Vesper continued to walk on as his thoughts ran. He felt the full weight of the world crashing down on his small body as everything he knew, or thought he knew was a lie.

Somewhere deep down in his heart he knew that he never truly belonged. He doesn't really resemble his mother's. Thinking deeper he realizes that two mares having a foal is pretty much impossible.

Then he starts to think about Tundra, is he adopted as well? Next to being pegasi, they both have that in common.

Vesper hears a rustling in the bushes but he doesn't care as he continues to walk. He stares at the ground as more questions flood his mind.

Why wasn't he good enough to be with his real parents? Why would they toss him aside? Did they hate him? Did they try to throw him away? Would he have been better off?

As he walked along a few pairs of glowing eyes followed him as he advanced deeper into the forest.

Luna ran back to the campground. Twilight was sitting down next to Rainbow and Fluttershy. Fluttershy was laying on her stomach with Tundra curled up in her hooves. Twilight jumped up, looking worried as she was Luna's frightened expression.

"Vesper….g...gone." Luna gasped, trying to catch her breath.

Twilight advanced towards Luna as she asked in a worried and confused tone, "Gone? What do you mean gone? Where is my son?"

Luna took a deep breath, "He followed me out to the forest and watched me raise the moon. He asked if he would ever be able to do that, and then proceeded to ask me if he was adopted."

Twilight's eyes widened, "He...what?

Luna nodded.

Rainbow and Fluttershy looked at each other, and Tundra looked up at both of them.

"What did you say?" Twilight asked as she advanced even closer to Luna.

Luna opened her mouth, then closed it, opened it again as she admitted, "I froze"

"What!" Twilight yelled.

"I wasn't prepared for that, what was I supposed to say. I was not going to lie to our son." Luna said.

"We agreed that we would tell him when he was older. He is only six, there is no way he would be able to handle this!" Twilight yelled.

Luna growled, "You act like this is my fault Twilight! I know what we agreed on when we adopted him, I was there! I didn't do this, he came to me with this!"

Twilight yelled, "You shouldn't have froze!"

Luna yelled back as she got in Twilight's face, "Oh and like you would not have!"

They were nose and nose both fueled by their anger. Rainbow and Fluttershy decided to step in before things got out of hoof.

"Alright Luna calm down." Rainbow said as she pushed Luna back.

"You too Twilight" Fluttershy said as both her and Tundra pulled Twilight back.

Twilight sighed as she calmed, "I'm sorry Luna."

Luna rubbed her forehead, "So am I, my love."

"What is important is that we find that little bugger" Rainbow said.

Fluttershy nodded. Tundra nodded too.

Twilight smiled at her friends, "Thank you so very much."

Luna nodded, "Shall we form teams?"

Rainbow nodded, "I will head Solo, Twilight and Luna you two are together. Fluttershy and Tundra you are together."

"But Rainbow…" Fluttershy started.

Rainbow shook her head, "I know what you are going to say Flutters but there is no time. If I go alone I can cover more ground."

Luna nodded, "She is the faster than all of us."

Fluttershy nodded as she looked at Tundra, "Let's go little one."

Tundra nodded as he ran behind his mother.

Dash took to the skies and flew off.

Twilight and Luna ran into the forest.

The words kept pouring into Vesper. He is adopted. The memory of that pony saying it kept repeating in his head. He screamed as he hit his head into the sand.

"I hate this, I hate this so much. Why am I adopted!" Vesper asked as he raised his head from the ground. He looked down at the mark his face made and he grew more and more angry as he slammed his hooves into the ground.

"Was I never good enough! Was I a mistake! You never wanted me did you! You...You AHH!" He screamed as he hit the ground so hard. He panted as he looked down at the hole he created, tears started to stream down his face.

There was a rustling in the bushes behind him. Vesper didn't care he kept his back turned.

"I knew I heard you over here." Tundra said as he ran up to his cousin.

"Tundra?" Fluttershy called.

"He is over here mom!" Tundra yelled back.

Vesper cried as he ignored his cousin and auntie.

Tundra gently placed a hoof on his back, "You wanna talk about it."

Fluttershy emerged from the bushes, but she kept her distance as she smiled at the two.

"It's all a lie, my life is a lie." Vesper cried.

Tundra sighed, "No it's not, you are just thinking that way because you are adopted."

Vesper turned around quick, "And how do you know you aren't?"

Tundra shrugged, "Well I don't know, and I don't really care."

Vesper shook his head, "You don't care that your real parents threw you away?"

Tundra sighed, "What real parents? Those are my real parents."

Vesper screamed, "No they are not. They just grabbed you and took you home like a little lost puppy."

Tundra shook his head, "You are wrong. Look Ves, those are my real parents. They feed me, take me to school, give me a warm home and a hug, they love me with all their hearts, and would do anything to protect me. Those are my parents. I may not have been born from them but that doesn't mean they aren't my parents."

Vesper wiped his face and looked up at his cousin, "But…"

Tundra shook his head, "How do you know your birth parents threw you away. Maybe they did this so you could have a better future. Maybe deep down in their hearts, they knew you would be better off with somepony else."

Vesper's eyes widened as he listened.

"So don't be mad at Auntie Twilight and Auntie Luna. They may not have given birth to you, but they are you real parents. Being adopted isn't so bad now right?" Tundra asked.

Vesper shook his head, "No it's not."

Vesper thought back on all the memories he has had with his mother's. He remembers the good and the bad. Through thick or thin they had loved him and still do.

Vesper stood up and hugged his cousin. Fluttershy smiled, she was proud of her son.

"Thank you Tu…"

There was a low growl emerging from the bushes. The two froze and looked around as many pairs of glowing eyes targeted them.

Fluttershy gasped as the Timberwolves emerged from the bushes. There was only three and they slowly advanced towards the two colts. Tundra jumped in front of his cousin. Vesper jumped in front of him.

"Leave him alone you jerks!" Tundra yelled.

"No you Leave him alone!" Vesper growled.

Fluttershy ran and jumped in front of both of them. She growled at the Timberwolves.

"Stay away from both of them."

The wolves barked at Fluttershy. She held her ground as she slowly pushed the boy's back with her hoof.

She stared the Timberwolves down, they stared back at her. Fluttershy continued to stare and the wolves started to back away. Fluttershy stared them down harder and they continues to back away until they disappeared into the bushes.

Fluttershy sighed as she turned and looked at the colts, "Are you boys alright?"

They both nodded and Tundra ran and glomped his mother.

"That was amazing mom, you have to teach me that." Tundra said.

Fluttershy chuckled, "Don't know it I know how…"

Rainbow landed next to Fluttershy, "That's what all the commotion was about."

Vesper looked around, "Where are my mother's?"

Rainbow patted his head, "Don't worry kiddo, they are on their way."

Not even second later Twilight and Luna emerged from the bushes.

Twilight and Luna looked at Vesper but they kept their distance, unsure if they would upset him enough to run off again.

Vesper smiled as he shivered and ran up to his parents. He hugged them both as he cried.

Twilight and Luna hugged him back, making a little family cocoon.

"You both are my real parents. Doesn't matter where I came from I am your son." He hugged them tighter, "And you are my mothers."

Twilight sniffled as she wiped a tear that fell down her cheek. Luna did the same.

Rainbow, Tundra and Fluttershy just smiled as they watched the three hug it out.

"Let us go back to camp. It has been a busy night." Luna said finally breaking the hug.

Vesper nodded as he climbed onto his mother's back. Luna smiled as she nuzzled him. Twilight smiled as she nuzzled him as well.

Vesper cuddled into Luna's mane as the group made their way back.

Fluttershy gently laid Tundra down as she finished singing her lullaby.

Rainbow covered him up with a blanket. She looked over and saw Twilight holding Vesper as they slept.

Luna smiled as she watched them sleep, "I am the luckiest mare in the world. I have a beautiful wife and an amazing son. What more could I ask for?"

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy smiled as they laid down next to Tundra. They soon drifted off to sleep, leaving Luna alone with her thoughts.

Luna looked back on her life and smiled as she realized that tonight Vesper accepted that he was adopted.

She sighed as she laid down next to her wife and son. One big happy family together again. No one would ever be able to tear them apart.

Luna used her wings to blow out the fire before she slowly drifted off to sleep.
