Chapter 82 The Final Act

Ino Yamanaka Namikaze sat in the video broadcast room above the indoor training field, she took a breath as she checked her watch. She had sent the request for a conference half an hour ago, the question would be if the other kages answered her call. Finally, the multiple TV screens in front of her turned on allowing her to see the faces of different Daimyo. At first, it was only Daimyos from minor nations like the land of Tea, then the median size powers began to appear the Daimyo from the Land of Grass. Lastly the five Daimyos from the major powers of the land of Fire, Wind, Lightening, Earth and finally the Daimyo from the land of water. On some levels, Ino would hardly call that man a Daimyo considering his nation was in a civil war and that with no records of what he actually owned he in sense owned nothing because he couldn't prove that he actually owned it. Then again, Ino would hardly call these men gathered before her, men.

"Lady Daimyo, I must admit I didn't expect this call." said the Fire Daimyo with a cocky grin on his face. "Have you come to offer terms for your surrender."

"Surrender?" asked Ino as she wondered what dream world the fire daimyo lived in. The Leaf was destroyed, armies had marched through the land of fire during everything that got in its way. There was no logical reason why any sane man would be cocky.

"Yes." Confirmed the Fire Daimyo

"Actually I called for this meeting to discuss recent developments in the field." explained Ino "I have received word from our armies in the field that the combined forces of your nations has been defeated and captured. We have the Hokage and the Tsunikage captured the Raikage and General Mufine have been killed along with thousands of ninjas and samuria."

That got the Daimyo's attention; they had not expected that news. It was clear that at first they did not believe it, then just as they had planned a new broadcast joined in on the Daimyo's network. Suddenly the image of Naruto Namikaze appeared on the screens of all the Daimyos.

"What is the meaning of this!" yelled the Earth Daimyo "This is Channel is for Daimyo only."

"We thought you may want to see the effects of the battle." Explained Naruto in a semi staticy voice, field broadcasters where never as good as fixed broadcasters because they had to be small enough to be moved. With that the camera moved away from Naruto and allowed the Daimyos including Ino to see the effect of the battle. The camera had to be on the cliff side which gave them a view of everything, the sandstone was now blood red. She could actually see the blood flowing down the rockface as if it was water, there where islands of dead bodies lieing in that river of blood. All of them either had arrows sticking out of them or had limbs missing.

Ino tried to hide her smile, tried and failed the men gathered before her all had a stunned faces. The Earth Daimyo actually disappeared for a moment followed moments later by sounds of throwing up. Other Daimyos looked away, they couldn't take the look of the blood.

"Why do you show us such horrible images." Said the Fire Daimyo

"This is war, a war you started I remind you." said Ino, maybe it was because she had trained as a ninja and saw battle while these men hadn't but she understood what war was really like. "We didn't want any of this but you sent your ninjas against us and this is the aftermath."

"We will get our revenge." Snapped the Lightening Daimyo

"With what army?" inquired Ino "Your armies are crushed, we could march on any village on Earth and take it with ease. Will you all grow a pair between you all and go out and fight when your guards all run in fear. Or will you get in a uniform and fight instead of ordering people to do it for you?"

The Daimyos said nothing, just as she expected. They had no idea how to respond, she had just insulted their manhood or lack of one.

"What do you want?" inquired the water Daimyo

"We want peace." Answered Ino "That is all we have always wanted."

"Well I guess we can discuss terms that we can come to." Said the fire daimyo

"You don't understand, there are no setting terms it is only giving in to our terms." said Ino as the Daimyo's blinked. "You made us fight; we are going to get our due."

"I would imagine your freedom would be enough." Said the fire Daimyo

"Then you are a fool, our freedom was never threatened now we will get what we want." Said Ino with a smile which told everyone who was in charge. "Now recommend that we meet face to face to discuss the issues in a more ciliviated manner. Since we are the winning nation I recommend that we meet here in 10 days."

"And if we refuse?" asked the Wind Daimyo

"Well then the army will hold a bone fire and use all the documents we took from the sound bank which record what you actually own as starters." explained Ino before looking at the water daimyo. He had massive trouble ever since his records had been destroyed by Sasuke in a raid on his home. "Or would you all like to deal with the same issues your counterpart from the land of water is dealing with?"

"Fine we will be there in 10 days, will you assure our safety?" inquired the Fire Daimyo

"Of course, we have all but ended this war there is no reason for any more bloodshed." said Ino with a smile. "I look forward to welcoming you to our nation."

There was nothing else said as the Daimyo cut the connections leaving Ino sitting in the room with a smile on her face.

With their battle over the army of the Land of Granite and the knights of the Land of Animals headed south with the captured ninjas and samurai of the allied Shinobi force back to the city they had just left, Celin. Due to the injuries it took them four days to reach the city which would have normally only taken a day and a half. When they arrived they found that the cities defenders had all but left and they where unopposed as they marched through the city toward the railroad line or the docks. Since the port rested on the part of the city which sat in the neutral nation of the Land of Savanah the ships from their third allied the Land of Meteors was welcomed. It took another day to get everyone onto the ships and trains and like that the army headed south and home. To the North the smaller force that had been used to make sure that the ninjas believed Sasuke was still heading South had crossed into the neutral nation of the land of Demons. There trains where waiting to take that force homes.

Sitting in the dinning car of one of the many trains heading south sat Hinata Namikaze, she was dinning alone because her husband and sister wife where traveling on a different trains. Sakura being the head medic was on the medical train full of the wounded and Naruto being Naruto did not want to leave until the last ninja was either on the boat or on the train home. Part of her loved that about him but the other part of her hated it.

The door to the dining car opened as Hinata looked up to see her sister stepping into the car, two armed guards standing behind her. Hanabi never asked if she could sit across from her sister, instead she just sat across from her sister. For a while, the two of them sat in silence and just looked at each other.

"I see that the plastic surgeons are as skilled as always." noted Hinata as she looked at her sister's face, a face that she had almost cut clear off. "That scar is not as visible as I thought it would be."

"Glad to see you care." said Hanabi "Considering you're the one who did this to me."

"I do care about you sister, but I care about my daughter and my family more then I care about the part of my family which turned its back on me." countered Hinata as they crossed over the bridge which marked the border between the Land of Bronze and the Land of Granite. "You know when I heard father had died; I was surprised at how little I actually cared."

"Well father was always distance." Defended Hanabi as Hinata gave her a look which told anyone with half a brain how much of an understatement that was. The train passed by the smaller first wall as it moved through Black Snake Pass on it's way to the heart of the Land of Granite. "So you're married as well and with a daughter."

"Yes, I love her and her brother and sister," said Hinata as Hanabi rolled her eyes. "I know you don't approve of me being with both Naruto-kun, Sakura-chan and Ino-chan."

"Seems like something out of a male fantasy." stated Hanabi

"Maybe Naruto-kun may get slightly more enjoyment out of it than any of us but only slightly if at all. Now that I think about it, Ino may actually enjoy it more than even Naruto." admitted Hinata "Besides there are three women for every man so it is either that or nothing at all."

"It is just not right," said Hanabi as Hinata looked out the window as the train passed into the shadow of the massive wall. Hanabi's eyes widened as she passed into the wall, as they train passed through the tunnel the thickness of the wall caused the Hokage's mind to race.

"From everything we know about the geology of this area and the strength of the pure Aldhard which makes up this wall it will stand for at least 1.5 million years with no visible damage," said Hinata with a grin "Some has even said that the mountains will fall before the wall."

"That must have cost you millions," stated Hanabi "Aldhard is expensive."

"It was, hell we have kitchen knives made out of Aldhard." countered Hinata with a grin as the train passed back into sunlight as they passed out from the wall. For a while the two sisters shared only a few words, Hanabi's meal came and gone and yet they had not talked apart from the occasional word noting only small items such as the weather. They left the mountains behind as Hinata sipped on a glass of green tea, her sister was drinking the same thing which didn't surprised either sisters. They had both loved the same type of food since they were kids.

"What the?" asked Hanabi as she looked out the window at the line of people standing by a construction area. The workers wore Leaf ninja gear only they had POW written across the back of the uniform and on an armband. Standing nearby where two guards both of them armed and ready for a fight. As the train kept moving more captured ninjas came into view before finally they passed some kind of construction site.

"You have POW working for you?" asked Hanabi

"Yes." Confirmed Hinata

"That is against all the rules of war!" yelled Hanabi "If we did that…"

She stopped as she saw her sister raise a hand.

"First you would have to get some POW to my knowledge you have never captured a single ninja or knight." started Hinata "Secondly when you declared war on us you said you would kill any demons you captured. Lastly we aren't forcing them to work."

"What do you mean?" asked Hanabi

"We are paying them." Explained Hinata "I admit it isn't the same amount as normal but we are paying them and we let them spend the money on special food they want. If I remember correctly some group of captured ninjas from the land of water had a birthday party with live crabs for dinner that they paid for with money they earned here. Is that wrong of us to do?"

"Maybe the work isn't but whatever your building down there is going to help you in the war," countered Hanabi

"A manmade lake." stated Hinata as Hanabi blinked. "That is an old open air mine and they are smoothing out the rocks before putting in sand. Once done the people will have a nice place to go with their families and enjoy a weekend swimming and fishing."

"Isn't that what your coast is for?" asked Hanabi

"We have little useable coasts which isn't dominated by sharp rocks and towering cliffs." explained Hinata "That coast is used for shipping and the currents are so strong it is dangerous to swim there."

"I see." said Hanabi as they left the ninjas behind.

"I admit that the lake could be used a natural barrier but not much of one." Said Hinata as ninja walked up to her and handed her a note. She opened it up and read the message quickly before nodding her head.

"If I can ask what is that about?" asked the captured Hokage

"Nothing that big, it was just my husband telling me that his train will be leaving in about an hour." explained Hinata as she stood up. "Now Hanabi, I recommend you get some sleep we will arriving in my village just after midnight and I don't want to drag you out of bed. You can sleep after we sign the terms for peace and put this whole thing behind us."

"This will never be behind us, there will always be memories of this war and people who want to kill all you demons." Stated Hanabi as Hinata shrugged.

"So what, I will outlive all of the fools let them drown themselves in hate and hate fades in time." Stated Hinata "I'll be enjoying my time with my family and with any luck that family will kept growing."

Finally, the day had come; everything was set as Naruto along with Ino stood in the train station waiting for the arrival of the Daimyos. Both of them where dressed in their very best, in Naruto's case it was his black and silver Onikage robes with the hilt of his sword poking out of his back shoulder. Ino was dressed in a black kimono with inlays of silver which matched Naruto's, she too was armed but her weapons where not visible but instead hidden in a pouch strapped to her leg. They half feared a trap but the Daimyos would never risk themselves.

"So you ready for this?" asked Naruto

"I am ready for this to be finished," answered Ino as she looked over her shoulder, Queen Eastman was dressed in a white dress with the white raven of her house visible as a brooch around her neck. Beside her dressed in the golden armor of his house was her husband Lord Eastman, he had a sword as well but unlike Naruto's his wasn't made out of Aldhard. He was not expecting a fight so he wore the sword, that had been in his family for six generations. The hilt looked like a phoenix with its wings as the crossbar and everything covered in gold.

The other two members waiting on the platform was the head of the Green Sea Dragons who therefor ruled all of the land of Meteors, he was dressed as if he had just gotten off the boat. His cloths where dirty and stained, he wore two small axes on each hip and wore bare chainmail over his chest. The other man was mayor of the Nadeji who was here to welcome the visiting Daimyos to the city.

All along the train route stood armored knights and ninjas in full combat gear only cleaned to the max, as the train passed the knights pulled their swords as a sign of respect and warning. The ninjas did the same with their own weapons, watching from the train car were the Daimyos who had never seen a show of force like this.

When the train came to a stop the five major Daimyos stepped off the train and looked around at the city before them. It was the equal of any of the cities in the North, maybe it had more stone then normal.

"Welcome to Nadeji and the Land of Granite." greeted Ino to her fellow Daimyo's as their guards and aids came off the train. Ino noticed Captain Yamato standing behind the fire Daimyo which confirmed Shino's information that he had been assigned to protect the Daimyo.

"Lady Yamanaka." said the Fire Daimyo with venom in his voice.

"Lady Daimyo, or Lady Namikaze." corrected Ino annoyed that they still weren't showing respect to her. "Now shall we take you to your hotel and tomorrow when the Daimyo's from the other nations arrive we can move to Shimagakure."

"Wait this isn't your village?" asked the Earth Daimyo

"No, there is another village across the bridge," explained Ino "Now get some rest you are in for a busy day tomorrow."

Well this is a transition chapter and while it is shorter than normal I hope you enjoyed it. Now until next time please keep reading, Thanks Wilkins75.
