Misty took Brock's hand and they walked up to the stage above the aquarium. She took the mic and waved to the crowd as they started to cheer.
"Hi." she said awkwardly. "Thank you all for coming to see our show today." She paused and looked at Brock, who grinned at her. She continued. "I'm sorry for not being able to perform in the show today...and actually, for the rest of this year."
Excited chatter turned into concerned whispers as people in the audience began to look worried. Misty looked hesitant, unsure what to say next. Brock, however, had a grin so huge it was bordering on inappropriate. He was starting to fidget with excitement, before he finally shook and grabbed the mic away from Misty.
"We're having a BABY!" he shouted, thowing a fist up into the air. Misty sweatdropped, then smiled and embraced him. The audience erupted in cries of surprise and cheers. Ash smiled and clapped, and James, after recovering from the shock, clapped as well.
Jessie looked confused. "Wait? What's going on here?! Twerp, why is she having that one's baby?"
Ash gave her a deadpan look. "I thought you would know that better than me..."
James pointed at Ash. "Ooh, good comeback, twerp."
"Stop calling me that."
"Never."
"Stop bantering!" Jessie smacked James in the back of the head before continuing. "What I mean is, why aren't YOU the one up there?"
Ash rolled his eyes. "Maybe because I'm not married to her, and Brock is?"
"They're MARRIED? But WHY?"
Ash glared at her. James put a finger to his chin thoughtfully. "Well, this twerp is heroic but dense with eyes only for Pikachu, and that twerp is a more gentle, romantic type, who ca cook, clean, and sew...with rock hard...abs."
"That last comment." Jessie pulled on James' ear. "Was weird and unnecessary."
"Plus..." Meowth sighed. "Ya know what dey say...it's lonely at da top...hey, look at Superman."
Jessie fumed. "None of that matters! They were supposed to fall...in LOVE!" Jessie clasped her hands together with hearts in her eyes.
Ash's eyebrow twitched. "Uh, sorry to interrupt your totally creepy discussion...but I actually do have someone..."
Jessie, James and Meowth smirked. "Uh-huh." they said in unison.
Ash frowned. "Guys, could you do me a favor and disappear for another yen years? Or forever?"
Misty and Brock came back to their seats. Ash smiled at them. "Hey! Congratulations, you two! You must be excited!"
Misty smiled. "Thanks Ash...we are! But don't worry, we'll still be at the wedding."
Jessie butted in the conversation. "Wedding? What wedding?" James tried to hide behind Roxy and looked ridiculous doing it.
"Ash's wedding." Misty replied matter-of-factly. "It's in a few months."
Jessie shook her head. "But you already married Dr. Twerp over here. So who is HE going to get married to? Pikachu?"
Ash and Pikachu glared. "Shut up already!" "Pika!"
"Can people do that? Marry a pokemon?" James asked from his hiding spot.
Everyone stopped and looked at him.
"Um, I'm asking because I honestly don't know?"
Everyone sweatdropped, including the children.
"Meowth, come on here. You would marry a human, right?"
"I would." Meowth replied thoughtfully.
Jessie smacked James again and pitched Meowth up and into the tank. He splashed frantically before climbing out, finding a towel, and hurrying back to the chair shivering and glaring at Jessie.
"Stop interrupting me!" raged Jessie. "So who is the twerp-bride-to-be?"
"It's Pikachu." Ash replied sarcastically.
"Ha ha, very funny." Jessie fumed.
James gave a less than impressed look. "What's her name? Have we met her?" He said with a smirk.
Ash glared and crossed his arms. "Guess what? It's none of your business, so I'm not gonna tell you."
James whimpered. "But...but...I want to know..."
Pikachu crossed his arms and nodded in agreement with his trainer. "Pika. Chu."
James started to get irritated. "Really...after 10 years, you're still just a twerp."
Ash stuck his tongue out.
"Real mature, twerp." Jessie scoffed.
"Hey Mom, Dad, can you stop picking on Ash Ketchum?" Rochelle said flatly."
Jessie growled. "Be quiet oor I'll throw you in the tank."
Rochelle got starry-eyed. "I wanna go in the tank!"
Jessie sighed. "The show's about to start, so how about we settle this later, twerp? The old fashioned way...with a pokemon battle!"
James sweatdropped. "Jessie..."
The kids all looked at her in shock. Brock and Misty facepalmed.
Rowan shook his head. "Mom...you really don't stand a chance against THE Ash Ketchum..."
Jessie huffed. "Why not? I do have some pretty strong Pokemon. Like Archanine, Cofagrigus..."
"Those are mine.." James mumbled.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOBBUFFET!" declared the blue bob as he popped out of his Pokeball.
"Yes, and you too..." Jessie sighed, returning him to the pokeball.
Ash snickered, and then had a full on belly laugh, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Sounds great...it will be perfect. I'm doing a lecture at Professor Oak's tomorrow, demonstrating battle techniques for this year's new trainers. You can come and help me by showing what a loser looks like!"
Jessie glared at him. "You're on! Prepare to be humiliated!"
James shook his head sadly. "I have this feeling...like deja vu..."
The kids cheered happily. They were going to see THE Ash Ketchum in a REAL battle tomorrow!
