Chapter 12

Youkomon, Kabuterimon, and Angemon all meet up half way up the mountain, Taiki is introduced to the others and Izzy explains the communication feature of the digivices. Tai immediately tries to contact Joe, Sora, and Matt with no luck, " TK, you stay here with Angemon and once you reach the others inform them that the fight is going on and that they need to come around from the other side, we need to flank the evil angel if we're to stand a chance at winning. Once you get through to them join us, okay. " Tai says.

TK nods at this, he knew that they needed to be able to plan their assault, " I'll stay with him as well, " Leomon says.

" Got it, Taiki, you're with us, mostly because you're an unknown and may just be what we need to pull this off without one of our digimon needing to use all their energy and then reconfiguring. " Tai states.

Taiki grins, " I like you, Taichi, you'd make one helluva general. " Taiki had also noticed how close his cousin seemed to be to Taichi as well. Then there was Davis, Taiki knew burgundy hair was rare, he'd swear Davis was related to him. Little did Taiki know that he was actually right, Davis happened to be his younger cousin.

The kids go forwards to face their destiny, well, the first part of it, Devimon was just the first in a long line of enemies that they needed to defeat. Once at the top of the mountain Taiki reloads everyone from his Fusion Loader. Agumon and Veemon immediately digivolve while the children get out of the way. Dorulumon smirks, " Drill Tornado! "

" Fiery Fast Ball! "

Greymon catches on to this, " Nova Blast! "

Youkomon was quick on the uptake too, " Jaenryu! "

The flame attacks meet with the wind attack and create a fire storm. Taiki grins, he could have fun with this, " Knightmon, PawnChessmon, protect the noncombatants as well as you can. Wisemon, analyze the fight and see if you can find us a weakness for the evil angel. "

" Yes sir. " Knightmon states and they set to work.

" Needle Spray. "

" Wind Blade! "

Falcomon knew when to add to the fight, they needed to fight smart. Gotsumon helps with the defense of those that weren't fighting. Ballistamon takes pot shots at Devimon while Shoutmon and Dorulumon get up close and personal. Youkomon launches hit and fade attacks on the evil angel while Kabuterimon keeps Devimon from taking too far into the skies. Both Cutemon are ready to start healing their allies at a moment's notice while Veedramon picks his moments to attack carefully.

Further down the mountain TK manages to get a hold of the others and tells them the plan. Matt has to admit that Tai had a point, they needed to flank the evil angel so they had a better chance of beating him. They confirm that they understood the plan and the remaining members on Infinity Mountain join the fray, Angemon helps Kabuterimon to keep Devimon from getting too much sky while Leomon helps to protect the non-combatants. They knew they had to keep Devimon off balance until the others arrived. Taiki figured he and his team could easily beat the idiot down but he was just there for back up, though his presence did throw Devimon off.

Center:

Fanglongmon blinks at the arrival of the Red General, not even he had seen that one coming, " Lord Fanglongmon, it's good to see you so hale and hearty. "

" Stratus, did you send the red general here? " Fanglongmon asks.

" I did, Motomiya Daisuke is in fact Tenacity's little brother and the Red General's younger cousin. They will need Taiki's help to put down Apocalymon for good and Daisuke will need Serena, Taichi, and Taiki along with Veemon to overcome the emotional and psychological damage done to him. " Stratus admits.

" I take it you have no problem with me calling Tenacity and Miracles in? " Fanglongmon asks.

" Hell no, I'm glad you did, at least this batch are good picks on Azulongmon's part though Matt will need a few more hard knock lessons from Tenacity. Though Kindness I feel has been corrupted due to him saving the Legendary Tamer Akiyama Ryo from Millenniummon, why the hell those idiots felt only one person should continually deal with Millenniummon and all his incarnations I will never understand. " Stratus snaps.

" I never agreed to that but you know how the others are, especially the ruler of the south. I wish I could send Ryo some help, he technically is supposed to be one of mine until he was co-opted for Millenniummon duty. " Fanglongmon states.

Stratus sighs, " The other sovereigns have taken liberties with my absence due to my rebirth. Azulongmon, Baihumon, and Ebonwumon aren't that bad, it's that damn over grown flaming chicken of the south that I continually wish to throttle. The Celestials aren't that bad either. Ryo does deserve some help with all of this but, I don't quite know what to do about that yet. "

Infinity Mountain:

" Howling Blaster! "

" Meteor Wing! "

" Harpoon Torpedo! "

The three attacks slam into Devimon from different sides and send him reeling, " Bellow Blaster! " Shoutmon was quick to capitalize on the opening that was afforded to them along with Youkomon.

" Jaenryu! "

" Vee Nova Blast! "

Devimon careens backwards as the next round of attacks hit him and Dorulumon has already moved to behind the evil angel, " Drill Bit Blitz! "

" Nova Blast! "

" Electro Shocker! "

" Needle Spray! "

" Hand of Fate! "

" Fist of the Beast King! "

" Seismic Speaker! "

Devimon impacts into the ground, sending shockwaves under the feet of the Digidestined. Serena, closer to the edge that the others curses as the ground breaks beneath her, managing to twist so she could grab on to a protruding rock, then she starts to spin around and manages to get back onto solid ground, barely. The digimon all launch one final attack and Devimon is gone. Serena drops to her knees, " May I just say I do not want a final battle to take place at the top of a goddamned mountain again. "

" Beastmon is probably the only one of us digimon that would have been able to pull off what you just did, Serena. " Shoutmon says.

Serena gives him a withering glare, " My cousin's partner or not I can and will prank the ever loving hell out of you, Shoutmon. "

" Taiki, what is it with you and being surrounded by scary females? " Shoutmon asks.

Taiki grins at this, " Unlike most males I can generally keep from getting yelled at, except in Angie's case. I continually overdo it and get yelled at by her. "

Shoutmon shudders, Hinomoto Angie could be quite terrifying when she put her mind to it. She was younger than Taiki yet she acted more like his older sister than anything else. Things were going to get messy before this was all over, Shoutmon could feel it, which was why he wasn't complaining about being brought in to help with this situation. Then there happened to be the fact that one of the kids happened to be his partner's cousin.

Time Gates:

Aurista and Pluto continue to look into Daisuke and Serena's past to see what else had been screwed with. The fact that their lives had been so thoroughly messed with meant that they had to check and make sure no one else had been fucked with royally. Mother and daughter are startled when Sailor Destiny arrives, " Lady Destiny is about ready to start breathing fire, having the hime and Miracles screwed with in this manner has her pissed off, they're both two of her champions and she is not thrilled with what has been done to them in this dimension. "

Both wince, " Hell, this is going to turn into a clusterfuck, I know it was Serenity the IV's doing for the hime. With Daisuke we still don't know what or who caused that. " Aurista states.

" This problem has been cropping up in several dimensions, the Child Who Lived, Saotome Ranma, Uzumaki Naruto, the Hime, Daisuke…they all get fucked with. Lady Destiny wants answers, I can't say as I blame her but, how do we find said answers for this dimension? " Sailor Destiny says.

Pluto grimaces, " The queen is responsible for the hime, we know that much. Now, we need to find the rest of the answers, quickly, this needs to come to a stop. "

Destiny Hall:

Lady Destiny snarls angrily, Miracles had tried to kill himself in one dimension when he was eight. What the hell was going on with her champions! If she ever found out whom was fucking with them like this…she tries to calm herself down. Thankfully Daisuke or Davis as he preferred was where he could get the emotional support he needed at the moment, Serena had her other half with her and she knew come hell or high water Tai would stay by her side, so would her cousin, Kudo Taiki. Maybe she would even have Tai, Serena, and Davis become a part of the Hunt next year so Davis can get more of a support system before he became the leader of his own group. Tagiru would definitely support Davis and so would Taiki, especially once the truth became known.

Infinity Mountain:

The kids all turn their attention to a rainbow pillar of light and listen to the old looking being in the pillar. Taiki frowns at this but he and Serena get started on building a raft immediately and with Dorulumon's tail they'd be able to make some pretty decent time too. The digimon load up Serena's back pack again and they also all take the time to eat. Serena tosses a water bottle to Taiki, " It's spelled to refill automatically, grandma thought of everything. Well everything she could in three days' worth of time. "

" Man, why can't I get the cool demon hunting grandma. " Taiki mutters as the raft comes together while Matt and the others argue. TK, Tai, Davis, Patamon, Agumon, Veemon, and Leomon were helping to build the raft.

Tai snorts, " You have the cool demon hunting cousin. "

Taiki blinks, " I'll grant you that now, Kamiya, we need to talk. "

Tai's brown eyes widen, " I already have that speech and the subsequent threats memorized, Taiki, I happen to have a little sister. "

Serena rolls her eyes, " Taiki, revisit this when I'm fourteen. "

Tai groans, " That's in two years, Serena. "

" So? " Serena says.

Tai rolls his eyes, " You are quite evil, aren't you? "

" Vindictive, yes, evil, no. " Serena quips.

Davis rolls his eyes at the flirting already going on between them, " Are you two going to flirt or work on the raft? "

" Watch it, otouto. " Tai warns him.

" What, I'm not allowed to have fun at your expense, Tai-nii? If I'm not allowed to tease you who is. " Davis asks him.

Tai sighs at this, " This is the thanks I get for teaching you how to play soccer and running interference between you and Jun? "

Davis grins, " Younger siblings are duty bound to tease their older siblings no matter what. I'm not crazy enough to tease Serena too much, Tai-nii, I am not pissing off the Kitsune, thank you very much. "

Taiki's gray eyes widen slightly, his little cousin was Kitsune, well, there may be some collaboration between the Trap King and the Kitsune soon. Once the other kids have finally decided to go to Server they set sail, Dorulumon powering their raft while Serena gets some rest curled up against Tai and Falcomon curls up near the pair of them. Taiki decided he would wait for that chat, right now they were just friends. Tai was apparently a friend his cousin needed desperately too. He had seen how she kept the others at a distance, he wasn't because apparently she trusted him. He really needed to get the story about his cousin's comment on decent family yet he knew she was going to avoid that conversation for as long as she possibly could.

Right at that moment they get eaten and that leads them to destroying a black gear and getting their tags, only Taiki didn't have one but, that was to be expected.
