Hey guys here's the next chapter, if your suggestion wasn't used I might be saving it for something else just keep that in mind.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN PJO, HOO, or HP, even if I made a deal with the devil.
Oh well, on with the story I guess.
Draco POV:
I must tell father about this, I mean he purposefully shot that water at me. Once that happens, he will probably will get the same sentence as buckbeak, hopefully. Speaking of that ridiculous hippogriff, we have care of magical creatures, I wonder what atrocious deadly monster Hagrid will show us today.
Well we are heading to that dumb giant's hut, to learn about some stupid creature that deserves to either be killed, enslaved, or just shipped off somewhere and kept away from everyone.
When we get there he is standing outside, in his grimy old clothes. With a giant sized (AN couldn't help myself) grin that he has something special planned for us. Knowing him it will be something extremely, deadly, disgusting, ugly, or some kind of combination of the three.
Well we got to his class, the Gryffindors and Slytherins were all trying to be in the back of the class, and no one wanted to be in this stupid oaf's class. I mean it would just be easier to put the exchange students on display for the class. Heck that would be a better use of the exchange students then allowing them to actually take classes.
Once we finally approached, Hagrid said "Well 'ello, th're students, do the request of 'ead master Dumbledore, I today will be 'eaching you about the merpeople."
Annabeth POV:
As soon as Hagrid said merpeople, Percy turned greener if at all possible and the rest of our friends were smirking trying not to laugh.
Leo said "Well Percy, looks like we'll be learning about your family today. How does it feel to learn about your family and yourself? Him maybe we can finally learn if that brain is really made of seaweed, or if you actually have a brain."
Percy faking pain replied "Ohh repair boy, that hurts me right here." Putting a hand over his heart.
I turn to Percy and say "Don't worry seaweed brain, even if you have a real brain, you'll always be my seaweed brain." I give him a small kiss on the cheek before rushing to catch back up to the class. They at the lake by the time I caught up, Hagrid was trying to get the attention of the merpeople. HE was doing this screeching language, the same one Percy does when his gills are open.
After the third time that happened a water Nymph came up and slapped Percy across the face, later she explained that he was speaking a form of Merperson. What he said was in short a lot of curses, it took him about an hour to learn the actual language. He just had to say what he wanted to in Greek but with his Gills open. It took me a day, a lot of help from the Nymph and maybe a small blessing from my mother. I learned it to.
In short Hagrid was saying "Come here fishy, fishy, fishy, I have some nice food for you." To be honest he was not doing a good job at speaking the Merperson. He actually said dog instead of fish at one point and said at one point he messed up so badly he said instead "Get up here, so I can kill you and eat your flesh."
Percy at this point was already charging at him, I stepped in front of him, and held him in place. I whispered in his ears "He doesn't know what he is saying, he isn't going to hurt anyone. Don't worry and if he was about to we are right by your father's domain. He would be no challenge"
Percy calmed down but still held himself ready to attack. After several attempts by Hagrid to try and get the merpeople he gave up.
Leo always having the 'Smartest of ideas' said "Why not get Percy to get them, I bet he'd be able to get them to come up, and even translate what they say."
Hagrid brightened up and said "Percy why don't 'cha get up 'ere and 'elp me. I think your little friend might have a good idea. Get up 'ere."
Leo ran up behind Percy and pretty much shoved him straight into the lake, Percy gave Leo a look that said I will kill you for this. Percy released a sigh opened his gills and let out a sequence of high pitched screeches. I laughed at what he said, the others looked at me confused, I forgot Percy and I were the only two demigods that knew Merperson.
I turned to the others and tell them what he said of course I said it in Greek, so no one else will know. What he said was "I, Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon, Younger Brother Triton your king, heir to the throne of Poseidon. Summon you, creatures of my father, and subjects of my brother to appear before me."
Of course within moments an entire city worth of Merpeople came up from the black mirth that was the lake. After they came up, the oldest looking one came to the front and started having a conversation with Percy, it simply was why he called them and what their lord would like. Percy looked a little annoyed that he was being called lord, he explained and asked for only a couple to stay.
Of course a lot of the younger ones all looked excited to help their lord. To be honest they all looked kind of like Percy, but had one long fin instead of legs. To be honest they were what you expected mermen to look like. The oldest one allowed Percy to choose two, of course he allowed Hagrid to choose.
Percy then came back to us, to be honest none of us were paying attention to the lesson, Chiron taught us everything we need to know about our other halves while we were waiting for everyones' transformations.
Harry POV:
Percy did that Merperson language, the screechy one that he did on the train and from the first clue from the tri-wizard tournament. The next thing I knew all the merpeople on the lake came up from the bottom of the lake, several looked extremely excited and others seemed to be scared that they were called here.
Percy turned to Hagrid and said that he could choose two Merpeople to stay up and help with the lesson, then he proceeded to hang back with the other exchange students who weren't paying any attention to the lesson.
Luckily this time around was more, visual than hands on. So no one had to actually get in the water and interact with them. Trust me after dealing with this class once, and with the merpeople during the tri-wizard tournament I wasn't so excited to learn about mermaids.
Half way through the class, Hagrid did something no one expected and went into the mythical origin of the Merpeople, he said that it is believed that Merpeople are the creatures of Poseidon. They are ruled by his son, immortal king of the seven seas Triton.
He also said that those who have blue and sea-green scales are said to be direct descendants of Poseidon himself. I remember Percy changing in the train compartment and all of his scales were either of those two colors except for those he said were scares. Knowing the power that he radiated I wouldn't be surprised if he said that he is related to the king of the merpeople.
Hagrid said that those mermaid scales were extremely rare and are used for some of the rarest of potions (AN maybe we are going to need those later). After Hagrid explained that a few merpeople have magic, and even fewer have enough magical power to make themselves look human and have legs.
This continued on for the rest of the period I zoned out, maybe this wasn't as exciting as the lesson with buckbeak. Maybe Dumbledore convinced Hagrid to deal with less dangerous creatures "And next time we be learnen about the sphinx, a deadly Greek monster."
Well there goes the idea that we won't be doing dangerous creatures for a while. With the end of the class I walk up to Hermione and Ron. "Well we have break before History of magic, what would you guys like to do?"
Hermione said "There is something weird about the exchange students and want to know what so I am going to the library to do research." Typical Hermione wanting to do research.
Ron said "I want to face that Anniebell girl in a game of wizard chess, but we won't tell them about Binns I want to see their reactions."
Well at least I will be entertained during the break.
Well that's it for this chapter,
Next will include my plan for the ghost and Nico along with a couple of games of wizard chess.
Until next time
King of Hades.
