Chapter 69 Home and Abroad
The train ride home went by quickly for Naruto, since he had fallen asleep almost instantly after the train had pulled out of the station. Maybe it was the rocking of the train as it moved down the tracks, maybe it was just the fact he was leaving the battlefield and leaving the stress of that behind. Even so his sleep was not peaceful as he would have liked as he recalled the battle in his mind, he didn't remember the faces of the people he killed instead it was the moment right after the battle when he looked down at the blade. The white Aldhard blade was covered from tip to hilt with red blood, blood that ran down the blade before covering his metal gallants.
Naruto opened his blue eyes only to see that they were passing through the outer gate of Nadeji. Since they had designed, the city with railroads in mind there was a special gate built into the wall for trains to use so that they did not have to get in the way of foot traffic on the road, which ran parallel to the train tracks. The sliding door at the front of the car opened as two ninjas walked into the car, they were both dressed in standard day uniforms. They did not look that different then ninjas in any villages up North however they had short swords hanging from their hips.
They went down checking the names of everyone in the car with a passenger list, when they reached Naruto they instantly snapped to attention.
"Lord Onikage." said one of the two
"At ease." ordered Naruto as he rubbed some of the sleep from his eyes "What time is it?"
"Quarter till three." answered the second of the two soldiers, Naruto blinked he had been asleep for almost fourteen hours.
"Sir, is there anything we can do for you?" inquired the first
"No, anything happening here?" inquired Naruto
"Not really sir, the people are still celebrating the victories at night and cursing the cleanup process from the navy battle." reported the second man as Naruto nodded his head, he had listened to some of the reports. They had won the battle but now they had the task of clearing the waterway of the sunken ships and floating remains of ships and bodies.
"Anyone hurt?" inquired Naruto
"Some fried nerves and the like when the ships first appeared other than that nothing I have heard of sir." reported the first man as Naruto nodded his head.
"Good, well I don't want to stop you from carry out your duties." Said Naruto
"Sir, I believe that the village is hosting another party tonight I am sure having you back will be a welcomed site." offered the second man as Naruto closed his eyes for a moment, part of him wanted to snap at this kid. They were celebrating like the war had been won when in fact they had only won two battles, something that they had never done in the long history of the land of Granite.
"Thanks but I haven't seen my kids in a while and I would rather spend some time with my family," said Naruto
"Totally understandable sir." said the soldier before moving off to check the other cars.
"You sleep ok, Naruto-kun?" inquired a voice as Naruto turned around to see Sakura and Hinata standing there with some food in hand.
"As best as I could." answered Naruto "I just want to go home, see the kids."
"Well it will only be a couple more minutes," stated Sakura as both of them sat down across from him as the train kept moving.
Hundreds of miles away from the train which was carrying Naruto, Sakura, Hinata and others back to their home another train full of the survivors from the battle at black snake pass was heading North back toward the ninja nations. A lot of them had their wounds covered with thick bandages, others had crud casts over broken limbs and a handful of others had died from their wounds. In the front of the train in a private car lied the Tsuchikage Onoki. He had somehow survived the attack which had claimed so many lives but not without great cost.
The most senior living ninja was Tsume Inuzuka had assume leadership but all that really entailed was keeping everyone that she could alive while they headed North. Tsume looked down at Onoki and winced a little, he was hard to look at. One of his legs was blown off from the knee down while the other leg was missing a foot. His right arm was totally gone and he was badly burned along that side of his body. All his hair had been burned off as well and he had yet to wake up so there was no way to tell how badly the blasts had effected his brain.
"This is just horrible," stated Tsume as she looked toward one of the other ninjas in the room "Lee, how did your team make it without getting hurt?"
"No real reason to lie to you, Shino warned us seconds before the attack came and we were able to get into a small cut in the rock face," explained Lee "We then watched as whatever hit us went off."
"Some may say you're in league with them because you got out alive." said Tsume "I don't but you have to be ready for that to happen Lee, your friendship with them may have saved your lives but you are not in league with them."
"I admit I wish this whole thing would end," confirmed Lee as Tsume nodded her head.
"I understand, I found out I have three granddaughters." explained Tsume as Lee titled his head a bit as Tsume pulled a letter from her vest and took out the photo. She held it out for Lee to see and it showed Kiba and the former ninja from the Lightening Karui standing in front of a house, both of them where dressed nicely with fur-lined cloths a stable of the Inuzuka clan. Each one of them held a little baby girl while another rested in a crib between the two of them. Kiba could make out Akamaru beside Kiba and there were another three large wolves. One wolf was beside Kauri and two lying down beside the crib. "I am a grandmother and I have never even meet this woman?"
"I have, she seams hotheaded but kind in her own way." explained Lee as he flipped through the photos it showed personal photos of the girls. Two of them had the red hair of their mother while the oldest had the deep brown hair of her father. "Beautiful kids."
"I only wish that they hadn't been born with demons," explained Tsume as Lee raised an eyebrow. "I want my family together and the demons means we are separated."
"I believe that time has passed and the only way we can ever spend time our friends and families is if this war comes to an end which it will not any time soon." Counted Lee as the train kept moving.
Back in the land of Granite the entire Namikaze family was finally back under the safe roof. After getting a warm and welcoming hug and kiss from Ino they had gathered in the living room and let the kids play. It was not really anything much considering their ages, which was just over 18 months but since demons age slower they were only about 9 months old. They were all sitting up now and crawling and in the case of the oldest Leilani who had taken her first steps before they had left for the conference.
"Such beautiful children." said Ino's mother as she picked up the red headed Minato Haruno Namikaze.
"I am just happy he didn't get my pink hair," stated Sakura with a laugh "Pink hair on a boy would be weird."
"I agree with you there." said Ino as the raven haired Yuina Hyuuga Namikaze played with a small ball nearby. She was almost as shy as her mother was but it was the only one of the kids to get Naruto's birthmarks on her cheeks but she only had two instead of three.
"Will Yuina get the Byakugan?" inquired Ino's mother as she looked at the child.
"Possible, not totally sure." explained Hinata "From what I remember without the bird cage seal the chances that the Byakugan being passed on by the mother is about 50/50. It is only 100% in males which is why the elders where always more worried about putting birdcage seals on boys then girls, to keep the clan's secrets safe."
"That is the one issue which hasn't really been addressed yet." Added Ino as she looked around the room "I know my clan's secret Justus just like I know you know yours Hinata what do we teach the kids? Do we teach them both or do we only teach them their mother's clans secrets? Do all three learn Namikaze clan Justus or just little Minato since he is a Namikaze while the girls can take our clan names when they get older."
"I don't think we should force clans to follow a forced guild line but let the parents' decide." advised Naruto as he picked up Yuina "If any of our children what to be ninjas I will teach them everything I know."
"I don't have any clan Justus but I plan to do the same with what I know from Tsunade." Added Sakura
"Almost all of my clan's Justus all come from the Byakugan without that it is impossible to do them." explained Hinata as Ino nodded her head.
"I understand that but if little Yuina wants to learn some Yamanaka clan Justus I will gladly teach her, same for Minato. They are all our children." added Ino with a smile
"Tell you four what, what if I take care of the kids tonight. I know you four haven't been together in a while," offered Ino's mom, Naruto didn't really know what to say he knew what she was offering to do and she knew what would happen. "I'll take them to my house."
"Your house? I thought you were staying here?" inquired Naruto as she laughed.
"No, since my daughter is the Daimyo she got me a house. It is nothing special but great for me." explained Ino's mother "Besides when these kids get older I can spoil them rotten and then send them back to you to deal with."
"Thanks mom." confirmed Ino
The mood in the Leaf village was a mixture of shock, surprise, sadness and anger as the train carrying the Hokage arrived in the newly built railroad station. There was a mass of people mostly the friends and family members of those who had gone off to war. They swarmed toward Hanabi as the ANBU and Jonin tried to form a defensive line of some kind.
"Listen." said Hanabi as she raised her hand "Listen, I know you are all worried about the fate of your loved ones and we are working on finding out what happened. In the meantime, we must redouble our efforts to defeat the demons. We shall reform and march on the demons and with our combined might and that of all the other ninja nations we shall be victorious."
Hanabi's speech did not stop people from yelling their questions at her as she passed by the crowds of people. She turned to one of her Jonin commanders before whispering, "Find out what the hell happened back there."
While the Leaf and other ninja nations where trying to figure out what had happened the land of Granite was in full party mode. All day train full of soldiers, ninjas and knights had arrived in the twin cities and everyone wanted to celebrate the victory. A few people made note that their Daimyo and their Kage could not be found by that was explained by them wanting to spend time with their family. Most people did not even take note; they were too busy either drinking, partying, eating or all three.
For Naruto he was enjoying something different, Ino had used some of the strings, which came from being Daimyo and had gotten one of the private enclosures in the hot spring bathhouse located outside the city. The private areas had a large stone lined pool full of the hot spring water, which flowed naturally in the area.
The room was filled with steam but it felt good to Naruto as he rested on the underwater bench, which was attached to the stonewalls of the pool. The sound of footsteps on the ground around the pool caused Naruto to open his eyes; he titled his head up to see Ino, Sakura and Hinata all with towels wrapped around themselves standing over him.
"You do know the towels aren't really needed?" inquired Naruto as the three of them got into the water, Sakura to his right, Ino in front of him and Hinata to his left.
"You know the one thing that they don't allow is be totally nude in the pool." stated Ino "This feels so good."
"Yes." Agreed Hinata as she leaned back a bit letting her long hair down into the water.
"Wine?" inquired Sakura as she reached behind her where two bottles were waiting with glasses.
"When have I ever turned down wine?" inquired Ino
"When your pregnant." laughed Hinata as she took the glass of wine offered by Sakura.
"Well I don't plan for that to happen again until my little girl is a couple years old," explained Ino as she took a drink, as all four of them enjoyed the hot water and the time together.
Far to the North in the Land of Sound Kabuto was pouring himself a glass of the best and most expensive brand of Brandy. He had hoped that the demons would put up a fight and inflict some death on the ninja nations but he had never expected them to do what the reports said they had done.
"To the demons." said Kabuto as he lifted his glass in victory, the longer the war went on the more money that the ninja nations would have to spend to supply their forces. On top of that they wouldn't be able to take on missions which was how the ninja nations paid for themselves and since the Daimyo took 15% from every mission the Daimyo's where not getting the money they normally would. A normal person may cut back on their spending but the Daimyos is not normal people and they wouldn't cut back on spending. They had to maintain their little game of one up man ship when it came to having the best items
In fact, the daimyo of the land of water had just gotten a loan from the Sound Bank to pay for a custom designed and hand built 150-foot long yacht. Then since he was getting a new yacht, he had to redo the dock at his beachfront home. It would not be long until the other Daimyo's learned what the Water Daimyo did and would try to one up him in some way. The longer the war went on and the less money the Daimyos got from the ninja nations the more they would go to him for loans. In time he would do what Orochimaru could only dream of, he would have total power over the ninja nations and all without drawing a single blade himself.
The heat from the hot springs while perfectly relaxing was not what the four of them really wanted to do all day, since the kids where at one of their grandparents it freed them up. Naruto had left a clone behind to set everything up so when they returned home they found a romantic dinner waiting and the candles already lite in the bedroom.
"Great cooking Naruto-kun." said Sakura as they finished the dinner.
"Yes, now why don't you go upstairs and give us a few minutes?" added Ino as all three women grinned.
"Alright." confirmed Naruto as he headed up stairs leaving the three of them behind.
Naruto walked into the bedroom and instantly double-checked to make sure all the candles were still burning and that the candles could not fall over. Burning down the house while having sex was not something anyone wanted. He then turned on the soft music on the player and waited and waited. He sat down on the bed and looked at the door as he waited. He was about to head downstairs when he suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap him up from behind and pull him back.
"Hello, Naruto-kun." said Sakura into his ear, as she did a play bite on it.
"How?" inquired Naruto as another figure moved around and sat on his right knee. Naruto smiled as he looked at Ino, she was dressed in a simple black number. There was nothing over the top about it but it allowed Naruto a perfect view of her. She straddled his knee and leaned forward a bit and kissed both him and Sakura before pulling back a bit.
"Remember when we designed this place we built an emergency hidden passage." added Hinata as she came from the other side. She was dressed in white, with a bow resting in the middle of the lingerie top with lace frills. Her top was almost overflowing as she sat on his other knee.
"Now…don't worry about that anymore Naruto-kun." said Sakura from behind with that Naruto found himself being pushed back onto the bed by Ino, while Sakura pulled him back. At the same moment, Hinata was moving to undo his pants. "It is time that we started really enjoying this night."
Well I hope you like this chapter, thanks Wilkins75.
