Sky has just reached her second trimester and she is currently at a doctor's appointment with Clark, her shirt is raised to reveal her stomach as the doctor measures the length of her stomach with an eyebrow raised.
"Is something wrong" Sky asks?
"Nothing, an ultrasound won't fix" Dr. Smith says before wheeling over the ultrasound machine. Clark looks at Sky not liking how the question was avoided, his step mom shivers at how cold the gel is when she presses the flat bottomed thing against her skin moving it around. Sky and Clark eyes go to the screen as an image pops up and the doctor leans in closer.
"You are only in your four months but you are showing alot faster than my other patients and the fetus appears to be larger" Dr. Smith states.
"Is that a problem for the baby" Sky asks?
"No it just means you will have a bigger baby" Dr. Smith says and wipes off Sky's stomach.
"There is something seriously off her with her pregnancy, the fetus appears to be five months but she is only four months along" Clark hears and turns his head to see Dr. Smith writing down on his charts but his lips didn't move.
"Clark honey what's wrong" Sky asks seeing his confusion.
"I will be right back with your next appointment date" Dr. Smith says and walks out of the room.
"Clark what's wrong" Sky asks?
"I don't know but he didn't talk but I heard him in his mind say that something is off with the baby, the baby is five months but you are only four months along" Clark says.
"You read his mind" Sky asks?
"I guess I did" Clark says.
"Another one of your powers must be telepathy" Sky says.
"But what if something is wrong with the baby" Clark asks?
"We will figure it out once we get home" Sky says as she pulls her shirt down and sits up as the doctor walks in.

When they get home, Cole is in the kitchen cooking dinner; Clark walks in and grabs a apple while Sky sits down at the table and places her hands over her stomach as worry sketches over her facial features.
"What's wrong" Cole asks?
"Clark developed telepathy and read the doctor's mind; he says the baby is too big for me to only be four months into my pregnancy and that something is off" Sky says as Cole drains the pasta.
"Is it a hazard" Cole asks?
"I don't know the doctor said everything was fine and that it will probably just be a big baby" Sky says.
"I'll call tomorrow and arrange a magical doctor" Cole says.
"I'm going to go lie down, I feel tired" Sky says and walks pass Cole and Clark and heads upstairs.
"Dad have you noticed she is is exhausted more" Clark asks?
"She is pregnant with a powerful child" Cole says.
"No I mean when she feels it's like she feels more deeply, when I was telling her about my fears and worry towards the baby"s health. It's like it took a very strong on her instantly but she brushed it off, but I can see it in her eyes" Clark says.
"I think I know what you are getting at, I think the baby may be an empath and because how powerful he or she is. They are feeling the emotions of everyone close to them, thus affecting Sky" Cole says.
"How do we help her then" Clark asks?
"Let her rest for right now. But after dinner I will tell her about the empathy" Cole says.
"Will there red velvet cake" Clark asks?
"Will your homework be done" Cole asks?
"You can't answer a question with a question" Clark says.
"Whose says I can't" Cole asks?
"Everyone" Clark asks?
"Who is everyone" Cole asks?
"Stop answering my answers with questions" Clark says.
"Why" Cole asks smirking as he sees his gone getting irritated.
"This is pointless, I am going to my room to do my homework" Clark says throwing his hands up and walking towards the stairs.
"Was that so hard" Cole asks loudly so Clark can hear him?
"Ugh" Clark growls back making Cole laugh.
He likes times like these where they can find something fun to do even when something is wrong.
