Can You Heal My Hidden Pain?
(Chapter 8)
After the criminal was locked up and Usagi and Joey had their wounds taken care of, Atemu took them to the garden to help calm their nerves. He was worried about his bunny as she was still shaking in her brother's arm as he carried her. But he, along with Seth were curious about the pup's fighting ability back in the throne room. They would have to ask him where he learned to fight like that. Once they made it to the garden Joey put Usagi down by the little pond rubbing her arms in confront. Usagi did calm down some after an hour or so, and started to walk around the garden looking at all the flowers with her brother. As the sibling spent time together Atemu and Seth talked about Joey's fighting skills.
"He has the graces of a well trained soldier. He has been trained for a long time just like us." Atemu spoke quietly as he watched the siblings laugh about something they didn't hear.
"I am going to the training grounds today, I think I'll take him with me this time." Seth said after he walked over to his pup. Atemu thought about the brother and sister and how they had so much trouble with simple orders. He knew the Pup was just being a pain in Seth's neck, but his bunny acted as if she had never been made to work a day in her life. And the way the pup was so pissed whenever someone tried to act better then him, he would just stare them down with a look that he, himself would almost call noble. And if the two were nobles of some country that would explain why they wouldn't know how to do the things a slave or servant does. He would have to corner the bunny later about that.
~Later that evening~
Taking Joey with him, Seth checked on the soldiers and their training. Joey stood behind him annoyed as he watched the soldiers. Joey was impressed with the Egyptian men as they drilled themselves in their swordsmanship. He was glad that Egypt had stayed out of the war with the moon. They talked to the generals and learned that King Endymion was gathering more allies and pushed the Moon back. The rumor they heard was he push them so far back that the Queen had to put up a banner around the Moon. Endymion's Queen magic was only growing stronger by this. After the talk, Seth went the dueling rings where the soldiers trained everyday.
"Who is the best fighter among all of you sons of Egypt!" shouted Seth as walked into the dueling ring. Joey raised an eyebrow as he watched his "master". The soldiers grinned and cheered as they gather round.
"Sons of Egypt, show me your strength!" Seth challenged as the first man stepped forward. He fought any and all who stepped up. Joey would never say it out load, but he was impressed by Seth. He didn't think his master would be this good at swordsmanship. As the afternoon went by and the sun started to go down did Seth stop taking challengers and retied for the night, telling the soldiers that he would test their strength again tomorrow.

Seth was going over some papers as Joey laid on their bed bored out of his mind. He couldn't understand why Seth would challenge his own men like he did? Looking over at him, Joey trying to see why he would do that. Seth could feel Joey's eyes on his back as he worked. After ten minutes of feeling Joey's eyes on him, turning to look at him, Seth saw a blank look on his face, but his eyes held that fire in them again. That fire stir something up in Seth every time his puppy had that those eyes. Joey yelp as he was pushed onto his back. Before he could yell at him, Seth sealed his lips with a kiss, deeping it when Joey tried to yell. Joey started to panic more as Seth started to paw at his legs. Having his tongue bitten, Seth snapped his head back holding Joey's hands in one hand
"That hurt." Seth had that dark look in his eyes again and Joey paled.
"S-seth!" Joey squeaked as Seth smirked down at the pup. Joey tried to kick Seth off himself, twisting and turning.
"Be still, Pup!" Seth snapped. Joey froze in his place, Seth only used that tone when he tried something in the room his first night. Now, Joey didn't know what to do. He really couldn't disobey his master without getting in big trouble. What could he do? What was he going to do? So many thought race through Joey's mind as Seth kissed his neck. He couldn't move. He was going numb as his mind raced. Only when a hand move under his loincloth did he snap back and jumped.
"No! Please, no, Seth." Joey whimpered as he tried with a new fire to get his hands free. The hand did not stop moving.
"Nonononono!" In his panic, Joey headbutted Seth as he went in for another kiss. That snapped Seth back to himself.
"Ow! What?" It took Seth a good few moment to realize what he was doing. Getting off his puppy and sat a few feet away from him, looking over his scared pup he could start to see small love bits form on Joey's chest and neck. He could still see the fear that had replace the fire that started this. He wasn't too sure what just come over him, but he had almost done something that he could never take back. Without saying anything, Seth got up and left, leaving a very scared and confused Joey behind. Seth didn't come back until he knew Joey would be well sound asleep.
~The next day~
Seth ignored Joey for most of the day as he went about his work. Joey was getting annoyed as Seth didn't even explain himself at all and now he wouldn't even look at him. Joey was going to get an answer even if he had to beat it out of his "master". And he knew when he could get away it or so he hoped.
Once again Seth walked into the dueling ring and said the same thing as the soldiers gathered together. But this time Joey was ready and as soon as the words left Seth's mouth, he jumped into action.
"I will." Seth really shouldn't have been surprised, but he just hoping that maybe just maybe the pup wouldn't, not when he knew that fire would be in his eye again, but his pride wouldn't let him back down now.
"Ok, Pup." The soldiers were shocked to see a slave answer the challenge, a few even snickered at Joey as he stepped into the ring.
"A slave thinks he can beat Priest Seth?"
"He won't last Five minutes."
"He's going to be put in his place really fast." Were just a few things that the soldier said as one handed Joey a sword.
"So you think you can beat me?" Seth tainted, he may as well put his all in this fight like the pup was going to. Once Joey had his weapon, swinging it few times to test the weigh he took his fighting stands. Sizing up Seth with a bored look, Joey hopped a little on his feet. Now, Seth was one to keep his cool, but it annoyed him to no end when Joey gave him that look. No one could tell, but Joey knew he was annoying Seth. Good, that was what he was going for. That one good thing about living with Seth, he always knew when and what made him annoyed.
They circled each other a few time, watching the other, looking for any signs of weakness. Seeing none, Joey deciding to test Seth. Giving a Lunar battle cry to throw off Seth, he charged. The battle cry did it job and starling him like Joey wanted, but Seth snapped out it just in time to parry Joey's swing. Joey didn't stop he kept up the attack as Seth dodged and blocked. Joey figured that Seth would be an even match, but he didn't think he would be this good. This pissed him off, he already didn't like when Seth acted like he was better than him. Seth smirked, noticing the pissed look on Joey's face. Seth knew that pissing off Joey was going to be the best way to beat him. With the plan in mind, Seth went on the attack pushing Joey to defend. After a few minutes of not letting up of his attack, Seth put his plan into action.
"Is that all you got, pup!" Seth let a little smile slip as he heard the annoyed huff as he blocked another swing of Joey's sword.
"I really thought for a moment there that you might be a challenge for me, but I guess I'll just put you in your place." Seth continued as he moved fast and swung stronger. Anyone could see that Joey was pissed and having a hard time keeping up with Seth. Seth thought enough was enough and move to finish this fight. With more forces then Joey thought Seth had, he sent Joey's sword flying out of his hand with Seth's sword ending up pointing at Joey's throat.
"Give up!" Seth said proudly as he thought Joey had no other choice, but to surrendered
"Never!" With a step back and showing just how strong his legs really were. Joey jumped and flipped over Seth's head. Using Seth's shock to his advance , Joey kicked his leg out from under him to trip him up . Seth snapped out of it when he feel his sword be smacked out of his hand, so he quickly turn to Joey, but he was already pushed by him. Seth grabbed a hold of Joey's arm pulling him with himself. So both ended up on the ground with Joey sitting on Seth's waist with their chest touching. No one moved an inch, standing in shock as they looked on in amazement. Putting his weigh on his arms, Joey sat up to look down at Seth.
"Give up?" He mocked. Seth looked up at Joey, but a fade glow draw his attention up to Joey's forehead, where he saw a crescent moon was.
