Luna woke up to Twilight tossing and turning. She looked over to see that Twilight was also mumbling in her sleep.

Luna closed her eyes and pointed her horn to Twilight's head.

When Luna opened her eyes she saw that Twilight was sitting on the floor crying. All around her were silhouettes of ponies were saying hurtful things, laughing, and pointing at her.

When Twilight went to stood one of them kicked her down. Twilight cried out in pain as she fell to the floor.

"Why would Princess Luna ever fall in love with you?"

"Two mares married, what a disgusting sight."

"How would they even have foals?"

"Look at you, you can't even stand."

"Little."

"Weak."

"Useless."

"Insignificant."

"Enough!" Luna yelled as she blasted all of the silhouettes away.

Twilight looked up, her face drenched with tears. "Luna?"

Luna ran over and pick Twilight up, "Yes my love, I am here."

Twilight buried her head into Luna's chest, her body started to violently shake as she continued to cry. Luna rested her head on Twilight's as she gently stroked her mane.

"It's okay Twilight, you are safe now." Luna whispered in a gentle tone.

Twilight nodded as she started to calm down.

"Tonight I will give you a pleasant dream but, when we wake tomorrow you are going to explain to me why you had this nightmare. Understood?" Luna said.

Twilight nodded as her body still shivered a little.

Luna gently touched to tip of Twilight's horn with her own and a little spark changed the eerie scene around then to something more soft and beautiful.

Luna opened her eyes to see Twilight sleeping peacefully now. She sighed as she pulled her sleeping figure close.

"Sweet dreams my love." Luna whispered

The next morning Twilight woke up to and empty bed. She yawned as she sat up scanning the room for her wife.

"Luna?" She called out as she got off of the bed and stretched.

She opened their bedroom door and poked her head out, "Luna?"

She started to walk down the long hallway, "Luna?"

Twilight got to the throne room and it was empty. There was one pony mopping the floors.

"Um excuse me?" She called out.

The pony looked at her and bowed.

"No you don't have to do that. Can you tell me where Princess Luna went?" Twilight asked.

"Princess Celestia and Luna were called to an urgent meeting this morning. There was a fallout with one of our neighboring kingdoms and they went over to resolve the issue before it got out of hand." The pony said.

"Well why didn't anypony wake me?" Twilight asked looking a little irritated.

"Oh, we were under strict orders to let you sleep." The pony said.

Twilight sighed as she rubbed her forehead, she started to feel a slight headache coming on.

"Thank you." She said as she turned and left.

She made her way to the bedroom. She closed the door behind her as she walked over to the bathroom.

On the sink she saw a note. She picked it up and recognized Luna's hoofwriting.

"Good morning,

I apologize for not waking you my love. You just looked so peaceful after I

banished that evil nightmare that I just couldn't bring myself to wake you. Celestia and I went to take care of some legal matters with one of our allies. I felt like that would be too much to put on you all at once. I know you are probably a little upset with me for just leaving but, I will be back. In the mean time the servants and guards have been told to leave you alone. If you get hungry feel free to seek one of them out.

Love, Luna"

Twilight smiled as she hugged the letter, "Just come back to me safe." She whispered her own little prayer.

Her stomach started to growl at the mention of hunger in the letter. She sighed as she left their bedroom once again. She decided to leave to the servant ponies alone as she made her way quietly to the kitchen.

She poked her head in to find it empty. "Wow this place is really quiet when not much activity is going on." She said to herself.

Her stomach growled again, this time more violently as she opened the fridge. Everything looked good to Twilight's hungry eyes.

She pulled out cake, cookies, salad, ice cream, mustard, hot sauce, strawberries, and water.

Twilight didn't even noticed how odd this food combination was. She threw it all together in a bowl and started to chow down.

A servant pony walked in, "Oh princess Twilight, you are awake." The pony bowed down.

Twilight waved her mouth full of food.

The servant pony looked at Twilight's bowl with a questionable look.

"If you want Princess the I could have the chief prepare something for you." The pony said.

Twilight shook her head as she shoveled another spoonful of food into her mouth. The servant pony just backed out of the kitchen with a worried look on her face.

Once Twilight was finished she placed her bowl in the sink and washed her hooves and face.

"Wow, I don't think I have ever been that hungry before." She said to herself as she left the kitchen and made her way to the room.

The servants watched her to make sure that she was alright as she closed the door to her and Luna's room.

"Are you sure she was eating all of that stuff?"

"Yeah she looks fine to me."

"I am not lying the bowl was huge and was just full with whatever was in the fridge. Go look, I bet the fridge is like half empty now."

"That is unusually, usually Princesses keep themselves in top physical form."

"Yeah which makes you question her choice in breakfast."

Twilight yawned as she layed back down on the bed. She figured Luna would be back soon so she decided to wait for her.

Her eyelids started to grow heavy and before she knew it they were closed and she was fast asleep.

Twilight woke up a few hours later to the feeling of something warm and soft on her lips. She smiled as her eyelids fluttered open and she saw Luna kissing her.

"That is how you wake a sleeping beauty." Luna smiled as she gently kisses Twilight's forehead.

Fear rose in Twilight fast and hard as she felt something wasn't right. She couldn't place her hoof on it but she was afraid to open her mouth. She felt like there was a vacuum sucking up her stomach.

She soon realized what was happening as she knocked Luna over and ran to the bathroom.

Luna fell back with an oomph. At first she look hurt, but then when she heard the sounds that came from Twilight in the bathroom her face immediately turned to fear.

"Oh no," She said as she jumped up and bust the door open. Twilight put her hoof up as she hurled her entire breakfast into the toilet.

"No, Luna...don't" She tried to say between breaths.

Luna gently pulled back Twilight's mane as she began to gently rub her back. Luna gasped as Twilight continued to hurl.

Once she finished Twilight's face was drenched in sweat. Luna used a warm washcloth to wipe her face and mouth with as she flushed the toilet.

Luna felt Twilight's forehead, she was burning up.

Twilight was gasping for air was she whined a little holding her stomach.

"Twilight, sweetheart. What is that matter? Where does it hurt? Talk to me." Luna said as she started to freak out. She grabbed Twilight's face gently and made her look at her.

"My stomach and head, I feel like I might puke again." Twilight whined, her voice cracking a little.

Luna pulled Twilight close. She gently rocked Twilight as she whined gently. Tears started to fall from Luna's eyes as she yelled out for the only person she knew could help her.

"Celestia!"

Twilight woke up in a bright room. She could hear the steady beeping of a heart monitor. She could hear the commotion outside of her room. She felt something soft underneath her. She soon realized she was in a hospital. She yawned as she tried to sit up.

"Don't get up, you are still weak." Luna said.

Twilight turned her head and saw her wife sitting right next the bed. "What happened? Why can't I remember anything?"

Luna grabbed Twilight's hoof and squeezed it, "What is the last thing you remember my love?"

"I was dreaming and then you kissed me to wake me up." Twilight said as the rest of her memories up until the point of her getting here were all fuzzy.

"So you don't remember hurling your entire stomach and all of its contents into the toilet?" Luna said.

Twilight jumped up, "I Did What!?" She screamed.

Luna gently pushed Twilight to lay back down, "Don't worry my love. The doctor says it may have been something you ate. What did you have for breakfast?" She asked.

Twilight started listing off everything she ate. Slowly but surely the realization began to hit Luna. Her face turned to a look of shock and Twilight look at her wife confused.

"Luna, are you okay?" Twilight asked looking a little worried herself.

"No, it can't be." She said as she tried her best to hide the smile that started to form on her lips.

Twilight was about to say something when the doctor entered the room.

"Ah, morning Mrs. Sparkle. How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Better." She said.

Luna looked over at the doctor, she needed to confirm her suspicion.

He grabbed the clipboard that was hanging on the foot of her bed. "Well now it appears we have found the problem. It's not what we were expecting but the tests don't lie."

"What is going on?" Twilight asked.

"We did an ultrasound on you Mrs. Sparkle and found an unusual ball of cells right here in your uterus." He said as he pulled up the ultrasound pictures.

"This means…" Twilight began, not being able to finish the sentence as she finally put two and two together.

"You are pregnant, Mrs. Sparkle."
