Twilight slept peacefully, dreaming about her family. Luna gently showered Twilight with kisses; kissing her eyelids, nose, ears, cheeks, and forehead.
Her eyes fluttered as she yawned and stretched. Luna smiled as she gently kissed her lips.
"Good morning my love." Luna whispered.
"Morning." Twilight whispered back.
"So what do you way we have a little fun this morning huh?" Luna asked.
"Only if your 'friend' gets to join." Twilight smirked.
Luna smiled and climbed on top of Twilight, "I guess we can invite him."
Twilight wrapped her hooves around Luna's neck and gently pulled her down and gently kissed her lips.
Luna smiled as her horn started to glow. Twilight gasped, she reached up and touched Luna's horn to stop her magic
Luna broke the kiss and looked at Twilight confused, "What is the matter my love?"
"I hear a little pegasus running to our room as we speak," She said as she gently pushed Luna off.
Luna landed next to her on the bed as she groaned.
Vesper burst through the door and dove onto his mother's bed.
"Morning mother. Morning mommy." He yelled as he climbed further up and laid in between his mother's.
Luna smiled as she looked at her son, "Why are you up so early?"
"Because I am excited!" He exclaimed.
"Why?" Twilight asked.
"Because silly mommy, we are going on our vacation today."
Twilight and Luna shared a look of confusion.
Vesper sat up and frowned, "Did you two forget? You said if I do extra lessons this month that we can go to Winsome Falls."
Luna glared at Twilight and Twilight blushed, " I may have mentioned that Tundra, Rainbow and Fluttershy are going and well Vesper may of said that he wanted to go as well."
Luna continued to glare at Twilight as she continued, "and I may have made a deal with him that if he did extra lessons this month that we will go."
Luna gave Twilight a look that translated to, 'You know we are in the middle of a political crisis right now and we can't just go take a vacation.'
Twilight gave Luna a look that translated to, 'But I can't just take back my word.'
Luna sighed as she gently rubbed her temples. "Vesper, we may have to wait on that vacation for a while."
Vesper's expression changed, "Why mom?"
Luna sat up and gently rested her hoof on her son's shoulder, "Ves, you mother and I have a lot of work to do and we really cannot afford to take a vacation at the moment."
Vesper sniffled as he felt like he was going to cry, "But they only do it once a year."
Luna sighed, "There is always next year."
Vesper pouted as he hopped off of the bed and stomped out of the room.
Twilight sighed, "I hate telling him no when he has worked so hard."
Luna hugged Twilight close, "We have to take care of this situation. Maybe you can talk to your friends and ask them if they can push the vacation back to next month. By then we should be finished with our business."
Twilight broke free of Luna's grasp and sat up, "I will send them a letter today. In the meantime we need to get up my love. We have a meeting in about twenty minutes."
Luna nodded as she sat up as well, "I will meet you there, I am going to comfort Vesper."

Luna gently knocked on the door that led to Vesper's room. There was no answer, so she gently pushed the door open.
"Ves?" Luna called out as she poked her head into the room.
Vesper was sitting on his bed, his back turned to the door. Luna walked towards him and gently laid a hoof on his back.
"Vesper, we can still go on the vacation, you just have to be patient." Luna said softly.
Ves turned around to look at his mother, he has tear stains littering his cheeks.
"I just wanted to leave the castle and not have to stay in either Ponyville or Canterlot. Equestria is made up of many more towns and cities, all of which I have yet to explore. Equestria isn't the only realm of our world either. I know I spoke out of line mother, but it is just unfair." Vesper said.
Luna smiled as she held her son close. He was always well spoken when he was upset or when he was arguing. He reminded her so much of herself when she was his age.
"Vessy, what do you say you come with your mother and I to the meeting?" Luna offered
Vesper pulled away from her embrace to look at her face to see if she was serious, "Really?"
Luna nodded, "Of course, you would be able to see what your mother and I handle while we are away"
Vesper nodded, "Okay."

Luna and Twilight led Vesper into the meeting room. He had been in the meeting room before but this time the room was full of ponies.
As Vesper followed his mother's he was being watched by the delegates. Some of them whispered something to one another and that made him feel uncomfortable. Vesper's head hung low as if he tried to hide himself behind his mother's.
Twilight sat down and Luna next to her. Twilight reached down and helped Vesper climb into her lap. Vesper looked over at all of the older delegates who collected around the table.
Celestia entered with Discord trailing behind her. Celestia smiled as she saw Vesper snd Discord ruffled his mane playfully.
Celestia took her seat and the meeting was soon underway. Vesper was soon lost as he listened to the delegates bring up recent problems and then Celestia or one of his mothers would respond.
Vesper felt eyes were almost always on him. He felt very self conscious and yet he was unsure of why he should feel self conscious. His thought began to race as the voices started to fade.
Luna gently tapped Vesper on his back. Vesper snapped out of his trance and looked over at his mother. Luna smiled as she gently ruffled his mane.
The meeting was coming to a close and all of the delegates began to stand up from their chairs.
"Mommy, I'm going to go to the bathroom." Vesper says as he slips off of his mother's lap.
As he walks through the crowd of delegates, he hears some whispering.
"Look it's the adopted cretin."
"I can't believe the two still try to have a foal after what had happened."
"I am surprised the young one isn't embarrassed about having filly foolers for mothers."
Vesper was confused by what he was hearing. He ran to the bathroom at full speed.
Twilight and Luna looked at each other, "He must have really had to go."

Vesper cried as he slammed the bathroom door. He wiped his face as he looked at himself in the mirror.
"Why is it bad that I have two mommy's. Tundra had two mommy's." He whispered as he ran the water and rinsed his face off.
"I am adopted. How come neither of them told me." He asked as he dried his face off.
There was a soft knock at the door, "Vesper, are you okay?"
Vesper sighed as he collected himself and opened the door. Twilight was standing there with a worried expression painted on her face.
Vesper thought for a brief moment if he should tell her about what he heard. He was unsure if he should ask her about being adopted.
Twilight noticed that Vesper has zoned out. She waved her hoof in front of is face to try and grab his attention. Vesper shook his head as he focused on his mother.
"Is something wrong?" Twilight asked as she gently laid her hoof on his shoulder.
Vesper decided that it would be better if he just kept it to himself. "Everything is fine mom, I just really had to use the bathroom."
Twilight could sense there was something more, but she decided not to push him any further. She figured that he may still be upset about the vacation. She placed a gentle kiss on his forehead and led him back to the meeting room.
Discord surprised the young colt by picking him up and holding him upside-down. Vesper laughed as he was swung around.
Celestia, Luna and Twilight smiled as they watched the two play. Vesper looked over at Celestia and concocted an evil idea.
"Hey auntie! Let's go on a vacation!" He yelled.
Luna glared at Vesper and Twilight made hoof gestures to tell him to cut it out.
"Yeah we can go to Winsome Falls. I heard it is beautiful this time of year." Vesper added as Discord set the young colt down.
Celestia thought about it for a minute then she nodded, "I think a vacation would be an excellent idea."
Twilight and Luna both looked at each other in confusion.
"Really?" Luna said.
Vesper pouted as he walked up to Luna. "Mom, you am mommy work all of the time. You barely get a chance to guys need this more than anything.""
Luna frowned at her son. He knew better then to ask another for something he was already told no for.
Twilight shrugged, "I mean if Celestia says it's alright, then I guess it could be fine. What do you think Luna?"
Luna sighed as she looked at her son's bright face, "Fine."
Vesper cheered and flew around the room in excitement. Discord summoned an oversized baseball mitt and caught the young colt.
Celestia smiled as Discord returned the colt to his parents.
"Well we better pack." She said.

Vesper was still in trouble and Luna scolded him for what he had did in the conference room.
Vesper sat down and received his scolding, the whole time he couldn't shake the thoughts of him being adopted. He even begun to wonder why he listens to his "parents."
Luna gently patted his head as she told him to pack his bag.
Vesper nodded as he did what he was told.
Luna joined Twilight in their room. Twilight was finishing up the last of the packing and she organized their bags by size and lined them up at the door.
"Twilight, is is just me or does Ves seem like his mind is off somewhere?" Luna asked.
Twilight nodded, "Yeah a little, why do you ask?"
"Because while I was scolding him, he seemed blank." Luna said.
Twilight looked down the hallway at her son's bedroom door, "I wonder what happened."

Soon the carts were loaded and the family was on their way. Celestia and Discord in one. Vesper, Twilight, and Luna in the other.
Vesper stuck his head out of the window as they flew. Luna smiled as she watch him. Twilight was leaning against Luna softly snoring. Luna gently stroked Twilight's mane.
Vesper looked down and watched the landscape pass by. He observed every detail that he could see, from the shape of the mountains, to the fillies playing jump rope.
Some ponies would look at the carts as they flew by and would wave. Vesper would wave back.
"Mom, ponies are saying hi to me." He said as he turned and looked at Luna for a brief moment before turning his attention back to the window.
"They must really like you." Luna nodded as she continued to take care of Twilight while she slept.
The carts came to a soft thud at the base of Winsome Falls. Vesper jumped out of the cart without hesitation.
The soft thud woke Twilight. Luna smiled as she leaned over and gently kissed the sleepy alicorn.
"We are here my love. How was your nap?" Luna asked as she continued to stroke her mane.
Twilight yawned and stretched, pushing Luna back a little. Once she finished her stretch she pulled Luna close to her.
"I did enjoy my nap, where is my son?" Twilight asked.
Luna and Twilight heard a loud playful childlike scream from outside the cart.
"I think we found him." Luna chuckled as she stood up and helped Twilight out of the cart.
Vesper and Tundra were chasing each other around. Luna and Twilight were immediately greeted by Fluttershy and Rainbow.
"Hello Luna and Twilight, I see you guys decided to come after all." Fluttershy whispered gently.
"We were going to send a reply to your letter, but then we received another stating that you guys were coming." Rainbow said.
Luna looked at Twilight, "You sent them another letter?"
Twilight shook her head and they both looked at Vesper. He froze in place when he felt their eyes were looking at him. He looked at his mothers and saw the look they were giving him. He chuckled nervously as he flapped his little wings and took off.
Luna chased after him, "Oh no you don't you little troublemaker."
Luna caught him by his tail and pulled him into her. She held him in her arm as she ruffled his mane.
"You had this planned didn't you?" She asked as she continued to ruffle his mane.
"Ahh! Mommy Help!" Ves screamed down to Twilight.
Twilight continued to talk to Rainbow and Fluttershy and acted as if she didn't hear him.
"Admit to your crimes!" Luna playfully screamed.
"I give I give! I Admit It! I Am A Criminal!" Ves screamed as Luna finally let him go.
He looked like he just woke up, his mane was sticking up at all ends. Vesper pouted as he smoothed his mane down.
Luna smiled as she gently kisses Vesper on his forehead.
Vesper hugged his mother's maul, "I am sorry mother, I just wanted to get out of the castle without the added need of guards breathing down my neck."
Luna gently patted his head, "I know Ves, believe me I do. Next time your mother and I will plan a vacation ahead of time instead of having it be a spontaneous promise. We will even let you pick the venue, Deal?"
Ves nodded, "Deal."
Vesper fell to the floor hard as he face was smashed into the sand. Tundra was laughing as he stood on Vesper's back.
"I am the best ninja!" He yelled.
Vesper pushed him off and spitted some sand out as he ran after Tundra. Tundra taunted him as he ran off. Vesper flapped his wings a little trying to catch up to him.
Luna chuckled as she made her way over to Twilight, Rainbow and Fluttershy.

The families talked and shared stories as they sat around the campfire. Vesper and Tundra both yawned as the sky darkened.
Luna wondered away from the group as she went to raise the moon. Vesper followed behind her and he watched her as she raised the moon.
"That is so cool." Vesper said.
Luna jumped and turned around, "Don't do that Ves, you frightened me."
"Sorry mother, I wanted to see where you had went." Ves said.
Luna sighed as her heartbeat returned to normal. She wrapped her hoof around Ves.
"Mother, I won't be able to raise the moon will I?" Ves asked.
Luna looked down at him with a shocked face. She sighed, "No my dear, you won't."
"So..why am I the prince then? And how come I don't look like you or mommy?" Ves asked as he backed away from Luna.
Luna stumbled over her thoughts as she tried to find something to say.
Vesper's mind was racing, all of the thoughts being jumbled as he heard voices in his head, repeating what he had heard at the meeting.
"Am I adopted?" Ves asked.
Luna's innermind shattered. She just stood there staring at Vesper. Vesper was on the verge of tears and he searched her face to see if he can find any sign in her expression that said it wasn't true.
Vesper let the tears fall when he realized there wasn't any. He wiped his face as he turned away from her and whispered,
"That is what I thought."
He ran off at full speed into the forest. Luna still stood there dumbfounded. She didn't know what happened, she didn't know where that came from. All she knew was that he wasn't supposed to know about that until he was older.
Vesper sighed as he slowed down, the pain from his lungs and his legs begging him to stop. He was now as a walking speed. He was still crying as he continued to walk on. He didn't care about his direction, or his destination.
"I knew it. Somewhere deep down, I knew it was all a lie."
