronze I bought time on some trains, they will be there waiting to bring us down to the land of Granite and your new home." explained Temari with a smile"Just like trains are waiting for the refugees from the sand when they left a few days ago."
"How can we be sure that the trains will be there?" inquired a man "Humans haven't really been that trust worthy right now."
"Well if the company wants the second half of their million dollar pay check then they will be there." stated Temari with a warm smile "Don't worry in the land of Bronze money is the most important thing. The trains will be there for us. Now drink up we leave in twenty minutes and we will not rest until tonight."
After a short lunch Naruto, Sakura and Ino left the Daimyo's house and joined the mass of people crossing the land bridge heading toward the island. Sakura felt nervous as she looked up at the towering dark mountains, quickly those mountains disappeared as they entered the tunnel. Naruto was amazed as he noticed that the once dark tunnel was now aglow with lights built into the sides it was no longer pitch dark.
"How did you get these working?" asked Naruto
"A generator." explained Ino as they keep moving "We hope to have the first of our new tidal force power generator in place within 10 days."
"Tidal force generator?" asked Sakura
"I'll explain later but we have been very, very busy around here. Ships coming and going at all hours with countless tons of supplies being unloaded." Added Ino as they kept walking through the tunnel.
"All that must cost a ton of money." Stated Sakura as Ino grinned "What?"
"Two of the storage rooms we found was filled with nothing but gold bars and gold coins." Explained Naruto "And that isn't even adding the silver."
"Also the old mine where they were in was actually a gold mine so once we finish building a village we can reopen it." added Ino with a smile "We have been very lucky so far, we have even found more storage areas in the mines but we are still importing only vitals goods right now."
For a while they just walked until finally they turned a corner as natural light replaced the artificial man made lights of the tunnel. For a moment the three of them just stood there looking out over the valley. Sakura had tears in her eyes as she looked at the rolling fields of green grass with patches of forests. Unlike before when Naruto and Ino had stood in the same spot it was clear that people lived here. There was two large ships sitting in the small bay at the far end of the valley unloading supplies, a massive tent city was located near a massive building site. To the east at the foot of the hills the land had been torn up as people started planting seeds for future farms.
"This is perfect." cried Sakura as tears of joy ran down her face.
"It isn't perfect yet, we have a lot to do but soon it will be." added Naruto as they moved into the valley below.
It took them a while but soon they found themselves in the mist of the massive tent city which was being constructed even as the village was being built. Finally the three of them entered the largest tent only to spot Konohamaru and Moegu sitting behind a folding table handing out supplies and assigning position in the city to the massive number of people who where entering the valley.
"Boss!" yelled Konohamaru as he looked toward his ideal.
"Hard at work Konohamaru?" asked Naruto with a grin as he fought the temptation to rub his head, however Konohamaru wasn't a little kid anymore but almost as tall as Naruto himself.
"Yes, Shikamaru gave us this job and told us to keep an eye out for you." reported Konohamaru "He said he wants to have a meeting with you?"
"When?" inquired Naruto
"How about now?" stated Shikamaru as Naruto looked up only to Shikamaru standing behind the two younger ninjas "Come on you three."
"Coming." Stated Ino as the three of them walked around the table and through a fabric barrier which split the tent into different rooms. The three of them entered the room only to see it packed to the brim with their friends, in the center of the room was a long five foot long folding plastic table.
"What is going on?" inquired Sakura
"Well this is a village and Naruto is going to be the Kage." explained Shikamaru
"Well I guess this is the first meeting of a council." laughed Naruto with a smile as he looked at most of the Konoha 11 who had gathered around the table. "We have a lot to get done and no one can't be everywhere so we need to split up the duties of running a government."
"I already started that I have Choji taking care the farming and food, Shikamaru is designing the city and Samui taking care of the money." Reported Ino she moved to stand beside Naruto who had moved to the head of the table.
"And so far everything is good, we are ahead of schedule for planting crops." Confirmed Choji "And with the farmers coming in from Fire Country we will move ahead faster."
"The city is planned but we are slightly behind in building it." reported Shikamaru "Hard to move blocks of stones from the mines to here but we are doing it but with more people we can get more done."
"Money wise we are spending a lot but we have a lot." confirmed the only non-former Leaf ninja in the room Samui "I have already started setting up business loans since we can't just give away money."
"Ok." confirmed Naruto before looking toward Sakura who was standing to his left, he knew that before this all started Tsunade was training Sakura to take her spot as head medical ninja "Can you start looking into the medical needs of everyone and start to set up a hospital here and in the other village."
Sakura couldn't help but put the palm of her hand in her head as her mind raced with all the things she need to set up a single hospital and now she had to do two.
"We are talking about a lot of people and a lot of work." Stated Sakura as she took a deep breath "I'll have Shizune and Rin help me if I even stand a chance of getting it done."
"No problem." Confirmed Shizune as she stood beside Kakashi with Rin at her side.
"Also I need Choji to start growing some medical herbs." Reported Sakura as she thought of the over three dozen herbs she would normally carry in her field medical pouch alone.
"Give me the seeds and I'll grow them." Responded Choji "The soil here is great."
"Alright next we need to think about defense." stated Naruto as he looked down at the table a map of a surrounding country. "At the moment the rest of the world doesn't know we are here but when they find us will need a military to defend ourselves. I am thinking a ninja school not only here but in the human village on the main land."
"Is it wise to trust humans with our defense?" stated Samui
"These people have done nothing to wrong us and we are in this together with them." stated Naruto "But we will focus on the school later in the mean time we need to arm ourselves and start training new teams. We have ninjas from multiple nations with different forms of training and we need them all to work together."
Naruto took a breath as he closed his eyes.
"I can't believe this but Sasuke I am making you head of the ANBU core." Stated Naruto as Sasuke raised an eyebrow.
"We don't have an ANBU core?" inquired Sasuke
"Which is why you have to build it." confirmed Naruto with a small laugh before turning toward the other jet black haired ninja. "Neji I want you to head the Jonin."
"Very well." Confirmed Neji
"No offense but I thought Kakashi would have been the better choice, he was head Jonin under Tsunade." countered Shizune as Naruto nodded his head.
"True but we need someone to help train and organize a police force." stated Naruto as he looked at his old sensei "And I want Kakashi to take care of that, with Sai as his second in command."
"Done." Confirmed Kakashi as Sai simply nodded his head confirming the order.
"We will need weapons since we only have a handful of weapons between all of us." Stated Neji
"I can take care of that." Offered Tenten "I worked at my families weapons forge back in the Leaf, I can make whatever we need weapon wise. Given the right supplies of course."
"Of course, more money we are sending up to the land of Bronzes for supplies." Stated Samui "We can't keep buying everything."
"Can you make the weapons here?" inquired Naruto
"I'll have to look at the type of minerals we have to make weapons." answered Tenten "But no matter what I will need a forge."
"Find out if we have the minerals first then we will worry about the forge." Ordered Naruto as he looked at the last two people in the room. "Kiba I have a special job for you."
"What is it?" inquired Kiba
"Now this may seam wrong of me to ask and feel free to say no." explained Naruto as he took a deep breath "But we need every edge in any conflict so we need you to start training ninja dogs. They where very effective in the war and we will need them."
"Naruto, I can't just start training ninja dogs using your normal street dog. It takes a lot of breading and finding the perfect dogs." Explained Kiba "Hello my clan started with a pack of wolves and then trained them and over the years breading them into the ninja hounds we have today."
"Then start there." Offered up Ino "I heard wolves howl just last night."
"Are you kidding me." Exclaimed Kiba as he looked at Ino "The wolves down here are not the your average wolves which can be found up north, these mountains are full of legendary man eater wolf packs."
"Can you do it?" asked Naruto
"No one has ever tried." admitted Kiba as he placed his hand under his chin "However I would be a nasty surprise if we ever did battle with the my old clan. Alright I'll give it a try."
"Thank you." confirmed Naruto with a smile before looking at Hinata.
"Hinata if I remember correctly your demon is a lawyer can you work on setting up some court system?" inquired Naruto as Hinata bowed a bit.
"Of course." Confirmed Hinata
"Alright we all have jobs so let's get to it." Ordered Naruto as everyone prepared to leave. "Hinata would you stay behind for a moment."
Soon everyone was out of the room apart from Naruto, Sakura, Ino and Hinata.
"Hinata, Sakura-chan told me about this law which requires Ino-chan to have a third mate and that you requested to join the three of us." Explained Naruto as Hinata's heart rate picked up as the moment of truth drew closer, both Ino and Sakura where glaring at Hinata with their arms crossed over their chest "Now being honest Sakura-chan isn't sure about you and neither am I."
Hinata's heart seamed to stop as the fact that her love wasn't sure of her broke her heart.
"However both of us admit that we don't know you that well and that we are going to give you a chance." Explained Naruto as hope returned to Hinata's heart.
"So the three of have decided that if you're up to it, you can win all of us over." Added Ino
"How do I convince you?" asked Hinata
"By Dating us." explained Sakura
"Dating all three of you?" questioned Hinata as she looked at Naruto who she had always dreamed of dating but she never thought she had to date both Sakura and Ino.
"Yes." Confirmed Naruto "Then together the three of us will decide if we want you to join us or not."
"I'll do it." Confirmed Hinata as she took up the challenge set by Naruto, Sakura and Ino.
