Chapter 52 Blood Moon

It had been a long couple of days as Kiba Inuzuka and Karui walked through the woods having just gotten off the ship in the small hidden harbor located in their valley. The two of them where among the first group to arrive back in the Land of Granite since most people didn't want to share a ship with a pack of dire wolves who didn't like boats. The moment the ship had docked the wolves had rushed off the ship and toward the Inuzuka clan compound. Unlike all the other clan compounds which rested inside the rising walls of Shimagakure the Inuzuka compound was located in the thick oak forest which sat at the base of the towering mountains which rung the valley. The land that the compound sat on was mostly overgrown thick forest with only one cleared path leading toward the house. The entrees to the path was flanked by two towering stone wolves on top of seven foot tall pillars each wolf growling and showing their stone teeth.

"I just want to sleep," said Kiba as he readjusted his pack, this was a first for him he was actually carrying back more stuff then when he left. Part of his and Karui mission was to bury the dead samurai after the wolves had done, so the two of them had procured a few things that they had found. Kiba had found a rather nice fur lined jacket and gloves and Karui had found a few small items of her own. They had also collected small mountains of gold, silver and other rare metals from the dead but those had been left behind to help rebuild the land of animals. The most items they did bring back was the butchered horse meat for the wolf pack to eat, luckily the scroll seals made carrying hundreds of pounds of meat bulky but easy.

"Same here." confirmed Karui "I am just going to crash here and then go check on my bar in the morning."

"No problem." stated Kiba as he stepped onto the front pouch of his house; the house was actually a log cabin with multiple floors. The two of them stepped inside with Karui flipping the light switch on with practice; the place was just as Kiba had left it with an empty plate sitting on the solid oak coffee table located in front of the couch, which was itself carved out of a fallen tree with cushions on it.

"You really need to clean up more often," reported Karui as she moved up the stairs toward the master bedroom.

"You want a beer?" offered Kiba as he slumped down onto the couch.

"Na." said Karui as she leaned forward on the rail "What I want is for you to get your ass into the bedroom and then well…you know what comes next."

"Coming." confirmed Kiba as he jumped to his feet and headed up the stairs.

"Good boy." laughed Karui as she slapped him in the ass as he passed her, Kiba spun around grabbing her by the waist lifting her up causing her to curse him. She slapped him on the back as he carried her to the bedroom before lowering her gently back onto the bed.

"I'll make you pay for that." cursed Karui before kissing Kiba gently on the lips.

"I am sure you will." Answered Kiba as suddenly the sound of bounding footsteps reached their ears before a giant dog leaped onto the bed. Both of them turned to see Akumaru standing on the bed looking at the two of them.

Akumaru barked as Kiba felt like ripping off Akamaru's head or screaming at the top of his lungs.

"Now…you want to eat now." cursed Kiba as Akumaru shock his head before Kiba could say another thing howling came from outside the bedroom window.

"Go feed the wolves." Ordered Karui as Kiba groaned before going off to take care of the wolves. He walked out the back door and toward the multiple dens, which had been built for the wolves to use whenever they wanted. So far, he only had about two dozen wolves some only pups but in time who knew how many wolves would prowl these woods. He tossed hunks of horsemeat to the wolves who ripped into it. Once he was done, he washed his hands of the horse blood before heading back toward the bedroom only to find Karui sound asleep under of the wolf fur blanket.

"You are the biggest cock block in the world, you know that right?" cursed Kiba to Akamaru who looked up at him before bouncing off to his normal spot at the foot of the bed. He kicked off his shoes and while standing on one foot took of his socks. Next he took off his jacket and shirt tossing them toward the hamper located in closet.

"Damn it." Cursed Kiba as the cloths landed short of the hamper. Next he took off his pants leaving on his boxers, this time his aim was right as the dirty pants went into the hamper. He sat down on the edge of his side of the bed, he was about to turn off the light when he felt a pair of thin arms wrap around his neck from behind.

"Did you really think I was asleep?" whispered Karui in his ear "I needed some time to get ready for you and Akamaru was more then willing to help."

Kiba only grinned as Karui moved around him so that they could be face to face. Kiba's eyes widened as Karui fought down the need to laugh at the stunned expression, which was covering his face. He had no idea where she had found the skintight reddish brown corset with lancing up the front, the top was lined with white fur.

"So I had to order this custom for me? Do you like it?" asked Karui as Kiba smiled as he placed his hands on her hips his hands resting just above the string bottom the bikini.

"I will enjoy it more once I take it off you." answered Kiba as he moved to undo the strings, which lined the top of the corset. Only to have the hand slapped away by Karui. "What?"

"Do dogs have hands?" asked Karui as Kiba blinked at the words but the look in her golden eyes told him that something more was coming. "No they have teeth, so use them."

Kiba grinned as he leaned forward and grabbed one of the strings with his teeth pulling it undoing the top knot.

"Good Boy." purred Karui as Kiba went to work, while Kiba's teeth was working one of his hands slipped under the bottom strap and went to work.

The night was pitch black with the moon and stars hidden behind a thick cloud cover, the only sources of light came from countless numbers of camp fires around the Samurai castle and the few electric lights located around the base of the castle. No one came to challenge them as two figures moved through the mass of humanity, which was the 20'000 strong samurai army, to anyone who looked at them they saw two men dressed in hooded navy blue cloaks going about their business. Most did not even bother to look at them since most knew that tomorrow would be their last day on Earth. With that in mind they were enjoying themselves by drinking until they passed out.

"They are men who think they are going to die," said Naruto softly as his blue eyes watched for any sign of a threat even though out here it was unlikely because the men were drunk. "And if we don't stop their commanders they will."

"And what is your point?" asked Sasuke like Naruto he had on a red cloak but it wasn't because they liked the color but because the so called Shogun had chosen red and black as his colors. Under the cloak, they had removed their combat armor and instead wore the more flexible but less safe Aldhard laced fabric.

"That how often do you actually save lives?" inquired Naruto as they neared the only open gate into the castle. They had spent the better part of an hour walking around the walls placing seals on the gates so that they could not be open quickly and now it was time for the hard part to start.

"According to Karin there are on average five hundred people in the castle." reported Sasuke "Leadership likely near the top, what are your orders."

"Kill the leadership and anyone who gets in our way." ordered Naruto as the two of them stepped onto the wooden drawbridge, they walked past three guards without drawing as much as a glace before reaching the castle itself. Quickly they moved under the murder holes before entering a large courtyard.

"This is almost too easy." Said Sasuke as he looked at the drunks who were sleeping in the tents which lined the courtyard.

"All the better, I'll seal the gate you head into the castle itself." ordered Naruto as Sasuke nodded his head as they parted company Naruto heading up the stairs cut into the inner wall toward the gatehouse while Sasuke moved forward past another smaller gate house until he entered the main part of the castle itself.

"What are you doing up here?" asked a man to Naruto as he walked up to the unknown man standing on the wall walk.

"I am here to save lives." answered Naruto as the main titled his head a bit slightly confused by the statement "And sadly it will cost yours."

There was no time for the guard to even make a move as Naruto's hand slashed up and cut the guard's throat. The guard tried to scream but he could not even draw a breath as Naruto threw off the red cloak to show a black jonnin vest lined with orange. A long sword was hanging off a strap across his back and multiple kunai and other bladed weapons rested in holders along the strap holding the sword and his belt.

The nearby guards most of whom were somewhat drunk themselves tried to react as multiple kunai flew out striking the guards and either killing or disabling them. Only one let out a scream and that one was the one on the far wall away from Naruto and he had only been grazed by the kunai, however he had stumbled and fell off the wall sixty feet to the ground.

"Shit." cursed Naruto as the scream went up, causing people to look up toward him.

"Intruder!" yelled a man as Naruto turned and ran toward the gatehouse door; he threw it open before anyone could seal it up. The three guards inside never stood a chance as Naruto cut them down with the white Aldhard long sword. With them bathing in their own blood, Naruto turned to the series of large chains, which held up the four massive metal portcullis gates. Naruto slammed some paper bombs onto the chains; he bit his thumb and ran the blood over the seals arming the timer. Naruto did not bother with the door instead; he jumped out the window as the tags went off destroying the chain causing the portcullis gates to drop. Naruto hit the ground and rolled in the dirt before popping up only to see a wall of men surrounding him armed with spears, swords, axes and other weapons.

"Surrender." ordered one of the samurai as he stepped forward with a sword in hand "You are surrounded."

Naruto couldn't help but laugh as his mind flashed back to a time when he and Jiraiya where surrounded by some robbers who had no idea who they were trying to rob.

"Naruto do you know what is the best part of being surrounded?" asked Jiraiya's voice from Naruto's memory "You don't have to look far for your enemy."

"Bring it on." said Naruto as he formed a hand sign as suddenly six other Naruto's appeared beside him. A few soldiers looked back and forth at each other as if to make sure they where not seeing extras from drinking too much.

"Shall we?" asked one of the clones as the original nodded his head before the six of them charged straight into the armed men.

While Naruto was doing battle back in his house Ino was tossing and turning in a restless sleep, suddenly she sat up in a cold sweat, she did not know if she tossed and turned because she was alone or the fact a war may start soon.

"God Damn it." cursed Ino as she looked around at the empty bed the only other thing sharing the large bed with her was Isis her white cat. She lied back down but the moment she closed her eyes the doorbell range causing her eyes to snap back open.

"Coming…coming!" yelled Ino as she jumped out of bed throwing on a light purple robe and headed down the stairs. She checked through the glass built into the front door only to spot two of her ninjas standing there.

"Lady Daimyo." said the lead ninja as she saluted her daimyo "Sorry for waking you up in such a late hour but we got word that the Leaf ninjas are heading home at once."

"What?" asked Ino as she rubbed some sleep from her eyes.

"They are heading home, I thought they were heading into the Land of Animals next?" asked Ino

"They were but they got a message from their Hokage ordering them to return at once," stated the ninja as she handed a piece of paper to Ino who unrolled it only to not understand the meaning of it for a moment. Then finally, the words got to her as she reread the paper.

"Lady Daimyo should we take care of them?" asked the younger ninja who hadn't seen the message

"No, let them go they can't be sure we are down here and they have more important things to do." Explained Ino "Thank you for bringing this to me and make sure you get some sleep."

"Yes, Madden." said the lead as Ino closed the door and reread the message for the third time.

Fire Daimyo killed in suicide attack on Daimyo's estate by Lightening Country rebels. All Leaf ninjas are being called up put an end to the civil war in the land of Lightening. Return at once to begin planning out our assault, the Fire Daimyo's grandson has taken over all the titles and responsibilities as the Fire Daimyo.

"A suicide attack?" said Ino to herself as she walked up the stairs back toward the bedroom.

"We need to find out if this is true, but Shino is in the land of Animals. Because this attack may have just drawn their gaze away from us and saved us from an early war." explained Lydia as Ino rubbed her temples, they had been so focus on the war in the lands of Animals they had neglected information coming out of the North.

The whole castle was now on high alert as the sound of clashing steel filled the air as Naruto fought his way through the mass of humanity which filled the inner court yard, most of the guards where either running toward him or up toward where the upper levels where the leader where gathered. Their goal was to protect their leaders but they only lead showed Sasuke where the leaders where gathered.

"You four form a defense line here and make sure no one gets past you." ordered a samurai as Sasuke walked up the stairs toward them.

"Why don't we make this fun?" offered Kado inside Sasuke's mind

"What are you thinking?" asked Sasuke to his demon

"Well…I would say summon me but that may give the game away so why don't we try to finish this mission before the hour is up." offered Kado as Sasuke looked at his watch and saw he had seven minutes.

"No easy." laughed Sasuke as grinned at the idea as he gripped the hilt of the slightly covered sword, which hung on his belt.

"You stop there," ordered the samurai as he stepped forward toward Sasuke but he never got to say another world as Sasuke's black sword came up and in a single swipe decapitated the samurai in a single move.

"Intruder!" yelled another guard as the other guards tried to and failed to pull their swords. With multiple quick blows they to where struck down leaving only the single guard. Instead of killing him, Sasuke put his blood covered sword tip against his unarmed neck, letting the warm blood drip down onto the man's uniform.

"Tell me your leaders where are they at?" inquired Sasuke as he looked at the scared shitless guard with his sharingan eyes.

"Third to last finished floor, ten levels up." confirmed the guard as he pissed himself

"Good." confirmed Sasuke as he swiped his sword away not even cutting the man's throat but splatting him with blood. "Now if you have lied to me, I will come and find you and your death will not be as clean as your friends."

It was then that the man crapped himself as he strutted trying to speak.

"Second to last, 11 floors up." corrected the man "There war room is on the that floor and that is where they would most likely be."

"Good, you just saved your own life," confirmed Sasuke as another group of guards came rushing down a large staircase their armor clanking as they moved.

The samurai didn't even try to get Sasuke to surrender as they bull rushed Sasuke and where quickly dispatched by with multiple swipes of the black sword.

Eleven floors up Shogun Snorri was already in the process of getting his armor on when the an aid rushed into the room. He was kneeling in front of a small shrine to his ancestors as two young squires placed on his blood red armor. They were strapping on his arm steel arm guards and his red breastplates, on the breastplate was the image of a black dragon with red rubies eyes. He was in deep mediation and inhaling the scents coming off the multiple candles, preparing for his last day on the mortal world, he was deep in thought when the door burst opened.

"Sir, we have an enemy solider making his way up here," stated the aid as the old samurai warrior eyes opened.

"So my blades will taste blood earlier then I thought," stated Snorri as he turned toward his young aids. "My helmet and mask."

Outside Sasuke Uchiha had reached the floor he wanted; he had carved a bloody path up the main staircase killing any samurai who was dumb enough to raise a blade against his progress. A few were smart enough to drop their weapons but most where no lying in a pool of their own blood with multiple limbs missing from their body. He pushed open a door with his Aldhard gloves and stepped out into the main hallway. Waiting for him in the hallway was about two dozen armed men dressed in full battle armor; unlike the guards who had at the most breastplates and chain mail these men had the finniest armor.

Sasuke scanned the men with his Sharingan eyes noting all the different weapons, mostly long swords a favorite of the samurai.

"Only 24 of you?" noted Sasuke sadly, as he placed his blood covered sword tip down on the hardwood floor cutting it ever so slightly. "What a shame."

"Twenty five." stated a heavy voice as the door at the end of the hall opened up to show a giant man dressed in blood red armor with a black dragon on his breastplate. He had a full helmet on his head and his face was covered with a bright red mask with holes for the eyes and mouth, topping the helmet was a dragon's face with two large black horns shooting out of the dragon's head. In his hands was a long spear like weapon with a curve blade instead of a single point.

"Shogun Snorri please stay back," pleaded one of the nearest man as he held up his sword. "Allow us to defeat this…scum."

"No, I will crush this bug myself." Stated Snorri as he lowered his naginata toward the man dressed in the black vest and long jacket lined with red who stood at the end of the hallway just waiting.

"Are you done talking and ready to die?" asked Sasuke "I really want to go back and sleep."

"You are a fool to come here tired," said a man in deep navy blue armor with a facemask.

"Not what I meant when I said sleeping," groaned Sasuke "I am surrounded by idiots."

"But luckily you get to kill these idiots." added Kato

"Sir at least let us fight alongside you." pleaded the blue samurai

"Yes, you may." confirmed the Shogun as all twenty-four lesser samurai commanders turned their weapons toward Sasuke and began to advance toward him.

"I think it would for the best if we use it." Advised Kato as Sasuke reached into the lining of his Aldhard jacket and pulled out a single scroll.

"I was originally saving this for dead last but now we are on the same side so you all will have to do." stated Sasuke as he unsealed the scroll only to have a second sword, appear in his hand. The sword was a perfect twin to the one he already had, down to the same black Aldhard blade created by Tenten herself.

"Two swords will not be able to stand against us." laughed a masked samurai as Sasuke grinned as he channeled chakra to two small seals on the sword itself.

Flashback

"Why do you want two twin swords?" asked Tenten as she looked at the design for the swords given to her by a man she would have killed months earlier. "You will not be able to do any justu's with them in your hands, I mean I heard you can do Justus using only one hand but doing Justus without any hand signs that is impossible."

"Not true." stated Sasuke with a grin as he pointed to seals, which would be built into the handle of the swords. "These will be enough."

"You are going to have seals built into your swords?" asked Tenten

"Yes, something I was working on near the end of the war but never had a chance to use it against dead last but I will be able to use it in the next war." Confirmed Sasuke

End Flashback

The seals on the sword began to glow in a quick plusses each seal was a different hand sign which would normally be required for any Justus. While this was slower than normal it was fast enough for the moment, finally the pluses stopped as Sasuke took a deep breath.

"Giant Fireball justu!" yelled Sasuke as a giant ball of fire went down the crowed hallway. The Samurai raised their arms over their faces to protect themselves from the wall of fire which descended on them. The moment it passed by something far more deadly then any fireball, Sasuke Uchiha.

With a single duel slash down the front of the nearest samurai his demon chakra covered Aldhard blade cut straight through the breast plate down to his hip all while removing the samurai's arm in spray of warm blood. With his second sword, he did an under sweep cutting through both legs just below the knees. By the time the samurai let out a scream Sasuke was already on the second man his twin curved swords raised over his head, with a deadly grace he did an X shape cut. The samurai in front of him did a step back as Sasuke grinned as his enemies blood ran down from his jet black locks to his chin before dripping off. Likewise his twin swords where covered with blood from their black tips down to their hilts.

"So." Said Sasuke in a cold voice as his three comas in his Sharingan eyes began to spin around the silted center. "Who is next?"

Down below in the courtyard Naruto and his clones where also engaged in a fight with all the half drunk and half-armed men. Naruto was taking care not to kill when he did not have too, he used the flat edge of his sword or a mix of different Justus to knock out the enemies. Then without warning screams filled the air, Naruto looked up just in time to see two fully armored man fall out of a broken window before splattering on the ground. At almost the same moment that the men hit the ground shards of glass fell peppering the dirt around the bodies. Large pillars of smoke and flames were shooting up into the night sky.

"What the hell is Sasuke doing up there?" cursed Naruto as a third body began to fall toward the Earth, this one minus his legs. Naruto didn't have time to think about it anymore than that, as a half-naked man tried to stab him with a dagger only to have the blow glace off his Aldhard lined cloths ripping it just a bit as it went.

Above in the castle Sasuke had moved from fighting in the hallway to fighting in one of the large meeting rooms besides the hallway. The samurai underlings had been for the most part removed, with only three of the twenty-four remaining besides the shogun himself.

"Die!" yelled a samurai as he jabbed toward Sasuke with a spear. Sakura jumped up onto the large table located in the center of the room however, he did not land on his feet instead he landed on his hands. Sasuke feet went up to either side of the man's hand and with a twist of his legs; he snapped he man's neck.

Sasuke did not even have a chance to get back on his feet before the shogun cut at his arms with his naginata, forcing him to push off the table. The last samurai came at him from a different angle and his blow found home, hitting Sasuke in the arm. Sasuke grimaced as the samurai's club like weapon called a Kanabo. The sound of breaking bones filled the air as Sasuke felt at least one of the bones in his lower arm break.

"Finally." said the samurai with the Kanabo as Sasuke's arm went limp, causing him to drop his sword. He never had a chance to say another world as Sasuke picked up the sword he had dropped and simply threw it straight though the man's head so hard that it pinned him to the wall.

"So just you and me." stated the Shogun in his blood red armor. Sasuke grinned he had walked into the building dressed in black and now he was covered in deep red almost all of it human blood.

"Yes, just you and me." confirmed Sasuke as he spun one of his swords in his on good hand. "And soon it will just be me."

"And how do you plan to do that?" asked the Shogun as the two of them stood in front of each other by the broken windows. Already three samurai had been thrown out of those windows by Sasuke, and it was about to become four.

Sasuke didn't say anything instead he rushed forward ducking under the shogun's slash before stabbing him in the side with his sword, however Sasuke wasn't going to kill the shogun with a sword blow, so summoning all the strength he pushed the much larger man out the window.

Down below a scream filled the air as Naruto and the men he was fighting looked up to see two figures fly out the window. Naruto recognized Sasuke while the others recognized their shogun's red armor. Suddenly Sasuke began to slow down in midair even as the shogun sped up and came crashing into the ground so hard that his helmet along with his head flew off on impact.

"Damn." cursed Naruto as Sasuke came in for a softer landing his one good hand hanging onto a wire.

"He must have thrown a kunai with a wire to slow him down." Noted Kyuubi as Sasuke let go of the wire and pulled his sword out of the dead shogun body.

"I thought you would have finished off this weaklings already?" inquired Sasuke who was covered with blood, with ripped Aldhard clothing and an injured arm.

"Some of us are not as blood thirsty as you." countered Naruto before turning toward the stunned enemy "Surrendered and you will live."

For a moment, they looked back and forth at each other before finally a man stepped forward, dropping down on one knee and offered up his sword up.

"We surrender." Said the man as slowly one by one all the others went down on one knee and placed their weapons on the ground.
