Chapter 32 A New Day Part 3

"What do you mean you lost them?" snapped the hothead new Raikage Atsui as the Kages of the five great ninja nations held yet another joint video conference about the missing demons.

"From the reports it seems that the demons are able to summon their demons into battle." reported Gaara as he sat behind his desk in the village hidden in the sand. "We lost half of our forces before the force commander ordered a retreat, by the time we returned in force all that was left was the bodies of our fallen ninjas."

"None of us are blaming you or your ninjas, most would break and run if they ran into demons." Confirmed Mei Terumi as she sat behind her own desk in Kirigakure, a heavy rain was clear for all to see though the window behind her.

"Speak for yourself." grumbled Atsui "For all we know he is lying and he let them get away."

"He isn't lying, one of my forward observation teams saw the tail end of the fight and there was a demon summoned to the battlefield." explained the oldest Kage Onoki as he defended Gaara for a moment "However this other report of how your demons which you have been containing escaping from the center of your village in the middle of the night is worrisome."

"Face it we have all failed in containing our demons." Reported Mei Terumi "We had ours on an island and somehow they escaped. What matters now is finding them."

"Agreed." confirmed the newly sworn in Hokage Hanabi Hyuga as she sat behind her own desk, the streets below her full of people celebrating her appointment. Traditionally the new Hokage would be down in the streets greeting the celebrating with them but she had decided instead to take part in the video conference with her other kages. "We have sent search teams into Land of Earth and the surrounding smaller nations but as of a half hour ago there was no sightings of them."

"You sent teams into our nation!" yelled Onoki as Hanabi nodded her head.

"Yes." confirmed Hanabi as she looked at the pissed off old man Onoki "I had the Fire Daimyo confirm it with the Earth Daimyo, besides what matters now is finding the Demons and we in Konoha are the best in the world at tracking and finding people who don't want to be found."

"I would beg to differ on that." snapped Atsui "We have some of the best trackers ninjas in the world."

"We have the Hyuga clan Byakugan which can see for miles and the ninja hounds of the Inuzuka which can track anything we will find them and then together we will contain them once and for all." stated Hanabi before looking at Atsui "Besides at the moment your nation really isn't even a whole nation since you're in the middle of a civil war."

"Can we just stop the bickering and focus on our plan of action?" stated Mei Terumi as the second oldest Kage gave advice to the younger Kages "We have no idea where they could have gone."

"Our best bet is that they headed into one of the hundreds uninhabited valleys in the Land of Earth or maybe into Lightening country." Reported Hanabi

"But wouldn't Lightening country cause them to run into more people since it is more populated?" inquired Gaara knowing that the Land of Lightening was far more populated then the land of Earth.

"Yes, but it is in the middle of a civil war allowing them to move unseen." Rebutted Hanabi

"Our best bet is that they are hiding in one of the valleys in the our nation." stated Onoki as he looked away from the TV screens and toward the framed map of his nation on the wall. The land of Earth was made up of thousands of valleys most of which were very hard to enter, it provided them with the prefect defense but in this case it provided their enemies unlimited places to hide. "It will take years to search every valley so we should focus on those valleys which we know of which have fresh water supplies."

"Agreed, how detailed are your maps of the valleys?" inquired Hanabi as Onoki looked down.

"Not detailed at all, some of these Valleys haven't been seen by human eyes in over half a century." confirmed Onoki as the other Kages either groaned or leaned back in their chairs. "And that isn't even counting in the fact that they could have moved north of our country into the land of Glaciers. They have almost the same number of uninhabited valleys as we do."

"This will take years won't it?" stated Mai Terumi as Hanabi nodded her head confirming the statement of the other female Kage.

While the Kages where busy planning their searches of the North a shirtless Naruto was hard at work under the warm Sothern hemisphere spring sun. He wasn't alone as a small army of his clones did meanly work with shovels and picks as they worked to clear a large patch of Earth to use as foundation for their new village. Watching from a small raised platform was Shikamaru as he looked down at the design for the village, he wasn't alone as standing right beside him was his best friend Choji.

"I wish we had kept Naruto here all this time, we may have had the village built by now." laughed Choji as he looked at the massive amount of work Naruto, his clone and the hundreds of other people who had joined the work crews to build their new home.

"Problem is while Naruto can make all small army of workers they are unskilled workers." Explained Shikamaru as Choji raised an eyebrow "Naruto is highly skilled in combat but what we need right now are stone cutters, carpenters and electricians. Naruto is none of those."

"True." admitted Choji "But things are going a lot faster with him helping out."

Before Shikamaru could respond Choji changed the subject as he looked toward the large line of people which stretched out for hundreds of yards. The line led toward the gold mine where they had found the original safes containing the gold and silver bars of the demon national treasury, however that was just the tip of the iceberg as dozens of other rooms where discovered each with personal items of the demons which were sealed away in the ark where kept in multiple vaults for storage. It had become the unofficial third stop when people arrived in the valley. They would check in at a large tent to sign in and receive a position in the tent city and receive their work detail assignment. Next they would set up their tent and get some food before moving to get the personal items of the demons which have joined them.

"So did you get anything good in your pack from the vaults?" asked Choji

"Nothing much." Confirmed Shikamaru as he remembered when he opened the sealed scroll which contained the items that his demon Nanuk had sealed away before he himself was sealed away in the Ark. "Some notebooks with building designs, a rather nice desk and an entire library worth of books."

Choji laughed a bit before slapping his friend in the back.

"That makes sense that your demon would seal away books." Laughed Choji as Shikamaru rolled his eyes "Well I better head back to the fields so that we can actually have a good harvest before winter comes."

With that Choji slapped his friend on the shoulder before turning around and heading down a small ladder and off the platform.

Nearby in a small tent Sasuke Uchiha stood over a small table looking over a map of the world, standing beside him was the head of intelligence gathering for their new nation Shino.

"So where are your mates?" inquired Shino as Sasuke raised his eyes and glared into the dark sunglasses of the Aburame clan member.

"As if you don't know." Stated Sasuke knowing that with the bugs within Shino he could keep an eye on almost everyone.

"In fact I do not know, I am currently using my insects to study the local insect population since isolated valleys tend to have interesting specialized insects." Explained Shino as Sasuke looked back down not knowing if he trusted the words or not.

"They are getting our supplies out of storage." explained Sasuke "But I am not thinking about that at the moment."

"And what are you thinking?" inquired Shino to the new head of the still none organized ANBU core.

"That we will need someone to train against and the best kind of training is by fighting actual people." stated Sasuke "Normally this happens when a ninja team goes on missions but since we can't promote ourselves to business for missions we have to find another way to train and the only way to do that is to go to war."

"So you are going to try to talk Naruto into going into a small war so that everyone can be ready for when the ninja nations find us?" inquired Shino "Sorry but that is next to impossible, he will never go along with that."

Sasuke couldn't help but grin at the fact that he was about to prove Shino wrong as Sasuke's finger moved across the map outside of the boarders of the Land of Granite into the neighboring land of Animals.

"Did you forget about the current situation in the Land of Animals?" inquired Sasuke with an Uchiha grin as Shino raised an eyebrow. "I guess not, but since it is happening so far away from the ninja nations it makes sense that you wouldn't know about it."

"And what is that?" asked Shino

"See the Land of Animals is in the middle of a massive six faction civil war and currently has no official government or Daimyo. The war has lasted for over a decade and has devastated that country." Explained Sasuke "I will simply offer up to Naruto that we throw our weight behind one of the factions, this way we get training, end a civil war saving countless lives, gain a trading partner and with luck gain a powerful ally since the Land of Animals was founded by Samurai."

Outside of the Valley Neji and Tenten walked down a gravel road as they descended into one of the massive granite mines which gave their new home country its name. The mine was partly shut down in celebration of the newly built town hall so only a few people where around.

"Why didn't we start the mineral search in the valley?" inquired Neji as he walked behind his teammate and fiancée.

"Because according to Dee there is a map in the demon archives which have all their mineral resources mapped out." Explained Tenten as she walked around the massive open air granite mine. "And since they haven't been touched by humans we know what we have there but out here is a different story."

"Who are you two?" yelled a voice as both of them looked to their right as a man dressed in a bright orange safety shirt and helmet ran over to them. "Don't you realize this is a mine?"

"We do, Lady Daimyo Ino has instructed us to see what resources we all have here." Explained Tenten as the man blinked as Tenten pulled out a piece of paper with Ino's signature on it explaining everything and giving them permission to go anywhere "And since the mine is shut down it seemed like the safest time to entire.'

"I guess that makes sense." Stated the man as he read the letter. "Well I am shift foreman at the moment is there anything I can do to help you."

"Maybe you could save us some time and tell us if there is any natural resources other than granite around here?" inquired Tenten as the man shrugged a bit.

"Not really all that much we have a few small Iron ore mines along the western boarder with the Land of Animals and two or three small salt mines in the north." Explained the man as Tenten nodded her head. "If only we could reopen those old copper mines but that is impossible."

"Copper?" inquired Tenten knowing that copper was highly valuable in many areas as the man nodded his head.

"Yes, before this became of the land of granite we called it the land of copper and for almost a century we had the best and largest copper mines in the world." Explained the shift manager "Everyone knows that the copper is still down there but there is no way to get to it."

"You mine it." stated Neji as the man glared at the Hyuga clan member slightly offended.

"Forgive him, he knows a lot about combat not much about minerals and metals." stated Tenten "But why can't you mine it?"

"Because of the Silver Death." explained the man as both ninjas raised an eyebrow. "Why don't I just show you."

With that the man led them up and out the far end of the mine and toward one of the low lining hills which ran around the fishhook shaped mountain range which marked the boarder of the Land of Granite. As they neared the base of the hill a large concrete bunker came into view with a single metal door in front. Quickly the man opened the door which moaned a bit from the lack of oil in its hinges. With that they entered a small room with several gas masks and flashlights hanging on the wall and another door on the other side.

"Make sure you check your masks the gas is toxic." ordered the man as Tenten and Neji puts masks on before all three passed through another door only to step into a massive room which had been cut into the hill, old tools and mine carts could be seen in the darkness. It was clear as day to Tenten that this was some old staging area where everyday mines would come in clock in and get ready to spend a day underground. At the far end of the darkened room was a large ten by ten cut saft cut into the rock face which descended down into the hill.

"This is one of the old copper mines, but like the others we can use it because of the Silver death." Explained the man as the three of them moved toward the mine shaft only to see that instead of a deep dark endless mine that it was a silver pool of liquid.

"Is that mercury?" asked Neji his voice somewhat grumbled because of his mask.

"No, mercury is more solid than this." stated Tenten as she knelt down beside the pool study the liquid which flowed almost like water. However it was clearly a metal of some kind.

"Whatever it is has flooded the copper mines shutting them down. It gives off some kind of piousness vapor which can kill if we breathe it in too much and it we have a tone of it." explained the man a Tenten stood up.

"I know what this is." stated Tenten as she smiled under her gasmask. "And how much do you have?"

"This mine is over a mile and a half deep with multiple tunnels on each level and all of them are flooded with this killer liquid. We are just lucky it isn't in the water supply." reported the man "All the other mines are like this and they are all flooded. Are you saying you know what this is? Because we tried storing it in tanks but more just came flooding up from the deep."

"You have tanks of these?" asked a stunned Tenten as the man nodded his head. "We have them on an small island just off the coast, I believe a hundred 2,000,000 liters storage tanks. We even tried pouring it into the massive lakes of the stuff in the land of Meteors but nothing worked."

Tenten's eyes widened so much it was almost comical at the idea that they tried to get rid of the stuff.

"So you know how we remove it so that we can open the mine and get money?" inquired the man

"You don't get it, this is Scandium." laughed Tenten "This is supposed to be the rarest element in the world, the only known supply is a small despots in the Land of Iron. To top it off when you melt it with the volcanic rock like the rocks which make up a large part of this nation you get Aldhard."

"And what is that?" asked the man

"Let's just say a pound of Aldhard is worth about 37 pounds in gold and is pound for pound 1,000 times stronger than steel." Stated Tenten as different ideas of what she could do with all the Aldhard metal she would have under her control ran through her head. "We just found the mother load."

Back in the Leaf village the streets where full of partiers as the people celebrated their new Hokage, young kids ran around playing games with each other as their parents enjoyed food from one of the food carts. The young adults where busy either hanging out with their friends or dancing in the night clubs. The bars where full of the older generation who toasted to the Kage as they waited for darkness to fall and the fireworks to begin. Even though almost everyone was parting four people had gathered in one of the parks on the outskirts of the village.

"497…498…499…500." Finished Lee as he jumped up from doing his fifth set of 500 pushups in the past two hours. Sitting on a nearby park bench watching a five year old girl swing on a nearby swing was Mighty Guy and his friend Kurenai.

"Hard to believe Asuma's and your daughter is already five." reported Guy as he looked at the little girl "She looks like him."

"She does." confirmed Kurenai as she smiled as she looked at her daughter, suddenly another figure walked toward them. The man was dressed in a green jonin jacket and short brown hair.

"I would ask why you're not celebrating like everyone else but I think it is the same reason none of us are." stated Guy as the sometime leader of team seven Yamato nodded his head.

"There really isn't anything to celebrate." confirmed Yamato as suddenly a streak of smoke crossed the darkening sky before exploding in a shower of red sparks. Within moments more fireworks filled the sky as the sound of people cheering in the streets reached them in the park. "It is more like a funeral then a celebration to me."

"Same here. All our youthful friends are gone." admitted the normally joyful Lee with tears in his eyes as he turned away from the fireworks and went back to doing pushups.

Night was falling over the Land of Granite as the refugees from the Land of Fire joined with the refugees from Lightening country around hundreds of camp fires. Around the fire stories where shared and new friends made, slowly one my one the fires began to die down as people walked into their tents to get some sleep knowing that tomorrow they would have a lot of work to do in building a new home. Sitting around one of the fires was Shizune and Rin, Kakashi still hadn't come back from helping control the crowds of people who were all trying to get the items that their demons sealed away out of storage. While they waited the two woman began trading stories between each other.

"So you have never seen Kakashi's face?" inquired Rin as Shizune nodded her head, both of them had bottles of beers in their hands. "You have only seen his mask?"

"Yes and to my knowledge almost no one has ever seen him without it." confirmed Shizune as Rin laughed a bit as both of them took a drink.

"I have." stated Rin as Shizune's eyes widened as she looked at Rin.

"When I transplanted Obito's Sharingan eye into Kakashi's I had to place him under for a bit." Explained Rin before she grinned "Then while he was out took a peak under his mask."

Both women couldn't help but laugh as they took another drink.

"You know if you and Kakashi are up to it we could do it tonight?" offered up Shizune as Rin thought about it for a moment.

"Personally I don't want my first time to happen in some field, I would rather have something more romantic." explained Rin as Shizune smiled.

"Then you and I are in total agreement." explained Shizune

While members of the older generation was having some fun, Kiba was at one of his favorite spots in the world, in a bar. However unlike any true village bars this was outside with a rotten wooden plank as a bar stand with a tent behind everything. Kiba sat down on a folding chair as Akamaru rested his head on his knee.

"I know boy but we will just have to get used to not having a pack for a bit." answered the somewhat homesick Kiba as he placed a small golden coin on the bar "I'll take a shot of whiskey."

"Coming up." Said a female voice which caught Kiba by surprise as he looked up only to see a red haired woman with dark tan skin and deep golden silted eyes.

"Karui?" asked Kiba as the Kunoichi from Kumogakure poured him a small shot of golden liquid from an even larger bottle. Karui blinked as she looked at Kiba studying his face for a moment.

"Kiba Inuzuka correct?" asked Karui

"Yes, your working at a bar now?" asked Kiba as Karui shrugged

"My demon Cloe and her pack owned a bar and they sealed away a bunch of liquor." explained Karui as she poured herself a shot "So here I am. Bottoms up?"

"Bottoms up." laughed Kiba as both of them downed their shots in one go.

"Strong stuff." laughed Karui

"Agreed, so what work detail did you get?" inquired Kiba

"I didn't get one." Reported Karui as Kiba raised an eyebrow as Karui poured another round not only for the two of them but the other two people at her makeshift bar "See while my teammate Samui is helping our new nation by heading up banking and Omoi is surveying the land, I get to help everyone out by serving people drinks and getting people drunk."

"A worthy job." Laughed Kiba as he took the shot. "I for one get to go into the mountains to try to track down some wolves which can hopefully be trained to be ninja hounds."

"Well make sure you don't get your hand bitten off." stated Karui as the two other people at the bar stood up and headed toward a nearby tent while taking part in a full make out session.

"I'll bet you a round that they are about to get lucky." offered up Kiba as Karui shock her head.

"No deal, I would bet over half the people in this tent city are doing it right now." declined Karui as both of them laughed before taking another drink.

A few hundred yards away Naruto Namikaze lied flat on his back dead to the world as the effects of hours of hard labor did its toll. The fact that he had used thousands of shadow clones to do the work didn't help since he felt the effects of every shovel full of dirt that the clones moved. Sakura had used some of her healing chakra to help but it didn't stop his muscles from aching. Sleep claimed him the moment he rested his head down on the pillow as Sakura and Ino slept beside him. It had taken a little bit of time to convince Ino to stay in the tent instead of going back to the Daimyo's house on the main land but she gave in to both Naruto's and Sakura's request that they stay in the valley with the rest of the people.

Sakura fell asleep with her head resting on pillow, the blanket which had been provided in the pack was currently being used as a barrier between them and the grass luckily it was a warm spring night so a blanket wasn't needed. She stayed awake just long enough to hear the soft breathing of both Naruto and Ino sound asleep as a wave of peace wash over her just knowing that the two of them where beside her.

Her sleep was interrupted as she felt a warm hand brush over her shoulder and down her side, the hand was soft as it gently massage the area around her breasts before slowly moving down her side until coming to a stop as it lifted the string band of her bikini bottom underwear. She didn't even have to open her eyes she could tell who it was before she even opened her eyes as she pushed herself up on one arm and tilted her head a bit only to come cheek to cheek with Ino.

"So I was thinking forehead that since Naruto-kun had one on one time with both of us it is only fair that we get some one on one time with each other?" whispered Ino as her hand slipped under Sakura's waistband before touching the top part of her womanhood. "Do you agree with my line of thinking?"

Ino never got a chance to answer as Sakura snuck her hand around behind Ino's head before she knew what happened she was pulled into a deep kiss. Ino was caught off guard for a moment before returning the kiss, for a moment both women just lied there with Ino on top in a deep kiss, suddenly Sakura felt a Ino's tongue lick the outside of her lips as she asked for permission to come in. Instantly Sakura opened up as the kiss became even more passionate as both their hands went to work as one of Sakura's hands ran through Ino's hair while other pulled off Ino's top. Ino's hands where busy holding Sakura close while pulling down her bottom. They pulled apart do the lack of air as Ino leaned up as Sakura looked up at her blonde haired best friend/lover, she had on a black sports bra almost the same as Sakura had. Suddenly a pair of different hands came around behind Ino grabbing her breasts earning a moan from her.

"Am I allowed to join you two?" inquired a now awake Naruto as he rested his head on Ino's shoulder while looking at Sakura. For the moment Ino and Sakura looked at each other before grinning at each other.

"Sorry Naruto-kun." Started Sakura

"But this is a vixen only event." Reported Ino "But feel free to watch."

"I see." Said Naruto as he pulled back into the darkness only to suddenly reappear a moment later only he was different, his face had softened and his hair was now longer as Sakura realized he had used his sexy technique to become a woman something she hadn't seen him do in years. Normally she would have beaten him into a pulp for using that justu but not now.

"Now can I join you, we are all vixens now?" inquired the female Naruto as both Ino and Sakura smiled at each other before Ino turned her head and kissed the female Naruto while Sakura pulled both of them down toward her.
