Chapter 13
Continent of Server:
Serena is currently nestled into Tai's side, sound asleep, having Taiki and his team nearby meant she could relax. Tai has an arm wrapped around her so as to keep her steady as they ride on Whamon to reach Server. When they arrived Renamon digivolves to Youkomon Tai can just shift Serena and ride down to the ground on her. Dorulumon lets Mimi ride him down while the others jump down. Tai slides off of Youkomon and switches Serena around to carry her behind his back. They could let her sleep for now, Davis was sticking close to him which wasn't really surprising. Renamon devolves before going off to scout out the situation. Whamon had told them about a Koromon Village so she was just going to make sure of what they had been told. Falcomon keeps alert so as to protect his parents while the others wait for the vixen to return.
Taiki just observes his cousin with Tai for the moment, she looked so at peace in that moment. When Renamon returns she tells them that a bunch of Pagumon have taken over the Koromon Village, " Leave finding the Koromon to me. " Taiki says, " I have an entire team of Digimon to keep me safe. Just go along with the Pagumon for the moment. Besides I think you all could use a good cleaning. You can also take the time to stock up on some more food. "
" Sounds good to me. " Tai admits, nodding to Renamon to lead on while Taiki and his team go exploring.
Tai wakes Serena up when they reach the village and she goes with Sora and Mimi to get cleaned up while the guys go in another direction. Sora and Mimi stare in stupefaction when they see how long Serena's hair actually is. The girls help her wash her hair out while she cleans the rest of herself off before Serena pulls out the hair care products she had added to her back pack. Mimi takes charge of her hair, brushing it out, spraying it with anti-frizz spray, and then whipping it up into a braid while weaving an orange ribbon along with a chain of spikes in the braid as well. " Serena, how did your hair get so long and luscious anyhow? "
" I can cut two feet off, daily mind you, and it will grow back the instant I let my hair down again. The rest of it is just the proper products. " Serena says.
" Now, what is going on with you and Tai? " Mimi asks, grinning wickedly.
Serena gives her a deadpanned look, " My best friend can't get info like that out of me unless I volunteer it. What makes you think I'll just tell you, Tachikawa-san? "
Mimi blinks even as Sora laughs while helping herself to some of the anti-frizz spray as well, " She's got you there, Mimi. "
Serena smiles as she starts applying lavender scented lotion to her legs while Mimi grabs some honeysuckle scented lotion while Sora grabs rose scented, " It's nice to actually act like a girl again, even if only for a little while. " Sora admits.
" I've at least been putting lotion on my arms every day. " Serena says as she proceeds up her body with the lotion until she needs Mimi to do her back while she does Sora's for her. Once Mimi has the lotion applied to Serena's back she sits in front of Sora to get lotion applied to her back. " Why do you have so many lotions in your back pack anyhow, Serena? " Sora asks her.
" I like a lot of scents and my preferences change on a whim. " Serena admits, " I also have sweet pea as well. "
" Ooh, you wanted to really be prepared, so have you noticed if Tai has a scent preference? " Mimi asks Serena.
" Lily Vanilla. " Serena answers absentmindedly and then her eyes fly open in shock, " Shit, you're sneakier than you look. Well played, Tachikawa-san. "
Mimi giggles at this as the girls get dressed once more. Serena turns a walkover to get the kinks out and then heads out to find Falcomon waiting for her. She hands him some fruit to eat while walking off with him to gather more food, they needed to make sure they had enough food to last them if they ended up in an area without food, hence why she always stocked up. Serena had to admit Mimi was much more intelligent than she portrayed herself as if she was able to get her to own up to something like that so easily. She hadn't even realized she had noticed the scent Tai preferred on her.
It wasn't long before Tai joined her, having just barely gotten away from Matt and his uncomfortable line of questioning. " How was your time with the girls? " Tai asks her.
" Mimi is much more slyly intelligent than I realized. " Serena admits, " The guys also bugging you about 'our relationship'? "
" Only Matt, let me guess, Mimi for you. " Tai asks her.
" Yeah, why can't we just not label things. Friends works for me. "
Tai smirks, " Only because you don't want to deal with Girl Talk. "
Serena rolls her eyes at him, " Careful, you don't know where my cousin may be, Tai. "
Tai sighs as Serena points that out. He'd realized while they were in the cave that he felt more than friendship for the female blonde. Now she had an older cousin around to act as a damned chaperone if he ever got up the courage to act on said feelings. Serena can feel his frustration at the fact that Taiki was now around even if he was also a boon to them in their current situation.
Taiki was currently freeing the Koromon from their cages behind a waterfall while Shoutmon, Ballistamon, and Dorulumon dealt with the guard Gazimon. He downloads them into his Fusion Loader to make it easier to get them away from the area when he feels the ground shake. He races outside of the cave to see what looked like an orange monkey singing while also beating down on his team, " Shoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, Digi Fuse! "
" Shoutmon! "
" Ballistamon! "
" Dorulumon! "
" Digi Fuse! " all three cry out in unison.
" Shoutmon Times Three! "
" Varuma Boomerang! "
" Concert Crush! "
The two attacks collide in midair, exploding upon contact, Taiki quickly digi fuses Starmon and the Pickmonz to give Times Three the Star Sword to fight back with as well. Etemon sneaks up behind Times Three to hit him with a Dark Network attack before slamming a Concert Crush attack home as well, causing the Digi Fusion to come undone. Taiki snarls under his breath even as he calls out WhiteKnightmon and the WhitePawnchessmon as well. Like hell he was going to lose to some Elvis wannabe. He recalls the others into his Fusion Loader and starts thinking quickly before flicking his goggles. While Taiki implements his plan he has no idea he is being observed by a far worse threat from outside the Digital World's normal space, Apocalymon.
The evil digimon knew that boy was a major threat to him so he had to be eliminated along with Tenacity and Miracles. Fanglongmon needed to learn when to butt out of affairs that didn't concern him. Of course, he has no idea that Sailor Stratus is active and will take any threats against Taiki very badly. Should he go after Tai, well, even if Stratus hadn't awakened him as her Chosen Champion yet Kamiya Taichi did happen to be her champion.
Time Gates:
Pluto swears so harshly that she has her mother and cousin both looking at her in shock, " Daughter, what's wrong? "
" I just discovered something else that has been fucked around with, or should I say someone else. " Pluto answers her mother.
" Who? " Sailor Destiny asks her.
Pluto stands aside to let aunt and niece watch what she had discovered unfold. The curses they let forth justified Pluto's reaction, " Well hell, this really throws us a curveball, doesn't it? " Sailor Destiny says.
Aurista rakes a hand through her viridian hair in frustration, what they were watching was even more abhorrent than what had been done to Daisuke. Kamiya Hikari had been deliberately poisoned in such a way that her immune system would be fucked over for years when she was a mere month old. They couldn't see whom had done it but the fact remained that Kari wasn't supposed to have a compromised immune system. The more they looked into things the more complicated the situation got. Aurista puts in a call to Mizuno Saeko, the reincarnated queen of Mercury to look Kari over after filling her in on the situation fully. The swearing rant the Mercurian Queen went on was actually quite impressive.
Once Aurista had that taken care she finds Sailor Destiny has pulled out a tablet and started writing down everything they had discovered had been screwed with so far. This was a concerted effort to fuck with the way things were supposed to go. Lady Destiny would be spitting nails when she received the preliminary report from them. Aurista noticed the next thing that was messed with, " Shit, this isn't good. "
" No fucking kidding, Auntie. " Sailor Destiny snaps when they see Kudo Taiki's father be murdered and then replaced.
The mere implications of that sent shudders down all of their spines, Kudo Taiki happened to be the hime's cousin, Kari her cousin from her last life, Daisuke her brother...Pluto's thoughts short circuit, " We need to check on Saturn's reincarnation now, everyone that is being fucked with in this dimension is related to the hime in some way currently or previously. "
Sailor Destiny immediately looks in on Saturn and sees what was about to go down. Her eyes narrow, " Cousin we need to awaken her, now, or she'll end up possessed by an evil entity only second to a major enemy the hime will face once she accepts her senshi duty once more. "
" Send Current to do so, we can't leave the Time Gates until we figure this all out. We will get to the fucking bottom of this because I do not like the fact that someone is making a concerted effort to screw with the flow of time and events. " Pluto says, her garnet eyes flashing in her righteous fury.
While her cousin is doing that mother and daughter are still looking carefully through events though they focused more immediately on those related by blood to the hime in either life time. Once Pluto had realized the connection everything had crystalized for her. " Could the Queen have orchestrated all of this, Mother? "
" No, not something on this large of scale, those of us in her court made damned certain that she could only effect those of the Moon. Saturn is the hime's paternal half-sister, Kari she might have had something to do with, Daisuke however is the true successor to the Earth's Power, not Endymion. He was Prince Damacles back then, the hime's paternal half-brother and her current full blooded brother. No, this is not the Queen's doing for all of it unless she made a deal with some entity, which I can see her possibly doing. We find everything messed up in the present time before we follow her actions from back then. " Aurista states.
Digiworld:
Taiki crosses his arms in front of his face to shield himself from the most recent debris cloud only to go sailing backwards into a tree, his head snapping back hard enough to knock him out. That was when Tai and Serena show up as they had noticed the explosions, Renamon had digivolved in transit while Greymon was on the way. Sora and Izzy had taken the cue Agumon's digivolution signified having their partners digivolve as well, " Jaenryū! " Youkomon calls out even as the human pair race over to Taiki. Both carefully check him over for injuries, finding only the lump on the back of his head.
Youkomon dodges Etemon's Concert Crush attack while WhiteKnightmon and the WhitePawnchessmon go to protect Taiki by erecting a shield. " Meteor Wing! "
" Electro Shocker! "
Birdramon barrel rolls away from a Concert Crush while Kabuterimon gains some height to dodge a Dark Network attack. Youkomon surrounds herself with her Fire Ball technique in order to create a makeshift Dragon Wheel attack. She leaps up and somersaults in midair to avoid the next attack sent her way while a Howling Blaster slams into Etemon announcing the arrival or Garurumon. " Who the hell is this poser anyhow? " Matt asks.
" I'm Etemon, baby. "
" Hand of Fate! " Angemon calls out, flying in.
Etemon decides a tactical retreat is in order while Joe looks over Taiki, also checking the reaction of his pupils, sighing in relief when the older boy had only been knocked out. They get him up onto Garurumon while the others ride their Digimon back to the village. Once they fill in the ones whom had stayed behind since Sora, Izzy, and TK had sent their partners off to help they get Taiki comfortable before relaxing themselves, it had been a long day and only promised to get longer.
