School Hours

Weston College that spring...

The vast premises contain the school building in a magnificent, gothic-style chapel and four historical student dormitories.

The students are under strict discipline that values tradition above all and are raised to be the new gentlemen of England through a boys-only dormitory life and their individual high-level educational curriculum.

The nobles send their sons to the institution, disregarding the excessively high fees just to obtain that glimmering status.

Its also a closed-off institution that tolerates nothing. Not even governmental interference and influence.

The school is 'ruled' by the Principal and his decisions are all absolute. His public face is his Vice-Principal assisted by the four dorm prefects. besides that, there's the Warden. The Warden is a teacher who lives in the public school's dormitories and guides the students. Then there's a few other workers. The Housekeeper who maintain the cleanliness of common rooms including lobbies, lounges, and bathrooms. And finally, the Footman who serves at the table.

Upon enrollment and passing interviews, Allen was put in Violet Wolf dormitory and Ciel was put in Sapphire Owl. That, and all their education is by dorm too, abiding by their specialties. Not only are they dorm-segregated, their education is also segregated.

Hence, they're on their own.

However, Allen is in a best spot. Because Derek Arden is in Violet Wolf. However, he needs to build his cover first before he could start working. On his first day here, a lot of boys are also attracted by his good looks and he did a job well done in playing his role as the soft-spoken, shy, frail boy that he is easily underestimated. Due to various medical files submitted by Madam Red to the school, he was exempted from all forms of physical activity and some Fag Time activities that involves too much physical work to the point that it is too strenuous for his constitution.

With all things considered, he was given a tour around the dormitory by the Fag of the Violet Wolf dorm, Cheslock.

Most of the students in his dorm are into gothic appearances. Even the prefect wears purple lipstick.

His welcome party was not as rowdy, thankfully. He heard Ciel's welcome party was crazy.

His party however in a way, was just as crazy because a lot of the upperclassmen are flirting with him and trying to get him alone much to sheer discomfort if not for the watchful eyes of Gregory Violet.

'It seems your beauty is more trouble.' Gregory remarked as after the party, he personally escorted Allen to his room. 'You seem to attract...suitors.'

'I don't really know...I've never been out of the house my whole life nor socialized with anyone outside family. Is this a normal thing? For boys to like boys?' Allen asked Gregory curiously.

'Well...in a place like this where there's no women to...spice up one's life most of the year unless its Christmas and new year, the other boys have taken to pursuing relationships with our fairer fellows to alleviate special frustrations and needs, and that means you.' said Gregory as he glanced at him. 'They may take advantage of your frail health.'

'I'm sorry.' Allen apologized meekly. 'Its just the first day and...'

'...its my duty to watch out for everyone's well-being. Need not apologize.' said Gregory as they arrived in Allen's room. 'If things get a little too much...I may have to pull some measures. Good night, Barnett.'

'Yes...good night to you too, Prefect.' Allen bowed as Gregory walked away and Allen retired for the night.

"Oh boy." Allen thought wryly. "The last time I'M the one flirting and now THEY'RE going to flirt with ME? Hah! I have standards, thank you! Thank god I have a guardian angel in the form of that cute Prefect!" he thought with a dreamy sigh as he got ready for bed and set up his alarm clock for early morning. He hated going out without a bath.

However, that next morning, he wasn't alone. He was the earliest one but apparently, many boys are also early risers. 'Huh?'

'Oh, new boy's here too!'

'Heeey! Lookie, he's got body art!' Allen gasped as they took out his left arm which was entirely black with patterns on his shoulder and chest. 'Wicked...I never thought a beauty like you would go for body art!'

'Well...I heard most Violet guys have body art on so I guess its to fit in.' said Allen sheepishly as he took back his arm. 'I really don't like being an odd duck.'

'And Madam Red let you?'

'She's OK with it.' Allen shrugged. 'Mother doesn't mind as long as I'll fit in. Its my first time in an actual school and all...but why is half the dorm early?' he crowed out as he looked around to see a lot of upperclassmen, not just Gregory.

'Well, we all wear make-up and we can't wear make-up with an oily morning face now, can we?'

Allen sweatdropped.

After classes, the Principal's Office...

It was like they were facing hades when summoned to the Principal's Office.

'Allen, how is the Violet Wolf Dorm?' Ciel asked Allen on the way to the office.

'Troublesome.' Allen harrumphed. 'Be careful because you're just as cute, Ciel.' Ciel glanced at him with a raised eyebrow.

'What do you mean?'

'Let's face it. Boys all year round. Not a beauty in sight and of course, boys at their most peak in puberty have special needs yet no women around.' Allen told him. 'I heard the upperclassmen secretly have relationships with the fairer, pretty boys, so be careful and we're the flowers here.' Ciel gave him an incredulous look. 'Didn't Bluer warn you? Violet did for me.' Ciel twitched.

'Apparently he forgot to tell me that.' Ciel growled with a reddened face. Dear lord, boys flirting with HIM like Allen? He didn't even know first thing about flirting and...stuff! Allen on the other hand, given who his mother is, knows how to enamor dumbasses who fall for pretty faces.

'At least now you know.' said Allen. 'With my situation, I'll never be alone but I'll try to beauty my way through my part of the job. Do NOT be alone since you seem not to like company unless its job associates.'

'I'll take that into consideration. For now, we play the part of total strangers to each other.' with that, they went for the chopping block that was the Office.

The Office...

'It has been a day since you first arrived Phantomhive, Barnett.' Herman Greenhill spoke to the two teens who stood before the Prefects. Ciel has his usual, serious attitude with Allen playing the nervous shy boy.

''Feel free to come to Scarlet Fox anytime if you want a change of scenery!' Edgar Redmond offered with a flirtatious smile.

'Only the Principal can decide one's dormitory.' Lawrence Bluer emphasized strongly. 'No exceptions.'

'...all dorms are the same anyway.' said Gregory Violet in a deadpan, flat snark.

'This is a high-class public school protected by tradition and discipline.' the Vice-Principal Johan Agares spoke. 'From the moment you enter, you have to obey the rules. 'Normally, since the Principal who usually gives the welcome speech is busy, I'll represent him. I am Vice-Principal, Johan Agares.'

'The Principal decides all matters in the school.' said Herman. Resting his cricket club on his shoulder,

'These decisions are absolute.' Edgar spoke while holding up a rose.

'And we, the Prefects have been chosen to govern the school.' said Lawrence as he pushed up his glasses.

'A rather unpleasant job in which we subdue all trouble.' said Gregory in his usual flat, deadpan manner of speech as if he's uninterested with the world.

'This has been our tradition since the school's founding.' said the Vice-Principal. 'And...'

'Tradition is absolute!' the four prefects spoke as one man.

'Do you swear to keep to the rules, and obey our tradition and discipline?' the Vice-Principal asked Ciel and Allen who swore, 'I do.' the man then took out a book. 'Then please, sign here.' he said as he was about to walk down the stairs, but he slipped and tumbled down rather painfully, much to everyone's shock and comical disbelief.

'Mr. Agares?!' the four prefects gasped out worriedly and frantically over the man who had one hell of a fall.

'Eep...I-is he OK?' Allen squeaked, looking close to fainting, himself.

'Sorry, sorry, sorry!' he got up as if its nothing, and held out the book for them to sign as if nothing happened, nevermind the blood on his head...causing Allen to swoon and faint.

Part of his act of course.

'Barnett!' Gregory gasped as his newest dorm mate fainted.

'Delicate much?' Herman blinked.

'Delicacy is part of beauty, you big brute.' Edgar playfully teased him and chuckled fondly. 'But alas for the new flower...'

'We better take him to the dorms then.' Lawrence sighed.

'...I think I'll write his name in his stead.' Ciel sighed as he wrote two names on the spaces available at the bottom of the page. 'Moreover do something about that blood on your face, Vice-Principal...'

The routine of the school, is this:

6:30- rise
7:00- morning tea
7:30- first class
9:00- breakfast
9:30- fag time

Violet Wolf dorm cafeteria...Allen was startled by Cheslock. 'Barnett!'

'Eek!'

'Jeez, don't 'eek' me!' Cheslock said in exasperation. 'Until you're assigned to an upper year, your job is to clean the mess hall!'

'Y-yes! Just please don't startle me!' Allen choked out while gasping for air as Cheslock left him. 'Seriously now...we're not in the military for that kind of 'ten-hut' attention-calling...' he sighed weakly as he proceeded to clean the mess hall. He took deep breaths to calm down while doing his work, carrying dirty dishes to the kitchen box for the dishwasher to clean them, and borrowed a washcloth to wipe the tables, and the broom to sweep the floor. He also returned books in proper order.

He was also asked on various errands by Cheslock while going through school life. Classes, recreation...and eventually...

Allen STARED at the mess hall as there's this unusual atmosphere inside it.

'Uhhh...' he backed away, and scooted.

xxx

'Unusual atmosphere at the Violet Wolf mess hall?' Ciel asked Allen incredulously in his room that Allen climbed up in with his superhuman prowess.

'Yeah, there's this heated rivalry atmosphere among the upperclassmen who have yet to get a fag.' said Allen wryly. 'I feel like WWII's about to erupt by how they're glaring at each other. The younger years wisely scooted away like I did.' he said. 'Your upperclassmen acting weird?'

'No, they're normal.' said Ciel. 'So on your end...?'

'Right.' Allen coughed. 'After some herculean effort in sneaking around due to my numerous suitors and I ended up doing it at 3 am in the freaking morning,' Ciel sweatdropped at the lengths the redhead went. That's usually Sebastian's job. 'I got into Derek Arden's room...but the room is squeaky clean. So are other rooms of the students in question.' he said. 'Its like nobody had ever been in those rooms yet their nameplates are on their room doors. I have to wait to be chosen as a fag before I can ask what happened to that guy and the other students.' Allen told him. 'There's literally no clue nor signs of foul play. I can't even get a fingerprint!' he complained.

'So he's made to disappear...why and what for?' Ciel frowned thoughtfully. 'I too, am aiming to be a fag close to the P4 because I want to be frank with the Principal regarding our case. But only the P4 and their fags are allowed to even look at him.' he scowled. 'Looks like I have to wait for Bluer to graduate for Clayton to be Prefect and for me to rise to his position to get that much-needed audience.'

'Looks like we're in for a long job eh?' Allen whistled as he went for the windows. 'Her royal highness-ness won't be happy we're taking long but we have no choice. See you again when I find something.'

'Right...' and Allen left by window express.

'Made to disappear...huh?' Ciel frowned. He would have Sebastian find what Allen could not.
