With that said, this installment was inspired by me, who tripped over a chair (that I had my hand on), and I wondered, how much did Riku hit when he had the blindfold on? This takes place after the end of CoM.

Disclaimer: I don't own KH.

There was a thud and a groan. Riku rubbed his forehead for the tenth time that day.

"Riku," a soft voice chimed from behind him, "Are you sure you don't want to take that blindfold off?"

Riku shook his head. "Naminé, it's fine." He firmly planted a hand on the wall, knocking on it twice to hear how the sound bounced. "I've got to learn how to walk around with this thing on, or I'll get finished in battle."

Naminé sighed heavily, playing with the latches on the first aid kit as she trailed behind him. "Respectable motive."

Riku gave a hum of agreement, then began walking again, striding forward confidently.

"Riku, wait—"

There was another thud, and another groan.

"Why are there so many walls... everywhere..." He plopped down on the floor, massaging his forehead, trying to get rid of the throbbing headache he had.

"Why don't you hold your hands out in front of you?" Naminé volunteered, "That'd make things a lot easier." She handed him an ice pack from the kit, and he took it thankfully.

"Hold my hands out?" Riku shook his head. "That'd look really dumb."

Naminé smiled patiently at him. "Dumber than running into every wall you come across?"

Riku was silent for a minute before he admitted, "Point taken."

Naminé giggled and helped the blindfolded teen stand, turning him to face the correct direction before giving him a light shove, sending him on his way. "Hold your arms out!"

And Riku didn't ever tell her, but it did make things easier. A lot easier. Running into things hands-first instead of head-first was a relief.

Riku's so adorkable. I hope the bruise that forms on his forehead isn't too large... Naminé has good ideas.
