You guys'd better be happy. Two updates in one day, as out of it as I'm feeling... glob... I swear, it's only about 9:15, still Tuesday, but in my mind, it's 3 AM, on Friday... I swear it's the pain medicine. It's making me completely lose my sense of time...

Sigh.

Anyways, I was inspired to write this one by the fact that there are so many... natural hair colors amongst the KH characters... and then there's Riku and Marluxia, with silver and pink respectively. Not that I mind their hair colors, just why do they have them? So here's my take, I guess. Now, I'd say this one takes place after KH2... maybe even after DDD...

Also, warning, this whole thing is basically a giant fourth wall break. If you don't like that kind of stuff... I'd advise you wait until the next update...

Disclaimer:

Riku: Actually, I'd be even more buff had that giant key not come around! I was doing some intense training when the island went and disappeared!

Me: Riku, please, calm yourself...

Riku: And you, you're just letting all the reviewers take hits at me! I can't defend myself!

Me: Riku... I hate to do this, but do I have to remind you who's in charge here?

Riku: ...!

Me: Yes, I know I pulled an unfair move, but glob, you need a serious attitude check! 'Specially in this installment!

Riku: I had nothing to do with that. You're the author here, I'm just a victim of the ideas.

Me: Sheesh. Well, I can find a lot more ideas for you to fall victim to, so just don't push it! We both know I could make your life horrible!

Riku: Fine then!

Me: Sigh... Anyways, I don't own KH. But before I jump ahead to the story... I feel the need to mention this... Hey, Riku, aren't we both a bit fired up?

Riku: Yeah. I don't know what's up with you, but I know your ideas have ruined my reputation!

Me: Sheesh... is something bothering you?

Riku: Nothing except for your ideas.

Me: Well... I can't help that one. I'll try my best, but... The installments in which you're embarrassed are the ones that kinda get the best reception, so...

Riku: ...

Me: Gomen...

The destined trio was strolling along the shore of their island, just enjoying each others' company and listening to the rolling waves.

Suddenly, the group's silence was broken when Sora asked, turning to the oldest of the group, "Hey, Riku, I always meant to ask you this, but it always slipped my mind until now." Sora paused and Riku looked at him expectantly. After a small breath, he continued, "Why is your hair silver?"

Riku raised an eyebrow, retorting, "And why is your hair brown?"

Sora shook his head, saying, "No, I'm serious. Are you an albino or something? I mean, neither of your parents have silver hair, and your skin is pretty pale..."

At this, Riku started to get slightly nervous. He couldn't get found out... "Uh... I might have inherited it from my grandparents."

Kairi shook her head, saying softly, "Riku, I've met both your mom's parents and your dad's parents, and they didn't have silver hair, either..."

"Great-grandparents." Riku said almost too quickly, his hands getting slightly clammy.

"That seems unreasonable..." Sora said, staring intently at his friend. "You look like you're hiding something from us."

Riku furrowed his eyebrows, trying to think of a fast solution to this. After about a minute, he decided that the truth needed to be told. He was going to get found out sometime anyways... "Well," Riku started, his tone completely honest, "The producers probably got bored with trying to give everyone normal hair colors, so characters like me, Marluxia, Aqua, Axel, Zexion, and maybe some others I'm forgetting the names of were made to throw off the balance and give the series some... 'hair flair.' Why they picked silver for me, and pink for Marluxia, I'm not sure..."

Sora and Kairi only stared at their friend as he nodded to himself, sighing. After a long minute of silence, Kairi started laughing and Sora said, "You're really funny, Riku."

Riku shook his head, saying, "No, I'm telling the truth. You guys..."

Kairi giggled again and said, "Inheriting it from your great-grandparents seemed more reasonable than that. You had us going, Riku, you really did!"

The silver-haired teen sighed once more before saying, his voice taking on a tone of defeat, "Alright, alright, you got me." Inside, however, he was actually relieved that they didn't believe him. He might be a bit mad when he finds out... Whatever. "I made it all up."

Sora laughed and said, "Ah, we know." He looked up at the sky and said, turning towards the docks, "Anyways, it's getting late. We should head back."

"Yeah." Kairi replied.

Riku only nodded and the trio returned to the mainland, and then to their homes.

Once he was alone in his room, Riku sighed and said, "I'm doomed."

And, indeed, later that night, just as the teen was about to fall asleep, a figure emerged from the shadows. Riku tensed before he noticed who it was. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry, Mr. Nomura."

The figure standing in his room was the one and only Tetsuya Nomura, creator of Kingdom Hearts. And let me tell you, he wasn't very happy. "Riku. They almost found out."

Riku sat up and rubbed the back of his head, letting out a yawn. "Yeah, I know. You were going to get found out eventually... Even so, they didn't believe me, so you're still safe."

"For how long?" The creator said, furrowing his eyebrows and crossing his arms. "If they find out —"

"— we'll do the same thing we did last time." Riku broke in, raising a brow at the man standing across his bedroom. "Now, if you'll excuse me," The silver-haired teen said, laying back down and rolling to face away from Tetsuya Nomura, "There's this thing I like to call sleep, and I need to get some of that. It's a sacred treasure."

The creator of Kingdom Hearts scoffed and said, slightly irritated, "Just be more careful next time, Riku. Information like this is —"

Once again, Riku broke in, saying tiredly, "I know, I know, it's highly classified, blah blah, whatever. Shouldn't you be, oh, I dunno, finishing up Kingdom Hearts 3?"

Tetsuya Nomura glared at the silver-haired teen and said, a threatening tone in his voice, "Riku... you should respect your elders..."

Riku let out a quick chuckle, scoffing. "You sound like Vexen. What are you gonna do to me? Kill me off? I'm sure that nothing you could do in canon could be worse than what I've been through outside of this safety bubble I call the games..."

Eyebrows raised as the creator stared at Riku questioningly. "You know about those?"

Riku sighed. "Hard not to. Some of the things that happen out there... Horrible beyond words."

Tetsuya Nomura sighed before saying, a tone of finality in his voice, "Anyways... just make sure this doesn't happen again."

Riku waved a dismissive hand, "Alright, alright. I'll be more careful."

Sir-creator-san sighed, knowing that he wasn't going to get any respect out of the teen. Why'd he have to create such a character? The one and only shook his head, saying, "Okay. Don't make me have to come back... again." With that, Sir-creator-san left, disappearing into the shadows.

There was a long stretch of silence before Riku sighed and stretched, sitting up and running a hand through his hair. "...geez. I've gotta watch myself..." Riku shook his head, laying back down and closing his eyes. "That guy's intimidating."

Sheesh... Riku was seriously rude... Disrespecting Sir-creator-san! How dare he? Sheesh...

But, ah. Anyways. Riku knows all.

Told you this would be a giant fourth wall break.

Review if you want... I really wanna reach 50, but if it takes a while, even if I'm three away... I'll be okay with that...
