Woohoo. Another update. Lucky you all - I've had this idea for a while, and finally got off my lazy butt and wrote it. Woohoo.
Note the lack of enthusiasm in my text.
Yeah... I'm just tired of life right now. And not me life, the other life. Heh, inside joke. Anyways, I got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday... in my mind, today's Thursday. Freaking awesome, right? I skipped three days. But today's not Thursday, it's Tuesday, and that means I have to get packed yet again, because my mom's dragging me off to Florida tomorrow. I'll be honest, initially, I really, really didn't want to go, and for obvious reasons. I've just been away from home for a week - literally just got back Saturday afternoon - because I was at camp for Marching Band, and now I'm having to leave home again. That, and the fact that I had my wisdom teeth pulled just yesterday, and I wanna wallow in self-pity at home and not at a hotel. I'm so selfish, right? But, glob, I know I'm not gonna be able to wallow, so I'll try to enjoy myself on that trip. Wish me and my suddenly angst-filled mind luck.
Yes, I know I'm complaining to the max. Gomen. I didn't want you guys to have to sit through all that.
Sigh. Anyways, back to the reason why I'm here - to provide an update, no matter how humorless it may seem... This one took place specifically after the Battle of Hollow Bastion/1000 Heartless Battle. I got the idea to write this one because hey, I wanted to do a sort of sequel. So, remember the time when those three little girls learned Sephy-san's hair secrets? Well, here's the swordsman's reflections on his goals in life.
Disclaimer:
Riku: Kyla, there's no way Sora's heart can make him buff like me. You think I got my amazing muscles just by swinging a giant key around?
Me: Riku, please... I gotta keep this AN from getting much longer... Can you rant to Kyla later? Your ego's gonna swell up if you keep going like this...
Riku: ...! I thought you were on my side!
Me: I thought we already went over this. *sighs* Anyways, I don't own KH.
Riku: But -
Me: Riku, calm yourself. And... donate your Riku vision.
Riku: What?!
Me: XD But really, it's gonna have to happen eventually!
Riku: ...weirdo.
Me: Thanks.
Sephiroth was pacing. Pacing, pacing, pacing, pacing endlessly back and forth at his waiting spot, the Dark Depths. Why was he so troubled?
"That's right..." He said, taking a glance up at the sky. "I have something else I need to do besides waiting here."
He was going to destroy the world—for a long, long time, there were no doubts in his mind about it.
Well, there were no doubts until now.
"But what is the cause of these doubts?" He said aloud to himself, shaking his head.
Cloud was out of the question. There was no way that overly spiky swordsman could stand in the way of his world elimination. That Keyblade wielder – whatever his name was – was also out of the question. That overly spiky swordsman wouldn't stand in his way either.
"The what is it?!" Sephiroth yelled into the sky, glaring at the clouds that rolled by. They had that namesake...
Suddenly, a memory in the back of his head rose up — the memories of those three girls... Those three, adorable little girls... The ones who asked him about his hair.
His amazing hair...
Sephiroth sighed, running a gloved hand through said hair. "There's no way... that they're the reason...!"
They couldn't be the reason. It couldn't be true! Those three measly little girls, girls who were obsessed with his hair...
Or rather, they only asked about it...
No, no, nu-no, no. The silver-haired swordsman threw his arms up towards the heavens, letting out a cry of frustration. How could those three simple little girls dispose of his goal, his grace, so much, so quickly?
Sephiroth sighed, lowering his arms and staring at the crystalline landscape around him. After a long stretch of silence in both his mind and his mouth, he finally said, shaking his head, "Maybe... Maybe I shouldn't. Those girls... seemed nice enough... I can't destroy a world with them in it."
Sephiroth was already known as a villain, that much he knew, but to young innocents like those three girls, he was just another citizen strolling by. He was just another man. As much as the thought bothered him, as much as he didn't want to be ranked with those so obviously beneath him, he was ranked that way in the minds of those little girls.
In fact, he wasn't even ranked as a normal man — he was ranked as a nice man in their presence, all because he answered their questions about his hair.
That had to have been the nicest thing he's done in years.
No matter how much he wanted to rid his mind of the eyesore that was the planet, he wouldn't do so, because those girls viewed him as a nice man.
He wouldn't give up that image for world destruction, no matter how appealing the latter seemed to be.
Because for once, he wasn't Sephiroth, the notorious villain, he was simply the man with nice hair.
The silver-haired swordsman ran a hand through his silky strands once more, shaking his head. "Who knew that the future of this world depended on those three little girls."
Those girls... whose cuteness was one of his only weaknesses.
Not that he'd ever admit that.
Because Sephiroth isn't cold-hearted enough to destroy a world with adorable little girls in it.
